Awesome. Make you leave your purse in the car. Walk all the way in to be told admission is $15. Get back. Thats cash only. Rude.
An absolute dump. My son played a tournament at the facility this weekend. The roof was leaking so badly, coaches were scattered all over the courts during games trying to clean up the puddles from the floor. Enough kids slipped, smacking their faces and heads on the floor that we had to quit playing.Given It cost our team $400 and $15 per spectator, I’m appalled by the complete neglect of the facility. Where is this money going to if it’s not towards providing a safe place to host your tournament? No one should be making money off of this place. Especially at the expense of children’s health and safety.Oh and the entire building smells awful. It’s clear they are not keeping up with regular cleaning either.
So... I guess were done then...Driving by the Flint location and I see a for sale sign at the end of the driveway. Out of curiosity I drove by the fitness center location and see one of the employees (the general manager) walking out from behind what looks like a moving truck. No for sale sign there yet, but I expect its only a matter of time.Since I havent received any emails since the beginning of COVID, I can only assume that they succumbed to the business killer like so many others. I enjoyed my time there and planned to come back whenever they wouldve opened it back up to the general population. Too bad...
This place is a Dump, needs to be shut down. Unsafe for all who attend this venue.
No COVID update on the website or social media. No one answering the phones. I cannot cancel my contract via 68s, so I will have to block it by my bank.Facility isnt that bad, needs some updating, but the handling of this is inexcusable.
Before COVID-19 I really enjoyed going to the gym. Out of the many different places I’ve lived, it was one of my favorite, plus I am a huge chiefs fan and grew up watching will shields. Keep in mind as I write this review, I also run a business and understand how COVID-19 has impacted the world. Safety is a major concern. My frustration comes in with the lack of communication and miscommunication from the gym. Initially there was a sign in the window saying that it would not be re-opening until a date late in may or early in June (I forget). I got a meal plan ready based off of a new workout I made. I work out on my lunch break so it is inconvenient if I change and show up to the gym only to find out that it is still not opened. No new sign in the window (just the old one dowm), no phone call, email or text message, and nothing posted on the website. Unable to contact anyone at the gym. Frustrated (again, I realize that things are unpredictable at this time and changing daily). I went to the flint location and called as well. Nothing. It was 2pm that day and I thought maybe the hours changed. Google showed the hours to flint at 3pm. I went back the next day, still not open. Called, nothing. Emailed, nothing.I finally tried the physical therapy option and got an answer, even though they are a different company to my understanding. I was told that they had pushed the date back and that it was a likely going to be June 15. Okay... still frustrating but at least I had an answer. June 15 rolls around.... still closed. Now I’m told probably not until July, but they are doing 1 on 1 sessions. I feel I’ve been strung along for a month or two without any communication. I’m to the point I’ll probably switch gyms or build my own. Unfortunately since I really enjoyed this place. I cannot keep putting my health and what I love to the side. It has been unfair to all of us.Sincerely,Gym Member
Great place to workout. I like the fact that batting cages at the Fields facility are included with my membership. The Courts faculty is great with a lot of options to choose from. I recommend 68 Inside Sports.
My family and I were members for a few years, left for a couple, and have been back for a couple months now. Lacey, who does massage, is AMAZING. The Inside Sports Clinic has helped me resolve an ongoing pain issue with my power lifting in just a couple weeks. We have always loved and appreciated the childcare. Our kids are a little older now and still enjoy it. Our oldest child has done the youth training at the warehouse multiple summers, and thats been good. When there are tournaments, things kind of go to hell. Front desk staff sometimes seem like they dont know whats going on around the rest of the facility, and rather than find an answer to your question they just say they dont know. Its not ALL front desk employees though, but Ive encountered it more in the weekends. Cleanliness was an ongoing issue before, but in our return, the facility has been exceptionally well maintained. Any classes I took before, and now, are very good, with variety for everybody.
Amazing place to spend time as a family. There is something for everyone in the family. From a fantastic childcare (love those ladies) to great classes for the adults and teens. All the instructors are very knowledgeable in their field and they make every class fun and unique!! Go check them out!
