Roach and scorpion infestations. Can never find parking

I have been here about 4 months now. I moved from the Biltmore Corridorto cut down my work commute into the Goodyear/Buckeye area. I was a bit cautious when looking in Maryvale. This is actually nicer, newer, and safer than my former complex!I am happy with my 2 bedroom apartment and the apartment community in general.It is clean and well kept. My neighbors are friendly and its quiet. Scott the maintenance guy rocks! Anytime I have had an request or challenge he has fixed it quickly and within 24 hours. Staff in the office appears nice, although I dont have a lot of contact with them. I pay my rent online and call when something is needed. The two challenges I have is the parking and the monthly water-trash bill. When I have friends over, they either have to search for a parking space or I have to lend my covered space and find a vacant uncovered one to park in temporarily until my guests leave. Its definitely more challenging on the weekends. There are not enough spaces for guests or residents. The other is the cost and calculation of the water bill. Your water cost is per building, not individual unit. So even if you are conservative on your water usage and say your neighbors use more water than you do, youll end up paying for the extra water usage of the entire building. This was not detailed when initially applying, and while not sizeable it can run up the total cost of the apartment each month by $60.00 or more. That being said this is a good, safe, and (mostly) inexpensive place to call home. Thank you Desert Point!

I moved out not so long ago and this was the most comfortable place I have lived in. I was there for 3 years and never had any problems. Maintenance fixed all of my work orders within the 48hrs they promise you. The girls in the office are so sweet and always so helpful. The manager always takes residents into consideration and is so helpful. Move out process was so quick and easy I got my deposit back with no problems! Overall the whole management that runs this place made everything so easy for us! If I could rate it more than five stars I would!

I have been at this apartment complex for a week and already I am regretting my decision. There are dirty cats everywhere. Trash everywhere. Im working from home but when I moved into my unit I was the only one in my building unable to get WIFI due to the previous tenant having WIFI and never disconnecting it. Ive spoken with the front office, they basically said that it was out of their hands and then gave me a number to Erica from CenturyLink, she never helped me out. Century link keeps telling me that I would have to reach out to the leasing office but they are NO HELP. They clearly dont care about my issues.They dont call you back when they say they will, they dont respond to emails, and the Manager is not always in office. I already cannot wait until my lease is up.

Recently I moved in. My experience with Manager was smooth and very professional and helpful. she went above and beyond to ensure my moving experience was very easy and quick.

Desert point is very welcoming. I currently live here and have no complaints nor had any problems. Plus the girls in the office are very nice, helpful and understanding.

Horrible serivce front desk lady that is overweight and lives in the same apartments uses handicap spot at her leisure. Many residents are signing a petiotion to get better staff. DO NOT MOVE HERE THEY ROACHES AND TERMINATE. MANAGER DOES NOT CARE HOW HER EMPLOYEES TREAT THEIR RESIDENTS

Parking Problems

Avoid this place at all costs.ROACHES. Lots of roaches. Report them to the office and the exterminator comes takes out the silverware drawer spray something and leaves. I’ve talked to my neighbors we all have them. I’m disgusted in my own living space.MAIL COMES UP MISSING! The postman leaves bright colored notes in your mailbox when you have a package left in the office. THREE TIMES I have gotten the note and the office has nothing for me. The first was a Christmas gift for my daughter. Luckily amazon refunded it. The second time was a Kylie Cosmetics Box that states delivered to front office on shipping info, no refund and just a chuckle from the office. This time it’s Apple Air pods that my dad sent me for my birthday!!!!PARKING... oh wait there is none. You’ll get one spot that probably half a block away. And plan on never having a guest bc there will absolutely be no parking spot for them after 5pm.WATER... Your tiny apartment is going to cost you an extra $60 for water bc you pay an average on what everyone else uses. Some of these people have 4+ kids living in 1 bedroom taking showers everyday, while you may just live alone. Hot water heater stopped working 4 times in two weeks. Takes them two days to fix it each time. Hello cold showers.

