My family has really enjoyed our membership at Lifetime since joining. The Gym is fantastic and has everything, I also really enjoy working with my trainer. I switched over to having my hair cut at the spa which was a huge win and super convenient. The child watch facility is great, and the people are extremely nice. My family also really enjoys the pools as well as the nice seating areas available around that pulls to lounge around in. Overall highly suggest this location for sure. Happy members.

Lifetime is a nice gym overall, but it most definitely gets overly crowded. I shouldnt have to get in where I fit in just to workout. It makes the gym experience less enjoyable. After COVID-19 my experience changed drastically.Air condition for spinning classes is above perfection, and the racquetball court is great. In addition, the Lifetime vegan protein is my favorite. One little note, I would appreciate if the functional area could be a little cooler, or with better air circulation, to increase endurance performance. I overheat 100% of the time and have to stop during workouts. Thanks!

If youd asked me before March 2020, what I thought of this Lifetime Location, I wouldve have given it 5 stars. Everything WAS great. Classes, cleanliness, pool, locker rooms & customer service. Then Covid hit and as a healthcare provider I didnt feel comfortable working out in a HEALTH club that wasnt providing social distancing and where 99% of the clientele were unmasked. So they put our membership on-hold and charged us $15/month plus tax except for the brief period they were completely forced to close by the county. Then July 2021 we decided we wanted to start using the outdoor pool, so we rejoined just for that. In order to get to the pool, you must walk down a long hallway and through a locker room to reach it. Covid rates are very high at the local hospital where I work as a critical care nurse and I mask in ALLindoor public spaces and follow the CDC Guidelines. Note: I never a single other member wear a mask besides my parter. So I would wear a mask until I got outside, then remove it. Every time I came to check-in with a mask on, the employees who scan you in, would snicker amongst themselves, clearly making fun of my mask. Pre-covid as I would depart the club, someone would always say have a good day. I never once heard a have a good day when I wore my mask as I exited the club. Then after several phone calls and emails back and forth with Carter about downgrading our membership to a digital one once the pool closed, we had multiple billing errors. So Labor Day weekend I went into the club to make sure I was no longer being charged for an in-person membership and that the Digital Membership that I had requested in writing 30 days prior would begin Sept 1, 2021. I was directed to Carsen and taken back to a small membership office where social distancing isnt possible. So I asked her to put on a mask and she said I dont have one. So I offered to give her a new disposable mask and she said no, Ive been vaccinated. As of the date of this interaction, the CDC Guidelines were for ALL people over the age of 5 to be masked indoors when social distancing wasnt possible. So after her refused, I got upset and started educating her on % of fully vaccinated people who have been hospitalized with Covid. She could have offered to meet with me in the adjacent cafeteria where social distancing was possible, but instead she stood her ground making me feel more and more unsafe for my health. I am in disbelief that a HEALTH CLUB is more interested in giving their employees their person freedoms than they are on customer service and following the CDC HEALTH Covid Guidelines. I am abhorred by how they treated me because I my chose to protect myself!

{Heads up...I am an active member only and have never been employed by or compensated by LifeTime Fitness for my expressed review.}If you are considering membership at Lifetime, I encourage you to take a visit to explore, learn and physically experience the club and all the offered amenities. All ages and exercise levels are part of what makes up the sense of community. Like in life, it may not be a one size fits all, but if you give it a try then you can find out for yourself rather than believing any expressed negative reviews. Keep in mind that most happy consumers are enjoying the club so much that they forget to share it with the world. A bad experience is good to learn about, but it should not keep you and your life from taking a chance. Go try it for yourself!!**Covid-19 health and safety protocols are set in place. Social Distancing and face masks are mandatory in all common areas. All class sizes have been drastically reduced to allow each member to safely participate in a group setting while actively following social distancing. In settings where social distancing measures are enforced, members may choose to remove their masks during exercise. The club does mandate face masks to be worn in all common areas and in any settings where social distancing may not be possible.

There are so many things I like about this place, but also a few disappointments, so I think this will be a balanced review :)I thoroughly enjoy and am e challenged by the attention of my personal trainer, the people in the salon, and every worker here. The locker rooms are very clean and the saunas are fantastic (my favorite is the eucalyptus). The activities for younger kids are engaging and a great incentive for the family to go.That said, the personal training can be very expensive. Its hard for me because I do indeed want to value the excellent work the trainer does, but it really isnt affordable for the training I need. Also, my daughter is 11 and cant join me for anything upstairs, but the childrens center is geared towards children closer to 8 and under. My daughter says the people are nice, but there just isnt anything she can do and she cant bring her tech to occupy herself or do schoolwork (which I understand, because its impossible to monitor those things unless your the parent). To his credit, my trainer brought down some mats and did some sports training for my daughter and I through our last available session, and it was very good for her and so nice of him. I wish they had some classes for the tween/teen ages and could engage them a bit more. Ive not used my membership like my husband does mostly because its so hard to want to go when theres nothing truly worth it for my daughter. Im considering taking myself and my daughter off the membership bc its worth it mostly for my husband and not for the rest of us. There are so many up sides-- good food, great salon srrvices, its clean and comfortable, but I feel Im still wasting money for as little as I actually get from the membership personally.

