Although there are roaches and it is an older model, its affordable, right next to the highway and most grocery places. They have pest control every Tuesday, they read the surveys and the paper that involves previous damages when you move in. Theyve always been quick to my maintenence request, very friendly management. Also apparently roaches are just a common thing in phoenix. So its a get what you pay for plus it seems like they are actively trying to make it better, they are adding security.

The Core Security Patrol that you recently contracted with is worthless. . The pool is supposed to close at 11pm. 7/23. I called in with noise complaint at 1119 pm. Loud pool party. 30 minutes later at 1149 I call again . Its now 12 12 am. Pool party finally dissolved on its own. NOBODY SHOWED FROM CORE SECURITY PATROL. Some of us have to work early..

They were quick at resolving a serious maintenance issue with my door lock.

Maintenance is great. Always friendly. My request wasnt urgent and I did wait a couple days but I got it. Some of my vertical blinds were broken and i had them replaced. Some of my light bulbs were burnt out in both bathrooms and they replaced that too. They are busy everyday. Im very happy with our maintenance.I would really like to have our assigned parking back. Ill be coming home later at night and by then there are no covered parking.

I feel at home, place is convenient,a lot of stores around the neighborhood, the manager is very professional, I even saw him with the maintenance, go around door to door to supervise the res. needs to the community.

This had a lot of issues with the apt but it had a good location right next to the stores near it, the laundry room is not that reliable to leave on it’s own to leave unwatched my laundry clothes were stolen, and there was nothing I can do, there was no cameras in the area to keep on watch.

Took four attempts & four months to get repairs which I pointed out on my move in sheet. Actually I am still waiting for those repairs to be made but figured I would write the review now. Leasing agent lied & said the security gate was scheduled to be repaired soon but four months later the gate was still inoperable. Not the worst place Ive lived in but that really isnt saying much. I would not recommend this place to anyone I cared about.

This place was/is horrible. Lived there for two years 2017-2019. First day roaches, got worse and never went away. ROACHES FOR TWO YEARS. #118 has severe water problems which is a reason for the roaches. Leasing called themselves spraying but it honestly never worked. While everyone here giving positive reviews, you came into a renovated apt. We didnt. Straight trash. The best thing and only thing good about this apartment is the location, proximity of local stores. But the apartment is trash.

Currently still a resident here and to be honest you get what you pay for. The apartments are a great size and in a great location. Definitely a few downsides to living here including the lack of security (gates wont close so strangers and addicts can just come in anytime) and bugs/stray cats/overflow of trash. Previous management was a huge issue for us as they lacked a sense of urgency and communication all around, always took SO LONG to respond to maintenance requests. HOWEVER, the new management team has been absolutely fantastic, I have confidence they are going to help this place succeed! Management actually took the time to bring residents toilet paper and helpful resource information during the pandemic! Definitely wouldnt shrug this place off if looking for a place to live.

All things considered, the process was easy to understand and flowed pretty smoothly. Lack of contact due to COVID-19 hindered understanding of a few details and moving in was confusing at first. Fortunately, JR was doing some work on the AC and was nice and answered most of our questions.

Maintenance is great, fixed the problem when requested. Office staff is great and always helpful.

DO NOT MOVE INTO UNIT 232, this apartment is infested with roaches. Since living here for almost 2 years I have constantly had pest control here to spray & they have fogged 3 times. Nothing corrects the issue. If youre planning on moving here & they try to give you this unit DO NOT MOVE IN! Its literally the worst issue Ive ever encountered. Having to throw away almost all of my furniture due to this issue they will crawl into your furniture & in order to prevent the spread youll have to throw everything away! Be aware of this issue in unit 232!!! The whole building has this issue my neighbors have all talked to me & they also have this issue so it isnt just this one unit its the whole thing itself!!

Been living here about 3 months, got a renovated apartment. My apartment is really pretty and Its a small community. It borders an elementary school and has a lot of kids, but I knew that moving in and dont really mind the noise of kids playing. The only issue I have had in my apartment is german roaches. I used to live in South Phoenix and compared to that, its a night and day difference. In 3 months Ive seen maybe 20 roaches, considering this complex has been around since the 50s Im honestly impressed. The management has been super friendly and helpful with all of my concerns and is very very serious about the pest problem. Shea in particular cares more about my problems than any apartment manager Ive ever worked with, sending maintenance up the same day I request anything. Ground are well maintained, close to a lot of great food nearby and in a very good location in Phoenix. I really hope they dont change management. I would give four stars but am giving it 5 just because the reviews on here seem exaggerated and I want to balance it out. If we can get the pests under control I fully intend to renew my lease once its up, so long as they dont raise my rent unreasonably. I will update this review in a few months, but so far it feels like home. Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt.

