Drove up to look at a used jeep wrangler, worked with Casey Doyle and he was great. The jeep was not in the condition I was hoping so we negotiated but unfortunately could not meet on price. I still had a great experience, was treated with respect and over all happy with the experience.
Painless buying experience with our salesman, Steve Domino, who was knowledgeable, helpful and super to deal with. More time was spent in the finance guys office turning down thousands of dollars in prepaid maintenance and insurance items. Finally purchased an extended bumper to bumper warranty to return our 6000 mile used vehicle to 5 years at a fair price. Saved a lot of money buying a slightly used vehicle rather than new. Vacinity of $15K savings. Gorgeous, loaded Honda CR-V, like new. Great dealership and brand, looking forward to a rewarding relationship in future.

I have been trying to trade in my car for over a year to get a hatch-back with multiple dealerships. Every time I went in, they never listened to my budget, only showed me brand new cars, and severely low-balled the value of my trade-in. I was expecting the same to happen here, but I wanted to try. We just leased our third car with Honda.Honda of Ocala is an excellent place to do business. The entire experience, starting with our sales person Ryan Wichter, was easy.Ryan gave us a choice of cars that were available. We decided on the Honda HRV Sport since it has all the features that we are comfortable with.The finance department built us a custom warranty package.Honda of Ocala offers free unlimited car washes.They also offer a free meal from their luncheonette counter.We always deal with Rob in the service department. Very pleased with the service we receive.
The short version is that the finance manager, Ovi Chisu made the simple task of cancelling the gap insurance a several month long process. He sold me on the policy because it had a lower interest rate. Told me it was easy to cancel. I did what he wanted and a month later my statement reflected only my regular payments. No communication and didnt return calls. Even spoke with a manager who seemingly couldnt resolve the issue. Was handed off to a finance person Troy; who completed the process in less than 10 minutes. Extremely disappointed in this situation.
Excellent service all around. The work on our CR-V was completed quickly by the service department. Chris Sills is a wonderful service rep. He listens to customers, finds opportunities to resolve the auto issues and is quite adept at customer service! We will definitely return for future service at Honda of Ocala because of the caring attitude and attention to detail we received from Chris.

I bought a new car there yesterday, but it will be my last purchase at Honda of Ocala and I will not be referring family and friends to them. The financing department did not honor the price agreed upon by the salesman and the sales manager. I realized that after the paperwork was signed. I went back and asked them to honor the price or cancel the deal. They wouldnt do either. I was able to get them to redo financing to a lower interest rate after I pointed out that another dealership was offering Honda financing at lower rates. While we were there, one of their salesmen slammed is phone on the desk, slammed a few doors and stormed out of the building. Several other employees ran after him. We were literally afraid for the safety of our children, wondering if he was about to commit some workplace violence.If you decide to buy a car here, be prepared for the following:1. Financing and Sales blaming each other for poor customer service.2. Disgruntled employees who are obviously not happy with their employment there.3. Financing not honoring the agreed-upon sales price4. Digitally signing documents while not being able to see the whole document at once. Numbers are hidden at the top while you are signing at the bottom.5. Instead of giving you paper copies of what youve signed, they give you your docs on a thumb drive. You cannot immediately review your contracts.6. An unwillingness to cancel your transaction after youve signed your docs.They kept saying that they wanted us to be happy. I kept telling them that I was not happy, but they would not let us out of the deal after it was signed. However, I was able to get them to redo the financing at a lower rate, but they should have offered that rate to begin with.
We had James as our sales representative this last week when we bought my wife’s truck. In all of my vehicle buying experiences, and there have been plenty, he is definitely the most impressive I have ever dealt with. I would most definitely recommend asking for James when you need your next vehicle. Patrick was the finance manager that helped us and he was extremely personal able and professional as well. They both stayed past closing to help us with everything we needed and made our buying experience simply amazing. Had such a great experience with Honda Ocala. Just got my new Subaru Outback from there and am super stoked about it. Jason was my sales rep. and was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. I had to drive myself to the dealership so I had no way of getting the car back home- Jason offered and ended up driving the car 30min north for me so I could get the car home that evening. Elizabeth was working the insurance counter and was also so helpful and friendly. Elizabeth took the time to explain to me all the insurance lingo and helped me decide on the best insurance option for me. Overall great experience and would definitely recommend.
Salesperson lied about availability of the vehicle. Was assured via text that the desired vehicle was in stock and confirmed appointment to purchase. Drove in from out of town at appointed time and was informed vehicle not in stock. Was offered substitutes instead. Classic bait and switch.

