Michelle at the leasing office and her coworkers are 100% amazing at their jobs. A different resident posted on the community bulletin board and within minutes Michelle called to check in. This is a great community to be part of!
I’ve lived here for about six months now and I am really appreciative and grateful to the Roosevelt Square staff and maintenance team for being kind, attentive and swift in any of the requests made. Keep up the good work!
After a string of catalytic converter thefts in the apartment garages and around the complex. The office team rather than increasing security or installing security cameras sent out a release reminding renters how to protect themselves from unfortunate events. Forgetting that their security garages and complex are supposed to be safe. Instead they sent out a mass email on how the renter has forgotten how to protect themselves. What are our legislatures, mayor, and complexes going to do to ensure our safety when they only increase the rent? Why would anyone want to enter into an agreement when they can’t guarantee safety. I’ll end with a quote from the email from the property manager “no assaults have been reported” clearly they are waiting until one of their renters has been attacked or worse. Berkshire do better.
Roosevelt Square Apartments is the place to be! The location is fantastic, super dog friendly, amazing apartments & amenities. The leasing ladies and maintenance men are the best of the best. A big shout out to Shelly & Jordan in the leasing office! They are truly amazing humans who make you feel at home. Lease here and you will be one happy person!!!
I am a resident of four years with Roosevelt Square and unfortunately I do not recommend this complex. The location is unbeatable, great amenities and amazing local businesses at your doorstep. However, the leasing office’s current staff is ill-equipped to handle any issues that arise and do not communicate with tenants on a professional level.Parking here is an absolute nightmare. The leasing office has a toxic partnership with a towing company named “AZ All City Towing” and it tows its own residents at the expense of their residents. Neither company takes responsibility and the fees are astronomical to say the least, let alone a waste of time. For the price we, as tenants, are charged monthly, the least we could be provided with is a secure parking area. And quite frankly, the leasing office could strive if it bothered to offer their residents a standard level of customer service and effective problem solving solutions.
Lived here for 13 months and I loved it. There’s a lot of new places in the area, but it’s hard to beat the vibe and location of Roosevelt Square. It doesn’t even feel like you’re in the desert, the way the property is laid out and landscaped it feels like you’re in Manhattan when you step out of the building.
Ive lived at Roosevelt Square for about 2 and a half years now and I love it! Its super easy to have a maintenance request fulfilled, the neighborhood is great, and the leasing office is so friendly! My Frenchie has to run in every day to see them! Hes so sad when they are not open. Our parking is located in a gated area of the garage and its really nice that we all get a spot without being charged extra for it. Most communities charge at least $100 for each parking spot. Ill be renewing my lease again. Also- I think they handled the COVID-19 situation the best they could. I highly recommend living here.
Location! Location! Location! Right on Roosevelt Row but not where all the noise and crowds are, just within a short walking distance. Light rail is just across the street. The Suns and Diamondbacks are a stroll away. If you love city art, then welcome home!
If I could give 0 stars I would. I had an appointment at 9, walked in and no one working was wearing a mask. They then proceeded to barely greet me and type on their computers in silence for several minutes before they could be bothered to put on masks and ask for my ID. My ID is expired but I have a receipt of renewal and am waiting on it in the mail, this has been acceptable to a dozen other places I have toured this week as well as buying alcohol, when I explained that they just said its policy, horrible service, no wonder its the only place in downtown with availability.if management sees this you should definitely look at your front office, I would never want to live here after that interaction anyways.
I was a resident here for 3 years .. RS is greatly missed!— There are so many reasons this is the place you want to be while living in the downtown of Phoenix . This community is the heart of the city . Great location, the different floor plans to choose from are like no other, and of course the staff is all so friendly and welcoming . I highly recommend this be your first stop when looking for your home in Phoenix !
