This is one of the best locations I’ve been to. The staff is friendly, and seem happy to see you. The building is very clean. The locker room, and massage area plays nice tranquil music to help you relax. The machines are new. The new trainer Dwayne is very knowledgeable. He has helped me with my hip problem. My goal was to lose weight, and after two weeks, four days each, he has helped me lose 6 pounds. Having assistance from the trainer is free. I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t use it. Again Dwayne will not pressure you, or judge you for what you can’t accomplish. He will make a program you can accomplish. Go give em a try!

The gym was very clean and easy to move around in. There are tons of machines and something for everyone to do. There are plenty of cleaning stations making it easy to clean your equipment after you use it. The PF app is amazing! I love how it shows how to do the exercises correctly. I havent had a chance to explore the tanning or massage chairs yet but Im sure they will also be great.

Very clean gym with friendly staff who gave me a tour as a new member. Each machine has a code you can scan so you can see how to use it. The massage chairs were amazing after my workout.

Its a facility with a simple premise: working out with no judgement. The people working there are direct and to the point, the access to the machines and different areas are easy. Its in and out with relative ease.And zero judgement.

Extremely spacious and friendly gym. Cheap membership that includes tanning beds, massage chairs, and hydro lounge massage beds! They are constantly cleaning and disinfecting the equipment!

Absolutely love this location. My boyfriend works out here almost daily and I go with him when I can. Great atmosphere and the staff is top-notch! They are always eager to help you and never have a bad attitude. Makes for a great place to be!

Clean, clean, clean. Very knowledgeable gentleman at check in walked us through the changes since this was our first time back since COVID. Basically masks are required when not actively working and clean equipment after using it. Some treadmills have clear plastic dividers. Locker rooms appeared to be open with reminders posted to keep distance.

I love PF! Its super clean, friendly and welcoming. Ive not had any issues with this location.Except...I dislike the parking lot. There are not enough parking spaces close to the gym and there is a shrub that makes it extremely difficult to see if anyone is coming up from Best Buy. Theres going to be an accident there one day if there hasnt already been one.

I was verbally assaulted and threatened by some crazy women and the police were called and charges pressed. However the gym did not take any actions at all, Not even a call back from the manager. I will not go to a gym where they do not keep their members safe. Had I not called the police this would of turned physical and planet fitness refused to do anything. I would never use this location. They dont care aboutsafetyof their members.I would recommend a different location!

For the limited space they have done a great job keeping people safe. After work (5:30pm - 8:30pm) is a pretty busy time but people are able to get a full workout with patience. I am easing back into my regiment so I didnt do a full work out but I plan on getting that ready and prepared.

GREAT communication first 2-3 months of COVID about a year later no communication still closing at 7PM on the weekend while there are other gyms on the KS side back to 24 hours again.Able to put all our memberships on hold for a few months when closed but still charging full price for being open half the day is wild really.

As a senior citizen I find PF a great way to stay fit without pressure to be at a “level” of much younger patrons.

Always clean, lots of variety......perfect for me and what I want in a workout facility.

Had a membership for years, walked out yesterday and cancelled. I brought up concerns about covid protocol on the circuit for the 2nd time and staff told me they couldnt do anything about it. The area has turned into a free for all and staff said they do not have to police that area because they tell people what to do during their initial tour. Previous staff members (these are all new AGAIN) would check the area periodically and I witnessed them cleaning as well. Current staff doesnt care, reflects on the company poorly. With the employee turnover rate here I doubt anything will ever be consistent.

This is my first time being a part of a franchise so I was under the impression the PF look the same and I was wrong. My home gym is huge in comparison to some I have visited and I love that. I dont know if others are bigger than mine. I love my Shawnee based PF

I always feel great here due to the atmosphere and people.

Lockers are all zip tied, no storage besides the tiny lockers outside of the locker rooms. So forget the showers, or storing much belongings.Recumbent machines have ridiculous foot straps that I, a rock climber with strong hands can barely even adjust.Customers that go here have little respect of wiping their machines or free weights down but, that was the same at lifetime fitness as well. Don’t use anything you can’t properly wipe down and don’t use anything before you wipe it down yourself.I’ve had friends raise concerns to their management and nothing is changing so please don’t contact me or tell me to do the same planet. Let me just do me and you do you.Stay safe.“Megan Daniel” and “Paul Herman” in previous reviews are right on the money with this place.

Staff is always great!!, franchise owner not so much. This location has fractional Covid Hours and used to be 24 hour location.We were members of this location and changed to 135th st which maintains 24hr options.24 hour service would provide better social distancing options. Seems like common sense and they didnt cure rates for less hours!!

