I spoke to Faras about my history with a tire issue. He treated me as if I was a woman who didnt know the basics about cars. I challenged his perception. He set an appointment. I told him I wanted to deal with him so I wouldnt have to repeat the history. The appointment date was his day off. If one is not able or willing to deal with all types of customers, maybe this isnt the right job.
This is worst autocenter. Service is very poor. Even with appointment they made me wait for 2hr 30min. After waiting for so long when I check the car they did not even perform half of the service I requested. I don’t recommend this autocenter. Waste of time and money.
Car car battery serviceExcellent work
So sad to see the decline of Sears. Ive been coming to Sears for my automotive battery needs for years. Today was quick and easy and was in and out in minutes. Do yourself a favor and visit a Sears Automotive soon.
Really friendly people. They have done great work so far on all my visits. There system works well, they charge you for a diagnostic and that goes towards the work. Cant beat that. They need to know what they need to work on and they shouldnt have to do it for free. But then, they basically do it for free by the time the do the repair. Their hourly rates are very reasonable. Better than waiting for three weeks for the dealer. If you have a vehicle over 5 or 6 years old, you should not bother taking it anywhere else.
Terrible service came in for tire repair..was told wait time would be 1-1.5 hours...more than 2 hrs and nothing was done. Johnathan did not explain problem to mechanics.told us that nothing was wrong with tire. Totally useless!!! Said that because the tire was patched already we would have to pay to fix it. We had already said that he NEEDED to get it patched in order to get to Sears. No one even took tire off to check the inside and fix the problem. Jacob, assistant manager, was not a big help either. DO NOT GO THERE TO BUY YOUR TIRES!!!
My experience was with a rude attendant who very clearly didnt know what he was doing. He spoke to me as if I was his home, using slang and even curse words. He didnt know how to figure out what the right tires were for my car and suggested I spend 1,200 for tires (that would have been the wrong size) to protect any future kids I might have even though I didnt speak of the fact that I was trying to have kids and dont intend to have any more. Also we were speaking over the phone so its not like he was looking at a baby bump. It was a pretty rude suggestion given the circumstances but more importantly he wanted me to buy the wrong tires. He clearly got mixed up and is inexperienced and probably needs more training and etiquette
Still the best Battery DieHard
Jake in the service department is fantastic. Had my flat tire changed in an instant!
Staff was very Professional, helpful and friendly.
Car diagnostics were on the mark. Repairs were less than two other competitors. They will recommend items that could be repaired to factory spec but not be needed right away.
Definitely not taking my car back for another oil change.
Got my car alignment and 4 tire replacement here. They Jack up my car and somehow missed the metal car frame (for jack stand) and instead the jack went into my side skirt dented on both side of my car. They return my car and quietly let me go, knowing they damaged my car and made a huge dent on the bottom of my car. But since it was hard to see they stay quite. This place is shady and amazon shouldnt even allow their tire to be shipped her for replacement. Please becareful once you turn your car in and when they return it to you, make sure you check for all damage, yes most importantly the bottom of your car too where they jack it up.
I got a battery selected, paid for and installed in less than an hour. PERIOD
Ill put 0 star if I could. This place is DISHONEST! I brought my car to change 4 tires three days ago. The manager gave me a quote for around $600 for all 4 tires including installations. I asked how come so expensive for Honda Civic tires (I did a quick check online for about $70 each tire). He said theres a cheaper tire that will cost a total of $580. So I figured I was there already, why not just have it done. 30 minutes later when I looked at my invoice, I realized that I was charged for things and services that I didnt asked for (its part of my own fault that I didnt ask or look at the invoice earlier)! I was charged $90 for alignment (I know that I dont need an alignment because I had it done not long ago), $60 for tire protections/insurance, $80 for tire balances and $50 for 4x tire sensors (I do NOT need new tire sensors, the old ones are fine!). There it goes my extra $280 on top of actual costs of the tires!I went to the manager asked them to take off the alignment but it was too late because they already completed the alignment! I didnt to pay for the extra charges/services if I was told up front.ONE WORD: DISHONEST!
Awesome service. I brought my car in at 4:30pm with a dead alternator and they are able to fix it by tomorrow because they are waiting on a part.
I need to replace my cabin filter? You didnt even open the glove to take a look. By the way, I have a K&N filter in there and it was new when I had my car serviced there. Watch out ladies, I think they target mostly women since they assume women dont know much about cars. Upsell.
We were looking for a Sears Auto Center to drive us home after our wedding, I came across love boat and had the pleasant opportunity to speak with Patrick. We rented a Lincoln MKX I believe, which was exactly the right thing for what we were looking for. Overall, our experience was great, our car arrived right on time and was clean, orderly, and well-priced!
