I have returned to this Monro Auto Service location again and again because of how professional, knowledgeable, and friendly Adrian and his crew members have always been. Whenever I have had a mechanical issue, I was given clear explanations of it, and, if appropriate, the different scenarios that could be the cause, along with what each would cost, but always letting me know which one it is so I am aware ahead of time. Every repair I have had I have been pleasantly surprised at the bill, speed, and efficiency of this shop. You can tell they take pride in their shop by keeping the waiting room clean, and I have even witnessed Adrian mowing the lawn. I HIGHLY recommend it!

The 2 young men that were on this evening-Sunday 5/23/2021… were beyond great! I walked in with my Autistic brother 5 minutes before the shop closed and they were able to assist. They were so friendly and helpful and beyond great service. If I am ever back in this area as I was traveling from NY and need assistance again I will definitely use this shop!!! Had an emergency tire repair issue on a Sunday afternoon prior to departing back home to Virginia. Not only were these guys open….they were courteous, fast and repaired our tire for FREE! Couldn’t be more happy or impressed. Thank you for your professionalism.

Service was knowledgeable, prompt and pleasant. A flat tire needed a quick temporary fix and despite my protest, the manager refused any charges. I will order a replacement tire to be sent to Monro and, from past experience, thats an easy process that is less costly than a tire replacement by their competitors.

After my dual exhaust muffler bottomed out, I made an appointment on a Sunday to have Monro address the problem. Shortly after I arrived, they diagnosed the problem and communicated with me that although they were not able to get the parts needed to do the repair, they did weld the muffler back on, so I could drive safely until I could get it repaired. They explained exactly what I needed to replace and said NO CHARGE! I truly appreciated the service and the information from Justin.

My daughter made an appointment 2 days ago to have the oil changed today for her car. When she arrived at the appointed time, they would not do the work. This is AWFUL, SERVICE was rude. What does an appointment mean??? Will do the work only when convenient for Monroe-very disappointing service!!! I would give 0 stars but not an option

They were so helping replacing a battery and THEN didnt even charge me!So nice, polite and obviously helpful which I greatly appreciated.

Got a flat tire at 4:30 pm, and didnt want to drive back to central Connecticut on a spare. I called about a half dozen places. Everywhere else was either closing or didnt have a replacement in stock. Monroe had the tire I needed, was open late, and replaced my tire within an hour. Highly recommend.

Perfect service. Had a nail and a leak in one tire. They took care of it on a Sunday with very little notice. Very professional and attention to detail. Didnt over tighten the tire bolts but used a torque wrench.

I called Monro just before they closed last week and the manager (Adrian) told me he would wait for me. I was 20 min away with a tire going flat fast. I put more air in and shot to his shop. He pulled the tire off the car and wheel in minutes and had me back on the road. I had to bring my son in for surgery at 5 am the next day and Adrian was able help me get there Thank you Sir. I will certainly be back!!

Called Monro yesterday late, having never used their services. The Manager and Mechanic were extremely accommodating. They fixed the problem within 20 minutes and their price was low. Ill be using them in the future to service our vehicles.

Came across the way from town fair tire with some seized up control arm adjustments which was prohibiting them from giving me a proper alignment. Came over to Monro muffler and they got my control arms freed up with a torch and penetrating fluid in about 15 minutes and the store manager Adrian was so kind as to do the service for free! A nice feeling being taken care of

I took a punctured tire and it was fixed for free. I have always had my oil changes there and found staff courteous and profrssional.

We were traveling to Mystic, and got a flat tire on exit 65 I believe we called AAA and they changed it and referred us to another garage up the street! We didn’t like the looks of it so we found Monroe! What a gem, a man named Adrian came to our rescue grabbed my tire repaired it! When I asked for the bill he said it was free! They were quick, kind, and with Covid very careful and all were wearing masks! Thank you Adrian I hope you guys enjoyed your donuts ❤️

While driving down the interstate yesterday in a snow storm I noticed the low tire pressure warning light went on. There was no obvious problem so I continued home. A tire pressure check revealed a low pressure in one tire. Even after bringing the tire up to pressure and driving for a while the light did not go out. I was fortunate to bring the car to Munro in Old Saybrook where they found a piece of a nail head that was enough to set off the monitor but not enough to puncture the tire. The monitor indicator light went out and I was on my way with peace of mind. Whats not to like? Oh, and there was no charge.

Recently I had a nail in a tire and was able to get my vehicle over to Monro on a busy Saturday morning. They were excellent at getting me in without an appointment and had the tire fixed very quickly. Very impressed with their customer service!

First time visitor to the OS location, and I must say, i was mightily impressed. Although I didnt get to interact with the mechanics working on my car, manager Adrien C. was professional (and funny!) as we stood (with masks on!) and traded car related horror stories for approx. 30 minutes. He even gave me a through estimate for future work and walked me through it step-by-step, even being kid enough to print it out for future use, without pressuring me to get the work done that day. Give that man a raise.

