We have been using Mid-Florida soon after we purchased this home 3 years ago. Our first experience with another company was very poor, since they attempted to say our system required replacement when it was only a sensor that shut down the compressor. These folks are very honest a d told us when discovering the sensor issue that the system was only 7 years old and was far from requiring replacement. We have since had them install a split unit wall unit in our lanai with wonderful results. They do semi-annual maintenance and have Ben a pleasure to work with.

Office staff promises one thing, but when the technicians come out its a totally different story. We were told it would be part of our annual maintenance (free) for them to install a new thermostat and yes, we specifically asked this question anticipating cost.. Turns out it costs 125 as we found out when the tech arrived. They have a history of this with us. I do not mind paying, but I just want a company to be straight forward about it.

Just wanted to share with you the professionalism of this company. The person they sent(Ken M.) was fantastic and very prepared to deal with our issues. Very polite and very well informed on his AC unit mechanism experience. The only downside of this company is their pricing, especially if you are not on their maintenance agreement. Other than that they are awesome.

So far we are very pleased. Wes did a great of job of explaining how things would go from start to finish. He also provided through review of the companys policies and all of our options.we especially appreciated that he was in no way pushy and answered all of our questions. The 2 gentleman that did our actual installation arrived promptly (actually about 15 minutes before they were due) and were very courteous. They cleaned up after themselves and did not leave our home a mess.

John was amazing! I was impressed with his technical knowledge and skill. He discovered my upstairs unit was not working properly and traced down the reason why is had never worked properly. When it was originally installed the duct work in the rear of the unit had not been connected properly and was blowing the cold air under the unit. The unit is in a very tight space and John took his phone, reached around and behind the unit, taking a picture of the back. The photo revealed a large hole in the back. Otherwise, it would have required removing the entire system to learn this. I have to add John is a very personable young man which made the bad news less painful.

Called Mid Florida Heating & Air for help with my HVAC unit at my home yesterday. On the phone I was told a $99 service fee. When they came out, they told me I needed a whole new 3 ton AC/heating unit at a cost of over $5,000!! They made it sound like I needed it now!!! Of course, I felt high pressure to sign the contract, and I said I needed to get the money together. So, being the senior citizen I am, I called Chuck Ferrell Heating & Air and they came out today and found I needed a spring inside the thermostat. The charge was $50. So, I’m here to warn others that if this company tells you that you need an entire unit, tell them to take the high road (and be honest) rather than taking the low road and ripping off seniors. I feel they should return my $99, too!!! Wow! If you take a closer look at all these reviews and you will see that Mid-Florida is recommending replacements of big units with payment plans. They told me about a replacement plan yesterday, too, at a cost of $100 per month! My total repair bill with Chuck Ferrell today was $50!! TOTAL!!! So open your eyes and get a second opinion when this company demands a $99 service fee AND wants you to buy a new unit when it is NOT needed!!!

I was very pleased with Mid Fla Heating & Air service from the time we called the office for service, to the technician Josh who came out to do repairs to Max Hoyt who helped us make the decision on what we needed to do and the guys who installed the unit. (*Kudos to the installers who had to work in this heat to install unit) Each person were very easy to talk to, they were very knowledgeable when it came to answering all our question and helped us make the right decision on the purchase of our air conditioning. All employees who we dealt with were polite and courteous and professional. I think anyone who uses their service will be very pleased with this company. Thank you for great service

Very happy with Mid-Florida Heating & Air service call. We called during the week, mid morning that our air was not working. Heather was quick to have someone out to the house within an hour of our call. Thank you Heather for calling us back so quickly and scheduling the service call so fast! Chris was great! He took the time to show us what was wrong, explained how he had to fix it and what it was going to cost. Job was done within the hour and BAM we had air working again! We are very grateful they were able to service us so quickly! Lord knows we cannot survive without air in Florida in the Middle of the summer. I know who I am calling if anything goes wrong with my air or heat... Mid Florida... you can depend on them!

