I came to Young Family Dental mostly by coincidence. My insurance allowed me to go most anywhere and I randomly called here first and the staff sounded friendly enough and willing to set my questions so I made an appointment.The Dental hygienist was extremely careful, not wanting to cause me any discomfort, as was the dentist. The procedure went without incident and I would recommend them to friends or family in a heart beat.I was extremely satisfied with the staff and the dentist and the hygienist.

I haven’t been to the dentist in a couple years and was pretty nervous i was going to be shunned for not coming in every 6 months. Everyone here was great and made me feel comfortable. I was relieved to find out there were no issues with my teeth. They did educate me on the importance of consistent check ups, flossing, etc. Set my next app 6 months from now before leaving the office. Doc Young is a great guy, great dentist and was patient with answering my many questions. His staff are great people and i look forward to going back!

Absolutely horrible experience. I went in for a cleaning and x-rays and the doctor I had previously seen no longer worked there. The cleaning was fine but then the doctor came in to look at the x-rays and my teeth. I had one spot that was bothering me and he explained that one okay. He then graciously (NOT) told me I had A LOT of stains on my teeth.But then he talks to his dental assistant saying all of these numbers and letters about my teeth and all that and then just disappears without saying anything like he was leaving or anything. I was like ??? Is he coming back? So I just waited and then a few minutes later, the billing specialist came in. I was so confused why the doctor hadn’t come back to explain what he did or didn’t find.The billing specialist had a piece of paper in her hand and handed it to me and told me that the dentist had “diagnosed” me with 5 cavities. DIAGNOSED!? What— like it’s a terminal illness!?! I didn’t get to ask any questions. The paper was about how much it was going to cost to fill the 5 cavities.I was so annoyed and left without making a return appt to fill the cavities. Went to a family friend dentist (didn’t go there the first time because he’s like 45 mins from my house) and he said he didn’t see any cavities. SO ANNOYING. Would not recommend

I took my brother in law to get his dentures relined. He is in a wheelchair and the staff was so helpful and friendly. It made the visit go smoothly from start to finish. Thank you

I called today and the receptionist hung up on me. This business is overpriced and they are extremely rude. The time before I scheduled an appointment and they didn’t get me in for an hour after my appointment time. The company threatens to charge you if you don’t cancelled 2days in advance but your time means nothing to them. When they finally got me in they couldn’t even do the root canal. The doctor had left for the day and they didn’t realize that is what my appointment was for. They sent me to a different office that I drove all the way there and the same story happened. This business doesn’t respect their patients. Only their pocketbook.

Dont go here. We came because we were referred by our insurance and it was a terrible mistake. After paying them more than $2,000 cash, (my husband and I needed a good deal of work done) were in more pain than before we went.My husband got a crown, which they told him he didnt need a root canal for (he had no root pain, but a lot of tooth decay) and after getting the crown complained of pain when chewing / hot / cold etc. He went back four times for them to fix it. During these visits they just kept sanding it down and saying come back if it still hurts. He kept coming back until they said, wait a month and if it still hurts well replace it because there might be a gap or something. Well, cut forward one month, and they tell him its out of warranty and theyll no longer be servicing it, even though he had come back again and again, called multiple times to try and get it fixed etc. It was the most sleazy thing weve ever experienced.I also had multiple fillings done, and all of them are too thin and cause pain when eating. Even when eating soft things like bread. It is ridiculous. Save yourself some time, money, pain and stress and go anywhere else.

Staff is nice, and the doctor was quick. Id recommend them to my friends and family for sure! Dr Park was professional and explained a couple of things to me and I really appreciate that.

I like that I got to meet Dr. Young this time and Alyssa did a great job cleaning and polishing my teeth. They are very friendly and knowledgeable about teeth and insurance. I recommend them highly.

I am a CNA writing this review for one of my residents who is a patient at young family dental. James says there are no words for how awesome the staff is and that he is amazed at how quick the process of getting dentures was. He highly recommends young family dental to anyone who is looking for a friendly, skilled dentist, who makes you feel at ease when you have to get dental work done. (He also would like me to point out that there are good looking ladies behind the front desk and that their smiles could light up a room)

I came to the dentist today to do a cleaning and Devin was amazing! She is attentive, knowledgeable and super nice 😊 I 100% recommend this dental practice and Devin! 😃

