My A/C was making a big noise inside & outside unit. It was no longer cooling. I did some research on line & Ponds Heating & Cooling sounded like what I needed so thats who I called that morning. Spoke with the receptionist & explained what was going on. She told me she would send someone out & they would call me on the way. Ted called & arrived right on time. He was polite & knowledgeable. He told me I had a bad Blower Motor & he took care of that. I told him I want 6 month maintenance with Ponds so he checked to make sure everything was good. We had an A/C Problem very early on a Saturday morning about 2 am. We are new to our home and this area and called Ponds based on recommendations on line and also they had serviced the previous owners.We called about 8:45 am Saturday morning at the main office number and we were directed to call a different number for Ted who was on call. We spoke to Ted at 9:00am and he said he would arrive in an hour to an hour and a half. It was just over an our and he was here. In less then 30 minutes the capacitor was replaced, system checked, and house cooling beautifully. We were given the figures before he arrived on the projected amount of the call and for a weekend visit and parts very very reasonable. Service and knowledge were excellent and we signed up for the yearly service plan while he was here. He explained everything in full detail.We have been in Ocala for 6 months and are very happy we have signed on with Ponds.

Tech was friendly and knowledgeable. There was no trying to up-sale or do any work that was not needed. Trustworthy would be a good description of Ponds Heating and Cooling.

Ponds installed a Mitsubishi ductless wall-mounted indoor unit on 02/22/2017. We had it serviced twice since then on 03/14/2018 and 05/05/2020. both times water dripping from the fan blades prompt the service call. On the first call the serviceman cleaned the drain line and the problem was solved. I was charged one hour labor, $85. On the second call the serviceman not only cleaned the drain line but also cleaned the blower wheel. I was charged one and half hour labor, $127.50 Both servicemen showed a high quality of professionalism. I have recommended Ponds to several of my friends and they were pleased also. Sam LaCerba

I just had a Mitsubishi Mini split unit installed by Ponds Heating and Cooling and I have to say from beginning to end of installation it has been an exceptionally great experience. Mr. Harold comes out to do the evaluation. He goes over all your concerns, goes over the unit that he selected how it will be installed and all the costs involved which include the unit and installation of the unit and the permit which they pull. He points out costs for the electrician and gives an estimated installation day knowing that permitting is the longest and questionable part. They make sure the electrician is on site completing their part while the mini split is being installed. When the guys came, DJ and Ross were exceptionally good at what they did. Meticulous work, professional, personable and polite. They took care of the property, went over the installation and operation of the unit and they made sure I was completely satisfied before they left. Im very happy and happy to recommend them.

I have an annual contract with Ponds. They made an appointment for 12:30, called prior to arriving, and arrived on time. Ted, was my service tech. He changed the filter, flushed the evaporator tubing checked the electric and electronic circuitry, and added some refrigerant, leaned the coils and exteriorunit throughly.Needless to say I’m quite happy with the service Ponds, and Ted, provided.

I had a tech come in for air conditioning maintenance today and he was very efficient, explained that the condenser needed replacing brought his meter in to show the results and what the meter should read at and what it was reading at. No sales pitch pressure suggested it should be changed let us make up our own minds with info provided. helped reprogram our thermostat was very helpful, I would recommend using Ponds without a doubt.

I called Ponds because my air was not working. The technician came out the same day. Unfortunately, after a thorough inspection he determined I needed a new unit. He fully explained why a recharge of coolant would not work and my options for the new unit. He was able to get a crew out to me the next day to install. DJ and Russ were the techs that came out to install. They were on time, friendly, and cleaned up the area after they were done. They then walked me through the new thermostat and went over other important information. I would highly recommend Ponds for any heating and cooling needs.

My parents used Ponds after they moved to Florida in 1990 and I continued in 2011 when I moved into the home that they had occupied. Ponds has provided great service at this location for 20 years. The servicemen have always been punctual, polite and proficient.

On Sunday, the day before Labor Day, I realized my AC was not operating properly. Assuming Ponds would be closed on Labor Day (as they should) and with the possibility of impact from Hurricane Dorian, I assumed it would be a long wait. On Monday morning I left a message with Ponds. At about 11:30 Tuesday morning I received a call from one of their maintenance personnel asking if they could come right over. Fifteen minutes later they were here, resolved the issue. The service rep was cordial, polite, friendly and made me feel important to them. This was the second time over the years I have had an urgent need and they came through once again. I highly recommend Ponds.

AVOID! Cody (the only other reviewer) is related to Harry Ponds...the fact that they write their own reviews will provide excellent insight into their character...or lack thereof! We were long-time clients and used this service since Harry was a one/two man company working out of his truck. We used them for all our rentals and have sent dozens of people their direction over the years for both major installs and small repairs...NO MORE and NEVER again!We put up with a lot but never dishonesty and lack of integrity. Last repair (under warranty) was in December...its June and STILL waiting on them to return to finish the work. They took a part (under warranty) then direct wired and never return to do the job right. Its a hazard, they cut corners and then lie about it by saying we didnt return messages. We offered the owner (Harry Ponds) Proof with 5 months of phone receipts that logs every single call (even those not answered)...shows exactly 0 calls from them...dozens from us. He doesnt want to hear that and then his office REFUSED to make a follow-up appointment unless we pay again. Still have the written receipt showing a return visit (for free since they didnt have the parts the first time) and of course...no follow up, no final repair, nothing. They take the parts and leave the client with the inferior quick fix.So, bottom line...lack of integrity, short-cuts and sending in parts for warranty but leaving the client with old/hot-wired and spares is the new name of the game for this company.

I trust the service technicians and have found that Ponds puts the customers interest first. When another firm I had been using told me I had to replace the system I asked Ponds for a second opinion and was told my system was not at the point it had to be replaced. There is no communication breakdown. You wanted to be a wise guy when I called you up, you told me you would come out & put in the warranty part for another $85 service call. I am looking online on Amazon for capacitors & the most expensive one I can find is $50. Others are around $20. You wanted me to pay $127.50 service call to do nothing & wait to come back a week later so you can charge me another $85 to come & put the covered part in and I am to be without A/C until you ordered the part? I understood completely the situation. I thought we could work it out being we should have received a free 10 yr warranty part You turn around & put in a 1 year part and charged me . I thought we would be able to work this out. Dont try to twist it around, you were trying to railroad me that no matter which way I turned I was going to be charged that $85. This is a done deal.

Had a problem with an AC unit not cooling my house. They arrived on time, diagnosed the problem quickly, and then returned within a few hours with the part which was still under warranty and repaired my system immediately. Great job and very efficient technicians.

I purchased a unit the later part of 2012, Ive had warranty work done last month, the air went out again, I called Ponds & talked to Cody, he was able to look up problems in the past & after me telling him what was happening he was able to determine the most likely problem .....thanks to his thinking ahead he was able to fix my air on this trip. We all need to remember that we can have problems with anything new or old ( used to things were made to last but now we are a throw away society ). Ponds work very hard to take care of any problems you have. I would highly recommend them.

New home purchase and service call needed. We had used Ponds before and found their service to be very good. Ponds responded in a timely manner and Jimmy came out and he was great. Seems the A/C instructions had come unglued from the panel over time and got clogged in the fan. Will put them in my calendar for an annual service call
