My car broke down last week. The dealership said they couldnt look at it for a week so I decided to have it towed to Oscars Auto Center. Turned out to be a simple belt issue. They fixed it promptly and had me back on the road immediately at a reasonable price. Will be bringing the car back to Oscars should I have problems in the future. Thanks!

Oscar’s auto is a one stop do it all shop. Absolutely best prices in town guaranteed! Call around and ask and I bet their prices still beat their competitors! Took my vehicle in to get a cv axle replacement and took them less than two hours. Very professional, very knowledgeable, and great employees. If you need anything done I seriously recommend coming by Oscar’s Auto. There is no bs, they get the job done fast and professional. If anyone reads this please get the word out about Oscar’s. I can’t express it enough how great they are!!

Thank you Lord for mechanics like Oscar! My wife and I were headed to Disney from Georgia when my car broke down on I-75 with smoke coming out the hood! I googled and saw Oscars Auto Center was less than 2 miles away and had good reviews. I called up Oscar and he sent a tow truck to come pick us up. Since it was after hours he said he would look at it in the morning. The tow truck driver took us to a nearby hotel. Fearing the worst I thought we would be stranded in Ocala for a few days because it was New Year’s Eve...BUT Oscar was able to diagnose the problem and fix my car that day and we were on our way by 3pm! Also his prices were amazing and fair. We decided to just drive back to GA and the car was running perfectly! If you need any repair work done, don’t hesitate and call Oscar!!! He’s the best!

My transmission was not shifting properly so I took the car to wildwood Chevrolet & was told the one solenoid was bad so I had them replace all the solenoids 1,350.00 was the cost& after getting it back the transmission was still not right.So a freind told me about Oscar auto center in Ocala..Oscar put the code reader on the car he told me the third gear was bad in the transmission. So I asked him to put a new transmission in the car.It was.my fault not getting this in writing but I didnt & a rebuilt transmission was installed 3, 6950. 50 was the cost & the buisness was so busy it was almost 2 weeks before I received the car back. I had some minor issues I had to have them correct also.The transmission that was installed by this buisnes is shifting real well now with a 36,000 mile warranty but I would have liked to had a new transmission installed.

Called multiple times while I was sitting at a gas station with a shredded tire. No one picked up the phone. Had to get the car towed, farther away, just because they wouldnt answer the phone. Edit: I added one star because of the owners response, I can respect anyone who will admit fault.

Brought our truck in for repair. It was incorrectly diagnosed and unnecessary work was done. Afterwards, the real problem was discovered and fixed. We were overcharged for unnecessary repairs.

Excellent work! He helped me when I needed it the most! My alternator went out in my car Saturday late night and we called Oscar he was very timely and did such good work. He also scheduled a ride to come pick me up that way i could make it back to my car! I appreciate everything!

We limped off I-75 after a brief encounter with a nasty pothole, leaving us with a need for new bearings, new tie rods and wheel alignment. Oscars Auto had us up and running again in a few short hours. They were very kind to us and did excellent work!

Oacars Auto Center was a great experience! I came into town for only a few days and my truck kept dying so I brought it into Oscars. I was leaving in two days so I needed to have my truck done. I recently moved in the area and I was changing my brake rotors on my Mitsubishi Lancer but was having trouble with the rusted and stripped bolts on the brake brackets and so I wanted to save myself the time and headache and ended up finding Oscars Auto Center. The reviews looked good and so I called Oscar in the morning and he said they could help me out and I could come in to get it done. I’m extremely happy I decided to come here and as soon as I arrived everyone I encountered was extremely nice and welcoming and they got the job done quick and it was affordable. I 100% recommend this shop to anyone in need of work done to there car and thank you so much for your work Oscar. I will definitely be back for any future needs.

My buddy and I blew a tire last night on I75, after a triple a failed us and the road ranger put the tire on the back and wasn’t safe for us to drive, a friend told us to pull over and get the tire switched to the front to continue our drive to South carolina. we were basically stuck out in ocala not even 2 hours into our trip, googling random mechanics at midnight. we somehow got lucky and came across this shop owned by an angel of a man, Oscar. Oscar met us in the middle of the night at his shop to help out of couple guys in need of some luck. Oscar was honest, nice and a trustworthy guy. Oscar is a great and honest mechanic, I have used his services to have my VTC solenoid filter replaced, my oil and filter replacement, differential oil change, ac compressor change and my drive belt change on two of our cars, he has always been professional, courteous and reasonable. He lets you bring your own OEM parts and changes them out for a reasonable price, he stands behind his work and does a great job. Highly recommend.