UPDATE: My other dentist took a look at the x rays Young Family Dental took and said they werent super great so he couldnt see much, but when he looked in my mouth, he said everything looked fine and I dont need to get any fillings. I would HIGHLY recommend getting a second dentists opinion before going with whatever these guys claim.We dont have dental insurance so price was going to be a big deal for us. When I called for a quote (I needed one tooth to be rebonded to my permanent retainer), they told me it would be around $50-$85 to get that done. So I scheduled a cleaning along with it and went in.Once the cleaning was over and they looked at my retainer, they quoted me $154 to get it done! Literally 3x the amount they mentioned on the phone and they said they were going to charge it like a filling even though rebonding a tooth literally takes 10 minutes and is nothing like a filling. I asked them why they were doing that and they just went back to the computer and printed out a new quote that was more than before and then realized they did it wrong so then they went back and quoted me about $86 but only if Im on their membership plan. The pricing seemed incredibly arbitrary though and was as if they just typed in a random number each time.I decided to call another dentist to get a quote and they did it so quick and easy for $50 and it was an awesome experience. I then called Young Family Dental to get my x rays sent over to this new office and they said Id need to come in to sign a consent form. Thats fine. But it wasnt until I got there and had everything filled out that they told me thered be an additional $25 fee to send them over because the doctor took a lot of time and effort to get those x rays done even though I had already paid $180 for the cleaning and check up. $25 usually isnt a big deal, but the way the receptionist was treating me was as if I was a complete idiot and was incredibly demeaning with her attitude. Plus, they had already been incredibly vague over the phone and I feel intentionally leave out the fees included.In the end, I will not be going back to them even though I paid for their yearly membership fee. They did a pretty good job on my cleaning and x rays, but the service is not worth going back to.

Man you know those times when you’ve brushed like 15 times in the last 6 months and you brush like 3 times the day you come in.Well even if you do do that, Young Family dental is very helpful and make sure despite what condition your teeth is in that it’s as painless as possible!Alyssa really was awesome, helpful and made it a fun time.

I have to come here for dental checkups required by the military. Ive been sent to other dental offices for military dental appointments before and was in and out in 5 minutes. Here, I sit for at least 30-50 minutes past my appointment time even when I arrive 10 minutes early. They consistently bring patients back that arrived after me, possibly because they know I have no choice but to wait.Ill be reviewing them poorly on the military health scheduling site as well for wasting time out of my day. Hopefully they lose their service contract eventually for poor service.

Came to get a deep cleaning done and they were super professional and friendly. I really liked that they gave me the option to not get numb and I’m so glad I didn’t because I didn’t feel as much pain as I thought because the hygienist was super good and smooth. Definitely coming back :)

They were fast even filled my two cavities right there had an issue after numbing was over and was told to see an oral surgeon which an antibiotic probably would have fixed. They were quick to check what it was. Overall not my best dentist experience but not the worst either.

This office and all the staff have been so amazing working with me in payments, making sure my comfort level has been at its best and working with me having to change my appointment time,,,, more than once! Im glad I decided to choose these guys! They are the best.

I like the service they provide. The office is very clean, Receptionist friendly, Alyssa, hygienist cleaned all my teeth in my entire mouth, took some plague and showed me. Dr. Michael Park is very helpful and checked the X Rays. Showed me that I have a cavity under the left side of my mouth, might need new crown. I think he is excellent in finding what is going on inside my teeth. I highly recommend this staff. Yesenia is very kind in explaining everything in detail about whitening and review. I have a big smile.

Weve been going to Young Family Dental for about the past 4 years. The staff are very friendly and make you feel comfortable. The dental hygienists are very thorough and cleaning. Ive only dealt with Dr. Park and he is has been excellent. There have been a few times theyve been running behind and we were there longer than we wanted to be, but lately that has improved and they seem a lot more efficient.

THEY SAID I HAVE 12 CAVITIES!!! AFTER I CHECKED 12 CAVITIES WITH ANOTHER 2 DENTAL CLINICS THEY ARE FIND ONLY 1 CAVITY! BE AWARE!

My name is Travis Cook in the last two years Ive had several teeth problem 8 too be exact, In the time frame Ive seen 8 dentists and not one would take the effort to figure out if my insurance the government gave me the other dentist said Im not covered 7 teeth at $800 just to pull them and the last one was $1800. But today on 1/22/21 I got two front teeth knocked almost out. I was trying to find a dentist and got in contact with young family dental orem Wendy is a amazing assistant she went above and beyond and called my insurance carrier and all this time I did have insurance that Wendy found out after the other dentist took advantage of me several thousand later. Then I met Dr Lloyd and he fixed my problem and sat down and made a plan with me and for the first time in years he help me with no money. This is one amazing dental practice the Dr Lloyd / Wendy and staff. Thank you for everything you people do we need more dentist like them thank you again

