Deerwood is the best apartment complex that I’ve had the pleasure of residing at, and I’ve rented at quite a few places. The staff here is phenomenal including everyone from the maintenance to Diana and Cara in the office. In the 8 months I’ve been here, the staff has always been very helpful and addressed any work orders really quickly. Some of the biggest pros about this place that come to mind are that it’s centrally located, well-kept, safe, and has nice amenities like the gym and pool. I like the layout of my apartment, the high vaulted ceilings, and the walls are thick enough that you can’t hear the neighbors. I posted a few pictures I took of the lake views you get in the summer and fall. My girlfriend and I really enjoy walking around the lake and the neighbors are always friendly when walking by. I would definitely recommend this place and just wish I came here sooner
Beautiful property! Bernadette, Diana and the rest of the staff are so friendly and helpful! They really go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and at home. I love the convenience of the location, it’s close to shopping centers and restaurants. I would definitely check them out! You won’t regret it (:
This apartment complex is totally not all what its cracked up to be. Be aware of the lies just to draw you in. Upper management is rude, specifically the manager. You pay an arm and a leg for services they cant event keep up with. Your hard earned money is spent better else where.
Recently moved to Ocala and chose Deerwood after looking at least 5-10 other properties.Deerwood is definitely one of most beautiful places in the area, centrally located, diverse community. I just love the view from my apartment and the clubhouse. The pool, jogging track, lake, the forest are a refreshing change from a biggish city I was before. The leasing team is extremely helpful and really work as a team. My furniture started arriving days before I even set foot here and the leasing team (Bernadette) managed despite Covid restrictions.Diana (my leasing agent) was amazing and made me feel so welcome. Even lend me tools from her husband to assemble my furniture :)PS: The gym is good but needs new benches and bigger dumbbells :)
The place is beautiful to live in but the people working there, are very uncommunicative and unprofessional. They DO NOT provide all the information upfront and you have to keep contacting them. They are not very responsive. They only communicate when they want to raise your rent or charge you for extra things. Please check and go over details of your contract and ask for prices with everything you do in the apartment and what you will pay after you move out as well. I suggest get everything in writing, because they will add charges and not even tell you about especially when moving out. They took forever to clean the pool and the gym was always out of disinfecting wipes especially during covid and people using the gym. Also, rent goes up at least 17% every year. I am not recommending this place to any of my friends and family that are moving to Ocala. It was a lesson learned.
I have been living here for five years and the only thing that has gone up is the rent and down in the quality service. I am two weeks without air conditioning with a problem that started last June and instead of replacing the unit they have patched it until it sort of works. They decided it needed a new compressor and ordered it a day late then blamed the lateness on it due to Memorial day. For a part that could have been sourced locally. Then the part comes in the mail and then it turns out they need another part and cannot fix it til the next day because the maintenance supervisor is out.The grass is dead around the complex because they do not use the sprinklers, the pond is dry because they refuse to fill it and there is trash all over the parking lot. I do not know who is writing these reviews other than the parent company because if you surveyed the tenants you would hear a different story.
Recently toured here. Place was falling apart. Met several locals in the area who said they all moved out due to lack of maintenence. Pond fountain as broken. Pool filtration was broken leading to the water being a shade of green Ive never seen before. There was a dead frog and a bandaid floating in the pool along with other debris. Model unit we were shown had a broken cabinet door and the garbage disposal was missing probably used to fix another apartment. Sad to see such a beautiful complex fall into such disrepair. Hoping they turn it around because we were leaning towards actually moving here! Office staff were friendly and you could tell she was embarrassed at all the broken items. Felt bad for her and told her not to worry - not her fault.
