Any time someone finds an injured or orphaned animal they call me. When I cant rehab them myself I let the professionals handle it. Donations are much appreciated if you do take them an animal. Brought some of these little guys not too long ago.

My bestie found this baby possum in her living room. I drove it to this wildlife clinic almost an hour away with traffic. The place was back of the woods. I just need to fill out a form and leave this baby possum inside a small shed for the worker to get it after I leave. Now I know where to take any wild animal I hope not anytime soon.

My dogs found a rabbit nest in the middle of our fenced lawn a few days ago. We called two rehab facilities close to our home, one of which advised us to remove the nest (wearing gloves/ try not to handle the babies as much as possible) just to the other side of the fence so dogs are no longer a threat, and the mother would likely find them since they’re close by. Both organizations advised us they were full, and would not be able to take the babies in.Called Schuylkill tonight for some advise, as it doesn’t seem mama is coming back (the dogs, who are two hunting dogs, definitely chased her out of the yard before). The man on the phone was extremely condescending, even after I explained the situation and outlined the precautions we took and the advise of other rehab centers. He ended with telling me I needed to bring them to another rehab facility (that although is in my county, is still an hour away) tonight, that I should have called three days ago when the dogs first found the nest, AND insisted that there’s a way the dogs can co exist with the rabbits in the yard to allow for the nest to remain undisturbed.I have two high energy hunting dogs, who unfortunately in this case, were simply following instinct. Unless I took the next 14+ days off to manage the dogs and the new wildlife in the backyard at the same time, or hired an extra dog walker to make several more visits to my house throughout the day, my dogs coexisting without destroying the nest is not realistic or feasible.I hope this gentleman was simply having a bad day, and doesn’t treat everyone who calls in needing wildlife help this way. We were simply trying to get the best care possible for the babies, following previous advise from other wildlife facilities. Instead we were disrespected, scolded, and made to feel as if we and our dogs were absolutely terrible.

I visited the Schuylkill Wildlife Clinic a few weeks ago (June 2021) and was so impressed by the wide variety of wildlife species that were given care by an incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated staff. The Center is a major resource for the area and of considerable value to everyone, especially at a time when human encroachment into the territory of native animals is increasing at an alarming rate.

A friend rescued 2 baby squirrels and we were able to take them here to ensure they received the proper care & treatment needed to live life in the wild. The gentleman who greeted us was very friendly & helpful and immediately took the squirrels inside to be checked out and cared for.

The man working here was so rude to me I left fighting back tears. Not only was there no answer to the “emergency 24hr” hotline when I tried to call it multiple times, but I was berated for not leaving a message first before showing up to the clinic. Not sure how that would make sense in an emergency situation.

Rescued a baby squirrel that fell out of a tree during the tropical storm last month. Have been taking care of it, but found out that because of this it would be dangerous to release it. I called the wildlife center and received a call back almost immediately. They offered to take my little guy in and try to get him to the point that he could be released. If not he would live there in much better conditions then what I could provide him. They are very kind and knowledgeable. They have no contact drop offs, just make sure you call first! Thank you all for helping make sure Stormy has the best life he can!

Found a baby squirrel in my yard who was very sick. Usually I nurse them back to health than release them back to the wild. Called them they took him and it saved me alot of work. Gave them a small donation. It was that easy.

Awesome people and center! I wish I could donate more money to help there cause because they are doing great!!! Keep up the good work. And to the person who said do not drop off animals here because they will kill them.... they can not save them all but they try. And if your animal was euthanized, it was for a reason. If you touch an animal without gloves, they must be put down! Its the law! So please dont bare hand touch a wild animal if you want them to live!

The helped us with an obviously injured owl that I witnessed being struck by a vehicle while driving. It was not only a Sunday afternoon, but a holiday as well. It was the only rescue that answered the phone and the woman offered to stay open until I arrived. They quickly assessed the animal on arrival and were compassionate towards me as well. A very positive experience and will support this wonderful organization in the future.

What a wonderful resource to have in the area. Found an injured bird in the Exton mall parking deck and was able to take him there. Imagine if we didnt have anywhere to take injured wildlife? They are doing very important work at the wildlife clinic. Also, goats and chickens near the entrance. Fun!

I found the Wildlife Clinic this afternoon when I brought in a baby bird. Ill agree with the other two reviewers when I say that its a real gem of a place and we are lucky to have it here. The volunteers here are kind and give so much for these animals without asking anything in return.

I called this refuge because I wanted to know what to do with an obviously sick pigeon that cannot fly in my backyard. They have some nonsense message on their machine-with no capability to speak with a person. I have a friend who lives in Richboro, Pennsylvania that has a wildlife center that comes and evaluates the situation. They will also pick up an injured animal if the situation warrants it. I am an animal lover. I WOULD NEVER GIVE A DIME TO SCHUYLKILL CENTER. Potential donors beware.

AWFUL hang up on you when you ask a question, I CALLED FROM THE DEC in NY TO get help for a good samaritan needing to ask about bringing a baby squirrel to the center as she needed help with wildlife and they yelled at me and my co-workers as we asked where they were located and kept yelling WE DONT OFFER TRANSPORTATION, that was not what we asked, WE ARE SUPPLYING THE TRANSPORTATION from a local rehabber, however WE JUST WANTED TO BRING THE ANIMAL THERE FOR CARE asap!! She was rude, nasty and hung up on all 11 of us at 10:oo am on 9/19/17 TUESDAY morning and then took their phone off the hook and some us got constant busy signals, OMG not the way we would expect our wildlife and patrons to be cared for!!!!!