Im having an issue with my bank and credit card being accessed and my computer hacked. So I am not using my credit cards. I have tried to speak to someone and email them with no response and no help. I cant go in during business hours. Today I received a call from a bill collector. This is be going on a little over the a month and they already did this to me. I liked the gym but will never go there again.
68 sports has been one of my favorite gyms to workout at. You have many different FREE classes to join. All of the staff are absolutely friends and you get to workout next to some BIG names. Excellent value with everything you need!
This Gym is amazing! Has so much stuff to offer along with all the weights and cardio equipment. Free classes, unlimited batting cages, pool, boxing, basketball courts. Theirs just too much to type, everyone should check this place out!!!! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a gym for themselves or a place to practice and play with their kids !!
Been going here for years. Rarely crowded with plenty of options for a well rounded workout. Plus pro bowl Chiefs player Will Shields owns and runs it! Ive seen him there and talked to him there many times. Great guy!
Love this place! No Corporate Fuss! Non-judgmental gym with fabulous members and staff! $48 a month. Pool, Courts, Track, Spin, Boxing, Group Classes included in membership, Racquetball, Weight rooms and more!! If you’re
I really respect Will for the way he answered this. A great deal of my complaints have been addressed. This is a great, family oriented gym with a walking track, three basketball courts, a daycare, a swimming pool, sauna, a jacuzzi, and many more amenities. I like it because the atmosphere is completely different from the new age meat markets like Golds Gym. I have been a member (off and on) since 2007.If youre looking for a family membership this gym is the way to go as I bring my daughter all the time with me.
Been here a year now must say i cant imagine going anywhere else! Daycare is great the kids dont just play they sit and learn the alphabet and make art projects! Makes me feel good to know my kids are working out there brain while I work out my glutes!!!😀😀😀😀
DONT COME HERE, I had a summer pass here and had brought a few friends with me and every time we have gone up the basketball gym is full of camps to where you cant even use them. Then we go to the pool and it was full of kids doing swim lessons. Poor way to run a gym, I paid good money for this and its all for nothing.
Great place. Huge variety of programs and equipment. The Fields are best indoor training facility in the area. Overall 68, cleanliness, service and staff has vastly improved.
You know it all sound nice on paper . The Dude giving us the tour was very nice, things went down hill when we stayed to have the real experience but when we learned you needed to take your own towels because it cost 5 bucks, well thats stupid. My toddler and I ended up getting the the cold and flu! We are in the winter time you could of told us that if we wanted to use the pool to make sure we brought out Towel!
The owner is wonderful and so easy and enjoyable let to talk to and with. The workout classes are also enjoyable.
Its really hard to find a good gym that wont take advantage of you whileyou are going to school and working. Thats why this one is the best. The prices are great, and they dont add any baggage during. I had a hard time going to any gym before - being a pro athlete then getting hurt and gaining weight really makes you feel inadequate. 68 was my last attempt at going somewhere, and they made me feel so welcomed and not judged in the slightest. I already lost alot of the weight and feel stronger then ever. - I am also a big NE fan so I am always on the lookout for the man himself, but I have yet to see him. ---- my only suggestion would be adding some lady products to the pool locker room. Tampons/pads and a spray deoderant/light perfume? Thanks, Kass
The equipment is hand-me-down, really used. Not maintained properly. However, the facility offers a lot, and the price is excellent.
Great selection of classes to choose from for morning and evenings. Top rate yoga instructor on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
Great place where doing hit trax for winter batting practice Mr. Sheilds i purchased a tribute jersey from your flint street 68 sports today my son will love it for his birthday i left it so you could sign it .He feally thinks highly of you hes 10 do you ever come around flint street 68 sports on Wednesdays nights hed love to met you. Thanks for all you do .