From the start, this apartment complex has been such a hassle to deal with. 1)When I toured I was quoted one price, two hours later I did the application and within that time they upped the rent without telling me till they sent over the paperwork to sign it. 2)Then during move in they told me to have a certain amount in hand to move in, which I did have even to the last cent, then days later they call me to tell me I did not pay the full amount since they upped the renters insurance without warning nor did they grandfather me in since I was already told a specific amount. 3)The first month I was to pay rent my payment did not go through and instead of calling to let me know they waited till I called to ask why and still charged me a late fee not taking into account I had attempted to pay before that additional fee was added. 4)I am now breaking my lease and moving and did what I had to on my end and sent the email notice and did not hear from them until I called a month later to follow up. Then they want to still up charge me due to “late funds” when I never received the email from them with the link to pay. They said it was sent and it was my fault. It’s absolutely ridiculous that there has been 4 major issues in the 4 months i have lived here. The lack of communication from the complex is astonishing. It seems like they do it on purpose just to be able to charge late fees. And even through it all, they have not been apologetic in even the slightest way, but yet have continued to put the blame on me. Do your job and contact the resident when something is wrong! It’s really not a hard concept to grasp. I love the complex itself, beautiful property and great units, but 100% not worth the money since you’ll have to be doing the jobs of their employees when it comes to getting proficient customer service.
I love this complex. Definitely the best in Ocala, 5 star service and the pool in the summer is to dieeeee... ask for Diana she is literally amazing.. will provide you with the service you need and her level of professionalism is through the roof. If you are new to this city .. look them up!
Great apartments, clean, great area near hospitals and for every age.Pricey but worth it
We went to see family friend of my wife and had a wonderful time eating out and talking about old time and then nap and up to hit the highway
I will be moving into Deerwood Village in about a week, and am very excited! My leasing agent, Diana has been so amazing! She is very friendly and knowledgeable. She is the main reason I decided on Deerwood, over the competition. She made the entire process smooth and painless.I have dealt with enough leasing staff at other apartment complexes, to discern the qualities of kindness and professionalism. Diana, you exemplify both qualities greatly!
Miranda welcomes you and makes you feel like home each and every day starting from your initial tour. She makes sure you have everything you need and if something is faulty, she responds rapidly. Complex is beautiful and very well kept. Very pleased with deciding to move here. Thanks Miranda!
I’ve been living in Deerwood Village for approximately 2yrs. I love love love it out here. I love all the amenities that comes with it and the STAFF. I have gotten to know them and it feels like family. Mrs Bernadette is the property manager and I couldn’t be any happier dealing with her and the experience I have gotten this far. She’s such a loving and. Wrong person and makes it worth renting out here. The property is well kept and it’s very quiet out here.
I recently moved here two months ago. After living in hell in Augusta Georgia at one of the worst apartment complexes ever. I moved to the best apartment complex in Ocala. I absolutely love this place. The apartments are clean updated and spacious. The staff in the office are very attentive and very professional and very friendly. I would highly recommend this to any of my nurse Travel friends. Great place to live absolutely love it here
It may look all good on the outside but the staff there are Definitely not understanding especially in the times of Covid if your rent isn’t paid they charge you excessive amount of late fees you get notes on your door every other day like I said the outside looks nice but in the apartments themselves the buildings are so old the walls are cracking, I feel like they can cave in at any time . And for the amount of rent you pay here you would think they would be almost perfect apartments ! All I can say is I’m glad I’m out of here in a couple months, worst decision ever!
First in for most of all I would like to thank Miranda for all of her help and being such a caring person. She did an awesome job being professional and being informative the moving process she made very comfortable and stress-free and I really appreciate that I know that I will love it out here because it’s a beautiful neighborhood clean and the people are friendlyIt makes it so much easier to have somebody under stressful conditions make you feel comfortable and that’s exactly what Miranda did thank you so much
We have been waiting to move here for almost 8 months (had to get out of our previous lease). Cara, in the office is amazing. She always updated us and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. An amazing apartment right on the Lake. She worked hard on getting us a garage extremely close to us. I would recommend this place to anyone and talk to Cara for she will always make sure you get what you want.
I have lived here almost a year now. I love it here! Management is timely on responses to my questions and my apartment is beautiful and the upgrades are super nice. Pet friendly, too! I highly recommend Deerwood Village to anyone, young or old!
We just started working with Deerwood village property, I will say best staff ever! Especially Cara Felder! She is not only professional but cares about our guest who are due to move into the apartment. working with her and the staff has made our guest transition to Florida easy. They are always to there to answer our questions and go the extra miles, even assisting with getting our cable services set up. Top Notch service!