Have lived here for 9 years the staff has been aboveboard and has always gone over the top with whatever my needs were and quite promptly too. I love it so much here with the way Ive been treated for the past nine years that I plan on moving up to a 2 bedroom apartment and continue to plan on staying here hopefully for more years to come. Love them.

Papago Crossing has been a blessing for me and my family. Every time that Ive encountered an issue, they have been responsive and very eager to help with any solutions.I would recommend this place as a great place to live if youre on a budget and want great amenities, security, and access to many other social venues in the heart of downtown Phoenix.

My wife and I have lived here for a little while and we have had no complaints. The management is very nice and understanding and helpful. When we first moved in there were a couple of minor things and we notified the management and they were fixed the next day. We haven’t had any bugs and there is a bug sprayer each week that comes by. The size is perfect and I have nothing bad to say about Papago Crossings

I’ve lived here for a year and was great!Very quiet; everyone that lives there kinda stays off to themselves. All of the apartments are remodeled and very affordable. I recommend everyone to check them out for yourself because you won’t be disappointed.

Really love how spacious our lovely apartment is. Everyone that comes over always comments that they feel like we live in a house. The staff and maintenance team are all very nice.

Roach city. The management team only manages to be more incompetent than the maintenance staff, which isnt easy to do. The security gate will never work so dont let them sell you on that. MEB Management is worse than Papago Crossing so stay away from any of their properties. Also they pay for the reviews on Apartments.com so dont buy that 4 start rating.

Bugs everywhere, mainly roaches. Was fogged twice. Had to take those days off of work because my dog couldnt be there and they couldnt do it on the weekend. Maintenance wont seek you out, if theres a problem you need to constantly bother them.Great location for where I needed to be.

I never had an issue with the staff, I thought they were friendly and someone would always respond to my emails or phone calls. In terms of the apartments, you get what you pay for. I didn’t have bug issues, but the lack of hot water was the most frustrating thing I’ve had to deal with during my 10 years on my own. Waking up and discovering you were going to have to take a cold shower before work is not the way to start your day. (#FirstWorldProblem)If you’re a young adult and like quiet, this isn’t the complex for you. There are tons of kids who treat the entire complex as their playground. They play catch, tag, ride bikes around the buildings, etc. in addition, there is a school behind the complex and the kids have their recess, gym class, and sports practice a stone throw away.The dumpsters! They are at least 2 dumpsters short for the amount of units. There was always trash overflowing onto the access road. Mess.You can’t beat the food in walking distance. If you’re hard of hearing, like cold showers, and looking to save a few pennies - check this place out today. If you’re looking for a more mature crowd, there are plenty of other places within a mile for a little extra money.

Lived here about 5 years ago from what I have read in all reviews seems that not much has changed. First few months were great. As time passed we noticed both Gates were constantly broken or “in process of being repaired”. Never had any issues with Maintenance workers, they always came out in a timely manner. However once I did complain to one of ladies in front office about crickets.... and she flat out responded that Scorpions would take care of the Cricket matter. I never seen or had scorpions in my apartment. FYI: Lived upstairs. ( I also failed to mention there were also termites in my apartment) Management never sent pest control to my apt to take care of the termite situation. I also do recall other neighbors complaining about clothes being stolen from Laundry Room. Neighbor would blast surround sound at any time of the day. Complained to Management but they really never seemed to care or assess the situation. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. Good Luck Future Tenants.

Leasing office was very straightforward with documents, move-in costs etc. cheaper than we expected- however, the condition of the actual apartment was sub-par. Nice features such as a walk-in closet, balcony, separate bathroom vanity and open floor plan, but kitchen drawers/cabinets need renovation (drawers falling out when opened, cabinet doors swinging open). No lights in main bedroom or living room. Bathroom fan and kitchen vent fan in bad shape. Great affordable apartment for anyone looking to be close to Phoenix/Tempe/Scottsdale and airport! Hoping maintenance steps up their game. UPDATE: after actually being a resident for the past 3 months so far, only minor issues with roaches but everything else above was addressed in a timely fashion. Overall content with how everything is going so far.