Idk the place is great and staff is friendly, people working out just don’t wear masks when working out and that makes me very uncomfortable. I know it’s not easy, but it is possible and I think people are too close to each other.Also people don’t wear masks when moving between workout equipment. I don’t think this place is safe right now.

The problem with most Planet Fitnesses is most of their members have NO concept of gym etiquette, and just sit on machines texting etc between sets, not caring if anyone else wants to do a set. The other day, I literally waited THIRTY MINUTES for someone to get off a machine before I finally said something, because she was spending more time TEXTING between sets than she was actually using it. PF needs to put signs up THAT PEOPLE CAN SEE, reminding them to get off the machines between sets so others can work out too. I worked out in one that had such signs all over the gym, and the members complied. Without it, If youre someone who has a set routine, you CANNOT go when its busy, because everywhere you look, youll see people sitting on the equipment jacking with their phones.

In order to cancel my membership I must physically go into the fitness center and risk COVID exposure. Add to this that they are no longer a 24 hour facility, which I was paying for 24 hour access, and it is easy to see how they have earned a 1 star review.

Smaller location than ones I usually visit. But the staff is superb and they keep a small space really clean for those of us coming out during the pandemic.

Great place but sometimes can be so packed you have to wait for a machine.

I love you! Please go back to 24 hours. Only time that works with a young family. I know a few other people that want 24 hours. Let us know why maybe?

Denise was amazing! She helped me through my difficulties especially during this hard time and my current life situations! She was understanding and patient with me and allowed me to share my story with no judgment! The gym was clean and very respectful! I HIGHLY recommend them!

I have had a gym membership for 5 years through planet fitness. “The customer is always right mindset” did not apply here. The worst customer service I have ever had. I thought my account got canceled a few months back but to my dismay I was still being charged. I called to talk to the manager about it because I just got charged yesterday and she claimed there was nothing she could do but cancel my account and claim the 100 dollars they took since July. She was condescending and constantly interrupted me when trying to speak. Not to mention the new olathe location is much better when it comes to clean equipment and kind employees. I will not be bringing my business back to this gym again.

They’ve lost their minds. There is a new manager at this location that severely lacks common sense. While they allow people to exercise on their equipment they’ve now made the decision to zip tie their lockers shut. I am all for precautions but if you’re worried about infection control, maybe try cleaning the door handle we all use rather than worrying about a locker that may or may not get used. I immediately cancelled my membership.

Not too shabby. Its a fourth the size I have in STL, but has just as many goodies. Its Sunday A.M. and of course there was no waiting. Thank you to the staff, its a nice club.

This location is definitely smaller than others in the area, which makes it often crowded. However, it is centrally located and so well-kept that I honestly don’t mind! It has a great selection of equipment and the layout is easy to navigate.

Every employee at this location is GREAT, they are all very courteous & helpful. Ive been to other near by locations and they definitely do not come close to being as friendly or helpful as the staff at the 95th Street location. The only thing I would change about this location is to have a stricter policy on everyone wiping down the machines & mats after they are finished with them.

The staff here are all amazing! Love this location. It is small but I typically do not have to wait for long to use a specific machine.

There was an employee that made a mistake when cancelling my membership so it cost me a few more months and they were unwilling to make amends for that. The building and equipment at most planet fitness that Ive been to are great though.

Stop in while visiting family over the holiday and I couldnt have asked for a better experience. Staff was super friendly and helpful, which made my experience great. I took a buddy with me as well one day and was able to do everything as if this was my home gym. I LL stop in again when in town for holidays because this location has great staff, better equipment than my home gym in Chicago and a great facility.

BEWARE: They charge you $58 to cancel your membership. And they didn’t disclose that ahead of time. Read the fine print. Will never join again.

The 95th and Quivira location is amazing. The staff is always so friendly, they always make sure to tell you good morning when you get there and to have a good day when youre leaving, and they are always happy to answer any questions you might have. The gym is always clean and stocked.

You cant beat a gym like this. This price is amazing and the place is clean. They have some policies I dont agree with which is the only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars.

I really like this particular location. Its fairly large and has a lot of the popular equipment (elliptical, treadmill, ARC) and a variety of strength training options and free weights. Some people dont like Planet Fitness, but its amazing if you want a gym membership on a budget. I have the Black Card membership which allows you to use the massage/tanning beds as well.

I have been to a decent number of gyms in my day, and Ive noticed two big things among them all, they are super expensive and once you are signed up, the employees quit caring. This is not the experience Ive had at Planet Fitness. I go to the gym between 5 and 7 days a week, and no matter whos working I always feel welcome. Going to this Planet Fitness has shown me that not all gyms are equal, and that I will continue going here for a long time.