I absolutely loved this apartment due to my experience living here 8 years ago but not anymore. I’ve lived here for a month and have already had 7 work order request. My apartment was far from move in ready and was not properly walked. The garbage disposal had no blade when I moved in, the dryer won’t dry clothes, the dishwasher start button doesn’t work all the time. I’m over this for the amount of rent I pay to live in this small town my appliances should be top notch. I have never lived in home that I’m ready to move out of only after a month. I’d rather go back to my $2000 apartment in Clearwater. Don’t move here. The leasing agents are awesome and are all helpful but maintenance not so much. No one should have to call multiple times to get things fixed.
Cara was extremely helpful through what was a very abbreviated process. She definitely went the extra mile even going so far as to come in on a day off to make sure the move in could occur on the day it needed to for us. Throughout the entire process she was engaging and sincere about both her love for the community as well as how much we would love it. During the tour of the model she did everything to give us the information we need but also allow us to view the space with no pressure. All in all a terrific experience.
Diana was very helpful with helping us find the right apartment for us, as well as helping us get moved it, and showing us where everything is. So far its a great area with a great community, would recommend
Had a great experience working with Diana at the main office getting our questions answered and paperwork handled. Loving our view of the lake.
Cara was THE BEST to work with. I came in on a Saturday morning without an appointment and she was incredibly accommodating. She patiently waited as I toured apartments multiple times, took the time to spot clean the apartment I selected, and met me on her personal time to ensure that I could have a quick & easy move in. Deerwood is great, but it was really Cara that sold it. I was working through touring a long list of apartment complexes in Ocala and just knew this was it as soon as she greeted me in the leasing office.
The apartments are beautiful, and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. Diana always takes care of our needs.
GO EXPERIENCE THE DEERWOOD DIFFERENCE!!! From the moment I walked into the Leasing Office, Diana and Cara were AMAZING! They greeted me with such infectious smiles and bubbly attitudes. As I was on my tour, I noticed how well kept the property was and it seems like management truly cares about their property. From the fantastic amenities to the 24/7 lounge area (with UNLIMITED STARBUCKS coffee) I cannot wait to live here!!!
Deerwood has by far surpassed our expectations! The leasing process was so simple and staff is amazing. During our tour a few residents came into the office and both Diana and Cara knew each of them by name. It definitely made us feel like they are more than just an apartment community, but more like a family. I cannot wait to take my kids to their pool which is gorgeous! We are so excited to call Deerwood home for a very long long time.
Since moving into Deerwood, my experience has been nothing but stellar. From my first interactions with the office staff to requests from maintenance, everyone has been helpful and honest. The common areas are consistently well maintained and clean.Thank you Cara for all your help in making Deerwood home for this season of life.
Love the place so far. Had a great help from the leasing office. Cara was wonderful and helpful.
We would highly recommend Deerwood Village! From the first day we stepped into the office we have been treated exceptionally well. The office team is top notch and the most professional and hospitable that we have ever come across. The maintenance team is also very professional, friendly and everything is fixed very quickly (if we request a repair in the morning its done by the time we get home from work!) This makes for much easier living and no worries. We particularly love the view of the lake and all the birds. Whether you are retired and just want to relax and enjoy life or you are still young and working for a living or have small family - Deerwood Village is the best place to live.
Amazing place to live. Everything here is just wonderful from the well thought out apartments, beautiful landscaping and nature around the lake. Maintenance is always the same day and very professional. They go above and beyond all the time. The office is always filled with happy, smiling faces who never fail to greet me when I walk in even if its just to get some Starbucks coffee, which is complimentary! They take the time to get to know people and really make you feel like part of a family. This has been a wonderful experience and I hope to be here for years to come.
Had a number of inconveniences that delayed signing my lease, but throughout the entire process every member of the leasing office that I dealt with was patient with me and more than willing to help. Shout out to Cara, Bernadette, and Diana for being extra patient with me throughout the entire process. Thanks friends!!!
