I normally dont write reviews, but I felt Nora deserved one. I lived here for about 8 months and the only reason I left was because I had to move across the country.Coming from a standard wood framed apartment with awful neighbors, the concrete construction was like a dream. The only time I ever heard my neighbor was when his dog barked right next to the wall when he would leave. Other than that, not a single sound. Even outside noises are greatly reduced. The train, which was my biggest anxiety moving in, never bothered me and Im a pretty light sleeper. City Pub will also blast music on weekends during the day, but as long as youre not right above it, its fine.Nora also deserves praise for management. Sara is wonderful to work with. She answers emails very quickly whereas Ive been in other apartments that will never reply to an email. Sara would answer all my questions, and made moving out a breeze. I even got my security deposit back in an extremely timely manner, which was a surprise since most other places will find silly reasons to keep it.For amenities, I didnt use them too much, but they were fine for my needs. The gym would only have a few people in it at a time, and the pool was usually pretty empty in the evenings, so I could swim laps in peace.Overall, I enjoyed my time here and probably would have renewed if I stayed in Florida. It was a great price for downtown, has wonderful construction, and attentive leasing staff. Cant really beat that.
I wish I could rate this place higher but guest parking is a nightmare. I’m in a relationship and my partner can rarely come over because there are only 10 guest spots. I was told when touring that they’re never out of guest spots, but in the 2 months I’ve been here, they’re claimed almost every weekend. Had they been honest about how difficult it was to have guests when I asked, I wouldn’t have signed a lease here so I’m very frustrated. There are other apartment buildings on orange avenue who will actually work with you to address overnight guests so you don’t have this problem. The only solution I’ve been offered is to use the limited street parking which is also always taken in the evenings. I wish they would work more with you when you have an overnight guest but I have not been offered a solution. It’s very disappointing and I’m not happy.
I have called for days with no avail. I keep getting the mailbox and truly it’s frustrating trying to get in touch with the leasing office to receive more information. It is already difficult apartment hunting while being located up North. I was recently in the Orlando area specifically for apartment shopping and could not get anyone on the line to hopefully stop by and tour. Feels quite hopeless at this point.
I have lived here for over a year and it has been damn near perfect for me. I am a very picky person too, so I dont understand the many negative reviews I have seen. For the price, you cant get much better than here.
I’ve been living here for about a year now and so far it’s been pretty good. However, I do feel obligated to share my lease renewal experience for anyone who is considering moving here. I moved in towards the end of 2020 when prices were discounted due to covid. When I signed my lease I was informed by the leasing agent that according to corporate, rent prices would not exceed a 2%-4% increase for the following year. Last week I received an email informing me that it is time to renew my lease and was shocked to find that my rent is increasing 20%. Yes, you read that right, 20% (almost $300)! I spoke to the leasing agent about it and he was also not happy about the new pricing but said he had no say in the matter. He told me that corporate decided to revert back to “market value” / pre covid pricing and that there was nothing we could do about it. I’m understanding of the fact that businesses need to start making money back and over time I do agree that prices should be leveling back out but the way they are going about it is completely unethical. Also, a week before this happened, an email was sent out to all residents informing us that covid policies are back in place meaning that maintenance will only respond to emergency work orders and guests are no longer permitted in the common areas. To clarify, I am not against these restrictions but how is it fair to go back to pre covid prices when we are still living under covid restrictions? I really did love this place until now and wish they cared more for their residents. For reference I live in a 1 bedroom apartment, was paying ~$1400/month and now pay ~$1700/month. I hope this review helps anyone who is considering signing here.
Been living here since August 2020, and the experience has been nothing but pleasurable. Move in day was a bit hectic, but that was largely due to an employee who rightfully does not work there anymore. I live on the second floor and face Marks St, my apt gets pretty good light but not enough to keep plants or flowers, but Im not home enough to even try. The only downside about living on the second floor is that I am 100% certain that people walking by can 100% see in, but if you dont care then it doesnt matter. The staff is always friendly and they always help right away. I once had my parking sensor replaced because it stopped working and they just replaced it without haggling me about paying some sort of fee. I really enjoy living here and the location is perfect.
