Ive been working with Nick for a little over 3 months now and Im already starting to see results. Ive been able to put on muscle and gain more definition in the process which is really exciting for somebody who has a hard time putting on weight. All within the course of 18 months; I became a single father, my mother died at the age of just 48 and my house was foreclosed on. This year and a half put a lot of strain on my mental health. I dont drink, I dont do drugs and I have 3 children so I couldnt go out. I turned to food for comfort. When this first started I was 180 lbs and still playing soccer. Fast forward six years to 2019 and I was pushing 230 lbs. I had gone from medium shirts to XL and my stomach was still showing. I didnt have the energy to do normal daily requirements, let alone play soccer. I was unhealthy and unhappy. I avoided looking in the mirror at all cost. Seeing myself without my shirt on would trigger depression and anxiety. It got bad enough that I had to be put on medicines to deal with my mental state. In 2019 I decided I had had enough. I began running everyday from January until July. But I didnt notice any improvement. I needed help. In November I called Nick. No idea who he was. I just googled a bunch of places and called two that I thought could both possibly help me. I left voicemails for both. Nick called back that day. He had an energy and a confidence that was positive and made me believe he was someone that could help. I began working out with Nick two times a week and he helped me better understand my daily nutritional needs. But Nick provided a service so much more valuable than that. He made me believe in myself. He was positive and confident and made me feel relaxed, even when we were doing something hard. Nick helped me get over the mental block and excuses that I had put in place to justify my lazy lifestyle. Today I am at 179 lbs! I am wearing medium shirts again and I had to buy multiple sets of new pants as I went down from a 38 waste to a 32. I still have work to do, but Nick gave me the tools to feel confidence to be able to achieve my goals. I am not just happy about losing weight... I am a novice at working out and have had some shoulder issues in the past which made me hesitant to even attempt weight training. However, I started working out with Nick and he was so good at tailoring my workouts for my needs and issues. I saw results and my shoulder has never once hurt. I highly recommend him. Nick Bolton is incredible! He helps keep me motivated by making the workouts interesting and different almost everytime. I have lost about 7 pounds and have felt over all way healthier. Hes really knowledgeable with nutrient and has helped me understand what will help me with my goals. He knows how to push each person just the right amount which is really neat considering we are all different. Definitely pushes me more than I realize I can do which is awesome! I first started working with Nick back in 2009. I have trained with him off and on since then I always go back to him because I absolutely enjoy working out with him. He pushes me knowing what I can handle even though I might not know what Im capable of. He keeps things interesting every session. I ALWAYS walk (sometimes crawl lol) away from a session with him feeling amazing and knowing I just had an awesome workout. Nicks personality is amazing which makes the sessions fun and exciting.
Im currently using Nick as my trainer under his 12 week program. Im so far at week 7 and I have lost 10 pounds and a few inches off of my waist. His nutrition plan really works to fit your needs, and its planned out great to make you really understand what you are suppose to be eating. He uses the app Trainerize to set up your workouts and its very easy to use and helpful in tracking your progress! Nick is very knowledgeable and has really been helping me achieve my fitness goals. Nick is more than just a fitness trainer and will prove that with the relationship you will develop with him no matter what your fitness goals are. From competing in fitness competitions or just knowing how to get started into fitness, Nick knows how to tailor your specific needs and goals to get you motivated, keep you motivated and to have fun. He is always taking lead in the fitness industry and constantly pushing himself into learning new things, taking new classes or certifications and he passes that knowledge onto you with his training. You can go to another trainer but I guarantee you wont find anyone more experienced or knowledgeable.
Nick really cares about his clients and knows how to customize plans to help each one reach their goal. He is very knowledgeable and continues to educate himself with classes and certifications to become an even better trainer. He is also a great motivator and supporter and really helps you push yourself to your full potential! Definitely one of the best trainers in KC!!

The BOTTOM LINE: Nick has helped me get results.Professional, realistic, fun, motivating - this guy is a pro. Have been working out with Nick for years - surely one of the best decisions Ive made (and stuck with). If you want to lose some weight, get fit, be healthy - whether its through weight training, better nutrition, overall fitness challenges - Nick has a great way of providing the structure, guidance and encouragement that will do the trick. And - hes a good guy (he paid me $20 to toss THAT in - ha!).I dont typically do on-line reviews....but Nick definitely deserves 5 stars!
Hands down the best trainer in city! Nick really cares about his clients and does a great job establishing relationships which facilitate success in goal attainment. I have lifted weights on and off most of my life, always with mediocre results. He changed the way I lifted, improving my results but also reducing the potential damage I was doing to my body. Nicks boot camp classes were fantastic! He offered variety and pushed us hard. I always left with a sense of accomplishment in my workout. He was able to accommodate all fitness levels - giving you adjustments as you needed them. Nick was always able to answer our fitness and nutrition questions in detail. Nick is a fantastic trainer. He takes the fear out of walking into a gym full of machines. He is also very good on the nutrition side. What strikes me most is how good he is a easing you into both exercise and nutrition. He takes things slowly and in small steps. After training for a while, I realized, Hey! I know this stuff!. But it I was never intimidated or overwhelmed.
Our company arranged to have Nick run a boot camp series as part of our wellness initiative. Nick created a program that fit the needs of us a group, and customized parts of the program for individuals that needed something slightly different. While he worked us hard, he also made the experience enjoyable. His workout routines and advice allowed me to adjust the exercises that I had been doing on my own at the gym to yield better results.
Nick put me on a nutrition and workout plan that was really pretty easy to follow. He is very knowledgeable about both nutrition and exercise and is very motivational. Again, the plan didnt seem that difficult and I actually enjoyed the workouts.

I met Nick four years ago, when he came to our agency to conduct some bootcamp workouts. I was so out of shape and was the heaviest I have ever weighed in my life. At first, I didn’t want to do his bootcamp mainly for the fact, I didn’t want to step on the scale to see how much weight I had gained. As it turns out, not only did I love Nick’s bootcamp, but I also participated in his 10 week challenge with the OYO Fitness. Fast forward four years later, with Nick’s help, I am down close to 35lbs and have lost several inches and body fat. I am only 4’11”, so that is a lot of weight for me to lose. I feel so much better and with less weight to carry around, that puts less stress on my knees when I run. I’ll be the first to admit, I’m not good at dieting or sticking with any type of health plan. Nick put together a nutrient plan along with a workout plan that best fit my body type and needs. And when I would hit a plateau, he was very good at providing suggestions as to how to adjust my diet and exercise. I am living a healthier lifestyle, because of Nick’s expertise.