Current resident. A/C does not have capacity to sufficiently cool two Bedroom upstairs unit with vaulted ceilings. Management unwilling to replace with larger capacity newer unit. While walking the property I noticed other apartments do have newer larger units. Its the first month of summer and my a/c will not get cool enough so that I can sleep comfortably. For a $1300 luxury apartment I expect to be comfortable in my unit.
My wife and I just moved back to Ocala from the North GA mountains. We were a bit apprehensive to move into an apartment but this place is beautiful. My first visit to the office was nothing short of fantastic. Both Cara and Diana were very welcoming and professional. I called them with a request to help with WiFi connectivity and Diana spent 20 minutes on the phone with Cox...to no avail. After she got off the phone she continued to trouble shoot on her own and fixed the problem. Big shout out to Diana!!! You are the bomb.com! I highly recommend Deerwood Village Apartments to anyone looking for great apartment living that feels far from town but only a short drive to everything you need.
Place has really gone downhill since a new company took over. They lost our rent agreement, have raised everyones rent, and all while providing less services for the residents. My AC went out and they said they had no freon so I would have to wait until morning to have it fixed. They refused to call an AC company to fix the problem that night. They now make you sign in to use the pool, and you have to babysit any guests visiting you because they cannot use the pool alone. I have seen them pick favorites on who they mind or dont mind breaking this rule. I am ecstatic that I am moving out of this place into a new home. Would not recommend this place for the cost of rent.
Ive lived here 14 months and have signed a lease for 12 more months due to my positive experience here. The staff is great, the location is awesome (5 minute drive to downtown Ocala, 10 minutes to the mall), and the apartments are beautiful. Any issues Ive had have been resolved quickly and the maintenance team is always spot on. The apartments are quiet, spacious, and modern with a lot of nice features available. The dog park, gym, and walking paths around the lake and through the wooded areas are awesome amenities for an apartment in this price range. Overall, the most positive experience Ive had renting at an apartment complex. Highly recommended.
We stayed at Deerwood Village in Ocala, Fl and I have to say Bernadette the asst. manager was the most pleasant and helpful to us. She went out of her way to help in any way possible I will always appreciate her.
Current resident, moved here about 2.5 months ago. Front staff has been flexible and accommodating. Cara was excellent in helping us handle the leasing from several states away and having the apartment ready for us to walk into when we moved. We have had a couple of issues with the fridge breaking, toilet handle breaking, and wasps outside the door; maintenance has responded promptly to every issue and resolved it to our satisfaction.
The only place to live in Ocala for the recently heartbroken and mildly well-off.
We love living at Deerwood Village. It is very beautiful here with lots of nature and scenery. Very peaceful. Apartment home is excellent and very well take care of. People who work in the office are very attentive and helpful. Repair team is always prompt and courteous. They leave things clean and fixed very quickly.
This has been without a doubt the best apartment complex Ive ever lived at. The exterior look of the apartment buildings has always been gorgeous and the apartments are wonderful on the inside as well. I love the lay out and the recent renovations are fantastic. The staff is great too. The leasing team are always helpful and kind. Its been a great experience living here and Im proud to call Deerwood home.
Came and toured with Diana. She truly knows how to provide excellent customer service. She made my husband and I look forward to making Deerwood our next home. The community is very lucky to have her.
I have lived at Deerwood Village for a year now and my family and I absolutely love it from the office staff to all of the amenities this community is like no other I have ever had the opportunity to live. Starting from Sammy in the office I mean this guy will go above and beyond to make sure the residents are taking care of, he actually came to my apartment and helped me set up my cable and Internet and made sure everything was perfect before leaving and he always remembers our names even our dog he really makes us feel at home. Maintenance is great Jeff and the guys really are on top of things it really is a great place to live!
I have loved my stay at Deerwood since the new management took over. The front office is really nice and the manager, Jeanine, seems to care alot about us that live here. I really think the shining star here is the maintenance, Kyle has been so helpful with everything that I have had an issue with. He is quick and courteous! Thank you Deerwood Village I will be sad to leave at the end of my lease.
Beautiful community! Couldnt ask for a more professional or caring staff. Maintenance always done right and on time. Best value in the area!