I have lived at Roosevelt Square since 2013 (moved from Paradise Valley via Arkansas and Chicago). I am so extremely happy with this complex, I cannot say enough. They have gone WAY above and beyond for me over the past year. Also the new remodeling projects theyve invested in have made me love to call this home. The following is a letter I wrote to the assistant manager of the complex who has been here for like ... I think ... seven years (?) and counting.***Hey Daishia ...Just need to voice my opinion about things because I felt something should be said ...EVERYTHING about this apartment complex in the last 9-12 months has been SO MUCH BETTER! I wanted to thank you and your staff for everything. The maintenance guys (esp. Chris on several occasions) and maid staff has been TOP NOTCH as far as the grounds, hallways, dumpster, etc. The leasing agents have always been great too, and unlike it has been in the past, they are RIGHT ON TOP OF IT with the packages. I always know it is a quick streamlined process; in the past it was a hassle and often had packages missing. I know I get a lot of packages! Like DAILY lol.I am so appreciative of all the thankless work they do in the office. I do miss a couple of staff members who are no longer with us like James and Ashley and Erik. BUT ... the replacements have been GREAT. I just wanted to say it has been a pleasure to live here lately, and despite all the new buildings and complexes opening up all around, I dont want to leave Roosevelt Square. I know that a lot of this is because of your management of the complex and I really love that you have chosen to stick around. Please forward this to your superior and the corporate office. Thanks!
What is not to recommend about Roosevelt Square?! The office is fantastic--professional, responsive, helpful, and kind. The apartments and amenities are great--well kept, safe, and provide everything you could want (pool, gym, rooftop patio, package room, bike storage, covered parking, pet friendly, etc.). Maintenance is on-point--prompt, friendly, and effective. The tenant community is friendly. And the location absolutely cannot be beat! And all that for a price-point you wont find anywhere else. Ive loved it here so much, I even recruited a friend. Now she loves it too! In short, its been a gem for downtown living!
I have just moved in to Roosevelt Square and I know I have found a home within downtown Phoenix! From the moment I walked into the front office for a tour the management team was wonderful. Mechelle is the one who helped me and was wonderful with touring all the buildings to help me find the right fit. She found me my perfect apartments and made sure everything was up to my needs! The community is beautiful and the move in went very smoothly thanks to the team at Roosevelt Square. This is in the perfect spot downtown and everyone who lives here feels like a community. If you are considering moving downtown I highly recommend Roosevelt Square.
So I worked here for a few years and there are some aspects of it that are a little older than anyone would like to admit but other than that its a decent place to live it has Im pretty awesome amenities including the pool and the lounge in one of the buildings the less you see the city from the fourth floor and there is comfortable seating out there they repainted a few years ago when I still worked there the parking garages are kept very clean and even though it is an open style property the parking garages as well as the buildings themselves Ill have Gates that you have to use a key fob to get into and they have security every night as well as cameras everywhere so that if anything does happen they can see when and where and how and all that stuff I think no matter where and they have in one of the buildings restaurants on the first floor that serve really awesome food and there are 2 fountains in one of the buildings and they have nice sitting areas and places that you can hang out theres lots of trees and and its actually pretty cool in the summer they even have a little pretty little thing with a little mister system on it and a gas BBQ that you just have to turn on a couple switches and youre good to go they have bicycle storage rooms in two of the and if youre thinking about garbage dont worry you can drop your garbage straight down a trash chute conveniently located on every floor so theres always one pretty close there are elevators in every building as well as stairs and the pool is always kept beautiful its not heated and theres no hot tub but the pool always looks great and theyre in the summer is awesome to swim in of course on all this property is very nice property a lot of the units are very spacious and a lot of them are very unique the knot just a big square that you live in some of them are but some of them are not if youre looking for a unique style apartment you should totally check out building a or any of the apartments on the 4th floor those are by far my favorite they even have something to have Lofts and like little spiral staircases and some that are just really oddly shaped but they used all the room they had to use and in a lot of cases it turned out really nice I do know that they are a little pricey I dont know the exact amount it has been a few years since I work there but even though I work there I have nothing all that bad to say about the place I enjoyed my time working there my coworkers were usually pretty awesome Im sure that theyve all been either fired or they quit by now just because the high turnover rate in that business but if youre looking for an apartment thats unique and located right in the middle of all the action right next to the light rail and right in the middle of downtown Phoenix where there are many many many unique and amazing restaurants and he can just go walking and enjoy an awesome Park right in front of the apartment complex or you can walk a little bit further North and end up right on another Park that is right next to the Phoenix Library or you can go south one block and run right into Roosevelt Street where they do the first Friday every first Friday of the month and its very artsy around that area so I hope this helps someone and I definitely suggest if youre looking to live in downtown Phoenix you should totally check this place out thank you
Do yourself a favor and find another complex.