I do not know the GM, and have no affiliation, but I notice this stuff, and am super impressed with how well run everything is! This is the most expensive gym in the area with monthly fees upwards of $100 per month and they claim that they can’t afford to keep the lights on past 9 pm yet they have enough money to upgrade the gym to a “platinum” club. There is nothing “platinum” about this gym. It is so crowded during peak hours that it is difficult to workout in. I do not suggest paying for this gym unless you utilize the pool area. I joined Lifetime almost a year ago after my previous gym was bought out. I cant say enough good about this place. Its sparkling clean and has equipment that is well maintained and up to date. Even at peak times you still have space to work out in. The locker rooms are spacious and very well maintained. With your membership you have 24 hour access to the sauna, steam room, pool and whirlpool which are all very nice facilities. I love that you receive two guest passes a month to have friends or family try the gym out. You also have opportunity to attend numerous classes that are included in the cost of membership. If you are looking for a gym that treats their clientele like royalty, then join Lifetime. It may be pricier than other gyms in the area but the money is well worth it, given all the amenities you have access to and the towel service. As a former member I would not recommend becoming a member here to anyone, or even going to the pool for that matter. The aquatics manager is easily the most unprofessional person ive ever met. I have seen her sleeping in her office multiple times, pull the photo backdrop in front of her door to avoid people, and bully her staff. The way she treats her staff is absolutely horrific and it explains why there is a high turnover rate and you cant get the same instructor consistently. I had been coming here for 1.5 years and the pool has gone downhill since Kimmer Songer became the manager. I strongly suggest you reevaluate the management in the aquatics department (manager, assistant, supervisors) and their qualifications if you want people to keep coming back. I get much better services at Prairie Life for a lower price.

NO STAFF WEARS masks!! They opened earlier this month in June 2020 -covid 19. On the website, and on the email that we received prior to open, they advertise how everyone on the staff will wear masks. Not true, I literally saw no on wears masks. I guess if you wanna call wearing a mask around the bottom of your neck wearing a mask, then so be it. Even the customers do not wear masks so I guess it’s all good. I saw one trainer helping a client do Bench press. Where the trainer was literally over him spotting him do a press and they both were not wearing a mask. And yes the trainer was talking and encouraging his client as he was struggling.

Br
Review №57

They refuse to protect the health and safety of their members. The team at this location are COVID deniers and refuse to enforce mask usage among their staff or members. Trainers walk around with no masks on and when it was brought to the attention of the manager they did nothing even with pictures of this occurring. I had a trainer get in my face with no mask or social distancing and when told to get the f away I was banned for using the f word. I think that says everything about this gym. Ban you for the f word but will not enforce CDC guidelines to protect their members and families even after we cross the 200,000 death mark for COVID.

Please dont join this club. The fitness areas are gorgeous. The pools are great, when they are not closed for service, and the meat heads are great to look at... but when you attempt to cancel your membership in order to move, they claim that you have to provide them 30 day notice in writing. They refuse to set up email, fax, or any online measures you can take to cancel membership. I explained this to the staff, who told me that this is their policy for security reasons and that I needed to either show up in person to cancel or mail them a signed letter asking to cancel my membership. They refused to email me whatever form they want me to sign so I could print, sign, and scan back. That mechanism, but the way, is exactly how my lawyers have me sign actual legal documents. Listen, folks at Lifetime, Ive signed leases, legal documents, etc ONLINE for the last 10 years. This is an absolute bs policy designed to make it as hard as possible to stop your monthly auto-payments. Join the rest of the universe, learn about reasonable policies and appropriate customer service, or continue to receive bad reviews about your outdated and unreasonable policies. This is absurd.

This is being greedy and also taking advantage of poeple during COVID.Supposed to be a 24 hour facility and now they are blaming covid that they cant stay open past 10pm. They also try to talk you into placing account on hold and not cancel. This club always has areas and equipment in need of repairs and isn’t worth the cost that continues to rise. The sign up process was fantastic and I am very happy with how clean and modern the equipment, locker rooms, etc. are. I took advantage of my free meetings with a trainer. They have really created stickiness by not giving me a cookie cutter meeting like all of the other places I have tried who also offer free training when you join. Ian Allen is my trainer and he has been fantastic with personalized information and recommendations for me. He suggested that I use my remaining sessions to do Pilates sessions which is a game changer for me. I belong to the LT in Omaha and frequent this one 4-5 times a month since I am down for work. I go from 4:30-6:30 a.m. The staff is friendly and there is plenty of room/equipment to workout on. I always get breakfast to go and the food is good. Clean and well kept. Ive been coming here several years.

Love this gym! I drive from the Missouri-side just to go here because of the great kids center and the quality of the equipment. Good luck getting a squat/deadlift rack during peak hours at most gyms, but here I usually can. High quality equipment & friendly staff. Kiersten, who sold us our membership, gives my kids hugs every time we see her. She goes above and beyond!

I was member of Life Time Fitness Overland Park Kansas last year till August/September 2018 and I cancelled my membership initially as I was moving out of Kansas. I did fill up the form to cancel membership. Later, as I have been told by the staff that I kept my membership on hold. I had phone conversation with them to keep my membership on hold and I called them and asked them to cancel my membership again. But it seems my membership never got cancelled and they were charging me $16.37 from last six months and I came to know that just last month. On the top of that they also charged me around $96.87 by reinstating my membership at the end of May without even asking me. At that moment I came to know that they are charging me hold fees from last six months. So even after discussing this matter with them they said I have to still provide one month notice to cancel my membership which is on hold and they again charged me holding fees on 1st June. This is horrible! Be careful while dealing with them for membership cancellations. This is one of worst experience!

Lifetime is unfortunately the most viable option in the area. Classes are usually way over capacity. Kids area isnt kept clean enough and kiddos get sick anytime I take them. Staff isnt very responsive to complaints or requests. But they sure as heck jump on the opportunity to sell you stuff! On a positive note- the weight areas are cleaner than most area gyms The weights area has ample options. Its location is great. Thats why I keep going there. Bang for the buck however is mediocre.