I rented an apartment for a short 5 months. I had no complaints other than the gates not operating. Bianca and the staff have been so nice and the apartment is in great condition. If it wasnt for the gate it would have been 5 stars.

Ive lived in apartments many many years. I am a clean person, never had bug problems before. Never had to have exterminators come out multiple times. If you gave this apt complex more than one start you must be used to living in the ghetto and need higher expectations. That is all.

Havent lived here long and havent had any major complaints but the one thing I MUST say is do NOT trust the neighborhood!! My unit is close to the parking lot so everyone needing to get to their vehicles or dumpster always walk by, not a problem. But, I recently bought my daughter a bicycle and kept in our patio. Needless to say it was stolen less than a week of having it. She was pretty upset and I furious as you can imagine. Probably nothing anyone can do about it but just to learn from this mistake and never leave valuables in your patio. People are the WORST.

Every time you bring up a concern or question and it ends up with „we will give you a call back or we forward it“ THEY NEVER FOLLOW THROUGH!!! I always had to call in twice or sometimes 3 times and start all over to get the situation handled

Place is a joke. Office staff are rude, lazy and dont care about residents. I dont get how the guy became a manager, his character shows he doesnt care. Run as far away from here as possible. Save yourself and your money. Plenty of better places around that you can rent from. And dont be fooled by the great looking office, pool or the closet sized fitness center, and the kids playground are the only things they take of, just to get you to rent. Please pull the wool from your eyes when visiting this place, they know how to manipulate you to make this sorry excuse of a residence a home. Once you move in, they will care for you for about month or two then you will be in the they could care less category after that. Gates never work, I think the maintenance men are from cracker jack boxes cuz not one of them have a clue of what their doing and have excuses for days just like the office staff. You will never see the manager until its time to rent to someone, then he will turn into Mr. Manipulator and walk around the residence with you to make the place sound like heaven to get you to rent. Please dont bother here. Just read this as a fair warning. Dont say I didnt warn ya.

Where can I begin. Roaches and Crickets everywhere. Reeks of dog poo, which is all over the property.RESIDENTS STEAL LAUNDRY. Someone took my whole load of wet clothes from the washer.Apts are old. Refrigerator leaks and stove is broken. No-one has come to fix a damn thing. If you want to live in peace this is not the place.

I have lived here for 2 years now, regrettably, with few other living options, and this place has been terrible from the start. Ive had my own car towed twice with a parking pass in the window, we are going into week 3 of little to absolutely no hot water during winter, which is not the first time weve gone through this. They allow rent to be paid as late as the 3rd but will charge you late fees even if the office is closed on the 3rd and some people surprisingly dont get paid right away due to payroll companies. There have been bug infestations, unlawful public disturbances occurring late at night for days in a row with no action from management to ensure it does not happen. Total disregard for occupants. These are very greedy people and I would not suggest ever living here. I repeat, look elsewhere. You will not enjoy living in these over priced, poorly maintained apartments. Also, it is gated for security purposes BUT the entrance and exit gates rarely work so we still get dumpster divers and crack heads roaming the parking lots. I could have had it working myself after 1 day but these work visa maintenance professionals have struggled to allow them to work for longer than 2 weeks in the last 2 years. Pathetic. Do yourself and your family a huge favor and keep driving when you see this place on the side of the road. Your welcome.

I’ve been asking for repairs since I’ve moved in, in March, and only 1 thing was fixed, there are tons of things in my apartment that need to be fixed since it wasn’t even ready to move into and maintenance hasn’t done anything. I feel like I’m constantly bothering the office but nothing is being done. It’s really sad that it takes a bad review on google for them to actually do something.

The only time they fix your issues with this place is when you leave a bad review online . Also water is always shut off. Haven’t had hot water for 3 days. Have to take cold showers sadly. Boiling my kids bath water as I write this.

Great place, close to Highways and the manager takes care of business, really quick, I recommend this Cozy apartments.

Had a cockroach issue since I moved in. My whole building has this issue & it took about 1 1/2 for something to be done for me & a lot of fighting. Neighbors keep to themselves & usually maintenance is pretty fast but nonetheless the dumpsters are always overflowing, theres a huge bug problem & the units are over priced. Going to have to throw away furniture that Ive owned for less than 2 years because of how bad the roach problem is. Trust me you do not want to deal with this just find somewhere else to live.