One of the worst downtown experiences I’ve ever had.Assistant manager Sara is completely unprofessional - apartment garage was broken into atleast 7 times in a year.Electric car station damaged my car - assistant apartment manager challenged my invoice from Tesla. Not even an apology. Also have verbal notice to leave - again completely ignored and pretended like it never happened.Roach infested hallways .. completely ignores emails and micro aggressively answers with minimal commentsWe moved out and payed $200 for professional cleaners only for Nora to charge us again. When asked why I was completely ignored and asked to send money order with no explanationOverall just extremely passive aggressive and rude.
Would of been a great place to live, I think. I have bad credit. They were on a bad credit list, that was a lie. Spent nearly $400 on app and admin fee for me to be told I was denied and wasnt getting any of my money back. Just wow.
I just moved to nora two months ago and experience have been really good, staff is nice and they assist you in everything they can to make experience even greater. Building and areas are 5 stars all is clean and nice pool view. Definitely living here is amazing.
Ive been living here for almost a year now and absolutely love it! Apartment has plenty of natural light coming in. Pool and Bbq area are great. Location is great too.
Sara loves serving some fees also if you have a dog it’s not allowed to make ANY noise at all or she will try to evict you :/ they advertise that all of their apartments are “sound resistant” according to their website but i’m not sure why i didn’t get one of those units
Home for the past 3 years! Every year we look to see what else is out there and keep coming back to this building! You can’t beat the quality of the apartments, I’ve never heard my neighbors! The staff including Caitlin, Jenny and Dimitri are just amazing, truest world class hospitality and professionalism! Don’t look anywhere else, grab a drink and head to the pool. Welcome to downtown!
I could not be happier with my choice to live here at Nora! I love the city & wanted to be right on Orange. I moved here in August 2020. The view is awesome, the city sounds are relaxing, not obnoxious. The businesses below also don’t stay loud throughout the night, which is awesome because I have a toddler. I have lived in every part of Orlando (most recently Oviedo) and this is, believe it or not, the quietest place I’ve lived in regards to noise that you would not expect/want. The newer construction is great at limiting noise, even being downtown! Our pool area is gorgeous - there are grills, a fire “pit”, game tables, and more. The lounge is great for studying & business; it also has a pool table. The maintenance staff is awesome, as well. They respond in a timely manner and are friendly when they are out and about. Our halls are steam-cleaned very frequently, which shows you that they do care about keeping the community clean (and safe, if that’s something you’re taking into consideration). Sara ALWAYS responds to my emails so quickly and welcomes feedback. The gate has worked 100% of the time I’ve been here, and that’s an accomplishment when I consider the other places I have lived. Lol.Full disclosure: one thing that I get irritated at is people leaving their trash on the ground in the parking garage. You get those people everywhere, but the staff keeps it all cleaned up really well (even though they shouldn’t have to). Other than that, I have not experienced anything negative about living here.
Beautiful apartments! Great location! maintenance and Sara in the office so helpful.
Amazing place to live. Really close to the downtown, really flexible moving in and out, nice gym, clean pool and quiet place to be....
I’ve lived here for several years now and it’s been really nice. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly whenever we need something. The apartments are spacious and the big windows bring in lots of natural light. Concrete floors and walls make it super quiet. Only a 15min walk to downtown and down the road from Ivanhoe and Mills50, it’s a perfect area to live. Especially with all the other amenities. Highly recommend!
I moved into Nora in June and absolutely love this place. The staff has been so friendly and my unit is awesome. I am able to park on the floor I live on which is so convenient and my neighbors are friendly. I also have never heard any of my neighbors because the building is so well built. Great location and close to everything. Excited to finish my lease here.
Room for Improvement but things are getting done.I’ve really enjoyed living here these past 3 months. I will admit there’s some shortcomings in terms of maintenance of the common areas and cleanliness so those issues are in need of improvement but the staff has been great and our apartment itself is exceptional. The apartments have high quality finishings and the structure is sound, you barely hear anything outside of your unit. The windows are large and we’re lucky to have stunning sunset views in all rooms. The pool is beautiful and well maintained. I do wish we had a saltwater (saline) pool which is much better on the skin and hair. The cafe that’s connected to the building is the best coffee in town with great staff and plenty of seating. The gym could use some love although the Peleton bikes make up for it. Wish the workout mirrors worked and that there was a bench press / butterfly machine.Moving and looking for a place was very stressful and challenging in Orlando but I believe we made the best choice in NORA. I look forward to a great year and more progress with the upkeep of the place! Highly recommend this place for those looking for an upscale, mid priced place to live.
