This was the best most thorough, competent, professional and friendly Autorepair shop Ive ever used. Never have I felt so safe driving my repaired car off thrir lot. Eva, must be the office manager goes out of her way to provide 110%, everyone I came in contact with was professional and caring. I live an hour away but will continue to bring my car to Oceanside in Old Saybrook just for my piece of mind . Cant say enough good things about them. I think theyre competitively priced but do discount u for AAA.

Quick efficient and a beautiful facility?

I was stuck at an intersection wit a broken front ball joint. Man let me just say wow what a hard tow this was and they were able to get it on the flatt bed. They brought it to my shop of choice and they truly worked hard at making sure to not damage the vehicle any more than it all ready was and I am very thankful for that they went above and beyond taking good care of my car. I would for sure recommend Ocean Side Auto

They are professional, gave a quote that was less than the bill. Dan was able to find a rebuilt A.C for a my 2007 honda CRV, replaced the belt, oil change and checked tire pressure. Great group of people.

I honestly would recommend Ocean Side Auto to anyone in need of any mechanical work. I’ve been to Ocean Side a number of times, but most recently, my car broke down on the way home and started over heating. Knowing I couldn’t drive too far to get it fixed and knowing that I had to be at college the next day, I called Ocean Side as soon as I was able to. They quickly came to my rescue and towed my car to their repair shop within 30 minutes. They diagnosed what was wrong and once I gave them a go ahead to do the repairs they quickly started working on it. I prepared myself for a long wait after the estimated time of the repair would be until the next evening. However, they surprised me with a call at 10 am saying my car was done. I appreciate that they were able to squeeze me in to their busy schedule and repair my car in a time of utter chaos for me. Thankfully, I was able to get back to college just in time. Thank you Ocean Side Auto!

Wonderful service!!We brought our car in after noticing an issue with the breaks. Turns out both break lines were rotted and a blow out was imminent. Not only did they give us a ride back to our hotel, they were able to fix all the issues before closing time the same day.We were only visiting saybrook for 2 days, so the speed of service and being updated on the progress of repair really put us at ease, and allowed us to enjoy our time in this wonderful town.Friendly, accommodating, and they did a great job. You can’t ask for much more than that!!Highly recommend!!

I drove in close to 5pm with a leaking tire. They found a nail, patched the leak and I was on my way. All in less than 30 minutes. Very lucky, very happy!

My son borrowed my car and it broke down in Old Saybrook. We had it towed to Oceanside Auto and they couldnt have been more helpful. I highly recommend them.

Our family cars have been serviced and repaired by Oceanside auto for several years now and I have nothing but praise for their excellent customer service in the wide range of work they have done for us. We have come to trust their advice on troubleshooting and prioritizing maintenance and repairs when we have more than one issue come up on our 2007 Volvo S40 or 2014 Honda Civic. We also appreciate and take advantage of the loaner courtesy car whenever we can. For us there is no reason to take our cars anywhere else.

Completely unprofessional and displayed poor character traits. Watched him attempt to disrespect a young armed service member by rolling down his window and cursing at him, who was in his uniform at that. All while his child was in the front seat watching and the shop brand logo on the side! Some business and some example he was setting for his child. Guess this really is some crazy times we are living in.

Dan and Dave, are the best if you’re looking for a company to fix your vehicle or service any part of your vehicle you don’t need to look any further. Integrity,quality service, honesty and thoroughness is what these guys stand on. very satisfied every time I bring my vehicles to them and I have several. Wouldn’t trust anyone else. Believe it or not I usually think it’s gonna be $1000 and it’s half of that. Extra mile quality people.

Cannot say enough good things about this shop! I was on a road trip from New Jersey when i broke down on 95 going north bound. Being from out of town and not knowing what was around triple A towed my car to this shop. They were very helpful and worked fast to help figure out what was wrong with my car. After finding out my engine was blown they quickly help us find a rental car, and even drove us to the nearest enterprise. They went above and beyond to bring my car to the kia dealer to find out if it was still under warranty. I would highly recommend!

I would highly recommend Oceanside auto.. i had called AAA, i was stuck on the highway. Rob from Oceanside was there within 15-20 mins. He was very concerned for my safety. They are extremely thorough in diagnosing problems and very fair in how they correct those problems. They went out of their way to source used parts and took extra steps to ensure the part was up to snuff.