DO NOT GO HERE. THEY WILL TRY TO SCAM YOU. THEY WILL LIE AND SAY YOU HAVE CAVITIES WHEN YOU DONT JUST SO THEY CAN RIP YOU OFF.I saw a Groupon deal with Young Family Dental and decided to try it out. I don’t have dental insurance and haven’t been to the dentist in a couple of years, so I figured it’d be good to get a cleaning and see if I have any cavities. Ive always had good teeth and have only had 2 cavities my entire life, so I didnt think thered be any big surprises.I arrived on time only to sit in the waiting room for 50+ minutes. The waiting room was packed almost to its max capacity, with nearly everyone shoulder to shoulder. With COVID-19 still in full effect, it was an extremely unprofessional/inconsiderate way to run a business.Upon finally making it back they clean my teeth and do some x-rays. The dentist comes in, glances at the x-rays, and tells me I have TEN CAVITIES, all of which are super concerning and need to be taken care of ASAP, with the total cost coming to $1900+.Thankfully I sensed I was about to get ripped off, and drove to see my old dentist for a second opinion. Turns out I have 4 cavities, all of which are SUPER SMALL, to the point the dentist assured they could wait another 6 months until I get on dental insurance, and probably even longer than that (total cost would be $480 to get them filled, and thats without insurance).As some of the other reviews have stated, look carefully at their 5 star google reviews. The bulk of them are generically written from accounts with only one review, conveniently taking the time to write a 5 star review for Young Family Dental and no other businesses. YFD is clearly just creating google accounts to try to boost their terrible company. Go to literally any other dentist office and dont get scammed by these crooks.

I have had the best experience here I have been coming to this office ever since I moved to Utah in 2010. Everyone is so nice and respectful and I’m so grateful that they have been so patient with me over the years. Always walking me through all the procedures and asking me if I understand. I love this place, they take really good care of you and make sure they get everything done for you and what you need. Their place is always very clean. Their staff is very nice and friendly and of course very professional.

They were so friendly and got me in and out very fast! BUTWhile that part is still true, but then they tried to get me to pay a lot of money for getting cavities filled, and they even told me that I didnt need to sign up for dental insurance, and that I could just use their program. They were wanting me to spend over $1000 for all of the fillings that most dentists would say to just keep an eye on.

Our family has being going to Young Family Dental in Orem since 2012. We have had consistent good quality work. The staff are friendly and the assistants and hygienists are both good at their job and kind. They have multiple dentists and we dont have any complaints with any of them. We have especially been impressed with Dr. Parks work. Over the years we have had wisdom teeth pulled, crowns, fillings and a root canal. They are a full service dental clinic. If there has ever been an issues with treatment or billing they have made things right. They are more than willing to discuss treatments and any charges. We highly recommend them.

I love Young Family Dental. This is my first dental place after not needing to go to a kids dentist. There wasnt one awkward moment and everyone was so unbelievably, kind. But it wasnt just there friendlyness that made this a great experience. Everyone explained everything from my brushing habits to the treatment costs. They made sure I understood everything and allowed me time to ask anything I was concerned about with my teeth. If you are looking for a dentist that going to give you a detailed and through cleaning look no further. The cleanings Ive had in the past made my gums bleed, but I felt no discomfort and I have very sensitive teeth. Thank you Young Family Dental I cant wait too see you again in 6 months!

Had an appointment at 11:30. Had to check my kid out of school. Waited for over an hour during corona and just told them to cancel. My 4 year old and 17 year old were supposed to be in and out but weren’t. I had to put my 4 year old and infant down for a nap and I couldn’t wait any longer. When will customer service be prioritized over packing in as many clients as possible. The greed has gotten out of control.

I recently had my cavities filled here and it was a wonderful experience. I have always had a fear of dental work but coming to Young Family Dental for the first time totally eliminated all my fears. 1st visit, just a cleaning from a groupon deal. People are nice. Received a quote for over $900 dollars for 6 minor cavities. Minimal time with dentist, less than 5 minutes, visit was 1 hr and 20 minutes. Did a review for a free whitening kit.

I have loved coming to Young Family Dental in Orem. The first time I came I brought my son who is 2 years old. I was nervous he would be scared but everyone was so kind and helpful and they took such good care of him while I was getting my teeth checked. He is excited to come back to the dentist one day. They are very professional. I had a cleaing and a cavity filled. Before i started, they took my temperature and had me gargle with diluted hydrogen peroxide. The procedure was quick and painless.

Everybody is great! Theyre clear about what theyre doing, friendly, and skilled. Theyre so polite. They make very minor errors, if they make any at all, which is acceptable... because theyre unintentional. They definitely try to reduce the pain as much as possible and take great care of you. I love the doctor I have, he his very quick and clean, very skilled, and takes good care of me. I highly recommend this place. The prices are also very good.

First off they have a very nice front office staff who are very welcoming! The doctors are great at what they do, very aware of the patients wants and needs as well as gentle like and kind! I truly believe everyone there is caring and do the best they can for each individual person. They are clean, organized, and well maintained! Hygienist and assistance were exceptional too! Never have had an issue with work preformed, or with billing of any kind either!