Location is awesome, and the Maintanence guys are top of the line. Very friendly staff ! Love this place
Best place to stay downtown. Great staff and you definitely get what you’re paying for.
By far it’s the best place I’ve ever lived and I’m older than you. I live towards the end of one of the hallways and I NEVER hear a thing and I hardly ever see anyone. Because of the cement infrastructure it’s the quietest apartment you will ever find without going to a condominium. It’s clean, modern (feels European) and beautiful. Yes there was an incident with a few cars and if it was your car I understand your anger. I think security cameras that monitor the garage would help find blind spots. They probably should do that. The only negative and it’s a small one is the water pressure is weak. Everybody loves a hard streaming shower and you just don’t get it. Other than that the staff is responsive and very courteous and the downtown location is perfect. Believe me - it’s a great place to live.
I been living in Nora for couple of years. It is an AWESOME PLACE!!!! it is well maintained and well managed. Any requests for service get done on the same day. The staff are friendly and respectful. Im loving it.
I would Not recommend Nora apartments to anyone. You should have not kicking out Tony and Meatball with 24hr notice after he has lived in your establishment for 6yrs and have paid you over $100,000 in rent during that time. Especially with whats going on with your state. To not take ownership to what yall shamefully did(or apologize Tony & Meatball) and then to come back with with a poor BS offer. Shame on you all. I hope someone with legal pull will start looking into this apartment complex #karma2020 #Justice4TeamMeatball
Ive enjoyed the building. Its well maintained, clean and modern. I like the windows especially and the lack of sound from outside.I wanted to more so review the staff. From the property Manager Jennifer, to the Assistant Property Manager Sara - even down to my Leasing Agent, Jonathan. Every single member of the staff has been stellar in responding to me. I had to move my unit several times and I went back and forth with pricing and dates and questions. Not once did anyone make me feel like they were annoyed with my questions. On the contrary, I received nothing but helpful feedback and a very friendly intent to assist me. Every single member made the process easier for me. Sara filled in for the days Jonathan had off. I had to come by and look at two separate units before deciding on which to go with and I expressed my concerns with the COVID environment. She took the time to open each unit up for me prior to my arrival so I could view them while also respecting the social distance. Jennifer approved my application quickly and responded with a fantastic attitude. I had to change my date from the 17th to the 1st and I had about 12 hours to move and she made it all possible by giving me clear instructions on how to get everything moving.I am not certain as to what company manages Nora, but I would like for them to know that they have a wonderful staff here. I even called a few times for service requests and spoke with a new member - Lewis - and he had the same welcoming attitude.Thank you all, so very much for making my moving process a smooth and seamless one. I will recommend you to anyone looking into the downtown area.
Amazing place to live at. The inside of the apartments are amazing. This apartment is away from the downtown area. It is located in North Quarter. There are only a few apartments in the area. This apartment actually has fans in the room and lights.
This place might look okay on pictures but it is not all that great. If you apply here and do not get approved for any reason they will keep all of your money. DO NOT APPLY HERE! There are better apartments close to this location in the downtown area that demonstrates professionalism and provide better quality apartments.
This is an amazing apartment complex just north of the heart of downtown Orlando. If you are looking for a place with ease of access to downtown but desire quieter immediate surroundings, Nora should be your top choice. The apartments are modern with plenty of natural sunlight, a secure garage, and luxurious amenities. The only reason I do not give Nora 5 stars is because one of their current leading teammates has an attitude that is apparent when engaging in conversations where you are requesting additional information. As an example, we recently had a phone conversation where she maintained a condescending tone of voice when asked about an account statement. Should the teammate have approached the conversation with more patience, understanding, and compassion, I most likely would be writing a different review. Katelyn, on the other hand, is always pleasant to work with and consistently greets you with a smile on her face. As someone who works within customer service, it is an organization’s culture and dedication to service recovery that I hold to the highest of standards. While Katelyn holds qualities of compassion and kindness, I find that this other teammate lacks to fit within that same culture (I have purposely chosen to leave her name out of this public comment). Ultimately, I believe after some training, their team can provide quality service, bringing Nora to a 5 star choice when considering your next apartment complex in Orlando!