Been living here for the past 4 years and never had an issue, the complex is well taken care of and they have a really good customer service, management is always so helpful.👍🏻

I would like to know whos brilliant idea it was to tell the residents that 50% of the already really sparse parking in the complex would be blocked off for construction with only about 4 hours to plan for the inconvenience. I almost got blocked in while just trying to get my dog and leave this evening. Very very inconsiderate of you considering I am always seeing people get towed for parking in unapproved parking spaces because of the lack of parking when there is no construction.Also, if your afraid of bugs, dont walk with a flashlight at night unless you wanna see the ground move with roaches the size of the your fingers.I would only recommend this complex if you need motivation to do better or are the kind of person that does nothing but smoke weed all day because thats all you will be able to smell on weekends.

No a/c or internet for the first month. Then, no working stove or wasber/dryer. Horrible way to run an apartment complex. What is wrong with these people. I am going to contact the local news.

Ive lived here for two years and just renewed my lease. I love it here!

They have a MAJOR PROBLEM with scorpions, roaches, black widows and a different brown spider that come at different seasons so you never know what you’ll come home to. Yes, they’ve come and “exterminated” aka pouring white powder on either side of my front door. I constantly find scorpions so I ended up buying a black light to kind of soothe my mind. The walls are paper thin. There’s not enough storage. Actually there’s no storage. The parking is great if you have only one car, but if you have two cars you have to fight for uncovered parking because there is never room. Especially if you like to go out in the evening. The kitchen and living room are connected in a way where it’s just one slightly bigger room, but I won’t lie the place is affordable. Although is it worth the headache?

This apt complex is disgusting and ran by crooks. Previous reviews here state all truth about them, ran across all the same issues. Bugs of all kinds- they charge you monthly on your water bill for pest control which they never spray in or outside of the apts unless you request it. They also charge a community use on water bill so if you live alone or have 3 person family and your neighbors each have 4-8+ kids living in one samll apt, you are paying for their water usage too on top of sprinkler use on the property. They only care about outside appearance. Inside apts you have broken, dented appliances, doors, cabinets and busted door locks from previous break-ins. Very dirty and smelly inside, first day we move in put baby on the floor and her feet and knees were tar black! Air filter was not changed in years, carpets are black. We put all issues on move in check list to get fixed and they never do, just gets filed, waiting to see what they think they are going to charge us for on move out, I have all pictured upon move in for proof. Maintenance takes forever to get things fixed. Parking is terrible, only get one covered spot so for second vehicle its a fight for a spot with others who have more than 2 vehicles parking here. They unlawfully towed our truck for expired tags when registration was paid for but was waiting on tags in the mail, that takes 2 weeks to arrive, 6 others vehicles were towed same night as us for various reasons and they take your car on a Friday night so fees can accrue over the weekend when the tow company is closed and the apt office staff ignore your phone calls and lock their doors on the weekends during business hours. They are contracted with a crook of a tow company that passes through weekly to tow cars. So much more I can write about this poor complex. Please do your research before moving in here. Wish we did.

Had no issues when I lived here. However, about a year after I moved into a different apt complex, I got a collections notice. Desert point said I hadnt payed my move out fees. I had to go to the office and talk to them. The lady at the desk (the younger one)was rude on her phone the whole time and could care less about my problem. She told me it was my fault and that if I had payed it wouldnt have happened. I was in tears at this point. Thankfully another lady was there and she went into their system and found my information showing I DID pay. She was nice enough to talk to the collections person and fax over the information for me. During this time, the younger lady still being rude on the phone was making faces and laughing telling everything to the person on the line. I cant believe they would hire someone so rude. Never going back and never recommending this place to anyone.

Came to visit a few people here, theres next to no parking because all of the spaces outside of the reserved covered spots are always taken, people take up more than one space...and there are scorpions around the property. Definitely changed my mind about moving here.

Just moved into these apartments six days ago! The reviews are 100% true. I didnt want to believe it but yes. The apartments are roach infested and I just got here and never had them at my house so its not me!! The place did NOT look ready when I moved in nothing worked. The only thing positive is that the carpet was clean only because they had to probably. I cant believe I signed a year lease dont know what I am going to do I am in hell already.

