About 25 months ago, I moved to Orlando from San Diego and after looking at several apartment complexes, I chose Ariel and I’m so glad I did. First, and most importantly, the staff is awesome! I have to give special shout outs to Hannah, Lisha, and Krystle who were attentive, friendly, professional, and just a joy to be around. Whenever I had a question or needed some assistance, they were always willing to help. It’s rare to find a full staff that is always positive and so welcoming with nothing but smiles.I moved in right after the Covid-19 shutdown, so I didn’t get a chance to enjoy all of the great amenities my entire time there, but when things opened up, I was so glad that I chose Ariel. The grounds are gated and the landscaping crew seems to work tirelessly to keep the place looking well groomed and beautiful. The maintenance staff also deserve shout outs. Luis and everyone else were always very responsive and courteous when coming into my unit for either a routine check on the AC unit or to do simple things such as changing a light bulb. The pool is awesome. There are two gas grills by the pool. The gym has enough equipment to allow me to get in a full-body workout. It’s walking distance (approximately 1/2 mile) to Publix so, I would often walk there for exercise and to pick up items as needed. It’s minutes from several restaurants and a short drive to the airport. The units are spacious and…the price is so affordable! Of all the places I viewed, Ariel checked the most boxes and the ENTIRE staff proved to me that I made the right decision.

The area and apartment buildings are nice. However, the staff here is terrible. There was only one staff member that was nice. Most of the staff members are rude. I signed up for a 6 month lease before the covid pandemic started. When I tried to end the lease, they started making excuses stating that I opted for an option that did not let me end my lease. I ended up paying full rent for the remaining time period. Also, there was a small pest issue in the apartment BEFORE I moved. I requested for them to come and clean the apartment. I visited the apartment the next day and the insects were in the same exact spot. It looked like no one even came to check. Rent price was also high. Overall, disappointed with this experience.

Ariel Apartments has been an amazing place to live! I have a dog, so I love how large the dog park is (1 acre and its fenced in) and that there are doggy stations throughout the whole community! There is a nice playground here, and the whole community is well maintained. My building is detailed at least once a month (which I never experienced at another community), and they have a couple that coordinates community events at least once a month and are usually fun to attend!I’ve been here for 7 months now, and I love it! My neighbors haven’t really been loud or causing a disturbance and most of my surrounding neighbors are very nice and friendly, I do enjoy how close it is to everything. 417, 528 and the Turnpike are only a few minutes away and most shopping centers and restaurants are 10-15 minutes away.100% would recommend this community to anyone who is looking for a new area.

Hannah was amazing!! From the first phone to inquire about this place to staying late for when I arrived to get my keys. Spacious layout with updated look & appliances. Having a fur baby going from a home to an apartment, she is happy too running through the dog park & all the doggie stations so pet friendly.Every staff member I’ve encountered has been professional & personable, appreciating the environment so far. I feel safe too which is important..Highly recommend day one going to 762 S goldenrod road Orlando & get an EZ pass toll haven here in Florida...Looking forward to using to pool will update in a few months ;)

There were things I loved and things I don’t. Ariel apartments are super clean and nice, quiet neighborhood. I love the apartments, they’re beautiful and modern. Staff is always friendly and willing to help with any issues. Lisha always gave me an impressive attention and a great service. I lived here for 2 years. I lived in a 2 bedroom apartment and then eventually moved to 3 bedroom. The first was in Cordelia LN, there is no assigned parking, so I had to constantly park about 1/4 mile away at the other end of the complex. Then at Benvolio Circle the smell of cigarette and weed its constant”. The main gate did not work 90% of the time, people without beepers tried to enter through the exit gate. There are apartments where 2 and 3 different families live... This place does have a lot of nice amenities like a clubhouse, pool, gym, dog park, and grills by the pool. Overall it is a nice place to live and nice community but there are certian things I think could be improved upon.

I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. My experience here was nothing less of a nightmare.Do not let the facade of being a “luxury” apartment fool you. Not only are the prices way too expensive, but there are so many hidden fees and loopholes that are not clear upon move in and signing the lease. Even though my lease’s end-date was listed on my agreement, I was charged a fee of AN ENTIRE MONTH’S rent because I did not verbally state my end date closer to it, when i was not aware that this was the proper procedure.I thought that having an end-date in writing on my lease when I signed it was logical enough, and I have never heard of a rule in any apartment complex that states having to verbally/ physically state the move-out date again to confirm it, and to charge a fee equivalent to a month’s rent for not doing it is over-kill.I made several attempts to contact their corporate office to discuss the issue, and they would hang up in my face- very, very unprofessional.I was a student on rotations, and I desperately needed a place to stay short term (despite my crippling student loan debt,) so I did not have much choice than to live there- and it was not worth it. And to charge me a huge fee when I already could barely afford rent there was unethical and unforeseen.I would recommend avoided these leasing companies in general, as they have no care for you as in individual and only care about your money. Or if you decide to lease with them, make sure you read the lease agreement VERY carefully to avoid these scams.