I’ve been here for three months now and it’s been a really nice experience. The place seems well built, I never hear anything through the walls. Leasing staff is nice and everything is paperless which is convenient. They’ve always responded to me quickly. Neighbors are friendly. If you want downtown living I think it’s a great spot.
I have lived at Roosevelt Square for 7 months and I’ve always had a great experience; however, a few days ago, I had an issue and Travis and Bob both went above and beyond for me! I was truly amazed at their help and can genuinely say that if you live here, the staff WILL do their best to help you in all ways possible! Thanks guys!
Aside from the community itself, which is beautiful and everything one would expect from downtown, the leasing staff - especially Mechelle and JT - went above and beyond for me during a recent lease transfer. Nothing is easy during Covid, particularly not a legal agreement involving 3 separate parties, but they were able to help me get it done. Thanks so much!
Everything is dead downtown and my car was broken into. It feels pretty unsafe at night in this area.
Shockingly unprofessional leasing staff. Did a virtual tour - was told we needed to immediately apply with an immediate move in date to even be considered. Then took days of back and forth calling to even get our application processed. Finally received an approval letter by email, only to be told the next we were denied by phone (and get a different letter later the second evening). Their Cox setup person wouldn’t stop calling to see when we wanted to start services. When I called the leasing agent, JT, to ask questions about the conflicting information - he was hostile, judgmental and straight up refused to put me in touch with the manager who made the decision change. The whole process was sketchy and felt so discriminatory. We only considered this place because of a current tenant referral and now will make sure to make it widely known how we were treated.
Living in an apartment community is not without its quirks. Being in such close proximity to your neighbors, we are bound to run into an issue every once in a while. That being said, where an apartment community really shines is in its ability to resolve these issues in an effective and prompt manner.Since moving here I have had two noise issues. One when I first moved in with a previous neighbor, and one beginning a few days ago. I have made friends with other neighbors in the building, and it seems this frequency is just a fluke, and not a representation of the building as a whole. My first experience with this building was under the previous previous managment team members. While my experience was not terrible, it did bring to mind the stereotypical lackluster landlord involvement one might expect. The situation went on for weeks. I was constantly having to call with only marginal follow up. Ultimately, the neighbors moved out and the matter was closed. My experience in resolving second and most recent incident was significantly different. The managment team has gone through some new changes. I spoke with JT, who is new. Not only did JT get back to me promptly the same day (on a weekend), he went above and beyond to resolve the matter in an effective and honestly impressive way. The noise is currently no longer an issue. He followed up with me multiple times to check if it was continuing, and offered clear and detailed options for me if it happened again. In summary: My expectations were exceeded by JT and the impressive new managment, I feel heard by the complex, the situation was resolved promptly, and I am much happier living here because of it.
I have lived here for the past 8 years. I really like living here. Hence why I still call this complex home after so many years. Each year I have thought about going to a newer complex and each year I decide to just stay put. You get a nice home for a much better price. Everyone that moves in here are so nice. So friendly in fact that I have made lifelong friends in the time I have been here. We all watch out for each other and I have felt a real sense of community which is what I was looking for. I feel very safe here with the gated garages and gated entrances. My experience with the staff has always been pleasant as well. They try their best to help make things as smooth as they can. And if you move into the C bldg. facing west like did in 303c, your views are breath taking, especially during the Monsoon.
I lived at Roosevelt Square from summer 2018 to summer of 2019. My experience was incredible. Roosevelt Square has an awesome and welcoming staff. They are always there to help or answer questions. The location is unique in that it you are the walking distance from both Margaret Hance Park and all of the bars, restaurants, and events that downtown Phoenix has to offer. The gym is well equipped and the pool is a great to place to kick back. All of the hallways and amenities are regularly cleaned and maintained. The package delivery system is extremely efficient for you amazon lovers like me. Parking is secure and there is plenty of parking on the street for guests. The overall feel of the place is a nice and unique balance of comfort and city-life. 10/10 highly recommend!