I had to cancel my membership because I moved. The representative was friendly and polite. No hassle. I appreciate service like that.

I’ve belonged to a lot of gyms but Planet Fitness is the first one I’ve felt comfortable at. I love it. Because I have felt so comfortable I’ve been able to lose 83 pounds so far! Their staff is amazing too!

I love seeing the same girl at the desk every day! She is definitely loyal and devoted! It’s always clean and everyone that works there is friendly!

I have been trying to cancel my membership, because I moved and Ive had a bad injury to my neck, requiring surgery. The employees at the club, including Megan and manager, Tina is are being very rude, indifferent and uncooperative. I have reported the matter to my bank and Im securing a lawyer to deal with it. I never was able to use the club, I was intimidated and threatened at the club upon the first visit when I went to get my card. My husband never went at all. The behavior of the people working there is appalling. Today I called, first Megan answered, did not bother to check on my account, she just told me that Id have to come in. Im currently disabled and cant come in. I asked for the manager and Tina who is the manager kept me on hold for 8 minutes and then hung up the phone. I called back and she responded in a curt hateful tone throughout the conversation with her. She did say that I did not have to have a reason to cancel but also stated that Id have to come in to cancel. I asked how I could get on contact with corporate and she told me that there was an email on the website. That also turned out to be a lie, theres no email. I then tried to chat with you on messanger, and you have refused to respond to me.

For a very basic gym it’s perfect. Has all the basics, very clean at this location, and a friendly staff. No complaints over here

Great place to workout, I can always get on the equipment I need or never long to take my turn. Staff is friendly, the facility is clean, the amenities for being a black member really facilitate my travel schedule as well. All for $20ish a month.

Very nice. Its been awhile since Ive visited a PF (I travel a lot) and went there with a local friend. I always felt PF lacked enough free weights, machines, etc to get a full body lift. This particular facility is well-equipped whether your focus is cardio or weight lifting.

Professional staff and neat environment

I love this gym, it is well priced and has a lot of perks. They also have free training classes and the trainer does a great job at adjusting workouts to fit your personal strength and fitness requirements!

Super clean and friendly environment. Ive made friends there with both staff and members. Other than the occasional person not wiping down after use, the place is very clean and I feel like I see staff cleaning it contently. And for the price you cant beat it. I wish the scale was a better one but thats not a deal breaker.

The tvs were blue. The screens had a blue tint. The music was low and was not upbeat workout music. The machines are not the new updated machines The staff was indifferent, not pleasant. I travel for work and this is the first location where I experienced poor service. The parking lot is poorly lit

A good variety of machines but some spaces are reserved to VIP payers only. Thy lack a big space with independent weights to train as you wish. An american bank account is required to become a member. Kinda sucks for visitors from outer country like interns or regular tourists. No way they will let you train without an american bank account, even advanced payments with credit cards were not accepted. There is no free try out training and a 24h entry costs 10$.

This place was good. The lawrence location is better if you dont want to stare at weight lifters. 135th is better if you like the jogging track.

Good mix of older and younger, fit and working to get there. Plenty of equipment no waiting or feeling crowded.

I love this location because of their people. At this location everyone smiles and greets you. Asks if you have questions or need help. Ive had alot of problems with other locations being rude. I give them five stars and want to thank the manager for creating a positive environment to walk into.

Trucker friendly!!! Thank you for letting us long haulers park and workout. Helps release the stress from a long day. And keeping fit, even a trucker needs a spot. I come at night so I wont be in the way. Friendly folks. Very clean. I will be back when Im in the KC area.

This gym is fantastic. They really do make you feel welcome and are friendly! The gym is very clean and i always see the staff refilling sanitizing stations and sweeping and cleaning. I have not had to wait for use of any equipment yet,which is great because usually Im on a tight schedule and need to get in and get out.I bought this membership on a whim because it was so affordable. And im happy i did! Child care would be SO awesome. But i understand their goal is to keep prices low, so Ill take what I can get! Highly recommend this gym to beginners or advanced levels.

Clean and well-maintained gym. Tons of cardio equipment. The free weight area could be a bit larger, but it has adequate dumbbells for my needs. Friendly staff.

Its a new spot, so all the equipment and interior feels fresh and clean. Bright and open space. Definitely seems worth a low monthly cost

I am an elliptical user so I appreciate how many they have so I am never having to wait for a machine. Also great air flow with the large fans.

Its a good gym, but be aware that $10 a month is about as honest as you can expect from a gym. Including the annual fee and sign up fee it is about twice that if they would be honest.That said, its an ok price. I just loathe the lack of transparency in their advertising.
