Hardest workouts in Philly. You wont be disappointed.

Really enjoy the welcoming energy of this place. It has free 2.5 hour parking and the place is clean, what more do you want. Oh yeah, machines! At least you dont feel like you have to wait for a machine. You can always do something while you wait. Cant wait to try out the salted pool, only 4.5 feet deep. There are all kinds of people, young and old, skinny and not-so-skinny. Intimidation is not a factor here.

Honestly one of the most intense workouts in Philly! First half of class is either on a treadmill or bike and the secondal half is in the weight room where youre pushed to lift heavy. Trainers and front desk workers are amazing and take the time to get to know you. Philly east location is also very clean with shower and lockers. Class prices/packages are pricey but competitive with similar Philly gyms.If youre looking at this review just book the class already you will not regret it!

Ive only been going for 3 weeks and I am so hooked that I actually look forward to getting my ass kicked every day.It started with the free trial class, then led to the 8 class/month - which I could easily have finished in 2 weeks but spread it out. I was itching to go more! This led to a jumpstart unlimited classes with nutrition training and I go 5-6 times a week! The classes are challenging but not so hard on your body that you cant do it daily. I give myself 1-2 days break depending on how I feel. You leave feeling so proud and happy about what youve accomplished for the day that its addicting to go, it never gets boring. All the reviews on here discuss the typical lass so I wont go much into that, except to say that each class feels different and fun. You work at your own pace/ability and its totally a non judgmental atmosphere! The trainers are the real stars of this gym - they are motivating, fun, encouraging, warm and friendly. They stay after class in case you have an issues you wanted to bring attention to.I wish I had started sooner!

I found UNITE last July and I hope I will never have to leave because of some life changing events. UNITE has changed the way I think and feel about working out and how I view nutrition which essentially has changed my life: stronger, leaner, fitter, mentally better. At UNITE, I feel encouraged by the best coaches, I feel challenged by the workouts, I feel inspired by the community and the people, I feel supported, and I am NEVER BORED!UNITE truly cares about their members which shows from the way you are treated from the second you walk in. The coaches get to know you, and help you improve everyday. Joining UNITE is truly one of the best things I have ever done.

This was an incredible workout. The first half spent in the cardio studio had great instruction by Shannon with high energy music that kept me motivated. Then moved into the weight studio which pushed me to my limits. I think the change of scenery mid work out is really refreshing. The bathroom was well stockedAnd clean which I appreciated. I wish there had been lockers available instead of cubbies but will better prepare for next time

I hate this class so much, but in a good way. It is so hard, and such a good workout. Every time I finish I’m like I cannot do this again it’s too much but somehow end up coming back. If you want something that will get you in shape, this is it. Not for the faint hearted.

My friend said this is the best workout in Philly so I came with her to check it out. When you make your class reservation you can choose to be on a stationary bike or treadmill for the first half of class. Avoid getting the bikes in the back row because the music will be blasting and you won’t be able to hear the instructor telling you what gear shift to select and RPMs (revolutions per minute). I felt kinda lost in the class as a first timer and everyone else seemed like pros when it came to the position to get in and I couldn’t keep up! Totally sweat like crazy though. The second half of class that day was shoulders and chest. Killer workout, I can see why the regulars here are so fit!

I found Unite Fitness four years ago through a google search for the best workout in Philadelphia -- Not only did I find the best workout, but I found the BEST coaches, the greatest of friends, and the loveliest, most supportive community!Ive tried out every workout and gym in Philly and nothing compares to the workouts and care I receive from Unite Fitness. :) The feeling of positivity in the (sweat-entrenched) air and excitement for always getting better and stronger keep me coming back to Unite Fitness! :) so happy to have found you guys!

I love unite so much! As a former athlete I was looking for something super intense and this gives me that! Malik Jones class is killer and he pushes you to your limit with the best music and great energy! Youll leave feeling like a beast after this class! Highly recommend taking Maliks classes at Rittenhouse or Philly East to get that post workout feel-good and take your body to the next level!

Enthusiastic coaches and a focus on healthy living inside and outside the gym. The classes will kick your butt in a good way. A diamond in the rough and a great place to train and achieve weight loss, strength building, or endurance training goals - regardless of your athletic background. Also, they have Quest bars.

Ive been working with Jesse as a personal trainer for a few months now and I must say, the insight that hes been able to provide has been life changing. He has helped me get to the root of some issues that have made it very difficult for me to not only exercise effectively for many years, but also function day to day. The whole vibe of Unite Fitness is comfortable, clean, modern, welcoming and at the same time, intense. You walk into the space and you feel like they get it. Its not just about the workout. Its about eating well, believing in yourself and finding the tools you need to succeed. Im so glad I found Unite and have gotten myself on a path to success. I highly suggest checking them out if youre looking for a place to start getting into shape, or to take your fitness to the next level.