This is a long review so heres the bottom line: Do NOT rent here. Seriously, go ANYWHERE else.Ill start by telling you about my experience with the leasing process. I submitted my leasing application and all of my financial documents the week I toured the apartment. The leasing office gave me a move-in date and said they would be emailing me soon to let me know if my application was approved. A few days before my move-in day I still hadnt heard back about whether my application was approved. I call the leasing office to ask about the status of my application, and they say they didnt get a chance to work on my documents. They told me to call back tomorrow. I called back the next day (during business hours) and got the leasing office voicemail. I left a message, which they didnt return. I called again the next day and again got the leasing office voicemail. I left another message, and AGAIN, they didnt return my phone call! Finally, THE DAY IM SCHEDULED TO MOVE IN, I call again and they say that they hadnt gotten the chance to review my documents but that theyll call me back before the leasing office closes for the day. She called me back at 5:45 pm and said that I wasnt approved. I knew that I met the financial requirements so I asked a couple of more questions and she says Oh! I guess I reviewed the wrong documents. Let me call you back. As you can probably guess, she didnt call me back that business day. Just so everyone is clear, this was MY MOVE-IN DAY. I called the leasing office the next day and complained, and finally Erica (who is actually great!) was able to get my (correct) application looked at and approved. This whole process was absolutely ridiculous. I couldnt believe how inattentive and unprofessional the leasing agent is here.I move into my apartment and it was infested with ants. See the pictures I attached. The second picture is an ant trap that I had set up in my pantry. All of my food was destroyed, and we were being bitten while we were sleeping.A couple of weeks later I finally got my service dog. I go to get her registered with the leasing office and they say that they wont accept the letter from my physician as proof of my disability, and that I have to fill out THEIR paperwork and go through THEIR approval process TO HAVE MY SERVICE DOG. I asked how long this would take, and the leasing agent (same one who handled my lease application) said I dont know, it could be a couple of weeks. I have a disability. Living without my service dog is a struggle for me, but they didnt seem concerned about that at Ariel. I complained a little bit and was able to get temporary approval for my dog until I was able to get approved by Ariel to have a service dog. The Fair Housing Act states whats sufficient proof of a disability, and my paperwork met that standard. Their leasing office is literally breaking the law by forcing residents to go through an approval process and fill out special paperwork to have a service dog. And for those of you who have a dog as a pet, theres a huge list of breeds that arent approved to live here. This place is NOT dog friendly, despite what they like to say. If you were wondering, its been over a month and my dog STILL hasnt been approved. Now, for the grand finale, we get to my problematic downstairs neighbors. These people showed up at my door 3 times within the first 3 weeks that I lived here telling me that we were walking too loud. He accused us of running around inside the apartment and banging on the walls. We definitely dont do either of those things. He complained to the leasing office several times for the same issue, and the leasing office seems to believe his unsubstantiated complaints. I went and talked to the leasing office about it TWICE, and they just keep issuing me noise complaints that say they are going to address the issue as a lease violation. If I could get out of my lease without paying a ton of money, I would have left yesterday. Rent somewhere else.

As we were applying for an apartment we were just calling for clarification to finish the application process. We spoke with Lisha specifically and she was extremely rude over the phone. She was getting extremely impatient just for asking clarification questions about the application process. I told her I didn’t mean to make her upset, I just needed more clarification and she scoffed at me. We told her that we would just look elsewhere if she wasn’t going to help us at all and she told us, “Mmhmm, okay” then disconnected the phone. We were so upset about this because we were really excited to live in these beautiful apartments. Aside from this interaction, Krystle was extremely helpful and wish that this interaction with Lisha did not stop of from being a resident there. Again, beautiful apartments but this staff member, Lisha, made us look elsewhere.

Certainly, there are other communities in the Lake Nona area that my family and I could have rented from, however, we call Ariel home. The leasing staff at Ariel are very professional and committed to handling any of your rental needs or concerns. In addition, this is a very family friendly and diverse neighborhood. All things considered, if you and your family or even if you are single are looking for somewhere peaceful and professional to live, Ariel is the best option when renting in the Lake Nona Orlando, FL area.

We have been wanting to move to the Lake Nona area for a while, and Ariel seemed like a good transition place to live while we build a home.Without going into the details, our move in day was a complete disaster, but I truly appreciate how the office and facilities staff pulled together to make it all work in the end. I am thankful for them, especially considering that SPM (the managing company) has yet to do anything to respond to us in any way. This community has so many positives and I will say we are already enjoying it here. The dog park is a dream! We needed space for our dog to be able to run and most complexes in Orlando offer a patch of grass at best and call it a “park”. Ariel’s dog park is over an acre and is well managed and well groomed. The amenities here are really nice and easily accessible. The pool feels like a resort pool, as do the indoor gym and gathering areas. The units are a definite upgrade from anything else we have experienced in Orlando. Granite countertops, updated appliances, carpet that doesn’t pill or buckle, and the use of space all make this feel more like a condo home than an apartment. The area is well manicured and clean. As far as we can tell, residents are quiet, friendly, and respectful. The location is also ideal even if you work in different areas of town because of easy access to 417, 528, and the Turnpike. Even though it is near the airport and backs up to 417, we don’t hear a thing. We had a bad start here, but I am glad we stuck it out and stayed. This is a great place to call home until we move to our permanent home!