10/10 experience. We called late at night and were able to get an appt for the next day at 11 am. John arrived promptly with all tools needed to complete the job. Our blower motor went out in the air handler. John didn’t hesitate to go up into the attic and start the process to get us back up and running. He took the time to explain what happened and answered any questions we had. Very thankful. Everyone we spoke to was friendly, knowledgeable and had complete follow through. Awesome experience given the (sweaty) circumstances.

Mike and Jesses were great! They came as scheduled, worked hard in the heat all day and when they were done it looked like the new unit had always been there. They did not mess up the landscaping and made allowances for my sprinklers even though the new unit was bigger than the old one. They cleaned up all the cardboard and left the jobsite pristine. They cleaned up and came in to make sure everything was running properly and showed me how to operate the new thermostat. I world recommend these guys any time. Great job!

Had my ductwork replaced today by Eric and Jesse. Both very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The price was excellent as well. They had the job done in just under 4 hours. All new registers were included. My unit also wouldnt fire back up when they were done. Eric took a look and found the problem right away. It was a blown fuse (unrelated to there work). He gave me a new fuse free of charge and the unit kicked right on. The cold air feels amazing. Just in time for summer! Will definitely be using Mid-Fla for all my HVAC needs!!

Chris was soo amazing. I had a diagnostic done which my gracious friends paid for. My husband became terminal this month and so many unexpected expenses occured. This week our ac went out and I was told my hubby only had a week left..I went to my bedroom and said, God you know my needs..what now...a knock came on my door and the ac company had compassionately fixed the issue. I was not impressed with their sales pitch at all. The technician had a pre made sales effort that consisted of 1. Dont do anything (not much of an option in FL summer) 2. Fix the ac (replace contacts, capacitor and starting capacitor) for $800 bucks or so and 3. new system for 5k. Being in sales myself I recognized a hard sale. I took the information I paid for and purchased a new set of contacts and a capacitor (starting capacitor was not needed) for $70 and carefully replaced them myself in a little over an hours time. A fair company would have marked up the two pieces I needed and charged me an hours labor. Have never used them again nor would I.

Very dissatisfied customer, did not fix problem, $139 to clean out drain pipe and cement 2 pvc fittings to stop water leak. Did not fix problem. Returned later that day and now says its a dirty coil and cleaning will cost over $400. Plus a $89 diagnostic fee. already pay to this company 258.00 today and want another 460.00They lie - it was suppose to be fix - say he will credit the 139.00 that he charge for clean/adjust drain Line with water and now there is more water running everywhere in the garage so obviously did not do and he agree also told him that I do not want then to return to my home and he say he will credit the additional 30.00 leaving only the 89.00 initial charge.He came back want me to sign a paper.There was not credit as he offered he said I will not crediting anything today you will need to call the office .I will be disputing the charges if they not give me my money back .Dont trust what they tell you, unfortunately I was not home when they came and they took advantage of the person that I left there. as I would have not let them go or pay until seeing the issue fix.

I met with Annette late this afternoon with my wife and being that I have also sold HVAC service contract in the past, I was quite impressed with her total knowledge on talking about the system I needed. She showed me rebates, savings using the 16 seer system, not needing noncapacitors with the new technology out there. She explained your total security guarantees, 24/7 service, all of the parts I would be receiving in a new HVAC system. Overall, a great sales presentation, with a reasonable cost, that I am considering. I always go out for 3 bids for a major purchase, but your company I find to have great techs, which also is a consideration. You should feel fortunate to have a great salesperson like Annette working for you