The thing that separates Oscar from other mechanics in town is that he is not out to rip anyone off or run the bill up as much as he can. Hes completely honest about what work it takes to complete the job and actively looks for ways to save money. I was driving from Colorado to Florida and on 75 and there was a piece of truck tire in the middle of the road that broke my radiator my condenser and some of the things I call Oscar my son found the web page and we decided to call he picks me up on his own car picks up my car as well been in that process he dropped me off at a hotel and then the next day he finished 2 hours even earlier than he said he was the service was excellent and I cannot complain and I would recommend his shop for any type of situations he got two thumbs up on me 5 Stars great service anybody should go and anybody

Oscar is performing miracles in Ocala!I was traveling north on Interstate 75 and just passing the first Ocala exit when the grinding started. I wasnt sure what it was but by the time the second exit came up I was convinced the exit was my only shot. I took the exit and pulled into a parking lot. Wasnt the engine or transmission and the tires looked good. Then I felt the wheel bearing hubs and found the left front a few hundred degrees hotter than the others. Yep! Wheel bearing failure a hundred miles from home and its already about 3:30.Googled up auto repair and was stunned to see Oscars Auto Center, 24 Hours!! And only a half mile away. Decision made.While Oscar checked out my van, I was checking for a hotel for the night. I was seconds from making a reservation when Oscar said he could get me fixed up in about two or three hours. Sold!!! Fix both front bearings!!!Oscar and his crack team had me fixed up, satisfied and on my way by 6:30. No B.S.. No upsales. No surprises. Honest opinions on repairing options.Theres nothing fancy or frilly about the shop, the crew or Oscar. However, if you want fast, reliable honest service from a man with a friendly smile and a Christian heart, go see Oscar! AND he tows!!!

10/10 would go see Oscar again. The most fair priced after hours shop I’ve ever been to or dealt with. Got me up and going in no time and unlike most he has a personality and can have a conversation.

When replacing a part on my car Oscar gave me an overinflated price for a part that was actually waaaaaayyyyy cheaper at the dealership. He finally got the job done in a few days. He does however do a good job but the feeling of being swindled out of money did leave a sour taste, I would have loved it if the business was a little more honest with their customers. In the age of the internet, the customer knows how much things cost.

I Should’ve Read The Reviews Before Coming To Oscars Auto, I Would NEVER RETURN HERE OR REFER ANYONE HERE. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NOT AN INCH OF HOSPITALITY!!!Very unprofessional, Oscar told me I was able to get a quote that same day, of course it was untimely. You could easily sense his frustration when I told him I was unable to afford the service.(he then angrily said come get it then) Little did I know how upset he actually was..I had my vehicle towed to Oscars Auto (the car battery was dead) with ALL FOUR WINDOWS UP. At some point when my vehicle was in his possession he had charged my car battery and left BOTH FRONT WINDOWS down on a day it was CLEARLY GOING TO RAIN, Before leaving my vehicle outside in his lot unprotected and purposely. Who knows how long my vehicle sat there unprotected and able to be damaged by the rain..I DID NOT FIND OUT ABOUT ANY OF THIS UNTIL MY VEHICLE WAS TOWED HOME. Then I was left with the burden of trying to quickly find someone to jump start my car before it rained. Honestly he put me in a worse position than I was already in. I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHAT MAKES PEOPLE THIS UNKIND. I WAS NOTHING BUT NICE TO OSCAR. I WOULD GIVE NO STARS IF I COULD FOR THIS RATING.

On Memorial Day 5-25-2020 I was in Florida for a family emergency. I was trying to get myself, one of my daughters and 3 of my grandchildren back to Ohio. We stopped in Ocala at the Pilot at exit 358 off I-75N. As we started to leave the axle shaft on the drivers side of my For edge broke leaving us stranded, A very nice women employee at the Pilot looked up 24 hour service centers for us. She found Oscars Auto Center for me. Oscar picked up my vehicle with his tow truck and had his employee Mike pick my family up in a chase vehicle and got us to a Motel close to his shop. He installed new axles at my request and had the vehicle back to me by the time I needed to check out of the rooms. When I payed the repair bill, i was overwhelmed by the fact that I called him on a Holiday but he did not charge me a Holiday rate. I have never had a better experience with a shop than this in my life. Thank you Oscar and Mike for the way you treated my family and me through all of this. The repair price including the tow and ride to the motel was less than half what I expected. If you need an auto repair in the Ocala area please see Oscar and his team, they are great.

We broke down with a flat tire on the side of I-75 outside of Ocala.. we called Oscars’s Auto Center to see if they had a tire for our car and they did! Oscar is wonderful!! He took really good care of me!! I was coming home (West Palm Beach) from visiting a friend at Shands Hospital in Gainesville when my car battery died after a quick food stop. I got a tow to Oscars and he was sure to check my Alternator and the actual battery to best determine which issue had caused the dead battery and be sure I wouldnt have further problems on the road homeward bound. A battery was all it was. He fixed me right up and got me back on the road in less than an hour (including two time). Thanks Oscar!!