I enjoy living at Nora because of the great location and super awesome staff - they go above and beyond to assist me during the pandemic ! Strongly recommend If you look for a new home in downtown!

This place has no security at all. If your car gets stolen or broken into, they say oh well. And let me tell you, it happens quite a bit. They do nothing to help you at all. The apartments are nice, but not worth your car insurance going up every couple of months because of having to make insurance claims.
The Good:Modern, simple, clean. Nice residents and staff usually. The pool/fire pit are great. Nice location. Beautiful views from top floor with largest unit. The Bad:Were both early career doctors and this is not a good place for professionals who need good uninterrupted sleep. Looks pretty but quality is poor: windows leaked multiple times into our apartment; closet rack collapsed 3 times within first 2 months of move in; gym AC was not functional (set to 73 and was always 76-78 degrees); walls are thin; neighbor frequently played loud music at 4:00 AM; other neighbor frequently smoked pot that infused the hallway and our apartment with skunk odor: said neighbor had shady people going in/out of unit who were clearly not residents (likely drug dealing since I walked out and was extremely startled by a cop ready to bust into his unit with gun drawn...); young woman across the street was murdered by the security guard on duty; both of our cars were broken into/stolen from in the parking garage; party scene - went to pool and there was vomit all over the lounge chairs; worst of all was the train noise at 2/4:00 am. Never was told about this. Train noise is pleasant except when youre across the street from the tracks and when youre fast asleep it wakes you up with your heart racing because it sounds like the train is running THROUGH the apartment. No exaggeration is is THAT loud because of the way it echos with the location of the high rise. The chronic sleep deprivation was affecting our health which is why we terminated our lease early. The property manager Rich from CDC said that they wouldnt let us out of the lease early despite the health impact. He also said they wouldnt report tenants to collections agencies. The did report it and we just discovered our credit score was dropped from over 800 to mid 600s.The Verdict:Sleeping peacefully in new home.
Caitlin Barry is awesome !!! My friend is moving in here and she gave the best tour there was in apartment search history. Hands down she should be the GM of this place!!! Love love love her, planning on moving myself so looking forward in getting with her to help me find a place too soon! :)
I have been a resident at NORA since 2016 and have really enjoyed living here . Although this is a very pet friendly building, I have not seen nor had any issues as stated in other reviews. I find staff to be very friendly, helpful and professional. Location is great being just north of downtown, east of College Park and south of Ivanhoe Village. Also, access to I-4 is very convenient. The building amenities are very nice and access to new shops on first floor (Farmacy, Credo, Pop Parlour) through the common lounge is awesome. Definitely worth visiting the property and taking a tour with Melina/ Kat.
Went in today apartment shopping. Fell in love with the property and our hostess Caitlin Barry. She was so helpful in explaining everything to us about the apartment and the owner. I felt really at home. Caitlin you are great and I look forward to seeing you in December . It’s LIT 🙌
Beware- Unresponsive and Unprofessional! As I recently applied for a new apartment in Florida, I was shocked to learn that the new apartment complex told me that I owed money to Nora. I lived in Nora 3 years ago and had broken my lease due to work relocation and paid the break lease fee. Upon moving out, I was told that I had paid everything. Fast forward to today, I have not once been contacted by Nora saying I owe them money(OVER THE PAST 3 YEARS). I have not changed my number or email at all and have forwarded my mail to every new apartment I’ve lived in. At first, I left Nora multiple voicemails and they did not get back to me. Then I spoke with a leasing consultant and was told I would hear an answer by Tuesday night. Fast forward to Thursday- nothing. Meanwhile, my new apartment complex will not let me move in!!! I finally hear back saying that it is not an error. Ok then, I call Friday and try to pay it so I can move into my new place, and they refuse to call me back. They have no decency to understand that this is delaying my move in to my new apartment. BEWARE that surprise charges may pop up and then the leasing office will not be responsive. Definitely not the service you expect from a luxury apartment complex.