This place is great! Ive lived here for over four years and have had a great experience. Maintenance is quick to answer concerns. The office staff is very friendly and takes care of you! The prices are also very competitive.
Teresa in the leasing office is so wonderful! I needed to move, but the dates kept changing, and every time she was got back to me right away with options for the next window. She really went above and beyond to make sure that my pups and I had the perfect spot. I knew I was making the right choice ( though she gave me several, several times), when Teresa said This is a great apt, youll love the space and the light, and it has a big enclosed patios for your four-legged friends and so it is, and so we are. This is the best spot in downtown phoenix and all of the staff is helpful and kind. If youre looking for a great property with a fantastic leasing office: call Roosevelt Square, and ask for Teresa
The property itself is very cool. Definitely double check and ask for application criteria because it’s run by a third party vendor. The staff is very, very nice, but communication/authority seems to be lacking a bit. Overall, for the type of apartment, it’s worth the value.
So first off, a lot of new apartment complex are popping up around the area so of course that drives the prices of surrounding complexes up, but when I first moved in I was quoted $400 less a month here for a 1 bedroom than another complex down the road quoted me for a studio 🙄. Yes these apartments are not brand new, but the location is prime. Teresa and the whole staff are fantastic and go out of their ways to help out. I’m glad I signed on for my 2nd year, I definitely recommend if you want a great place to live downtown Phoenix and have enough money to have fun on the weekends!
This place has really good management. They have handled every small maintenance request within a day, and they also schedule larger jobs promptly. The resident only parking garages never fill. Occasionally there is visitor parking on the ground level, which is also nice. Pool and gym are great. been here for close to 7 months, and I would like to stay for many more.
I have been living at Roosevelt Square Apts for a year now. This has been by far the best experience of what Phoenix has to offer. Roosevelt Square is by far the best location... Community motivated.. If you are a Music, Foodie and A lover of the arts this is where you want to be..Light Rail Access and walking distance to most venues..Totally recommend this place to anyone who wants to pay a great price and be in the best location of the Arts district!
Several staff members are conscientious. Unfortunately, poor communications among them led to an unnecessary extension of our lease and wasted expenses.
I have had an excellent experience living at Roosevelt Square for the past two years. The staff is flexible and understanding, and there is a wonderful community among residents. It is affordable and has a fantastic location. I would highly recommend living at RS!
I lived at Roosevelt Square for two years and had a great stay. When I moved out of the state, I checked my portal for any cleaning charges. None ever appeared. I moved out in June and when September came around and still none had appeared, I assumed they had just written it off. Later in September, I received a letter indicating they had sent a debt collector for a cleaning charge. This apartment has always had my email and never communicated with me at all about this situation. Now Im left worrying about my credit score for an amount that I would have been happy to pay if it ever appeared in my portal. It is a really horrible way to treat a good resident of two years.
Ive lived here the past few years and I have no complaints at all. Repairs are taken care of in a timely manner, the landscaping is kept up and the staff goes above and beyond to keep the residents happy. Temporary guest parking passes would be cool for roof level A building parking structure only, but other than that, keep up the good work!
It was a big move for me and the process was simple, understandable and seamless. Teresa was professional and knowledgeable about the property and was able to get me into my new home without much hassle. If you have questions, I highly recommend Teresa as the agent you work with. She is also very friendly, honest and genuine!
I ❤️ living at Roosevelt Square! The location is great, the grounds are clean and inviting, and I enjoy the friendliness of the girls in the front office. Teresa and Kim are wonderful!
Overall amazing apartment complex. Hallways and sidewalks are always clean. Great location - close to the parks and restaurants. The staff is always professional, helpful, and friendly.
My experience at Roosevelt Square has been incredible. I was always attended to when I needed assistance and always had my questions addressed. Michelle was always helpful and was willing to go the extra mile to help out. Great place to live
From day one, Teresa assisted us every step of the way from before we signed a lease to after we moved in. She made is feel very welcome to the community and took the time to make sure our apartment was ready and in good condition before we moved in. She is a great asset to the community! As for the complex, Roosevelt Square is in an amazing location...close to the light rail and downtown. Portland Park is right next to the complex which is great if you have dogs. This place is in high demand, so always be on the lookout for any openings.