I will never use these guys again I got a second opinion for a major repair that Sears recommended for under $2100 ended up being something simple was repaired under $180 what a shame for this big company the way they take advantage of people
Just took my car here to get the battery replaced. I made an appointment and was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Everyone I dealt with was polite and professional. Very satisfied!
I started going here on recommendation from my father in law. They seem to be honest and do good work.
Fast and courteous service. Prices are ok, not great.
Great sales
Took my car in for an oil change at Sears Auto Center (Pasadena) this past Tuesday. There was nothing wrong with my car before Sears got a hold of it. The next day there was oil in my driveway. Thought it could be a little residue from the the oil change but everywhere I parked there was fresh oil under my car. I crawled under the car and found way too much oil all over the bottom of the engine.Returned to Sears, they said my oil pan gasket has a bad leak. I asked them how that could be when three days ago there mechanic worked in the same exact area and there was NO OIL LEAK but somehow now magically my car is leaking oil. After reviewing the receipt for the third time it revealed that they charged me for seven quarts of oil. Come on what car takes seven quarts of oil. BUT when too much oil is in the engine it can and will cause an oil leak. When I pointed this fact out to the manager they were quick to deny that seven quarts of oil was added to the engine. They actually marched a mechanic over to me who stood there and said I absolutely did not put seven quarts of oils in your car. The manager, the service rep and the mechanic all said and I quote that is a computer glitch.Either Sears put too much oil in my car or Sears cheated me by over charging for extra oil. When confronted with this, the Manager made an offer to fix the oil leak for half the normal cost, that would be another $200.00.Do yourself a big favor, dont bring your car to Sears Auto Center in Pasadena even for the simplest or least expensive repair.Note; No I did not accept the offer.
I brought my car. The manager cant find my name in the computer. I called 1 day before to varify that the tires are there. The employees are gouchy and rude manner. They dont know how much pressure to put on the tire, they put the wrong pressure. They dont know how to put the block so the car wont move back and forth while tightening the bolt. This auto Center is the worst place. Stay away from this auto Center.
Worst place ever! Do not come here and waste your money
I was told the total for changing a headlight bulb in my car was going to be 59 dlls. They ordered the bulb and they called they needed more time and it was going to cost me more for the service. They churched me TWICE as much and they did not take more time. I feel robbed I will never go back!
Bait and switch was in play. Got the Platinum package listed on the Sears website at $244, they immediately estimated my 2011 Chevy at $400 with a 80 dollar credit. So 319.50 was my amount. Requested the manager, he was double taking and pointing at my invoice contradicting everything the salesman tried to explain about why I was initially 150 dollars over the website price... Absolute Sham operation.
Tried speaking with the manager Firas after oil was not put back in my truck after an oil change and he is very disrespectful. Putting his hand in my face, screaming at me, and doesnt have the ability to answer a very straight forward question. He had lied and scared employees into lying. Corporate better step in ASAP and get ahold of this situation
Went there to change my two front tires ordered from Amazon, the vehicle was equipped with Tire-pressure monitoring system and mechanic didnt mark the wheels before dismantling. At the time installing back, asked him, does he know, which one is left and right, and he said - no. Luckily he installed it properly, but pressure was almost 40psi instead of 34 requested, so check it. After work was done, heres what the did to driver seat (check photos), despite they even used seat cover. Their manager Firas denied any kind of responsibility at the beginning, finally after short conversation, agreed, that they will try to clean it and if not good, will take to detailing. Result on the photos (before and after their work). Also, at the time of check-in, they are checking wheels alignment, on the ground, not loaded car, without tire pressure check, my shown that back wheels need alignment (+80USD), i refused, will check on dealership service once again. They have good equipment, but customer service is miserable.
I like to come to this auto center for safety related maintenance -- such as brakes. I feel confident that they will do good work.
Helpful and knowledgeable.
Today i just stop by sears buy some tools, by the way see the auto center they have the Tïres on sale buy 3 get 1 free with alignment looks like good dealthan I asks the service writer, he told me they can work on for 430$some in 30 minutes, then I said ok go ahead, after a while I finds out they want install the old products Tïres ( 3016 )mean the 30 week of 2016 Tïres to install on my car, of course I don’t accept, and I ask the service writer to order the new products Tïres for me, i will come back to change, he told me no he can not order, I ask him why cannot ? or just want to sell the old products Tïres to customer? then he told me will charge the alignment fee for 79$, I told him I would not pay single dollar, it’s not my faultso please all customers take a look what products date and year they installed on your car
I went to Sears auto shop to get my car checked and a young mechanic named Dominc was very courtious and knew exactly how to do his job. I need an oil change and my tires rotated. I will come back for any other repairs in the future
Took my car in to have the back drum brakes replaced and they broke my car the front rotors, ball joints and broke a few months old upper hose to my radiator that i replaces the last time i was there This has not been the first time. Pasadena police are worthless and the manager could care less hope those mf get shot since they think its ok to cheat people out of money. Never come here Rip off
Low price, good maintenance service
Ive had nothing but problems with this Sears automotive location and I know dozens of other Pasadena neighbors have as well. Their low star ratings prove this, Why doesnt the City of Pasadena just Shut them down once and for all? Their technicians are extremely rude, too. Red the reviews and Stay away from Sears automotive in Hastings Ranch!