Adrian and team (Justin, Tim, etc.) are fantastic. Ive been going to this Monro for past 2 years. Adrian has always been honest and never tried to sell a service that was not needed. He will take the time to show you what repairs are needed and will take what ever time is needed to ensure the repair is done properly. Yesterday I discovered a nail-head in my tire and stopped by Monroe in Old Saybrook where they gave me immediate attention taking the car in bay, removing the tire, diagnosing and fixing the problem. No appointment was necessary and Chris, the Manager, was very cordial making the visit seem very family and friendly oriented. He made Monroe a place where I would definitely purchase my next set of tires rather than the larger tire dealers who are impersonal with their customers. Every aspect of my visit was exceptional and I highly recommend a visit to Monroe in Old Saybrook.

The staff here is excellent in particular Adrien! I am on a very limited budget & they never try to talk me in to purchasing things I dont need or want. I went recently for an oil change & asked if they could also look at a tire that had recently gone flat to see if it was worth repairing & if I could afford the repair. They said sure & it turns out it was repairable. They pulled out the nail & plugged the hole at no charge as a courtesy! I have been going there with my 2005 Subaru for a long time now & will continue to do so! Their waiting area is also very clean which means alot to me. Stopped by on a holiday, Labor Day and they where open! The only car service in my town of Old Saybrook, CT. that was open! Impressive They found the problem quickly and had the parts the next morning quickly calledme and repaired it, great customer service and knowledgeable technicians repaired my car and did a great job also without a long wait to complete. Came today on a small matter, a refill of power-steering fluid. The young man, who sold me the fluid and poured it into the tank and whose name I later learned was Chris, was especially polite, personable, and competent and transformed a routine business interaction into a pleasant experience. I will return to Monro whenever I have further business and on the basis of this intelligent young employee, I recommend it highly! I will also recommend it to my friends in Old Saybrook!

Flat tire early Sunday morning- Monro Muffler in Old Saybrook open and wonderful! The staff was attentive, very nice, and efficiently repaired the tire (nail) and sent me on my way. I would definately seek them out if looking for a car repair or maintenance!

Got an oil change and tire rotation. Easy, fast, no hassle. The staff is extremely nice and friendly. He said it would take about 45 minutes and I chuckled when the car rolled up out front as my clock ticked exactly 45 minutes. Price was better than anywhere else on the shoreline. One of the best places Ive been to in a long time to get my truck worked on. The manager has some of the best customer service Ive seen in a long time. Hes also very knowledgeable. He seems to have a wonderful crew that follows his lead. I will be going back in the future

The manager, Tom, is The Man. Ive taken my car in for both front wheel bearings and some exhaust work. Tom and the staff worked with my schedule and didnt make me wait a minute. Friendly, polite, helpful and happy to share his knowledge, Tom was great to deal with. There was no up-selling and the prices were very reasonable. Its hard to find a trustworthy mechanic, but if its a job Monro can do, I suggest you take your car in to them.

They gave me an estimate for brakes, clearly explained (and showed me) the problem and in less than an hour they had completed with work, check my car fluid levels and did a test drive. The environment, including the rest room, was clean and tidy. And the price was right! Ill definitely go there again.

This was my first visit to Monro but they had been recommended to me by a friend. They were extremely helpful. When I called to make an appointment, they listened to the issue I was having with my car and actually ordered a part before my appointment so I would not need to wait longer. I was in and out within an hour!! They explained everything they were doing and showed me the part that needed to be replaced. I was very pleased with the service and I believe the cost was appropriate.

My wife, daughter and I were in Old Saybrook for a wedding this past weekend. We got a flat tire visiting Mystic and found Monro through a quick Google Search. Thomas, at the front desk, was exceptionally helpful, professional and kind. He fixed our tire and had us back on the road in less than 30 minutes! He went above and beyond to help us. Exactly the oil change my car needs and an incredibly friendly staff. Drop my car off after work, am greeted promptly. (run to Ocean State or the Dollar Store while I wait), come back and Im good to go! Ive been getting oil changes here with my 04 Jeep and my 02 Maxima with 0 problems and at a fair price. For those who want to trust their local quick local change, this place is the go-to!

Super honest guys here. I went in for an alignment that both townfair and chevy said was badly needed. These guys took the time to show me that it was the tires causing the issue and not the car itself. Problem solved at zero cost to me. Rare bit of honesty in the car world so ill definitely be back!

We took the old saybrook exit as our car was vibrating badly and we were lucky to find this workshop open on thanksgiving eve. Tom and Jeff were extremely helpful went the second mile to diagnose and fix our engine misfiring issue. You guys have given us another reason to be thankful for this evening. Super great customer service! During a torrential rain pour my window got stuck and I came in last minute en route to NYC. The mechanic fixed it immediately as a favor no charge. Wonderful people. If I lived in the area I’d be a regular!

I stopped in to get a quote on fixing an issue with my muffler. They checked it out immediately and calculated two quotes for the fix, all within about 20 minutes of getting there. Adrian (if I spelled that correctly) at the counter was super friendly and helpful. I set up an appointment the next day for the early morning. I dropped it off and expected the car to be there the whole day, but I got a call less than 2 hours later saying it was all fixed and ready to go. Great service - plus quick and professional!

I have patronized this location at least monthly for several years and have consistently very good service, but the staff there currently is the best. Great option for our busy schedule to get routine maintenance done on weekends and they go above and beyond all the time.
