Doesnt even deserve a start! I went there last night to get a no-chip mani-pedi done for a special occasion today and I regret every penny I paid! My no-chip looks horrible!!! It started melting away today as I showered! Never in my life had I experienced such thing!! My toes I had to redo this morning and I had polish all over!! Wally did a horrible job!! Very vey poor quality work! Wouldnt waste my money! The nails dont even have a gloss they are so flat!!!! Im beside myself!!!

The young ladies that work here Daja, and Melissa. They are very knowledgeable about their work. Just let them know exactly what you are looking for or want. I love getting the dip for my nails.These ladies are very friendly and welcoming.I recommend that you make an appointment, so that you not sitting around waiting.

This place is amazing! When you come here please ask to get your nails done by Lewis. He does the best job and Empress provides such a friendly atmosphere, plus my nails are amazing every time

Really liked this place, my 3 daughters and myself had our nails done and we couldnt ask for better service. Ladies there are very attentive and professional, even to my 7 year old. Will definitely go back there!

I used to go here in hs for dances and they always did a good job. New owner uses personal number for contact so email is the only way to reach them. I had a groupon but isnt worth it since both the regular pedicure and no chip manicure lasted a week, maybe.I had an appointment but the tech decided to run an errand, got stopped on the way back, and rushed through the process. The nails were lumpy and uneven. Spend your money elsewhere.

This will never happen again. This place is so unprofessional and after going back and forth with my appt. I was 10 mins late they tried to cancel for the fourth time. I wasnt having it. Now I will skip my comments on the young lady that did my nails. what I will say is they will never see me again. My child could have done better

I have been to many nails shops in my pass but none of them can be compared to EMPRESS NAILS at 6949 W. North Ave. In OAK PARK. Daja my nail technician she was FANTABULOUS very pleasant attitude. In fact the whole staff is great. And the best thing ever they specialize in healthy nails. NO RUSH JOB HERE. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍I WILL CONTINUE TO COME BACK.

Can it be given no stars? I’m crying such a horrible pedicure never again in my life. 17$ down the drain. As soon as I saw the outcome of my pedicure I said I had to go I was definitely not about to proceed to my no chip manicure. GARBAGE. The lady was very nice but that doesn’t justify the horrible job she did. I wanted to try out new places and I found a Groupon you definitely get what you pay for.. I will continue to pay $60 for a good job rather than the cheaper route for something I would’ve done a better job at myself.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Rude and condescending from the time I called to make an appointment to the abrupt cancellation text I received on the afternoon of my appointment. With so many fabulous places dont waste your money here. The co-manager Michelle needs some serious lessons in customer service.

Scheduled an appointmemt for 5:30 with deja however when I arrived my appointment was not written down so I had to wait. I did not leave until 8 after a fill-in and pedicure. Did not like the pedicure nor the black carpet which showed all of the lint. Place could be more aesthetically pleasing.

I made an appointment for 6pm. i confirmed my appointment. got there, checked in before 6. was told to go soak in the pedicure tub someone would be with me shortly. i sat there waiting for TWO HOURS. walk ins were taken care of before i was!! what was the point of making an appointment then???i sat in the back being told every 15 minutes that someone would be with me shortly. i bought a groupon for this location, which was redeemed as soon as i walked in, so i felt leaving would have been a waste of money. when i was finally seen, my services felt rushed. terrible expericence.

I ordered a groupon. When I went in to receive my mani pedi the woman was very rude and said she was leaving. She had another job to go to. Even though, the hours stated that they would be open for 5 more hours. She was very unapologetic and basically was like oh, youre bad. I would NOT recommend.

I love this place. My aunt and I have continued to come since the new owners. They dont rush, its not about the time its about the work. Each time I go the manager does mine and I always recemmond.

Please please please!!!! Whatever you do, please don’t buy a Groupon for this salon because they will not honor it. I purchased a Groupon almost 2 weeks ago & still cannot make an appointment!! They are unprofessional, don’t respond to emails or voicemail. On top of that Groupon doesn’t want to give me a refund!! When you to support your own this is what happens!!!!