These apartments are horrible .... I rated this 5 stars so everyone could see it but lets be honest it not even one star apartments. You can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors do. Not to exclude the fact that if for once you try to be neighborly and ask them to quiet down they retaliate to the office who then tries to evict you.the maintenance men are super nice but honestly they either dont know what they are doing or they are completely over worked and just cant keep up . we are talking needing repairs and waiting weeks to hear from them telling the office it needs fixed putting in our emails and nothing . the roaches are awful and are bad not like some of these peoples reviews. The pest control man is the same one since i have been here yet when we complained about the roaches being so horrible they lied and told us they were working with a new company. However the same guy from the so called old company must have switched to the new company because he was here the next week spraying our place again. There have been drug addicts shooting themselves up in the park where our kids play .broken security gates ever since we have been here black mold due to plumbing issues that we reported yet never got repaired only prettied up on the outside. Tubs have been resurfaced instead of replaced 3 times and the leaking from them being cracked ruined a very old and expensive item and they still did nothing to fix it . there isnt adequate storage especially if you get a renovated apartment because they remove shelves cabinets and closets the onsite laundry facility is too expensive and dont work properly yet if you call the number to complain they tell you to report it to the office the office says call the company . there is alot of scary people working here to the point where im scared to go to the pool just this past weekend there was a domestic issue where someone punched a window out and glass was outside while we were at the pool i made my family leave yet the apartments know nothing of this because they dont have cameras near the pool either. My car got keyed no one did anything because there are no cameras. No parking spaces because they dont check to see if people have their passes. Cars getting smashed up in the parking lot cars being stolen from the parking lot yet still there are no cameras. Please i beg of you if your interested in moving here dont find someplace better for cheaper . even writting this review i fear the office will retaliate and try to evict us because they dont like when you tell the truth one complaint and they treat you differently.

As it turns out the do get century link here but since they have a deal with cox they will lie to your face and say that they dont. Other then that, everything else is just as horrible. No hot water, trash over flowing into the parking lot, A/C in the summer cannot get Apartment below 80 degrees, inside decor dates back to the 70s and getting repairs is virtually impossible. If your looking for an apartment I would not recommend. . . : (07/06/18Things are looking up here

Ive lived here almost a month and really love the actual apartment and neighborhood. The floor plan is great. Im in an upstairs 1 bdrm and havent had any issues with pests. The one major reason Im considering moving to another complex is the lack of hot water. I was worried about this upon moving in, so I only got a three month lease. I was assured by the staff that they fixed their boiler system, but it takes several minutes to get luke-warm water and I have to barely turn the water on to keep it warm in the shower. Maintenance has looked at it a few times, but the issue is not resolved. Paying a short lease premium for an apartment that doesnt have hot water is a deal breaker for me.

01/14/17Place has gone so downhill. New management company is one Ill be sure to avoid. No sign off procedure to pick up packages. Grounds are no longer taken care off. Trash everywhere. Broken lights. Dog droppings. Supposed to be a non smoking complex. Smell of pot and loud music on weekends. Buildings recently received new paint jobs (where they painted my door shut) but questionable neighbors break the walk thru gates and the drive thru gates no longer work as they should. Garbage overflowing and shopping carts are the norm now. Im thinking with the management change this place went the way of my last place. If I could post a video of my neighbors last night singing, blaring music and dropping beer bottles over the balcony I would.01/25/19New management staff again. Surprise, surprise. Made a mistake on my rent bill and pretty much blamed me. I really hate the hassle of moving but they shouldnt have aggravated one of their few on time rent payers. Its too bad. The original management staff was awesome. Ill be looking for that companys properties very soon. This place was something when I first moved here and perfect location.