DONT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE! MY DAUGHTER WENT HERE NEEDING EXTENCIVE WORK DONE. THE RECEPTIONIST WAS RUDE AND JUDGEMENTAL! SHE MADE MY DAUGHTER AND MY HUSBAND FEEL LIKE THEY WERE TERRIBLE PEOPLE BECAUSE HER TEETH WERE BAD. AND WHEN THE OFFICE CALLED TO SCHEDULE FOLLOW UP WORK FOR MY DAUGHTER WE KINDLY INFORMED THEM THAT WE WOULD BE GOING ELSEWHERE ...THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE END OF IT. THIS DENTIST WILL CALL CPS AND REPORT YOU IF YOU DONT GO TO YOUR FOLLOW UP!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!! My daughter Was seen elsewhere by a much more kind and understanding staff! Shes doing just fine but I will never visit this establishment again and I will tell all of my friends that they shouldnt either.

My complaint would be Dr. Park he was not the most friendly and acted like you were a major inconvenience when you needed to say or do anything! Also I was on Medicaid and told I needed it 4 root canals and had 12 cavities even though my mouth hasn’t been hurting that bad according to other reviews I feel like I was a victim of the same in the case of Medicaid moochers they scheduled me as many appointments as they could and tried to do as much work as they could to try and get the most money even though I didn’t even need the 4 root canal’s and after getting two done I feel like they put the crown on wrong because my mouth has been hurting for a week I would definitely not recommend going here especially if you have Medicaid they will tell you you pretty much need work done on every single tooth!

I have a massive dental anxiety, the whole process freaks me out to the point that I’d rather have bad teeth then go. But Young Dental and Alyssa L were so extremely kind and made the experience so much more comfortable. Especially Alyssa, she made me feel relaxed and in safe hands. I actually ask for her when I go. I don’t think I’ll ever go to a different dentist and I fully intend on taking my son there when he’s older! I am so grateful for their patience and understanding. They really made a difference in my dentist experience and I’m very thankful for that. High recommend it.

Dr. Park is an amazing dentist in my opinion. He has been my dentist and also my childrens for the past several years. He is gentle, kind, compassionate and truly cares for your dental health. His extractions are AMAZING! He will take time to explain what is going on so you can truly understand! I have several favorite assistants! Trust me they are great at working with an adult baby!! If I could sue Dr. Young I would, but my attorney told me it would take 2-3 years to see resolution. I am filing a complaint with the dept of professional licensees and warning people on reviews instead. The way Dr. Young and his office have treated my mother is sickening. She went in 7 weeks ago to have her teeth pulled and to get dentures. We assumed the process would be arduous and painstaking. Little did we know that 7 WEEKS would go by and she would be in the circumstance she is in. After a month of trying to express her concern to Dr. Young about bones that would need to be removed in order to fit her dentures, at her last apt another doctor in the office took one look at her and said, Oh! Thats not right. Im sorry. Yes, you need oral surgery to remove that before we can proceed. The soonest she can get a surgery consult is July 30th! Then a few more weeks out till surgery, with at least another on top of that to heal to fit the dentures. This will be a minimum of 14 weeks without teeth, leaving her humiliated and depressed... she has cried and suffered much over this. Dr. Young doesnt even so much as say hello when he walks into the office, and has made my mother feel like she doesnt matter. When I called the office one time last week to question what was going on, an office assistant named Jolynne got on the phone and without even speaking with me said, I do not have to talk to you. My mother signed a medical release waiver to my name, and we have requested her medical documents which have gone ignored. There is more but Ive said enough, please choose another dental office.

The wait here is frustrating. I have a young baby and both times I came the wait was between 30 min to an hour. The person who was supposed to be working on my teeth was at lunch... very poor planning as a business. On a good note, once I expressed my frustration the dentist came in instead and worked quickly.

Really great, sweet staff,, and doc. I have three little kids and they were able to see us all at the same time. Super sensitive to my child with a bad gag reflex. Prize tokens, fun tooth brushes, And my kids want to come back, so I’d say it’s a win!

I have had six of my children that have been patients. Youngs Family Dental has always been so considerate of their concerns and put them at ease. My questions always get answered. It is a very calm and warm environment in the office.

They were very accommodating with how soon I needed an appointment. The visit was quick and easy, and everyone was very nice. They were also very straightforward with what the costs and other things would be.

Whenever i go there, i am greeted kindly. The staff is able to answer any of the quesions i ask. They make sure you are ready before they do anything. Kind and friendly atmosphere. My whole family goes there for their dental treatment. Would recomend all of my friends, relatives, and everyone to go there.

I always get super anxious at the dentist but the amazing staff here was so kind and patient and helpful! I had the best care and the dentist was knowledgeable and did my fillings quickly. Everyone is so super great! I live in Spanish Fork but we drive up to Orem because these guys are the best! Alisa was so super great helping me not be nervous! And Yesenia took my baby and played with her while I was getting work done! Wish I could give a higher star than 5!!!