I did a tour with Mechelle. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the complex. Its a beautiful place, privacy and security were high on my list and Im happy to say this place meets it all. The apartments are beautiful and in a very convenient location. I definitely recommend this place to anyone! Right next to the Lightrail for easy access anywhere downtown. No need to waste money on gas when you live here! Thank you Mechelle!
From the first tour of the property to my last few weeks living here, I truly enjoyed Roosevelt Square. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and the maintenance team very prompt every time I had an issue. The area is absolutely gorgeous. The homeless like to hang in the area sometimes which is the only issue I had, but I guess thats just a part of downtown living. The staff let the residents know well ahead of time if there were going to be any water shutoffs or anything thatd affect us, which was appreciated. All in all, a great experience living here and Ill definitely miss the beauty of this location.
This whole neighborhood and apartment complex community is exceptional. The staff is conscientious and efficient. Both front office and maintenance enhance my living experience at these apartments.
I have lived at Roosevelt Square for over 7 years and have never wanted to move anywhere else. Teresa & Vanessa in the office are so nice and accommodating and the maintenance staff works hard to keep the property clean and operable. Management is hit or miss, but overall living at Roosevelt has been a positive experience.
The location cant be beat and the staff and maintenance are awesome. My dog loves getting a treat at the front office which is super nice! Love living here!
Extremely unprofessional staff and the community is run down. They will do anything to take your money.I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.
I’ve lived here for two years and I have a lot of good things to say about it. The location is very convenient and the rent is better than any other you’ll get in downtown Phoenix. The buildings are beautiful, and I love how close it is to the Hance park and some really good Mexican food. The maintenance staff is friendly, quick, and do very good work, and the office staff is better than any I’ve talked with before. Vanessa in particular took a lot of time to work with an awkward moving situation I had and really made the process easy. That said, everyone in the front office has treated me with respect and is always very quick to help out.I’d recommend Roosevelt to anybody who wants to live in downtown Phoenix and cares about a safe location at a reasonable price. You probably won’t find a better complex.
Need to increase rents! With the prices downtown currently, these places could be another $500-$750/mo with no problem at all... they should raise the rents and put a LOT of money into fixing all of the problems with the property... I have too many friends that live there and they all make good money, and theyd be willing to pay more money if they got more for the rent they paid...
Lived here over a year now and love it. Great location, awesome coffee shops, right on the train stop. There seems to be a LOT of negativity in the reviews for some reason. I can tell you firsthand that its all BS, in my opinion. Dont take my word for it, though, just realize that a few years ago the property was acquired by Berkshire Hathaway. If you think Warren Buffet is going to put his brand on a failing enterprise, well, then you havent been paying attention to life. I would resign my lease if I werent moving out of state.A few things to keep in mind that I believe must be throwing most reviewers off.. the downtown ASU campus has been a boon for the city but I think it may bring the question into mind as to whether some of the negative reviews are college kids that dont understand city life. Yes, there will be some homeless people around and most cities tend to have their pockets of dirt and grime. However, I have never seen a rat on the property, a dirty area in the Roosevelt Square community, or even a bug in my apartment. Just take everything with a grain of salt when reading reviews and visit the property for your self.Hope this helps..
The staff are incredible, always puts me in a great mood. Maintenance is also great, they fix everything within the 24 hours of a request. Havent had any bad things to say about this place since we moved in!
Good apartment for a reasonable price in the downtown area.Vanessa and Teresa do a great job given the noticeable workload they are tasked with. They are both kind, courteous and helpful whenever I stop in. They help make this an enjoyable community to live in.
This was an amazing place to live after first moving to Phoenix and wish I couldve stayed. Im from Washington state and let Lori in the office know that I couldnt handle cockroaches. She assured me I wouldnt have an issue and she was right! These apartments are clean, comfortable and the staff were always incredibly nice, even if I just popped in for coffee and were always helpful if there was anything I needed. The location is amazing! A two minute walk to the lightrail, fiftteen minute walk to downtown. I didnt need my car unless I had to go grocery shopping. Parking is an issue, which, given the location cant be helped, but they have secure garages and I didnt experience any issues in terms of someone hitting or otherwise damaging my vehicle. I got my secuirty deposit back minus a few minor repairs which I think is fair, so no complaints from me in that regard. All in all, this apartment was home, I loved it and hated that I needed to leave. Unfortunately, it was a bit pricey for me being by myself, but it was money well spent imo; Clean, comfy, peaceful, really nice neighbors and in a central location. If youre looking for a place in a great location and you can swing it (or find a roommate that hopefully wont get your nerves too much), Id highly recommend living here.