I have been a resident at Deerwood village for almost 4 months and I can say this is one of the best places Ive lived in. As soon as I walked in the office, Sammy showed me around and made me gain his trust on me loving the place and has also helped me since I moved in with anything that I needed. He was very generous and even waited a couple of times for me after his shift to help me get signed in and is constantly checking up to see if I need something else. I am more than comfortable here and do not see my self moving out anytime soon. The places are brand new with very good people and an extremely quiet neighborhood. If anyone is looking for a place in Ocala this is the place to live.DEFINITELY GET A FIVE STAR ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Living at Deerwood Village Apartments by Cortland has been a wonderful experience for a person that has always lived in a large home all my married life. I recently lost my husband and decided to downsize from living in such a large place alone. I was hesitate at first not knowing anything about apartments, but to my surprise I moved into a wonderful and caring community. Everyone that works here is always there to help in anyway possible. The grounds are manicured and beautiful. There are always activities and perks for residents. The apartments are lovely and very well appointed. It really is a delightful place to live.
My wife and I could not be happier tenants. The leasing agents, specifically Andrew, Brittany, and Sam are so polite and pleasant to talk with. Maintenance is a top priority to the Deerwood Village team. Roger and his team does an exceptional job ensuring all of us having working appliances, day or night, keeping everybody happy. Jeanine, is a wonderful community manager. She puts together fun events for families to get outside in the sunny Florida weather. Most recently, we did a community wide scavenger hunt, and a pet of the month with amazing prizes. You may think the rent is high, but that quote you get what you pay for definitely applies here. Come and join us.
Decent place to live--its clean at least. The maintenance guys are helpful and do their work well. The front desk and leasing office are clearly in it for a paycheck from their corporate overlords. They are NOT your neighbors. They are not on your side. There is zero friendly feeling andbarely any courtesy involved. Read your lease contract CAREFULLY. There will be all sorts of stipulations and fees which will make your time there a nightmare. That attractive number they offered in the beginning? Try to remember those warm and fuzzies a few months down the line when youre trying not to scream with frustration at the outrageous sum they are milking from you. Good luck in your apartment search--you can do better than this place, pal.
I moved in here 4 months before getting married, because I believed this would be a great place to start my marriage. That was most definitely the case, this apartment complex trumps and other apartments I have ever lived in. The maintenance is on point everytime, theyre very quick to resolve things the minute you put in the request. The grounds are kept clean and tidy, the residents are respectful here. I live in a downstairs apartment and I cant tell I have neighbors upstairs. The apartments are beautiful, very well up to date, no funky smells. When I first moved in I had a few issues and the management team pulled out all the stops and got them fixed. Sammy has been the best management member here, I wouldnt have resigned my lease if it werent for him. There have been some times were i need somethings and they have pulled through. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE 100%
Excellent apartments, helpful and attentive staff, and great amenities. A+
Pros: Amazing Dog Park & Amenities. The kitchen is gorgeous and so are the hardwood floors. Pool is 24 hrs and nice walkway for pets. Maintenance is fast and efficient! Fernando was a pleasure!Cons: Initially we had an AC issue at which we reported to the front office. The front desk associate assured us that when she went into our unit prior to us getting there it was “perfectly fine”. She submitted our request at high priority and we didn’t get service for up to 3 hours. When calling into the office for an update they finally picked up after the third time calling and was given an attitude as if we were a burden. The maintenance worked fast and informed us the the AC was in fact burnt out and was replaced which made me think “did the associate even really go into our unit in the first place? Or was she just saving face?”. The AC was fixed all thanks to maintenance! There were roaches in the unit upon arrival but contacted pest control and will see how that goes.
Deerwood Village is the most amazing place ever!!! Everyone from the the office staff to the service techs are super professional and make you feel right at home as soon as you walk in the door. The community is beautiful and in a greater location. I have referred friends and family I just let them know to ask for Sammy hes been great and he is definitely an asset to this community!
The staff with Deerwood Village is amazing. We have been going through renovations which has been hard with the clubhouse down but the staff make up for it! Everyone is super sweet and answer any questions we might have. AND THE MAINTENANCE STAFF!!!!!! Oh goodness they are GOOD! Always courteous and happy to help in any situation. Ocala does not have many good places to live but the management here makes this a great place to live.