Weve been here about a month, and moved to the Phoenix area unable to view the apartment due to time constraints so we made our decision based solely off $ in relation to the size of the apartment compared to other complexes in the area + reviews (which were drastically more positive than for the other complexes nearby). Were renting a 2 bedroom, 2F on the west side of the complex.Overall, our experience is mostly positive. The apt is very affordable, everyone in the office is very friendly, the maintenance crew is quick to respond, and the grounds are well maintained. The community, overall, is quiet. Youll never know anyone else is around! Also, theres a park just north of the apt to explore and the school play ground directly north of the complex is great after school hours for playing with our dog off leash.Two things that have really disappointed, though:1. THE KITCHEN. The water travels from the East side of the complex. In the kitchen we NEVER get HOT water, its warm at best. As a result, the dishwasher doesnt clean thoroughly. And in order to get WARM water, we have to run the water for 3-4 min and keep it running to maintain the temperature, this applies before running the dishwasher as well. Its such a waste. :(Our oven and the stove top dont work. Weve called the maintenance crew but despite a quick response, it isnt a constructive response.So, Id thoroughly inspect these things if they matter to you. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen so these things really affect our day to day life.2. I was excited about the Simply Better part of renting here when I first stumbled on their website. Dog park, community garden, recycling...etc. Hailing from CO these are regular aspects of the community. I was told they didnt offer these before the move but I think they should actively work to incorporate them. Recycling is pretty basic!Little things:**There are a ton of insects. The apt is really a different world in the dark. They all scatter whenever I get out of bed at night and turn on the lights. I believe they offer a spray if it becomes problematic.**If security is a huge issue -- the gates dont work consistently. Sometimes its open super late, other times its closed at 12 noon. Or maybe one part of the gate is stuck open, or stuck closed. The area, though, which was described to me as shady really isnt bad.**The traffic noise is occasionally unbearable.**Though there are grocery stores nearby, it doesnt feel like theres anywhere to eat out. That culture doesnt exist in the immediate area. Maybe its a Co thing and Im still in my adjustment period, but where are the coffee shops?? I miss those.

Avoid at all costs. Assured me multiple times I had no balance after moving out, got a collections letter a couple months later. They blame it on a new employee, and collections company just transferred me to a voicemail box. Other than that terrible experience, you can expect washing machines to be broken regularly, the payment machine in the laundry room to not work, the front office closing way before their stated closing times, sometimes taking 3+ hour long lunches, and of course the security gate never being closed so dont expect your vehicle to be safe.

This complex is a joke! They are old & run down with a slew of problems but because of the location (by the airport) they want to charge outrages prices! They are extremely money hungry and have very unprofessional office staff! Where do i began....This is the factory installed insulation for the air conditioning unit in the apartment i rented for 3 years!! I was told it cannot be changed because its so old that they do not make them anymore! I had over 20 maintenance calls/work orders for leaks in the kitchen & my apartment (#145) was flooded 3 times from the master bathroom shower and the upstairs neighbor toilet!!!!! They never changed the carpet or the padding underneath they only put a fan in the room to dry the carpet! Please do not waste your time or money with these outdated apartments unless you like the stench of irrigation water that sits for 3-4 days at the school yard located in back of the complex and attracts mosquitos by the dozens...Ewww the smell is awful and lingers for days!! Read this review and dont move here. This apartment complex doesnt deserve to still be in business. I cant even begin to explain the inconvenience of living here. If you dont mind roaches crawling on you in your sleep then step right in. Ive grown anxiety by the number of bugs and roaches I have to combat on a daily. I wish the management would do something about this as Ive heard from many tenant that they live in the walls and are impossible to rid

Worst complex ever! The M.E.B. management staff we have here does not have consideration for their tenants! The management will ignore your issues. The hot water HARDLY works. We have random power outages. Our air conditioner and heater breaks every week, and the maitence man comes days after the person working in the office says. Also, they failed to inform us that our neighbor upstairs has been living in his apartment for over 10 yrs, so theyve lacked time to replace the concrete in between our apartments. So unfortunately we hear everything the man above us is doing. And when we learned this fun little fact, we asked if we can arrange a time to switch apartments because the noise is a bit unbareable, and they said yes. BUT, wed have to add $100.00 on our monthly rent bill and also pay a $200.00 inconvience fee. Isnt that just lovely? Weve been here for about four months, and we have never regretted a decison so much! This complex looks nice and friendly, but trust me when I say it is cheaply made, not cared for and the bug infestation is a bit awful. But hey, if you like living w bugs crawling everywhere and being ignored, then Papago Crossings is the place for you! 😊😊😊😊😊😊Also, the children that play in the play area that is provided are never under parental supervision, so there is constant yelling, screaming, fighting etc. The kids never clean after themselves, so when I walk outside there is trash EVERYWHERE!!! and I mean EVERYWHERE. It is in front of my door and all over the complex and play area. The children throw their toys at my door and when asked to stop, they dont.If youre looking for a great, and comfy place to live, do not choose this as an option.
