If you’re a UCF student or someone living in Oviedo this is the place to go. I’ve been going to Randy and Tibbits since I moved to Orlando 5 years ago and they’re always very reliable and trustworthy. I can’t thank them enough.

I had an issue with my car not always starting. Took it to Tibbitts and they discovered an issue with my positive battery cable assembly. They had to order the part, so it took a few days. Once the part arrived, they had my car back to me in tip top form. Their prices are reasonable and the staff kept me informed throughout the process. I highly recommend Tibbitts for any car/truck work.

Very friendly staff! they are very open about the service they do to your vehicle. I do not feel like knowledge is being gatekeeped from myself as my owner, such as other mechanic shops.

My family’s been going here for like 15 years but we can’t really recommend this place anymore. Robert used to be great but now they try to charge you as much as they can get away with and this new guy randy is consistently rude about it.

These folks came recommended by a lifelong friend of mine, and now we both and our kids who drive, use Tibbitts for all of our mechanic, anything under the hood that we need!! Prices cant be beat, fast service, no push to have unnecessary work completed. They are truly a family and treat me like family as well. Weve actually moved out of Oviedo yet make the trip when our vehicles are in need!! Please dont ever change!

Great independent shop with fair prices and excellent work. The mechanic noticed a bubble on the inside of our front tire, saving us from a probable blowout and potential accident. Randy called a local tire shop and verified they had our size in stock, saving us further time and expense. A real pleasure to do business with!

Im not really sure why I even patronized this business, as Randy is condescending & just discourteous/impersonal in general. Do yourself a favor & steer clear of this place, go do business with true professionals!You disrespect not only others, but your own business & ultimately yourself; when you fail to maintain a nature of professionalism & respect.

Last week was my second time to have Tibbitts work on my car. The owner Randy was very nice and helpful. This time, my car would not start, and i needed a new starter. Tibbitts towed my car to their shop and fixed it within 3 hours so I was able to pick it up after work. Spent $300 initially on a job that they diagnosed as the culprit. 2 days later, the problem was still there. Now they want another $1400 to fix what they shouldve been able to accurate diagnose from the beginning. Then I found out 2 other mechanics can do it for 1/3 the price. Absolutely wouldnt come back here/nor would I recommend anyone wanting knowledgeable service

Been going here a long time; not anymore. They used the bait and switch tactic on my daughter in law and charged her close to a couple grand. We ended up going elswhere for 1/20 of the price to get her car permanently fixed. You just lost a customer.

Dont be fooled. A good mechanic with a good diagnostic track record is lacking here. Wasted thousands on my car. They will attempt to upcharge and upsell you for the most expensive options when a simple quick fix is all you need.

They had an amateur mechanic who didnt know what he was doing. Seems like its a failing business with not a lot of competent people are staying

Years back when I was a student, I purchased an old used car which was not in good shape mechanically. I went there for major repairs. Randy was very helpful and honest, and had the car running smooth for years after repairing. I also remember they were very kind giving me a ride with their truck to my apartment since I knew noone else around to pick me. Later I have been there for other repairs. One time my radiator got cracked while driving and was blowing steam, I called Randy and drove the car there for an immediate service. I was very satisfied with their service.

Update:Randy gave us a call and personally apologized for the bad experience.We always work with Randy and that night he was not there.Thank you so much for caring! 🖤We use to love these guys, but...Tonight my boyfriend was told off and hung up on,after patiently awaiting a call back. Even after expression his love for this company.Tried calling for a tow quote for a friend. He expressed how he really loved their service and has been using them for years.After being told that hed get a call back and waiting almost an hour and a half he finally called back the company.The dispatcher told him to call back in 10 minutes if he didnt hear from the tow driver.She cant give the quote, only the driver can so he had to speak to him.15 minutes passed and he called again.They transferred him to the tow driver.He tried asking a question before the dispatcher transferred him and she just kept cutting him off and saying Hold on! Hold on!After that he got on the phone with the driver.He told him he needed a quote.The guy told him the price. Then rudely asked if he was getting the car or not.My boyfriend explained again that hes been calling just to get a quote and he has to let his friend know.The driver then rudely asked You dont know if youre going to do it??!!!My boyfriend said Yeah Ive been explaining I just need a quote for my friend. Hell call you right back about getting the car.Well, dont count on me getting it!And hung up.Completely unprofessional and unacceptable!I get tow drivers have a stressful hard job, but thats not okay at all.Again weve been using them for years.This has never happened.