Family member leasing at Deerwood Village Apartments treated very poorly to date. The lease process has been inflexible and arduous. They lease is 18 ages. The leasing staff rationalizes: Well, my lease in California was 35 pages. Leasing Staff very demanding, stating: We treat everyone this way. We would be in violation of fair housing laws if we treated you differently. Leasing office staff failed to explain fully in plain English all of the requirements for occupacy, weekend office hours, the limited manner by which payment might be made, stating only: we sent a letter. No access provided to apartment because of leasing hours despite driving cross country on weekend. Inflexible demands made regarding payment despite weekend. Family member made to feel completely unwelcome. Had to stay in hotel. Had to spend extra money for U-Haul and for unloading team. Leasing office staff made it clear that their schedule and their family and their personal needs far exceeded any service that they might provide to a new tenant. When asked to speak to a more senior member of the team, leasing staff member replied that they will call you on Monday. It has been absolutely heartbreaking to observe the insensitive, bureaucratic, imperious attitude of this staff. I feel sorry for my family member. Renting at Deerwood Village Apartments appears to be a TERRIBLE decision. The stress that the leasing staff has caused has been truly awful.
I visited Deerwood Village and met with McKenzie Chewing. She was extremely friendly and informative. Although I loved the apartment, the community and all the services they provide to their tenants, it did not quite meet what I was looking for. This does not take away from all it offers and the great customer service. I highly recommend this place to anyone! Thank you so much McKenzie!
I have lived at Deerwood Village Apartments for sometime and have gone through some changes in the office. Really have not had any major issues with all the changes but, there is a new leasing agent named Cara and she is very rude and does not know how to make talk to residents in a pleasant way. I have over heard her talking to other residents about the office staff in a bad way which tells me she is not a good person.
Ive been living in Deerwood Villages for almost a month now, Thanks to Sammy Del Valle from the office he was more than helpful with my experience moving in. I cant wait to see the up coming new renovations to be finished its going to be great. I also had a family friend move into Deerwood Villages this past weekend because they were so impressed with my place.. Moving here was the best choice for my family..😄😄😄 Suzette Abed
Tried to reach them several times with no luck. Kept getting transferred to a central help desk. Took my money elsewhere. The leasing office needs to be easily accessible to new people.
Stop!! Dont waste your money or your time renting from here! Go somewhere else! They may be doing upgrades to the property and the apartments, but that does not take away from the rude staff, and the inability to get any work orders resolved. I have walked into the office on numerous occasions and no one was around to help me. On top of that your personal resident files will be sitting all over the desk, and anyone at any time can open your file and get your personal information from it. What happened to Privacy Policies?! (I have taken pictures to prove it!) The managers door is always closed and NEVER available to speak to me when I request to talk to her. I am not sure how she is a property manager. This place may be nice looking on the inside, but if you do not have proper management skills and a great staff then it will never succeed. I am so HAPPY I decided to move!!
Have lived here since April 15 2016 !!! The apartment is nice, but the office staff really needs to be friendlier. They seem as if you are doing them a favor !!! The only nice one I have had any dealings with that were even half way Tolerable was Britney. She always had a great smile, and would try to help but you can tell she working with a bunch of people she tolerates which I can understand the feeIing. Im sure we all haves been there !!!! The updates on the property seem like they are going to be nice !!! But most likely wont get to use them since it seems like theyre not going to be done until after I move out !!! I really like the close proximity to work, but for the price of the apartments, you can get a nice house with privacy, and a backyard !!! I waited to write this review just to make I could say this honestly this place could be a premier place if only they would find some people who care for people !!! Professional dealing with people you have to have some type of happy medium but so far I have not seen that out of the staff here !!! Thank you for your time !!!!
Nothing ever done on time, filthy apartment on my move in day, incompetent and lazy maintenance team. Front office can’t carry out their promises. Look elsewhere
We moved in during the change over from Cortland and the new company SPM. I have to say this could have been a horrible experience but Sammy the manager and Shelby have been terrific. They have made sure that our move in experience was not horrible and has really gone above and beyond. They are an asset to the community.