Rob Young was my service coordinator. He’s a very pleasant, knowledgeable gentleman. He not only coordinated my service but also helped me arrange shuttle service home and back while the work was done. I would also like to mention that the shuttle driver (so sorry but I’ve forgotten his name) was also very pleasant. Nice work! Rick Carpenter asked for the fob of my honda, and got it into service for a look-see. within an hour i was back on the road...problem resolved without making an apptmt. he also took a picture of a recent body dent and is referring it to the body shop in the event i decide to proceed with that cosmetic issue. i am impressed!!

We called to see if a vehicle was still available which it was - so we drove the hour to go look at it. Get there and was told it just sold (we get it - that happens). So we go on about our business then get a call back 20-30 minutes later that the deal fell through we could go back to take a look at the vehicle and we did. Took it for a test drive and everything - very nice vehicle… we were trying to see what my car would be valued at for a trade in which never happened because we told them we would have our own financing. We were told that if we wouldn’t finance through them that it was a “deal-breaker” and they wouldn’t sell the vehicle to us. So, I guess if you have your own financing I wouldn’t waste your time going to Honda of Ocala.

I went to Honda of Ocala after my car started to over heat. I did not have an appointment but they took my car in quickly. I spoke with Douglas McKee about the problem & he checked me in. Douglas McKee looked up information on my car & found that it had a recall on it for defective airbags. He said they could do everything in about 3 hours. I didnt want to wait around for that long & he said they had a service that would take me home & pick me up when the work was done. A feature of this dealership was to video the inspection of the car so the customer could see for themselves what needed to be done. Mr. McKee kept me well informed of what was happening which reduced my anxiety about the car trouble/expense. I would gladly take my car there in the future for any problems.

I have been purchasing my automobiles here since 2007. The service department has always taken car of me in a timely matter and always provide a food certificate for the cafe while I wait. But the biggest difference in my experience is my salesman, Michael Lehman. Honda Lehman “Mike”, always schedules me, responds to my texts, makes sure everything is set up, and follows through until completion. And on my last visit, Mike successfully negotiated the purchase of my newest Honda. Thanks Mike, you deserve the referral of my family and friends.
Heads up. The vehicles listed online have a dealer doc fee of $999 as advertised in their onlin advertising. Additionally they add a dealer installed package that is mandatory and cost $1,995 to the price listed and an addition to the $995 above (totalling $2990 added to the online price). This is not listed but covered under the small print of dealer installed options. This may be meaningful to those that are driving a distance to look at one of their cars.
As a former car sales associate at a few different dealerships, working with James Cohen was a breath of fresh air. He won’t run you around or use smoke and mirrors and leave you feeling like you don’t have any say in the matter. I absolutely recommend visiting him before settling on something else. Very knowledgeable and upfront.
I called them twice, asking to speak to a sales person about buying a van they had on their website. On hold over 15 minutes, phone system hangs up on me. Then I call again, the receptionist answers after being on hold for a long time, then says a sales person will call me back shortly. Never receive a call back after leaving my cell phone number. Last try - call again, leave my number, no call back. Terrible experience and ended up buying an Odyssey at another location.
My wife and I went in to purchase a used car. We decide on a price and were ready to sign the paperwork. We had been pre approved by our credit union but they ( Honda of Ocala) refused to accept the money. All they wanted to do was to sell their finance program. I was told aI COULD NOT buy the vehicle without their ( Honda of Ocala) finance program. So buyer beware. I will not be back to this business.

I had a very bad experience, having my credit very well, they did not help me to get out with a car, they wanted to give me a monthly payment of $ 400 and $ 500 and asking me to Down of more than 2,500 and even so, not even the monthly payment would lower me. My family have had a good experience and they have no credit and up to 1,000 down and a monthly payment of less than $ 300. apparently I was someone who just wanted to sell and their interests. it was very frustrating
Unethical business practices! Do not shop here!!! They will try to rip you off. I would give them a zero star if I could. I went here to purchase my son a car that they advertised online for a great price (two different cars at same location to be exact). Sat down with the salesman (who was not very professional looking with tattoos all over the place). He pulled up the info on their computer with same price that I saw online. Told them we were interested in test driving the vehicles and then making an offer. He then tried to get me to purchase some sort of extra package on top of the advertised price (an additional $3000). I did not want to purchase additional packages. I just wanted to purchase the vehicle at the advertised price. Salesman then refused to sell me the car unless I paid an extra $3000 on on top of the advertised price. This is very unethical. I can only imagine what other shady business practices this dealer is involved it. In addition to this, several years ago I went shopping here for a vehicle. Gave my name and number to the salesman. Big mistake! He called and harassed me for weeks when I decided to purchase another vehicle at a better price. Would not stop calling until I finally got firm with him and told him I was not interested and to stop calling me.