I moved here in February and the first day I moved in the apt was dirty. The dishwasher had old discussing water in it and didnt work, not to mention the smell made me and my kids gag. The microwave was painted on the outside and inside in order to cover up the grease stains that they did not want to clean. I had mentioned this to the office within the first hour of moving in they said they would replace the microwave and dishwasher and never have. It took till end of July or any of this to be fixed but still the microwave they did not replace. Office ladies are always rude. Talking to some of my neighbors and everybody pays a different rental price for the same exact apartment. If youre ever late on rent you can charge ridiculous amounts of late charges and service charges when they dont even serve you they just stick to paper through the door. Even if you pay the late charges and exact amount requested they still come back and request more money for some obvious meet up fees just to get more money out of you. Even when you pay the rent on time every month and because of financial difficulties being a single mother of three sometimes you run into hard times instead of trying to work with you cuz youre willing to pay late fees and pretty much give every cent of the money to them so you and your kids can have a roof over your head, theyre very rude and inconsiderate. They take advantage of people especially if they know they aint got nowhere else to go I have no other choice but to pay the ridiculous fees. There are roaches, scorpions, and spiders. The spiders are huge and have several pictures of once we killed and office does nothing. Did you have someone to come around at sprays every couple of months I guess for these kind of pest but obviously it is not working. I had to go out and buy my own bug spray and spray my own apartment and outside wish I was work better then theres. I shouldnt have to spend my own money so that my kids can have a clean and not have it infested with any kind of pest especially since my 10 year old is allergic to any kind of insects bites. Either way they do not care unless its about the rent. One last thing is the parking is terrible. Unless youre one of the office favorite tenants I can pay for a second parking you will never be able to have a guest visit unless they want to park in another apartment complex or across the street and walk to your apartment in order to visit even if its for 5 minutes. I wouldnt recommend anyone living here and if I would have read the reviews before I moved in neither would have I.

These apartments are the worst ever! Dont move in here so glad this least is up soon last month here! Let me tell you the lady the front on the left hand desk is the rudest one that Ive met she should be fired! Where do I start 1) this is roach infested and will be taking pictures at night time because as Im packing up thing in my apartment to move over to the new place you dont see roaches in the morning but at night its like infested its nasty here especially if you have children which I dont but I know other people do that live here and this is not ok! Instead of putting rent payment paper why dont you send out papers spraying the apartment for bugs! 2) I still feel like failing a lawsuit against this complex for an incident that happened last month and how unprofessional in the beginning from when my husband went into the front office was asking questions about the incident that happened and being rude towards my husband! Then telling him a false lie, accusing him as a liar and changing here story around ok find you do that because what Im not letting this go what happened wasnt right! my husband might let it go because its to late but I wont I need to make my point across how they treat people isnt right! If Its to late to file the lawsuit for the incident that happened then I will be calling the NEWS and telling them about what happened so everyone can see how these people really are because no one wants to look bad! Im so upset and just want everyone to know these apartments are horrible please be careful if you do move here. Just please be careful and your research before moving in because then you will be writing a review about this place yourself. Yes all the reviews about horrible parking, walking into a dirty apartment and gagging from the smell, bugs are all very true. Another one to add is we are unable to get any internet or any real kind of TV service here. This is highly unacceptable to as they advertise as such.Parking: cars circling the parking all night long trying to find an unassigned parking spot while many unused covered spots remain open. So if you have 2 cars, trust me when I say look else where fast!Floors: after mopping the floor twice with dawn soap and then 5 passes with a swifter my 9 month daughter still has black all over her feet and knees while crawling. Remember we haven’t been here a month and we had to try and deep clean this apartment! We have many disgusting photos to prove. 2 black mop heads and 1 package of black swiffer pads. We cleaned on day 2 after receiving keys before bring our daughter in. Obviously the apartment didn’t even get swept after last tenants.Smell: imagine you are walking through a cow pen while holding a cat liter box close to your face. That was our first impression upon walking in the door for the very first time.Internet/TV: this is provided by century link only. We are told by century link the apartments do not have enough lines to support giving us internet service. Also century link only offers directv for TV service but the ghetto dirty apartments don’t allow satellite dish to be installed so no TV service in any way! The apartments tell you to use streaming services; this is impossible with no internet service! If you are a student or depend on internet service for any income, do not move here!Do not move here period!Needless to say we are looking at getting out at all cost, including getting a lawyer involved as they advertise services they don’t provide. I feel we are entitled to break the lease with no penalties at the very least!I must repeat, do not move here!