Revised. Wrote a review on someone elses experience on my behalf. I do appreciate the explanation as to the time it took for the tire change, and alignment for the tires to my car. New tires were purchased for the safety for my family and the fact that they take the extra time to make sure every detail is over-viewed is top notch. I will definitely go back and give Oceanside my business.Decided to use Oceanside for the first time due to their raving reviews. Made an appointment to have my tires mounted, aligned and balanced. My father in law was gracious enough to go for me since I have work, and he was there for over 2 hours for a job that in his experience should have taken about 30 min. New to town and was hoping to have found a go to auto body shop down the street from my house but I guess this wont be it.

Ive had nothing but great experiences with Oceanside. My 08 Mazda 3 has quirks that pop up frequently, and Im always able to bring it right in. I always cross-reference their estimates, and they come out to be very fair. Lauren takes the time to explain everything they recommend thoroughly, and they wont recommend service that isnt needed. They have even told me to get a part elsewhere because it would be cheaper for me. Cant recommend enough!

So here I am, an old guy in a strange town, visiting my father-in-law with the task of having to travel back to Philadelphia. Running my last errand and bam, the low tire pressure indicator comes on. No problem, I just check the pressure, but the indicator does not go off. Hmmmmm, check with the guys at Essex Hardware and they send me to you guys, and:You get me right in.You do a thorough investigation for any leaks.You reset the indicator.And then, all you ask is that I rate your service and have a safe trip home.......are you kidding?These guys are great!!

Dave and Jan are top notch. They are a true blessing. My truck broke down 7 AM in the morning to different times and both times they had my truck fixed by noon the same day. Can’t say enough good stuff about Dave and Dan at Oceanside auto. God‘s hand of blessing is upon them thank you guys so much. I really like these guys! It made me very happy when I asked for a second quote (first quote was from another car repair place) and they gave me a significantly lower price to change my alternator. I dropped my car off early morning before I headed in to work and my husband and I picked it up that afternoon. The bill was significantly higher than the quote and even higher than the quote from the other car repair center. My husband questioned them about this and said it wasnt okay to add items on to a bill without first asking the customer. They honored their orginal quote. Just recently I brought my car to them for a power steering issue. I was very thankful that they thought it was a minor issue that would be a reasonable price to fix, considering the age of the car. They asked if they could change the oil for me for $32 since it had been done 3,000 miles ago. I agreed and asked them to be sure and check all the fluids too please, they agreed. This job took two days to finish, I had to call the office numerous times for a status update (I didnt want to go through the same experience as the last time and be charged higher than the estimate). Two days after I picked up the car, an emergency light went on while I was an hour away from home. I had no idea what this light was so I referred to my car ownership book and luckily it was only windshield washer fluid. Whew! I stopped by the shop the next morning on my way to work, the mechanic apologized and put a gallon of fluid in the reservoir. I asked them if I should worry about the fluids. Had they really checked them too? They assured me they had! My confidence is not 100%. It would be better if their customer relations services was on point.

Wouldnt take my car anywhere else. Great family.

This family owned business is great! They provide excellent customer service, are well priced and I feel extremely satisfied and safe to have my vehicle worked on by their crew.

Got stranded on the way back from vacation in Boston to Pennsylvania with my 3 best friends and an infant. We were stranded on Exit 64 when an overzealous local firefighter called the State trooper on us for getting stuck in an inconvenient spot. The state trooper had us towed to Oceanside Auto (fun fact: the trooper forced the men to go with Dave in the tow truck and had the female friend ride with her infant alone in the troopers car and apparently made awkward, uncomfortable small talk with her while alone).We were going to be charged $714+ by Oveanside to replace my alternator. It was the highest quote we received from anyone in the region. It just seemed way overpriced. I told Dave we would pay for only the tow (which caused the price of the tow to go up) and we ended up having to leave it overnight and getting it the next day by jumping it with a rental.We ended up going to Ibbs Auto and being treated very warmly by Jim and the staff and ended up paying around $500 total.Would highly recommend Ibbs Auto to anyone who enjoys being given a fair quote.

Towed my vehicle and damaged the shifter then lied about it would not own up to it or pay for it cost me $400. . I wathed the tow truck driver do the damage total crooks stay far far away bunch of liars.Of course you disagree. Because you are liars. Post the emails. I watched your driver do the damage. Towed there.dave called us and told us the engine was blown and went out of his way to find us an engine.but also talked to us about the engine would be a lot of money,and also offered to help find us a car in our price range.and he did!