His outstanding customer service is amazing you really don’t find many salesman who care about there clients and go that extra mile to ensure they are very happy. So I’ve been looking for an specific car, color and year; saw it online here after tearing down the web; call this people (I am from Jacksonville) told them I’m interested in this car; gave them the stock number; they told me isnt ready but we will have it ready; everything super cool and nice; made an appointment for today; I drove there; first thing they wanted to pull my credit, then the car is not available not ready, not even there; funny part the manager was the one who reached me out; attended my request and communicated with me; once there they just treated me like oh sorry for driving here but we do not have it I am sorry; we are practically not even opened; and the salesman Jeremy Watchler; whatever his name is was so aggravated when I went and interrupted his purchase from the vending machine (like if he even needs to ingest more calories) back like hey your manager told me the car should be in the back (and the car is not even there). Anyways, not a cool experience.
The Purchasing experience was smooth and the all the staff was very helpful. I got a bonus that was not expected of lower insurance premium as a result of them being able to shop for the best rates from an array of carriers. I ended up getting lower deductible with more coverage for hundreds less than what I was paying before. Thanks Honda of Ocala.

We had purchased a used Honda truck through a private owner and we knew some work needed to be done. Our service advisor, Douglas Mckee couldnt have been more helpful. He got it in, kept us up to date on what it needed and got my truck fixed up in the time he said he would. A big thanks also to all he mechanics, it as a lot of work. We will continue to use them and highly recommend Honda of Ocala.
Horrible service! The sales people don’t want to sell. A salesperson by the name of Harry Vazquez was quoting my son for a vehicle without knowing how much down was being offered. Didn’t even run a credit check. Their loss, went to Phillips Toyota in Leesburg and left with a Corolla. Second time in this dealership. Last year went to buy a Ridgeline, again sales people said they had only one. Didn’t even try to do the numbers or find out if any deliveries were scheduled for new Ridgelines. Stay away, poor service.
I have been dealing with Doug McKee for several years. He is very professional and easy to work with. If I ever had any issues it was promptly taken care of. It’s easy to recommend him to anyone looking for a good service advisor.
Yamil, my sales person, was great! Not pushy, polite and professional. The ONLY reason Im not giving a 5 star review is because it took me MANY HOURS to go through the paperwork process....Seems like in 2021 the process could be made less painful. Maybe this is true with all car dealers, but I believe the process could be simplified by adding more staff to rotate customers through a LOT quicker.

Had my first service at almost 6 months ownership. Easy to set up and appointment and got friendly reminders. Met by service advisor Brandon Conklin when arriving at the service bay. We walked thru the service, he gave me a time and price estimate and provided me with a ticket for breakfast at the waiting area food counter. Everything went on as described and Brandon came and got me, finished the paperwork with an inspection review. Nicely done Brandon, nicely done!!!

Jose Medina, our service representative was courteous, attentive and efficient. A thorough inspection was performed revealing addition work more than a 60000 mile service was needed. Worst customer service ever! What sales man argues unprofessionally with the customer? They have a bunch of add on fees even if you didnt want the added features because they put the work in to the vehicle so youll pay that fee not included on their online price ... and they are just a bait and switch company. But they dont see it.as that because they tell you over the phone after you reach out to them..... vs. at their desk. Im glad I did not spend any money here or support this sales man. He was the worst Ive ever met... Watch out if youre in the vehicle market so you dont get scammed.

Mark Barbagallo always does a great job handling my service needs each time I come to Honda of Ocala.He takes the time to listen and he understands what will be the best way to fix my car, whether it’s a simple oil change or a more complex problem. I called to get an out the door quote on a used car. The car was listed at $6593. Between dealer fees, tag, tax, and their REQUIRED protection package, they tacked another 50% of the price onto the car, bringing the out the door price to over $10,000 AFTER a supposed $500 discount by the salesman. The car is worth about $6800, mind you. This dealership is shady, at best.
Great dealership and sales staff I was working with James Cohen who is very knowledgeable and polite he answered all my questions and although I wasnt ready to buy james never pressured me or made me feel uncomfortable he will definitely be my go to guy when Im ready to purchase a new car. I would have loved to have given these guys 5 stars because I have a friend that works in the service department. The service department has been great and they do deserve 5 stars. Thats not the reason for this 1 star review. The reasons the sales department DOES deserve 1 star is as follows.When you look up their prices online they are below KBB value and seem like a good deal which draws you in. I arrived at the dealership and took a look at the car. Seemed legit. The salesman tells me about the warranty that comes with every car and this adds 3k to the price which then makes the price average at best and I cannot opt out of it. I then ask if there are any other fees besides tax and tag such as dealer fees, etc. And the salesman responds with an affirmative no.I came back a couple days later ready to make a deal knowing around +/- 1%what my interest rate would be. They come back to me with an offer $200 higher than what I had expected. I started asking for a breakdown. They not only raised the price of the car by another 1k over the advertised price because only people with excellent credit get that price, but they also tacked on another doc fee of $999. When I asked why, they responded with everyone pays that and I cant do anything about it. The interest rate was just slightly higher than I expected. I quickly did the math as they were trying to pressure me into agreeing to a specific amount per month. I pointed out that even with the total they quoted it wasnt correct. They were off by about $20/mo. To say the least I was shocked that theyd actually try to rip me off! I guess theyre used to dealing with stupid people.The manipulation and lies continued as they tried to get me to buy all kinds of extras and promised a lower interest rate in turn. I declined all extras as I felt I shouldnt be forced to pay for a warranty that I didnt want in the first place as well as all the lies leading up to this point.It turns out my interest rate was lower than what I agreed to and only came across this information once I got the financing info from the bank in the mail.I havent yet received a check from Honda of ocala for the difference in interest rate % on the loan. I probably wont ever see that money again as they probably adjusted the total price if the car in their favor so they could keep it, but I hope this serves as a warning to all prospective customers looking for a car. Go to Jenkins! Ive always been treated like gold there.