I attempted to visit this property twice yesterday with my family after making the 1.5 hour trip to get there. We even had an appointment. Leasing agent flat out ignored us. 1st time we waited while she was helping another prospective renter. We had been there 15-20 mins all ready. I get that she was with another guest but when she came out of her office and walked by us getting ready to take them on a tour she looked right at us and didnt say a word. No simple hello folks, Ill be with you shortly nothing just an expressionless glance. When we came back later in the day same thing again. She made eye contact when we walked in and not even a simple hello. Again we waited for some sort of acknowledgement and got nothing. I feel we were judged as a multi-racial family or perhaps because we didnt have that stick up our butt Gucci wearing look she felt we werent worthy of her time. Nevertheless, we went to other properties in the area that were busy but we received 110% better customer service all around. They actually could multitask and greeted us with at least a hello, make yourself comfortable vibe and were really cool. Top notch customer service skills seen everywhere else we visited. As for Ariel Apartments, I can see with our experience yesterday that the other negative reviews about the staff are probably true. Its pretty clear that if you want to deal with a prejudice leasing office this is the place for you. Otherwise, save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere.

Giving it a 3 because there were things I loved and things I thought unacceptable about Ariel apartments. I lived here for a little over a year and a half. I lived in 2 apartments while there;a 1 bedroom and then eventually upgraded to a 2 bedroom. The interior of the apartments are nice. Nice carpet in the bedrooms, and wood floors throughout the rest of the apartment. Its open concept. The livingr is a decent size, and the kitchen is a good size. The area isnt exactly lake nona, its actually meadow woods but a bunch of properties on this end of meadow woods call it lake nona since its on the border. The gate did not work 90% of the time. That is not an exaggeration, it was almost always broken open. There isnt assigned parking so i consistently had to park about a 1/4 mile away at the other end of the complex. Can be really annoying especially if you have groceries. When i moved into the 2 br the carpet in one of the bedrooms was torn up where you enter the bathroom and i had to put a mat cover over it so i didnt step on the spikes there, i couldnt get them to fix it. I also had an ant infestation when i first moved in which they fixed with an exterminator but afterwards i noticed I had roaches and it took 6 or 7 phone calls before they sent another exterminator. The maintenence guys will talk to you like an idiot if you tell them something is broken, both times i called they did that until they realized that something actually was wrong. The leasing office on the other hand was really nice for most part. The only one I remember in particular was Erica and she was really nice and helpful. I had to cancel my lease due to my room mate consistently screwing me over, but they were nice and helpful in writing me up a 6 month payment plan instead of forcing me to try to pay it back all at once or immediately sending it to collections. This place does have a lot of nice amenities like a clubhouse, pool, gym, dog park, and grills by the pool for people to use. Overall it is a nice place to live and nice community but there are certian things I think could be improved upon.

Leasing staff is slow, lacks initiative, and lacks communication. Months before moving in, we had over ten unreturned phone calls. I left a voicemail with each phone call. For the times I was forwarded to the regional calling center, I never got a return phone call from the actual leasing office. After speaking with the community manager, she could only apologize, but nothing was ever done to fix it. Furthermore, we were informed two separate times a week before move in that we were good to go and ready to sign our lease electronically. We never got that, or the move in email to allow us to set up electricity and water. Without warning, on move in day, they informed us we hadn’t turned in adequate documentation to move in, wouldn’t let us move in, and they wanted to assess us a fee for not having electricity set up. In hindsight, I wonder what they expected when we showed up on our move in day. Given their prior history, they most likely never looked at our file ahead of time to ensure we were ready to move in, rather they waited until we showed up in front of them asking for the keys. While we were granted permission from the manager to move in that day, it was an extremely frustrating process. Once we moved in, our water was black and smelled like sewage water. They fixed it the next day but we were unable to use water during that time and were quite frankly severely disappointed with their poor customer service and lack of oversight to make sure the apartment was ready to move into. Lastly, we needed a sprinkler system certificate so I went to the office but stood in the lobby for about 10-15 minutes while the staff chatted in the break room (it was 430PM). We were told that they don’t have the certificate because construction company has them. For those wondering, you need a copy of the sprinkler certificate for a discount on your rental insurance. I would not recommend anyone live here solely because of the staff employed in the leasing office makes the process extremely frustrating and an unnecessary headache.Update (2 weeks later): The leasing office manager has been very helpful in addressing maintenance concerns same day. We had a problem with water pressure and lights flickering after moving in. A reply email was sent back the same night as the work order was put in (after hours) and the work order was completed the following business day. She also responded quickly after business hours to help me set up recycling at the apartment. Kudos to the manager for her assistance. Now that we have moved in to the apartment complex, we have no serious complaints. The electrical car parking spot is occupied by gasoline cars at night but is accessible during the day. There was an email from the manger to address this situation but this is a common problem that electric vehicle owners experience everywhere we go. The rest of the community is well maintained and Ive had no issues with non-functional amenities. There is an occasional ripped trash bag in the middle of the road inside the community on the weekend but it is picked up during the weekdays