I recently lived there. The gate never worked! it works for about a day or two and then it doesnt. Security wouldnt even be securing the property. always was on his phone or never around. I only liked the fact that it has a ALOT of light during the night but yet people tried stealing cars ALL the time. Too many cockroaches in a 1 bedroom apartment. I dont even cook on the stove,or leave food out. I feel like its a policy for the owners to maintain the rooms from infestation. Its very unprofessional for the people who work here and dont do anything about it. Why have a job if yourNot even working properly? . The people of this place just message back to the reviews but dont move a finger. Its embarrassing

Price is responsible, Ive been here almost 2years.Complex do need to update appliances, Due to I never use my dishwasher because its as old as me. My refrigerator went out and I had to take it apart to defrost it. And the younger matience team is lazy and dont like to do service properly. The children are very loud and damage the court yard and landscaping on the property. And some are the tenets are nasty and leave their trash in front of their doorway with dirty diapers. We have gates that are always broken. The parking lot is terrible. You have a assigned parking space and people park in your space I have had 2 cars towed. Then the tenet parks next to you parks in their space and yours so you cant park in your space.

The picture below shows exactly how disgusting these apartments are . Boric acid powder and roach traps have been sitting outside of this apartment for WEEKS now!! These apartments are filthy and need to be knocked down!!Worst place ever ! Cannot wait for my lease to be up! When we first it the place everything was dirty ! The refrigerator and the dishwasher was filthy!! Hole in bathtub, drawing on the wooden floors and the dishwasher, washer and one of the stove tops were broken !! Big trap door on the top of the ceiling in my bathroom ????? Roaches before we even got food !! stray dogs and cats roam around freely and management does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it. POLICE IS ALWAYS HERE.. Stay far far away .OH AND UPDATETHERE ARE NOW SCORPIONS!! There Oh yeah and the cats are on my stairs now .

Ive been living here for 2 weeks shy of 6 months. I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone. There is a reason the price is so low compared to other complexes in the area.1. The lack of parking is so bad that I, as well as MANY others, have had to park illegally, either in the handicap, handicap crosswalk, No Parking zones, and Ive even seen people park in front of the dumpsters.2. When we first moved in, I had to thank my cat for catching the scorpions in my kitchen! I havent seen scorpions since the first month, but there are roaches everywhere. Just take a walk around the complex and youll see them on the sidewalks.3. The office rarely stays open as late as the hours posted, apparently their management believes leaving 30-45 minutes early is acceptable.4. The office associates are rude. They hide in the back office when people come in the door. I cannot recall one instance when Ive walked in and someone has been there ready to help.5. I dont feel safe. My husband and I came home late from a family function and a gentleman followed us without saying a word until we approached our apartment door (si ge knows where ww live abd sleep) and started making verbal threats to my husband and told him to keep an eye on me. While this was not the fault of the apartment, they have no form of security, so if my husband was not able to deescalate the situation, we could have been in serious danger. Now, we never leave the apartment without a firearm.6. Our maintenance requests never seem to be received. I call the office, put in a request, and never hear back. Since we moved in, one of the large burners on the oven has never worked. Looking at it, the wires have been repaired multiple times. We would like it fixed again, but no one is willing to help. Our dishwasher didnt come with a silverware bucket, which doesnt sound like a big deal, until you dont have it, then its really inconvenient.7. The security gate, which was one of the reasons we moved here, thinking it would be safer, never works. They are constantly open, or halfway open.I can confidently say Ive never lived in a more miserable place. Unfortunately, we are stuck here until we have the money to move. I would give this place zero stars of that were an option.

Small, overpriced, dirty apartments who do not care about the tenant and their concern or needs. Infected with roaches,scorpions and spiders the size of a half dollar. Kelly is a horrible manager who says one thing and never follows through....but will judge and harass you and lie when caught!!! If you are looking for a nice apartment by Heers management try Parkwood or Avante or even Cameron.......

Worst idea to rent here took them 1hour 15min to come and fix an emergency call front office sucks dont know what they doing now I know why maintenance is always hiring here not the best place to be renting here

Terrible apartments

I dont rent anymore there are too many scorpions they should tear down poor people who start a contract without knowing that it is full of scorpions everywhere

The jacuzzi has not been working for more than three months and they are going to fix it and nothing, I have reported a thousand times and blah blah blah, they do not want to spend or improve their services