Yamil was our sales guy he did a great job and very professional at what he does! He didn’t get tired or aggravated with all the back and fourth he stayed right there and helped us till the very end! The appearance of Honda of Ocala is nice, very clean.The sales staff was top notch,James Cohen/DavidBolcryk.It is a few days after the sale and James is still working with me on getting some options on the car that will be done elsewhere.The things that did agrivate us were the ext service for $3,000 that you couldnt refuse. We will not get to use this as we cant just drive an hour to get the car washed.The show room was all red, white and blue atmosphere with balloons showing patriotism for our country. I was looking at the flags on the poles along College Rd 12 poles, I was embarrassed for them. I have never in my life laid my eyes on such rag tagged, bleach out flags and some were just blowing red and white strips as the stars were gone. This was 5 days before Independence Day, Sad.
This was my first Honda and because of my age probably my last car. Should have been a great experience but it was not.The car is fine, the dealership was a dealership. Nothing special, nothing awful. Then they sent me a survey to fill out. Im retired and spent 30 plus years in customer service so if you ask my opinion Im going to be honest. Number one, the salesman was fine, he did his job. It was I think an easy sale. I already had all the vehicle info and pricing. It was a cash deal. So what did I have a problem with? I felt the dealership was unprofessional. Our salesman seemed to be overwhelmed by another issue involving some misplaced keys. I felt I shouldve been aware of that issue. I felt like management should have stepped in so the salesman could focus on me. I thought the funny little sign by his desk was in poor taste. I thought that if Id had a child with me it would have been inappropriate. I thought the bathrooms were dirty. All of these things are in my opinion, management issues.I thought that if this were my business Id want to know so I could improve.Thats not what happened. First they shared the survey with the salesman and he in turn called me to apologize. It was ridiculous. When I told him it was not aimed at him he told me that it was and that because of it he would not get his bonus! Once again information I dont need to know. Why would management think having the salesman call me was a good idea? I could understand if management wanted to call but to have the salesman call me was really a bad idea.So I called the dealership to speak to the GM. Guess what, hes apparently too busy to call me back.Because of all this I will never be able to take my new car to them for service. I dont trust the management.

I recently leased a new vehicle from Honda of Ocala. The dealership—personnel, environment, etc. is very comfortable. My salesperson, Alex Bowers, is extremely professional, knowledgeable, not high pressure. He ensured I was comfortable with HRV before “letting me loose!” Be sure to ask for Alex Bowers if your in the market for a Honda! You won’t be sorry!
The car buying process was exhaustive. Many fees, double charges, and the finance employee did not take into account what we wanted, instead added on extra things. We were already there for hours and it was past closing time. We went back every day after buying to try to make some changes but everytime the GM was not there and they continued to say there was nothing they could do. Finally, we set up a meeting with the GM, he listened and seemed to care, we were able to recover some of the additional unwanted charges. The employees there seem to be able to do what they want when it comes to adding on hidden fees or charges when buying a car or getting a service. No consistency in prices. Also, they lie and tell you that you have to finance with them when you dont. We refinanced ASAP. They will get over on you so read everything carefully and makes sure you are firm with what you want.

I just purchased a preowned CRV-EXL model with the help of Casey Doyle from their Internet Dept. We were able to select from our choices without any pressure. Overall, it was a pleasant experience although it really wasn’t a buyer’s market for price negotiations. Casey was very forthright and open to all our questions and that was appreciated. We went on a Sunday and it took 3.5 hrs to get out the door. I can definitely see myself coming back to work with Casey again for my next vehicle in a few years.