Efficient customer service.
DO NOT take your car here unless youre fine with being ripped off. I NEVER write reviews (seriously, I think this is my second review ever) but I was so incredibly offended by my treatment here that I decided it was worth my time. Only giving 1 star because I dont think you can give 0. Heres what happened:When I discovered that my 2012 Prius was in need of its 60k mile maintenance I called Sears to get a quote. I spoke with a man named Lee who told me that the 60k mile service would cost $230. I told him my car needed synthetic oil and he said that would be an extra $30, so were up to $260. No problem. I told Lee that is seen a Groupon for an oil change from Sears and asked if I could use that Groupon even though the oil change was part of a package and he said yes that was fine. Great! So I dont know what portion of that $260 is for the oil change, but I know that after the Groupon I should at least be under $260.So I get to Sears and find Lee and right off the bat he tells me the package I need is actually $244 plus $35 for synthetic oil. So now were up to $279 plus tax, which gets us to $290. So its only $30 more than I was quoted but at this point Im already feeling messed with. I asked Lee why he told me $230 + 30 over the phone and his answer was well I was just estimating. I can see where the phones are and I can see that there are large signs listing the cost if each service package well within eyesite of said phones, so now Im irritated. (It REALLY didnt help that when Lee ran all of this past his boss, whose name I dont remember but Im pretty sure hes the manager, his boss was super dismissive and rude about my TOTALLY warranted questions.) I reminded Lee about the Groupon and asked what that takes off of the cost and he tells me that the Groupon only gives me $20 off (its closer to $30, but whatever) and that he is actually giving me $65 off, so the Groupon isnt worth it. Fine by me because I hadnt actually bought it yet, but how is the total still at $290 if hes giving me a $65 discount??At this point I am frustrated and frazzled and feeling embarrassed because I know Im getting screwed over and Im not sure what to do about it so, like the independent and competent woman that I am, I called my boyfriend. I put him on the phone with Lee, who tries to explain the numbers to him and, no shoxk, the numbers dont add up to my boyfriend either. He tells me to just get my car back and take it somewhere else. Guess what happened next! Lee comes back and says it turns out you dont need that transition check until 90k miles, so we need to take $100 off of that price. REALLY??? So youre totally dismissive of me and my questions but as soon as I get a MAN on the phone to talk to you all if a sudden it turns out that $100 worth of my $290 bill (that was, lets not forget, supposed to be $260) was actually completely unnecessary???? REALLY SEARS???????? I could not have been more offended. At least, I thought I couldnt in that moment, cuz it turns out Im not done yet.So obviously I didnt give Sears my service, but instead called the Toyota dealership near me to do d out what is actually supposed to be included in the 60k mile service. According to the very nice people in the Toyota dealership service department (thanks Pam and Mario!) the 60k mile service should include: an oil and oil filter change, tire rotation, cabin and air filter change, and break inspection. For all of this, including the synthetic oil which is standard for my car, the dealership charges $203. Wait, what???? Arent dealerships notorious for drastically overcharging??? Yeah, thats right, my f*ing DEALERSHIP was going to charge me $87 less than F*ING SEARS!!!!!!!In the end I took my Prius to my moms mechanic, who is 20 miles from my house, but who I at least already know and only charged me $140 all in. So, lesson learned. SCREW YOU, TOO, SEARS AUTO CENTER!!!!!!
They have been very good to me, I will go back again !
Simple oil change was just a nightmare, I would never go there again.