We have lived here for a year now and just renewed our lease! For the price, you really cant get better than this. Everywhere else in the downtown area charges a lot more, and the service and amenities here are great. From the pool and workout center, to the maintenance team responding the same day to any requests, and just the close walking proximity to ASU Downtown and all the great restaurants and bars, I am happy to call this place home.Plus, having a dog in a city can be tough... but it is great at Roosevelt Square. A ton of residents have pets, there is plenty of grass, and the dog park is just a few steps away!
The location is great for sure, but the management of this facility is the worst. Why? I will explain my experience staying here this year, after which I am currently planning to move out once my 1-year lease is done.1) water is shut off a LOT here. Yes, they pay for water, but at the cost of having it shut off at inconvenient times.2) its summer time and my AC has stopped working so many times I dont bother (or dont have time) to see the front desk to submit a ticket to fix anymore. The office closes at 6pm sharp, so if I miss the office I will have to wait for them to re-open the next morning at 9am to submit a ticket to fix. I leave for work and get back home before and after those times.3) I have a girlfriend and she literally cant visit me without me opening the parking garage for her and letting her in through the gates. Im not allowed extra set of keys for her to visit me (even though they allowed this a few months ago). A scenario of her showing up before me, and hanging out in my place to wait for me to get home, is no way an option. Also, having her stay overnight is nearly impossible, as the complex states that if the car isnt registered with the complex, they could still tow. So my guests arent hardly here to chill because its inconvenient for them all around. This is highly inconvenient.4) The front desk is just rude. Ive been yelled at, lied to, and even threatened, by the staff. The threat was to reserve my mail if I cause any more complaints or problems regarding how the front desk wont leave my mail in front of my door for times Im not at home.5) The gates are very often broken, or always open, causing entry/exit issues for the complex.6) The pool this summer hasnt been maintained very well. Usually the cleaner comes only after there are a lot of complaints on the online forum we have. My room is by the pool and a couple weeks ago it was gray.7) I had my license plate tags expire and the complex threatened to tow my car in a few days. This is because they have a partnership with a tow company and looking for any reason to tow cars.8) Phone reception rarely works in certain spots in my studio room. The general vibe here is that the complex just doesnt care about you. Note, there are a few cool people in the front desk (Daishia being one of them, Adara was the other one but she left), but everyone else is terrible. Ill be moving. Sorry Roosevelt Square, you treated me too bad to not leave this note, and I hardly leave these kinds of things. Im a business owner and very busy, and dealing with this place was just too much to handle.
Currently live here. I was very fond of the previous management, but now you have to jump through hoops and ridiculous fees to live here under the new management. Complaints are not taken seriously, which is disheartening coming from someone who follows all parts of the lease agreement. Walls are very thin, and parking is a nightmare. I will not be living here when my lease is up, and neither should you. Don’t be fooled by how “nice” it looks on the outside. They only care about making money.
Great location, friendly front office staff, and great repair staff. End of the positives on this list.During the nine months I have lived here, I have experienced:1) a month where the fire alarms went off two or three times each week in the middle of the night;2) a pipe in the ceiling above the bathtub that constantly drips water during the summer (from the A/C), and which staff will not fix besides trying to keep the water low on rust;3) one gate to the outside was unlocked for several months;4) the gate system did not support calling for 8 out of 9 months, requiring me to get visitors from the gates myself; and5) frequent unfixed issues with fountains that help hide the noise from the garage gate I live near.In addition, the quality of the apartments is much lower than they say.At Roosevelt Square, you are paying for the location and very little else. Apartment quality and concern about residents from the management is quite low.
Teresa was wonderful! She showed me around the community and had such a great attitude.