My daughter had a futsal game here on the basketball court. It was really frustrating because the court was so dusty that everybody was slipping every step.Im not a member so I dont know about the rest, but the basketball courts really need to be cleaned
I love the staff and the atmosphere, they have a variety of boxing equipment, which is what I look for in a gym . Their track is nice and the classes they offer are awesome
Love This Place, friendly staff, great facilities and options. They have everything you could want in a gym.
These batting cages are terrible. Find somehwere else to go. They use roller machines instead of the machines that have an arm action. The lights that are used to let you know when the ball is coming dont work all the time. And when they do it is inconstantly timed. The ball collector clogs alot. I put 20 bucks on a card and they wouldnt refund me what I didnt use. Find somewhere else to go and dont waste your money
This is a nice place where there are people playing volleyball, basketball, futsal, workout, etc. This is a pretty good place but there are many better.
We went when it was raining best place ever to bat pitch all diffent sports the loved I t
The facility is accommodatin, the fact that theres daycare is a plus! My only real complaint is the parking lot holes, I have damaged a tire and wheel on a couple different occasions.
I was a member for over 5 years until I finally had enough and ended my membership. The staff was not friendly or well trained. They didnt do the simple things like making sure the tvs in front of the cardio equipment were turned on or were on a channel with decent programming. A lot of mornings the members would have to watch childrens cartoons because the staff wouldnt change the channel. If you asked they would be very upset with you and eventually put up signs that said they wouldnt change channels. The trainers monopolize the free weights area for their clients and have no regard for people working out on their own. Multiple times I was asked to move out of the way so their client could use equipment even though I was using it first and properly. The last straw came when I was squatting in a rack and one of their employees came around vacuuming and literally bumped into the bar, as it was on my back and loaded with weight, almost making it fall on me. I racked it and gave the kid a what the hell look but he was oblivious.
Love the basketball gym but customer service isnt really amazing.
This gym could be so much more. My review is for the one off of 87th Pkwy. Cleanliness is non existent in this place. The Mens Locker room is disgusting. Mildew has built up all on the walls in the shower area and it looks to have never been cleaned. Holes are left open from where they have taken out shower heads, that are now rusting. The only two stalls for Men are downstairs in the locker room. Same with urinals. This place is huge. They could have put bathrooms elsewhere in the place. The wall in between the mens stalls has a hole in it from where they removed something off the wall.Although not visible at first since the toilet paper dispenser blocks much of the hole, you can still see through to your neighbors stall. Maybe, just maybe the stalls and urinals are cleaned but certainly not the floor. The lockers are beat to hell and never maintained. As goes for the rest of the facility. The carpet is dirty and never looks clean. The weight room is a bit small. Some of that can be remedied by moving some of the machines out of the free weight room and into another. Most of equipment there is in good shape. Although I think its because the actual gym members take care of it. There is a big crease in the rubber matting thats been that way for more than 6 months. Someone is bound to trip. The free weight area and many other areas look dated. Nothing looks to be kept up. The same goes for the treadmill area. I would hate to come in during the busiest time as there would not be any machines left. The rest of the place looks to be kept up and looks clean. Basketball court, Yoga studio, Kinesis studio, etc.The staff has always been friendly to me and its good to see the same people there all the time. I am low maintenance so ymmv. All in all this place works for me since its close to work, I get a big corporate discount and I can get in early and do heavy compound exercises without worrying about bothering people. If it werent for these I would look elsewhere.I would give this gym a 3 star if they actually cleaned a 4 star if they actually maintained and improved the facility and a 5 if they took care of all the above and added more bathrooms.
This gym is old and outdated. If it wasn’t for the kickboxing I would NOT COME HERE..
Locker room has exposed water heater and electric panels. Poorly ran. Ridiculously overpriced.
Disappointing. Several cages are down, or baseball only. Staff was more concerned about the KU basketball game. They only want to give you a few tokens because other patrons take them home, so multiple trips are required to spend money in their machines.
They were nice and friendly
One of the worst gyms Ive been to across the country.
Staff is friendly and educational.
Clean gym and friendly staff.
Only gym with 3 basketball courts