This has been one of the best places I have ever rented. They really take care of their tenets. Managment is great.
Do not rent here! The management is unorganized and terrible! They will bill you every chance they get. I was there for a year, in this time I was asked ( along with many other residents) to sign another lease because they lost my first one when a new management company took over. In the renewed lease, which I dropped off to them as they requested, it stated I would pay rent until my apt was re-rented. They rented my apt within 2 weeks and I didnt hear anything from them in almost a year. Then I get a letter from a debt collector that I owe $2200., after never hearing a word from them in all that time. They had my phone number, my email and address. When I called about it, they said they sent a certified letter, which they did not. They then were using my original lease (which they had lost) and are now making me pay this money after Ive been gone for a year. They are deceitful property managers. Stay away. The office keeps saying they “have all my paperwork” in the office. This is not true. I brought in an updated lease as they asked me too and now they don’t have it. UNPROFESSIONAL!
This complex was amazing! We walked in about 1pm the day after Thanksgiving 2017 and needed a place right then and there for my husband, myself and our 2 dogs! Our house had burned down that previous Monday. Sam was very patient with us as we were asking all our questions and he answered everyone of them. Sam had us moving what we had left to our name that night at 6pm. The apartment was very nice and quiet, along with our building and the surrounding area. I will forever recommend this place to anyone who asks!
I can honestly say the staff has been nice to me and even supportive. When there was a problem with my air conditioning the maintenance person always arrived within an hour and the whole year there have only been three occasions of having to call maintenance. I feel safe living here. I have had a lot of peace and quiet living here. I have generally been left alone unless I wanted to participate in something, which is very important and a much better situation than the other apartment complexes at which I have lived. There was one annual inspection. The grass is often mowed and the sidewalks are often blown off with the leaf blower. I live on a bottom floor. My apartment is very well-designed, pretty and filled with light from the windows. I enjoy walking around the lake. The bathroom is roomy enough with a very nice oval bath tub. Any negative things I could say would just be nit-picky things that are easily solved, like the trash-pick-up program having cans that are too small (I solve this by taking out my own trash which is easy since the dumpster is conveniently located) and not dealing with an injured lake duck (This is easily solved since UF small animal clinic takes injured ducks for a very small donation but you yourself have to catch the duck. The duck recovered.). I can honestly say that I have enjoyed living here more than I have enjoyed living at any other apartment complex. I have lived in many, many places before here and feel that Deerwood Village is without a doubt superior. Deerwood Village gives me the security, peace, quiet, and comfort I desire and truly need.
The leasing and moving in process went very well thanks to my leasing agent Cara Felder who was very polite and readily accessible for any questions I had.
Awful customer service. As a current resident whenever I call the leasing office no one ever picks up the phone and it always goes to voicemail. They do have garbage valet and a lot of times they won’t even take your trash. The maintenance people are extremely extremely rude and awful. They will barge into your apartment, won’t take their shoes off. It’s not worth the price. They scam you with utilities. No one was even home for half a month so none of the utilities were being used but was charged close to $300 that month. You will regret living here, it’s not worth it. The new management is extremely cheap. Has cancelled yoga, and other services that were provided. Your mail gets thrown in the leasing office which you have to go and get. Nothing worth the price here. They usually close the front office earlier and try and leave before working hours. They also have a huge huge pest problem. Cockroaches, ants and wasps inside the apartment all the time. Just awful and dirty place to live.
Love, Love, Love living here. BUT if you have noisy neighbors (or more specifically their darn dog), you will no recourse. The property manager will do nothing about the incessant barking. But the view is beautiful, the pool inviting (and never a crowd of people), and amenities galore! There is a small but cute playground for the kiddos, a pool table, ping pong table, coffee bar, nice 24-hour workout area, and a car wash area. Im very happy here, except for that dang dog.
Excellent community I am new in the complex. The process to lease are very nice and the people of the office are very good!!! In special Sammy del Valle the assistant manager. Perfect place for live. Thank you Deerwood for the opportunity.