I have been an on and off patron for some years now. Unite fitness provides a great workout experience every time. However, in regards to the nutritionists, Id say throw the whole department away. My experience with multiple employees in this department on various occasions has shown them to be poorly informed, highly incapable, and unresponsive. And unwilling to provide information to clients when they realize that they arent in a position to provide a solution. Which is, needless to say, problematic. Unite fitness is ideal, fitness wise. But I wouldnt recommend the nutritionists there. Youd be wasting your time.

I have been a member of Unite Fitness since November 2014. Unites cross-training workouts combine the individual attention received from a personal trainer with the fun of a group fitness class. The staff genuinely care about helping you reach your personal fitness goals and the atmosphere is unrelentingly positive. The workouts are tough and challenging, but enjoyable. You will not regret this investment in your personal well-being!

What a work out!Unite is a great space to get your gym time in. The whole concept is to have access to both classes and a gym that you may do separately from one another. In addition, they want to provide a fitness regime that will hit all the muscle groups - giving you a united front for that summer bod.To start, there are two locations, I went to the one east of Broad Street and was pleased with the opportunity. It is located in a traffic heavy area, so if youre driving in (like myself) be sure to plan ahead for parking and what not when getting to this location. The actual gym is at an upstairs location so you have to take the stairs around the corner from the proper address to have access.Inside, its well lit, there is a full gym that opens up to the right, after passing through the narrow opening hallway and the registration desk. There is also a cardio room and a open floor space area where most of the classes are taught. They provide complimentary towels, and filtered water (must bring your own water bottle), as well as some snacks/water for purchase.I found that I got a great work out in each time I participated in a class. There was both cardio and strength exercises involved. The classes pushed me and included different movements concentrating on multiple muscle groups of the body. They do have different membership packages, from an unlimited program, to varying class only package sizes. This is nice since it gives you options and the ability to tailor your membership to your needs. There are also student discounts available. The employees are nice and friendly, and many of them work the desk and teach the classes so its nice to interact with them in case you have questions on form or what their schedule of classes are so you can plan accordingly.Overall - happy with the work outs and am looking forward to my next stop in!

I tried the free trial class. I looved it but I just felt like theres no way I can swing the price. So then I took the class through class pass for a couple months. But 3x a month just wasnt enough. The more I thought about it I felt like if you should splurge on anything, its your health.I feel like this is almost like personal-training level workouts. So I finally just signed up for the unlimited plan. So happy I did! This is honestly the first time Ive been a regular gym member - I LOVE the way the class makes me feel. I would never come this regularly and work this hard on my own at a regular gym. Also as an added push they charge you $10 if you dont show up to a class so it holds you accountable. Also love how each trainer has their own quirks and jams. Keeps things spicyHonestly just give it a try!! You wont regret it.

Love this gym - the trainers are great, the workouts even better. I always leave feeling like I got a great workout in. I think this combination (high intensity cardio + weights) is the best type of workout for health and quality of life purposes. I would recommend Unite to anyone.

After dabbling with Unite classes through ClassPass (3x/month) for a few months, I finally made the commitment and joined Unite. It was my favorite class/studio in the city as it offers cardio AND strength training (and some yoga/stretching at the end).Different days are devoted to different parts of your body (ex. Chest w/Shoulders day) so youre not working out the same parts every time. Theres a monthly focus (ex. this month is endurance/conditioning). They also have fun challenges and events sometimes for members. The instructions are always friendly, encouraging, and professional. They really try to learn who you are. While you may be intimidated at first because lots of people who attend the classes are fit, dont be. Everyone there is friendly and theres no judgment.Memberships are a bit pricey, but if youre going to invest in anything, invest in your health.

Im a SPINNING instructor and a group fitness instructor (sub), but I was looking for something that would get me back in the game. So, I joined ClassPass and have been making the rounds. Unite is right around the corner from my office (bonus). I didnt know anyone that went there to ask them about it, but after reading the synopsis of the workout on their website, I decided to try it. I went during lunch time and took the express class with Autumn. SHE OWNED IT. Her workout shocked me right out of my workout stupor. I rowed during the cardio portion (I also take classes at RowZone) since I taught SPIN that morning. The cues she gave were good although, more dialog is focused toward treadmill and cyclists. There are only so many things you can do on a rower I guess, but I still got a burn. After 28 mins of cardio, off to the strength portion. I was I little intimidated as I was the oldest person in the room and most of the young ladies were pretty darn fit. The workout was on the white board. There were TRXs hanging from the ceiling and benches, steps, and weights all organized. We were instructed on what to equipment to grab then she explained and demonstrated each exercise. I had a BLAST! My calorie burn was over 600 for the hour. She plays good music and is really helpful. I came back a few more times and kept up the love affair. I liked it so much, I joined the $349 10 week boot camp. If that isnt commitment, I dont know what is. So far, Ive worked with Autumn, Austin, Mark, Kelly and Jesse. All are wonderful in their own way. In the 75 minute workout, there is a series of stretches and yoga poses that really get the body relaxed. The hands-on sports mini massage is the BEES KNEES! Im 2 weeks into the boot camp and Im hooked. Ive even brought some of my FIFs (friends-in-fitness) along to try it and THEY TOO are hooked. I think Ive found my fitness sweet spot.