No Complaints, in fact every aspect of the office staff to the technician and service was as good as it gets. I would give it a five star rating however I found much of the complaints here on Google to be accurate in that this IS a Heating and Cooling company interested in sales. The upside to that is a trained staff with consistency. Not everyone wants to be greeted like the ol Kirby door to door vacuum cleaner salesman. Perhaps there should be a note taken by this company to change the order of their pitch upon arrival....lets see how we can help you today, whats wrong, and then the options...My story and happy ending? My very senior mom who used to handle these tasks with ease has become hesitant and insecure around repairs and maintenance. We have established a good repore with several people that take wonderful care of her. When her heat went out in December, that wonderful company was not available for a couple of days. Based on recommendations on my Next Door app, we called Mid-Florida. The office was compassionate and understanding. They also had a busy schedule but due to the large fleet, were able to respond within hours.I spoke to the technician, knowing mom would be hesitant and over the phone, he was a bit too confident in handling the delicate situation. His delay in arrival was backed up by a phone call. I honestly did not believe his story but then again I managed a fleet of technicians from a home service company and I have heard all the stories. Either way, he called and the delay was not disruptive to us.Upon arrival, mom says he was mentioning a new furnace. Indeed ours has outlived its normal life however we have other plans in the near future. We needed heat for mom! It turned out that Amerigas had erred in their system and her senior auto refill of propane never happened and she was out completely.The technician checked everything thoroughly, complimented my mom on her clean and well maintained furnace, noted what could be a problem in the future and showed her what to look for, then called me and apologized more than once that he had to bill me for the service call.Was this a perfect, old fashioned experience? Close. Our generation will miss the personalized services we grew up with since the smaller mom and pop companies have continued to disappear. Something to value in the next generation is a company determined to train and educate their employees to provide consistency to all customers. Note: like doctors, some of their bedside manner takes experience....give em a chance to get there! This company is really working on it! If you dont want to buy, dont. But I suggest listen openly to the options and knowledge to see if the upgraded technology will save you money in the long run and decide. I did not find them hard sell and not interested in repair. I found they did their repair service well, while providing the information that may lead to a sale.

Kosha was probably the most polite service person I have ever dealt with. Everything thing was yes sir and no sir and he took the time to answer my stupid questions without hesitation. Kosha went on about his business installing the new HVAC system in my home and was never not busy. He was very methodical in site prep, leveling the system, and wiring the system. When the install was complete and running he stayed to make sure both components were working properly. Each time he had to enter the house he put on protective booties to keep the floor clean and when he went back outside he removed them to be sure they did the job there were meant to do. After the project was complete, Kosha cleaned up after himself, sweeping the floor (I think it is cleaner now than when he arrived) removing all debris and double checking all work completed. Would I hire this service again..A huge yes and I would request Kosha as the service tech I want.Great Company!!!!!

If you call with a broken a/c it seems like all they really want to do is sell you a new unit. After they tried to push us into getting a new unit we called another company for a second opinion and they were able to fix our a/c in about 15 minutes. We have a 18 month old baby in the house, and instead of taking 15 minutes to fix the a/c he gave us an overpriced quote to try and convince us to get a new unit. The price he quoted us was almost 3 times higher than the price of the other company charged us for the repair.Giving them credit where it is due, they are very fair with their after hour pricing (after 5pm). They dont charge any extra fees to come out after 5pm or even at 2am. Unfortunately for them the lost out on doing business with us because they went in for the kill. If you are dealing with Mid-Florida, I highly recommend getting a second opinion before you make any significant decisions about your A/C.

11/04/15...This is the second time I have reposted my review, lets see how long it stays up this time!Very pleased with your tech Wes. Very disappointed with your level charging system. Never expected to be paying such an outrageous charge of $303 ($89 Diagnostic Fee) and Level 2 charge of $214 just to determine it was an evaporator coil leak which took the tech 10 minutes to identify with a sniffer. Any other company would include all this in initial trip charge and diagnostic fee of $75.Then I was slammed with a $3115 evaporator coil and biflow filter dryer charge plus $187.50 for refrigerate, TOTAL: a staggering $3724.50. Thank goodness the tech advised me to buy their service plan for and additional $119 otherwise it would have been an additional $468! Who can afford such outrageously high charges?Steer clear of this company unless you just have money to burn. I will do my best to spread the word about Mid- Fla throughout The Villages and the Ocala area.RC Mole

BEWARE!!! Mid-Florida Heating & Air quoted work to my wife at $1640 when Patricks H&A did the same work for $360; over a 450% difference. The AC unit was under warranty so the pricing was mostly labor.