NOTICE BEFORE APPLYINGRoosevelt Square management represents that Berkshire Communities changed its application requirements for Roosevelt Square.Berkshire Communities contracts with Yardi to conduct its application screenings. Roosevelt Square management purports it does not have access to the screening information or have the authority to make discretionary decisions regarding the screening results.Request a written copy Berkshire Communities qualification standards before applying. Application fees are non-refundable and Roosevelt Square management will not continue holding an apartment in the event of a screening dispute.
Today, property management gave us 15 hours of notice to have our cars moved out of the parking lot so they could re-stripe. If our cars are still there, we will be towed at our own expense. Im not even sure what happens to the unfortunate people who are on vacation. Ive never lived in apartments, like Roosevelt Square, where property management genuinely seem to dislike their own residents. And dont fall for their transparent sorry for your experience, please come see us messages. What assistance are you going to give to your residents after you already did this to them? Pretending youre concerned after purposefully screwing your residents somehow just makes it worse.
This place has a great location, and that is about it. There is not a week that goes by where I do not have to submit a service request for something I have already submitted, and the place constantly has something broken in it, no matter how much you take care of it. It is dirty, small, and outdated, and not worth the hefty price tag. The office staff will often ignore you when you walk in, and you will not know you have a package there for days. Sylvia in particular is a horrible person to work with in the office, as she will just walk away from conversations if she does not agree.
I did not rent here after dealing with the office staff. If I could give any advice to future applicants, do not put yourself through the frustration that is their office. They are extremely disorganized and not helpful. I was unable to reach them after calling 6 times and leaving 4 voice mails. I even showed up during normal business hours and they were nowhere to be found. IF YOU WANT AN OFFICE THAT CARES AND IS HELPFUL THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU!
I lived here for just under 2 years. Its a great location and the maintenance guy is amazing. 5 stars for each of those elements! My 1 star is related to the leasing office workers and the policies of the Berkshire Communities Company. I would say the leasing office operates at an amateur level at best. The people working in the office have no autonomy to trust or show understanding to individual situations that might not align perfectly with their corporate policies. They are extremely inefficient and often said they would do things like send documents or emails that were never sent only to follow up later asking why I never sent them the signed versions. If you do move in just be aware that if they say they will do something it does not necessarily mean that they will follow through or if one office worker gives you some info that the next will agree that the said info was accurate.
Great price and quality for downtown, especially for dog lovers because theres lots of grass and its near the park. The staff is super friendly and knowledgable.
If you want you bike to be stolen, rent here. In February of 2014, management informed residents that many bikes had been stolen from its locked bike rooms. In December of 2014, many more bikes were stolen from another locked bike room with the locks torched off. Management did nothing to prevent this from happening a second time and now many people in this complex are without their bikes. they also have not offered to replace the bikes.
I lived here for a year and found that there were some things I really liked and some things that were really bad. Hard to find an in between because the same issues kept coming up and the things that were good stayed good. The good thing is that the staff is great. Maintenance did a great job and the front desk was allways helpful and supportive. This is also a great location if your a sports fan. Loved going to the suns game. The food in the location was great. Drinks are pricey but I didnt go bar hopping that much. The apartment room we had was nice, but had outdated appliances. We had to restart the dryer multiple times to get the cloths dry. Its also a great location if you love dogs. The gym was nice, tho I didnt use it as much as I thought i would. Now to the bad things. The pool is not heated. Dangerous location. Too many homeless people. Parking is hard to find. People will bring there friends and family thru the parking garages leaving no where to park. They charge for front door trash removal but I allways just took the trash to the dumpster. Cockroaches everywhere. They charge for a bug guy but Ive seen no results. Had to buy cockroach killer and that worked. The fire alarm is allways going off. Elevators allways being repaired. The rent is way too high, cant believe they just raised it, it should be lowered down. If you can get over these issues then it will be an okay experience.
If I could give this rat infested and trash covered hellhole which is run by complete ass holes zero stars, I would. I fell in love with the neighborhood and during the tour, but live here a month and you will see what a disaster Roosevelt Square is. If only perspective tenants could access the tenant forum before signing a lease, no one would ever sign a lease after reading the complaints from actual tenants.