Tibbitts is the best auto repair in Orlando. I asked them to fix my rear lights. They did, AND they checked my engine light filled my tires and fixed my auto lights for free. Just because they had the time!

Tibbitts Incorporated is a top shelf auto repair facility. They do also have a police impound lot, do not mistake the reviews of impound lot customers for reviews concerning their Auto Repair. It is a rare instance when someone is happy because their car is in an impound lot.

Randy listened to my problems and questions and answered each at my low level of auto knowledge. He spent a lot of time educating me about what the auto parts do and what needs to be done to keep my car running. I felt like I was taken care of (unlike at other places where you feel robbed). Everyone else who works here was also pleasant and helpful.Honest and professional. Will return here for all future auto service. And will recommend to all friends and family.

Tibbitts Auto Repair Company is definitely a 5-star company. They are very friendly, honest, affordable, and knowledgeable. Another company gave me a price for about $800 to repair the front of my car because they said that they might have to replace my grill etc and the top of my bumper of my car, but Robert checked my car out and all my car needed was the grill to be taken off and put back on so that the piece would be back to normal as well as the top piece. I would highly recommend this auto repair company to anyone. I will definitely be back for future repairs!

Tibbits is great! They have been my sole service and repair provider for over fifteen years. They do excellent work, charge fair prices, and are genuinely concerned about their customers and their vehicles. I have never had anything but positive experiences with them and so I recommend them highly and without reservation.

My experiences with Tibbitts Auto Repair & Towing have been great! A friend recommended me to go there few years back. Now I take all my family & business vehicles there for all preventive maintenance and automotive repair. They are very honest and do excellent work at a reasonable price.Office staff is very pleasant and treats you like a “customer” not a “number”. I personally consult with the service manager Randy…He is the best. He has wealth of knowledge about automobiles. He will give you great advises that can save you lot of money!

I like the service, my only complaint was the expense, warrantied battery and new tires costed me over $500. Id take my car here again if I needed to. Id pay extra for the good service. They are very good with communication as well. We spoke often via phone and email.

Kid away from home in college, heard a hissing sound in car. I said it sounded like the brake booster. Called several different repair shops in area and was quoted a fee from $375-$715. I was also told it probably needed the master cylinder also. I finally got a hold of Ray and he was honest and stated that the master cylinder would not make a hissing sound in cabin. I then told him his honesty let me know he was the guy for me. He got the vehicle in the next morning took a look repaired the brake booster only at a very reasonable price. IF YOU ARE A PARENT OR COLLEGE STUDENT LOOKING FOR A FAIR PRICE AND GOOD WORK, ALONG WITH GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. THIS IS YOUR PLACE!!!!

Randy and Tibbitts were great to work with. My son is a student at UCF and they were super easy to work with via phone. Tibbitts was thorough, honest and kept our best interests in mind. The repair was inexpensive as well. I would definitely recommend Tibbitts to anyone in the Oviedo area or to anyone needing a trusted mechanic for their student attending UCF who may be living away from home.

My college student needed her car fixed and I was not close enough to work it all out in person. I contacted Tibbitts and spoke to Randy. He assisted with helping her get back to her dorm while they worked on the car and assisted with getting her car back to her. Very reasonably priced for the work that they did. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again for future repairs for her!

Bunch of scam artists. Told me I had a possibility of 3 things that could be wrong. Ended up paying close to 2K for work and months later, the issue returned. We went to another mechanic, and turns out, a $65 dollar fix would permanently solved the problem. DO NOT GO HERE!