We always take our car 2011 Toyota Camry LE here to get an oil change and he is the only one that’s been under our hood we’ve had no problems with our car, we make sure we keep up the maintenance on it because it is driven every day whether we’re going to work or using it for Uber share rides we bought this car in excellent condition in Feb 2018 we started bringing this car to you Oscar maybe close to near end of 2018 we have never bought the car anywhere else to get an oil change it would either be my husband or myself bringing the car in but the last time I bought this car in to get an oil change which was on or about Jan 10, 2020 I noticed there was something missing right near where you put the oil, it’s a cover called a breather filter where the air would circulate back into the engine, that’s the first thing! Second we checked the oil today and the damn dipstick is bone DRY! So what that means is our oil changes were straight bogus! I noticed also that my car was ready in like 10 mins it takes more than some 10 mins to change the oil but we trusted Oscar and his staff we got courtesy calls too, that was all a front, only God spoke to us to check today Feb 9th a month later, because we are always busy. This has been a valuable lesson! You’re wrong for trying to Sabotage our car, you get no more business from us, may God forgive you for the dirt you’re doing to these people if we read these reviews before hand we could have saved a year of being ripped off on the oil changes. I was also going to get our breaks changed and we were blessed to have a mechanic friend do it and charged us nothing knowing we have been ripped off by you guys. 😢 Don’t do business with Oscar you’ll be sorry in the long run!

I could feel my breaks crunching and my truck started smoking, pulled over, come to find out oil was spewing from my gas cap. Oscar hooked me up with an emergency after hours oil change and new set of brake pads because I was traveling from out of town. He is also very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

We had car trouble on a Friday night. After a two hour phone battle with the insurance company. They finally got Oscar himself to come out and tow us. He was completely professional, respectful, and understanding through our whole ordeal. Highly recommend.

I wish I would have found these reviews sooner. The shop is a ripoff. I needed to have a brake line replaced but once Oscars had my car they said they would not do the repair without replacing the entire rear brake system and doing repairs totally unrelated to the brakes. They also hit me a hefty sum for for towing both ways. Dont go here. No place else will be as bad.

Complete liar and crook. Do NOT trust this place with your car!!! He screwed up the work on our car; then lied about doing it but when he was caught in the lie he then offered to pay for some of the work at another shop. When it came time to pay he refused. Think Tom McDermotts Mazda you screwed up and then on top of it you lost his key after you towed it to the dealer!! Now does that grab your attention! Pay him back!!!

We found Oscars Auto while traveling back home to Southwest Florida. Great customer service. He replaced the tongue jack on our RV trailer for a reasonable price and we were on our way in no time.

Called at 10:30pm requesting a tow on Martin Luther King day. Prompt answer and the man on the line was incredibly polite and explained from where my car overheated on the highway wed have to wait an hour to get a tow.After 40min we discovered our insurance was able to help us with a free tow. Called Oscars and told him to cancel 40min into the order. The man on the phone was again very polite and didnt seem bothered at all my the cancellation. He seemed relieved that we got some help.I was very impressed with the professionalism he had and the prompt phone answer (no other tow company was picking up despite being labeled 24/7). 5/5 stars, if I ever have to use a tow company in Ocala Id choose them.

In response to your comment; I’m disappointed because YOU failed to follow up! After telling me you would call back, YOU never did!! My boyfriend NEVER spoke to you about the parts nor did he say the dealer parts were too expensive, he only called you because we never heard back from you! And to say my car wasn’t brought into your shop, that’s a lie because it was only to be told YOU didn’t have the parts. No, I wasn’t charged anything (all I got was a quote) but bottom line, my frustration comes from poor communication. Not once did you ever let me know that the part weren’t available locally.

Had a great experience with him and his staff. We were traveling from Illinois and had been told by pep boys we needed a new metal gas pipe to go to Ford so we went to Ford who said they could not fix it because the part is no longer available anywhere basically so they told us to go to a diff. Mechanic to try and have someone rig the fix, that mechanic couldnt do it for a few days so I googled a mechanic and found Oscar. . . We took it to him, we were hot, tired, worried and had 4 kids under 9 with us, he said take them inside to watch cartoons and Ill take care of you. I told him about the part and told him good luck, his responce was we wont let it beat us. ;)He set us up with his secretary to take us to a rental car place ( which messed up our reservation and we ended up with no car ) we took an uber to our campground 45 mins away and the next day Oscar had our car fixed. He said it was NOT EVEN THE PART THEY SAID! it was a small seal that had a leak. He took the time to lift the engine and find the real problem saving us hundreds of dollars, then helped us get an uber driver for half the price as the night before. He was very real. Very kind, down to earth, genuinely nice person. Ocala has a genuine mechanic here.
