I have lived in Ocala for 15 years. I have used 3 other major shops in the area. I have 5 cars, 3 of which are Muscle cars that I will only accept top level work, and I want only the best for my cars. It is for those reasons I am loyal to Brain at Bednars auto repair. I have 3 dozen or more receipts from the shop over the last 8+ years I have used them. Brian has done every from putting in a new transmission, installed a Holley Sniper EFI system in two of my cars, fix rear axel problems, new 4 wheel disc systems, AC and a myriad of other repairs on my cars. He is the best in town, and is honest, unlike some other shops in town. I know him well and he knows my standards, and he always calls with the estimate prior to conducting repairs. Net, net he is class act, and I have full confidence in the work he performs.

Brian is truly brining honesty back into the world of mechanics! Brian gave me his honest opinion on what my breaks needed and didn’t even charge me for looking at it! My grandmother also uses his business on a regular basis and after being taken advantaged of by other mechanic she said she is never taking her car to anyone else!

Took our truck in for a diagnosis and he had it fixed and ready to go in no time!

We are in town visiting family and my check engine light came on. My brother recommended Bednars Auto. They had us come in the next morning and we had our truck back by that afternoon! Honest and friendly!!

Ive taken my Hyundai Elantra to have the brakes serviced. New Master cylinder, pads and I said whatever else needs fixed to do it. When I got it back the car was leaking brake fluid. I took it back, they told me It was the proportioning valves that were leaking, so they replaced those. When I got the car back the master cylinder was over filled and come to find out the car is still leaking brake fluid. I just wanted my car safe to drive and they can not accomplish that. Poor service, they dont seem to have a clue what theyre doing there.

Hes very honest which is hard to find now days does great work, timely and very affordable!!!!

I wish I could give it more stars. I took my car to them and they had it fixed quick. The work was wonderful. And they could have gouged me for so much more. They were completely honest and did not force any extra work on me. They told me it needs to be done but you have time in the future to have it done. I would go back there in a second to have future work done.

In my opinion this is the best automotive repair shop in Ocala. The work is excellent and the prices reasonable. Brian Bednar is a very honest and trustworthy man. While servicing my car a tiny scratch was made in the bumper and Brian let me know about it and offered to paint the bumper. Most shops would not have told you anything much less offer to paint the bumper. I will never go anywhere else for repairs. That right there tells you a whole lot about Brian Bednar.

Have used this shop for several years. Shop and waiting room always neat and clean and their work is excellent. I definitely recommend them.

Brought my car in to this shop for my air conditioning condenser unit to be changed I went to 2 shops before i called this one both shops said I had a leaking condenser unit and they both wanted to charge $700 to change so I shopped around for better prices and called this shop he quoted me $500 plus tax and so I choose this shop got in dropped it off got a call a couple hours later he left a message saying my car was ready when I get there i was then told by Brian that my car had probably been over heating a lot i said no it has never over heated he said well I replaced the radiator also because it was leaking and that is going to be another $100 but I didnt authorize the work and i got stuck paying it anyways he said well Im not charging labor Im just charging for the radiator I went home pretty disappointed but my air conditioning was working and by the next night my air conditioning quit working but by then they were closed because it was a Friday night so I left a message and I had to call back Monday morning and was told that the condenser was under warranty so as I and someone else started looking further at the condenser it looked to be a used one but a newer radiator so Im here now and I am not to impressed later I will update my review Im hoping problem is resolved I dont feel very confident in the ability since I was charged for something I never authorized nor had problems with before. So he has said that the problem with the air conditioning unit is something else he said its the expansion valve getting stuck and I would need to pay $40 more to have it fixed I told him that when you replace the condenser the mechanic usually replace the expansion valve at the same time thats the quote the other 2 shops gave me it was to replace the condenser, expansion valve and to refill the system he said he didnt think to do that

Bednar’s is the only place I will take my cars. Thank you Mr. Bednar for taking care of my car. This is fair, clean, and knowledgeable establishment.

Have been using Brians service for years and he never takes advantage of you. He tells you what you need and what could wait. Would not hesitate to recommend him.