Got to actually see him patch up my tire instead of waiting in the waiting room. Was initially gonna charge me $15, but ended up getting it for free. Would highly recommend

Every time I went there to check & repair my car Ive had wonderful service. The guy I talk to every time is very honest and nice; if he thinks someone else can do a better job, he will even recommend you to go to a dealership instead. Theyre looking to help you, not to rip you off. They call with the assessment and had nice explanatory answers to all of my questions. They also offer a UCF student discount.

We are long time users of Tibbits - for yearly maintenance, essential major work (old car!) and repairs. Every experience has been great. Friendly atmosphere, great explanations of problems, good pricing, quality work. The ride back to UCF if needed also a plus. Todays visit for a mystery problem associated with breaks causing battery to run down. Problem found quickly, fixed for a VERY reasonable price, and battery recharged before I left.Highly recommend.

I have used Tibbitts Auto Repair twice since I moved to Orlando in March of 2015 and they remind me of the local auto repair shop that I used at my old house. They are extremely customer oriented, give an understandable explanation of the exact vehicle issue, and offer reasonable prices with great service results. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends and I will take all of my familys vehicles to them in the future.

The service at Tibbitts is outstanding. I had to have my car towed, they had the tow truck out quickly and my car serviced by the next day. The staff is very friendly and the repair costs are very reasonable.

Tibbits did a great job fixing my bearing hub. I called around to practically every auto repair place in the area and they came in at the lowest price. But, even after dealing with them, Ill probably go with them in the future even if they are a little over other estimates because they just do good business. I left my car with them fully expecting that theyd eventually get to it within in the day, but they had it done and tight before lunch (under 3 hours). Mind you, it wasnt dropping the trans or anything, but the fact that they got right to it gives me an idea of how the shop is run. Great job guys, thanks!

Ive been to a lot of shops in Orlando and Oviedo and without a doubt, Tibbitts is and will airways be my go to place for car repair. Robert is a straight shooter and honest man who has really made this place what it is. Their reputation for honesty and fair prices is what sets them apart from the rest.

Illegally towed my vehicle that caught a flat on the side of 417 it was not near any right of way it was not near any bridge entrance it was also in the grass. I left it there at 9:45pm and when I returned it was gone the tow receipt states they took it at 1:30am. I called them Saturday and they wont give me any information and stated that there is no one in the office until Monday. You illegally towed my vehicle trying to rack up charges because of a holiday Easter weekend. They would only take cash when I picked up the vehicle yet they have a debit card machine which leads me to believe that their business is doing so to possibly avoid paying taxes on that income. Today I will be filing a report with the State trooper compliance office they will be investigating the SCFHP officer to see if he is working hand in hand with this tow company to receive some sort of compensation. I will be filing a report with the IRS to Investigate and the state revenue office as well.

Awful customer service. No morals. Will do anything to keep your car in the lot as long as possible for insurance money. One of the ladies there was rude to the insurance agent I was working with, so now I know its not just me. If youre hispanic dont expect a warm welcome.

People were nice, towing job was completed with satisfaction, but actual price for towing was higher than quoted. :-( Asked for bill adjustment and was denied :-(

Watch out for their trucks on the road!!! Exited 429 onto Stoneybrook West and I watched a truck speed by everyone (long line of cars exiting) and force his in between two cars riding the bumper of the one in front until coming to a stop at the redlight. Very easily could have caused a multi car accident.

Most helpful towing company I have ever encountered

THEY LOST MY KEYMY 16 year old daughter had her Toyota towed and when she went to get it out they gave her a different key from the $300 key that opens the door keyless. When she said it wasnt her key they said it was what they had.The key they gave her worked but all my other authentic Toyota keys that I had for the car didnt work.I went to Toyota. Toyota said that they had changed the security code and that is why none of the keys work but the new one they made.I called them many times and they had no idea what I was talking about and were rude and nasty. I dont know how they run their tow company and maybe management didnt know that someone had illegally tampered with my security system in my car.I find it outrageous how this went down.ZERO stars