I scheduled an appointment yesterday to meet with someone from the leasing office and view apartments. I arrived and was told the person I was scheduled to meet with had left early for the evening- and that no one had keys to show me the units.I understand that things come up, but it would have been nice to have been notified of this before I left work early and fought I-4 traffic for nothing. Very unprofessional staff. If this is any indication of how I would be treated as a resident, I will pass on this place.
*Wonderful* staff all around whether it is the leasing agents or maintenance professionals, they are always kind and helpful. Nora is kept clean, quiet and hosts a friendly environment for their residents. North Quarter is building up to be a really great location in the downtown area!
NOT SAFE! CARS BROKEN INTO AND PACKAGES STOLEN!! The management team is not willing to assist anyone in regards to security issues and conduct themselves in a unprofessional manor. (Jenny & Sheryl) the property itself is nice and location is great. bums frequently are walking in the garage at night like zombies with no security on premises. With the price of what tenants are paying I would expect better customer service and security.
Moving in February and the experience has been top notch so far. Cheryl and the Nora family have been superb every step of the way.
Im moving in this May and Caitlin is the best there is! she helped me through the whole process and made moving here an easy decision!
Great quality building. Interior features are some of the best downtown. The pool is very welcoming and relaxing. There is a coffee shop connected to the building which is a plus! The management is very friendly and they keep the community clean.
I have lived here since October, no real complaints. I wish they had a package delivery room that has late access is all.
Nice place to live the staff besides Caitlyn and another gentleman is terrible Jen maybe is her name extremely rude to the residents I believe she’s the manager actually 100 percent agree with other reviews she was unprofessional at the upmost Caitlyn is the best though employee of the month 10/10
Lived here for close to a year. At first they had wonderful managers, including Nadine. Rooms were nice, management was available and helpful, everything was fine. Then a few months in the owners decide to fire everyone and have them replaced with inept individuals. The new Personalities turned sour, and everything went downhill. They removed guest parking and started charging $2 an hour, everyone on the first floor began to get their cars stolen or broken into. My buddy who lived there had his motorcycle stolen even with there being a gate, my bicycle was stolen later on as well. My guests car was completely looted one night he stayed over and parked in guests. We constantly received letters saying they were beefing up security with a community officer! Never saw the guy. There is no security here. At all. Heck the security guy across the street at the apartment there followed a woman home and murdered her in her apparat meant. Walking your dog is pretty much always met with an estranged homeless man harassing you or your significant other. Theres always dog piss in the elevator, people dont take their trash all the way to the shoot and leave it by the door. Save yourself $2000 a month and go elsewhere.
Been living here for almost 8 months. Its not a bad place and I havent had anything stolen from my car yet. The gate to the garage is left open from time to time and its very easy to follow residents in. Having said that, I havent had any issues finding parking in the garage. You pay a lot for a luxury apartment that clearly isnt luxury. People here have no idea how to operate a trash shoot and are too lazy to take large items down to the dumpster. Basically the place is full of career singles who are still transitioning from a college party kids to adults. The noise level is acceptable. On the weekends the pool can get quite loud. The common hallways can be loud as well. The entry doors are the same as the interior doors so there is no sound dampening. The carpet in the common hallways is pretty gross. I dont know what they use to clean it but it leaves an orange stain on your shoes. They do have a maintenance crew and those guys are constantly at the up keep. What makes this place cool is location. None of the amenities they offer are spectacular. In fact, I would say they are par for the course. Except the gym, that needs some work. The fact that the Bar Room is downstairs is awesome! That might be the one saving grace for me.The management could do a better job at creating an atmosphere that facilitates resident interactions a.k.a meet ups. Its not only nice and clean that attracts residents but also culture.Totally worth living here and also totally worth your time to look at other places. Just remember it is the residents that make a great apartment building and a majority here are still in the discovery mode when it comes to responsibility.
Awesome management, great place to live if youre single, very dog friendly. I wish I could of stayed longer.
If you value privacy seek other apartments! The management will randomly come into your apartment to inspect the property without prior knowledge. The trash is disgusting in the hallways, often piling up, the elevators can not go two weeks without breaking down and the hallways are always littered with dog excrement! For the price you are going to pay..... Its NOT WORTH IT.TAKE HEED BRETHREN, unless you want your car vandalized or stolen!