Why the hell didnt I listen to the earlier reviews?! Based on my experience, they must all be true.Nothing hurts more than to realize that youve water both time AND money in poor customer service and incompetence. If there is indeed a quota to be met, then I may have even been a deliberate swindle. Either way, there wasnt much that I could do.The background: I had several issues with my car and was attacking them one at a time. I had a repetitive screeching sound coming from my belt, a vibration as a result of a wheel bearing, and some minor stuff. I thought the vibration may have been an issue with the alignment, so I had Seats check it just in case. A woman Lulu? asked about the other issues, including the screeching belt. I was invited over to my car and they pointed out the pulley of my alternator, which I had replaced at that very sears. It was just a little too old to be under warranty, but still relatively new. They said the pulley was bad and since it was part of the alternator, it needed to be replaced, even though the rest of it was still good.I decided to handle things by order of priority, and got the wheel bearing thing done somewhere else. I was told by the other place that I needed a belt tensioner changed to get rid of the belt screeching. By the time I had the money for the next item, I took it back to Sears. I called two days in advance and asked for the cost of the replacement. They told me it would cost 262 before tax (285 with tax) over the phone. I brought it in there and the price had changed. It was suddenly over $300 before tax. I asked about the price difference and they dropped some of the labor down. In total, the price was now about $320 after tax. STILL higher than the original cost. I bit the bullet and agreed, so long as the sound went away. The sound was a major embarrassment when driving anywhere. It was typically worse on a colder day or in the morning.By the time I got my car back, most of the bay doors were closed. I asked to inspect the old part, but I was given various reasons why i didnt need to and lead to my car. The work order states that i am allowed to receive my old parts if they were not being exchanged (?), but if they were, I could at least inspect them. I then turned on my car and the speedometer was stuck at max (100+ mph). I asked them about it and they drove it real quick until it went away. Not an issue. BUT, when I got in and started driving I had discovered that the f**king sound was still there! Did I just pay to replace something that didnt need replacing?I went back the next day to see if the part had been sent away for recycling. It was.. so I could never inspect it. (I dont know what I wouldve looked for, but still, I wanted to see for myself. I was given many excuses as to why I was told that the problem that I had paid for to go away was still there. They pointed at the belt tensioner..... THE HELL? This wasnt mentioned before by them. Even when I brought it up, they told me it was the alternator! One of the excuses given was that they normally replace both of them, but again, this was never brought to my attention.I will NEVER go back to Sears and cant wait to see to their business finally crumble, as it should have long ago.Once more, I shouldve believed the reviews.
Great service. Very lousy staff. Only go hear for an oil change and thats it.
GO ANYWHERE ELSE.I called Sears because its close to work, and because the problem I was having related to brakes. After hearing what sounded like rubber rubbing my car frame or some other vibration upon applying my brakes halfway to work, I started imagining careening off an offramp without brakes and T-Boning someone. I felt I must take it in. DO NOT GO HERE.The guy on the phone said 30 minutes to look at it, 30 minutes to fix what we find, no waiting right now. so I went right in. I told the guy Ill be around, getting lunch and shopping inside your store, so just call me right up. and proceeded. I got back 65 minutes later with no phone call. As Im walking up, lunch in hand, I see my car high up with all the wheels off and no one working on it. DO NOT GO HERE.Over the course of the next 3 hours, making no effort to take any credit for how screwed up they were, I was treated to a barrage of excuses and sales pitches. During this time, I witnessed half of their 20 staffers standing around with their hands in their pockets. At one point I was even told there was a part they didnt have any I sent a guy to go get it, but now hes on lunch. I was never called about a missing part, and there were 19 other guys that could get a part, not the guy on lunch. At 3pm, I pressed the manager youre now making me late for my girlfriends birthday dinner at 4 with her family. Fix this right now. and so he walked over and told the guys to get the work done. Even after this stern announcement, one guy finished the work, and 3 guys stood around, 2 literally with their hands in their pockets... DO NOT GO HERE.At no time during this entire 4 hour bullshit-a-thon were more than 4 of the 16 or so bays full. DO NOT GO HERE.Side note: Look into the managers office. The white board indicates they have a sales quota for brakes/struts/shocks/tires. Aka, they dont care if you need them or not, theyre going to try and get you to buy them. I was offered front brake pads because of the wear... they didnt see in their computer that I had gone to another shop and replaced them only 11,000 miles ago. DO NOT GO HERE.
Good services. A pricey establishment
Best prices for their full synthetic oil change
Never come here. They will rip you off and then tell you to come back and rip you off some more. Last time i was driving by an employee caused damage to a car. Scratched the whole side of a beamer.
I cant get my battery replaced
I always, shop at Sears for automotive, clothes, tools, and appliances. They are good to our veterans.
Fixed my flat tire for$20
After thousands of dollars and visit after visit to get right work I didn’t even go in for I can tell you Do yourself a favor and just stay away.
2 hour wait for a tire
They dont care.. really bad ppl works there.. dont go
Cause its still exists
I just got an oil change here and the service sucks. I highly doubt ill come back. And the manager just made exuses for his workers awful customer service. I dont plan on continuing my 10 year loyal customer service here.
Good
Service sucked
Good service
I went for an aligment