Do not sign a lease here. They have a rat infestation. I am afraid to take out my garbage because I dont want to be attacked. There is an internal blog for residents and many in Building B state they can hear the rats in the walls. The kitchen is very outdated, appliances break regularly and while not the leasing offices fault some residents dont know pet etiquette and many of the entrances smell badly of urine.Front office is very friendly and helpful until you move in and then they have you and dont care about any service. The only good thing about this place is the location. However I cant wait to move out!!!!
I lived here for a little over 2 years before reaching my absolute breaking point. Although the location is great, the property is poorly managed and the staff are rude and inconsiderate. The gates are either broken, letting everyone in, or broken and not even the FOB will open it. The fitness center doors once malfunctioned, locking people in! Which means, we could only use the fitness center during the office hours. The tenants are treated as a commodity; the general vibe is, if you dont like it, move out - we can always replace you. For the rent theyre charging, you can get a bigger place in a better location, with staff who genuinely care about the tenants, and amenities you can actually use! Have some self respect, and do not put yourself through this torture.
Love the location, office staff and my one bedroom apartment :)
Discriminate against medical commidations for prop 203, definitely would not recommend. Not worth the price for the value you get, stay away.
So happy that we chose this community!
Dont judge a book by its cover. Just because the buildings are being painted to look all shiny and new, it does not reflect what it is to live in this community.Rat infestation in Bldg B & C. The management will blame the new construction that started in May 15 but this has been a known issue since Oct 14 in Bldg C. After they were reported to city & county agencies they began working on the problem but it is so bad it is going to take a very long time to eradicate.Pets relieve themselves (pee & poop) on the elevators, in the hallways and at the corners of every entry way. The poop is typically cleaned up by tenants who have it at their door or get tired of looking at it and the urine is NEVER cleaned up. Also, many tenants do not pick up after their pets in the grassy area everyone uses for walking their dogs and youll find yourself constantly stepping in poop. Any complaints will get a we rely on the residents to tell us who is doing it - if we knew that, that is the information we would be sharing - and, its not the residents responsibility to find the irresponsible tenants. This community is very dirty & grimy. It is in desperate need of an overall power washing of all walk ways, painting of interior hallways and cleaning of all interior hallways, stairs, rails and elevators.Dont be misled by the gated community, you sign in your lease that you acknowledge the gates are solely for the benefit of the property and any benefit to the resident is purely incidental and there are always gates that are open or malfunctioning.Dont be misled by the package acceptance service. Again, when you sign your lease, you release the office of all liability for any lost, stolen or misplaced packages - and, yes, it does happen and you have no recourse for replacement. An updated unit has newer kitchen & bath lighting and plumbing fixtures, new ceiling fans and faux wood flooring in kitchen, bath & entryway - BUT, you will still have 15 yrs old appliances, formica countertops and laminate cabinets. Bldg A does have concrete floors. The lobby is recently updated and the property tour will take you by all the areas that are kept up. Ask to see the sky patio in Bldg C and the fountain areas in Bldg C and pay attention to the cleanliness (or lack of) as youre walking. The outside of each building is public sidewalks, I suggest you walk the property and see for yourself - look closely at each entry way, go up the steps to the gate - walk the grassy areas to the north if you have a dog - look at the gravel areas and sidewalks for dog urine & waste - walk through the unsecured part of the parking garages. Also, you will have additional charges not stated on your lease. The tenants pay $3.50/mo for pest control and $25/mo for trash service which will put your monthly waste, water, trash bill at $50+/mo - this is in addition to your rent and electric (thru APS). The cost of this trash service helps generates revenue to the property by giving a kickback to the property. As a gauge, any other complex Ive lived in, the trash portion of my utilities is ~$5.Overall, poor property management, overpriced for dated units and unkept property - very unimpressed with this community...
They had my car towed without my permission and it cost me $117
I forgot my car I 2 hour parking, they had it towed even though Im a resident here. they have my number, they could have called me for as much money as I pay them every month.

This place is a great place to relax, be able to take great photos, and reorganize your next stop before. You have easy access to restaurants, shops, and public transportation. Here is the best hiking trip. I drove to a one-off trip in this area many times. Take the subway for about $1.25 and dont worry about parking and traffic at all.