I would not recommend these apartments. They are very unprofessional and take their time with maintence requests. The price you pay monthly is not worth the treatment you get when there’s a problem. If I knew what I know now, I would have never looked their way.
Miss living here so much! Had to move because of a job transfer but this was by far the best apartment experience Ive had. Gorgeous apartment, beautiful grounds and the most helpful and professional office I have ever encountered. Oh how I miss my view of that lake!
Great amenities and clean. Also, staff very quick to address any issues or help with anything you may need. If youre looking for a place to call home this is it!
My wife and I lived here 1 year before moving away from Ocala. It was by far the best Apartment complex we have lived in. They recently renovated all of the units and were constantly adding upgrades to the grounds/facilities. We had the normal and expected work orders (dead batteries in smoke detector for example) and they were always fast to respond and get them fixed. We would recommend the place to anyone looking to rent in Ocala.
I have lived at Deerwood for awhile now and not only is my apartment beautiful but the staff is just as great. Any time I need help with something the maintenance staff Takes care of it almost immediately. Love it here!!!!!
Did not tour..
Looks like a nice, quite place to live. Playground and also park very close. These are based on your income. Close to several restaurants.
Very nice apartments and neighbourhood. Very helpful frontdesk and maintenance staff. Awful lease renewal policy. Not worth it.
I’m a current resident and my wife and I absolutely regret signing a lease here. The people in office are never available to help with issues and they are quick to charge for anything they can. The payment system is terrible as well I’ve paid my rent and get charged out of wrong account each time.
Horrible manager (Tracy). I was warned by others, but decided to learn on my own. She has had no less than 6 or 7 assistants since I arrived in 2013. Dont be fooled by the doe eyes, the smile and the sincere tone. hmmm
Overall splendid experience! Excellent service, superb community. Highly recommend.
My Husband & I have lived @ Deerwood Village for a year now. We could not ask for any better. Every Staff member & every Technician that works here is AMAZING! The Amenties are great, pool, workout facilities, a pond with wildlife just to mention a few things. Our Apt. is great granite sink tops in bathrooms & kitchen. Im not sure why anyone wouldnt want to live here. Its like living in the City but being on Vacation. Live Love Laugh here enjoy Life while you can might as well do it @ Deerwood.Maggie Hinkle
My brother lives in the apartment complex and its a beautiful place. Im still trying to figure out how you get to the second floor on some of the units.
We moved here in September of 2016. We had a street view apartment. After much consideration and thought, we decided on a lake side apartment. The office staff, especially Jeanine, Sammy and Brittany could not have been more helpful. Beth McDonough and her crew did a fabulous job on the renovation. Roger Bryant and his team are the best when it comes to problem solving. We are so genuinely happy here. Our rescue furbaby is happy too. #306 is our home. Thank you to all you.
Ive been living here for a year now and I absolutely love it the staff is very nice and friendly I would go to the office just to talk to them they treat you like family not just tenants very safe complex they encourage you to make your apartment feel like home you can decorate it not many complex allow you to do so I cant wait to see the finish product of the renovations they keep you inform every step of the way about everything thats going on overall this is a very beautiful peacefull family orientation complex if you have questions they are willing to answer them any problem they are right on it the maintenance team is A1 I love living here!!!!
My fiancé and I are moving into Deerwood Village in a couple of days now and cannot wait! Our leasing agent Cara Felder has been so incredibly helpful, responsive and patient through out the entire process and I couldn’t have asked for any better!
Very nice apartments, but not worth the price. Also, if you ever try and contact the front office, they will tell you they will call you back, and forget to call you back... Every single time.
I love this community, it is very quiet, plus the beautiful panorama that the lake offers right outside the door of my home, is beautiful, and luxurious! I love living in Deerwood village
I really loveMy new place it’s very fancy I love it 😍 beautiful neighborhood people are amazing at this place
We have lived here several months now, and we love it. Staff and residents are friendly, and maintenance issues are handled promptly. So glad we chose Deerwood!
Just moved in 2 weeks ago and couldnt be happier. Its hard to decide what is more pleasant, meeting the awesome staff and new neighbors or get to enjoy all the facilities and activities
We love our home . we have been living here for more than one year . the staff is friendly and great !