I absolutely not recommend this place. At Thursday that did my nails, and at Saturday everyone was chipped . I redo my nails like at Monday, and today is Friday, and again my nails is chipped. I am so sad about that. Girls first you have to learn how to do, and the open a salon, and do everything else. Girls keep yourself off this salon, because they are not professional people of their job.

My friend purchased the Groupons one for her and one for me. I wish I could have saved my friend the money that she spent on these. I wish I could rate them a Zero, but the lowest is a 1.We had appoints schedule as its recommended. The nail technicians we friendly, but by no means were they professionals. We went in for a Regular Pedicure and No Chip Manicure. They had to share nail clippers, the brush to clean excess nail polish was also shared. My nail technician didnt even paint my toe nails, the other nail tech did it.Within an hour my No Chip manicure chipped, within a few more hours it chipped some more. My toes looked terrible.My nail technician was the Manager and mentioned several times how she hated being so busy because of the specials they were advertising multiple times. In todays world the competition is vast in this field, you would think they would love the potential new customers form their specials. The interior can use some major upkeep.Ladies, save your money!! I would not reccomend this place not even to my worst enemy. I will have to get my Mani & Pedi done again. I did tip because its the right thing to do but not because I was happy with my nails.

My no chip looks like i painted them myself. It took 1hr and 45mins for a regular pedicure and no chip manicure. The lady doing my nails was talking on the phone during the whole manicure portion using curse words.

I set up two separate nail appointments with Empress Nails and each time I showed up to the scheduled appointment (on time) the nail salon was closed with no personnel on site. I will never attempt to go to this salon again.

I stated hello, i have a Groupon voucher and i would like to make a appointment. She told me she was close, which is strange because the hours are till 7:30pm. I told her wow you are rude. They never answer the phone! Save yourself and don’t buy a groupon for here, there color selection is small and getting an appointment with them is awful, I had to call all day and they never answered the phone.

Worst service for a no chip and pedicure.Ok so tried booking my no chip on their website, never got a confirmation.so went to the salon and it was not open as advertised business hours..went down the street to a hot dog shop the owner owns to make an appointment...I show up pick my colors and the work is,TERRIBLE

Two stars because the girls were super nice. Zero stars for everything else. Bought a Groupon to treat myself for my birthday and should’ve heeded other warnings. Showed up 5 mins before my appointment but waited 45 mins to be seated. The facility needs updating and a good clean. Not a great selection of colors and paid extra for shellac so I’d last longer. Toes dried the entire time I got my nails done and had a major smear by the time I got home. Didn’t realize until later that the toenails weren’t even cut. On nails, the cuticles had polish on them thus causing them day 2 to start chipping and peeling off. Last complaint is I had to argue price. They wanted to charge me $7 more than what the groupon said, that was annoying. Anyhow, genuinely sweet girls but service, atmosphere and quality work wasn’t there. I won’t return.

Horrible! Very disappointed. No color swatches available... had to open bottles to view colors.Very unprofessional. Nail techs were on phones and complaining about how sick and tired they were and how they wanted to go home.As for the mani pedi... didn’t ask before cutting. Didn’t clean under the nails. Did not cut cuticles! Burned me with the UV light (no chip) and the outcome... looked horrible!Nail tech flat out said she was not good at French, but insisted she was going to do it.Waste of time and money!

First impression of the shop was that it was new and overall can use some better Decour and paint . I decided not to judge and go ahead with my No chip mani and peddicure appointment . Second thing that I thought was odd was that they had no color samples you had to choose from a bottle which does not reflect the color very well . The staff was friendly but the nail technician to me was not very experienced and after the service I wonder if she was even certified technician . She acted surprised and told her self good job when she did my nails and they came out OK . The no chip was ok she could have done a better job with the filing and cutting. The pedicure was terrible the very first day and nail polish was smudged and chipped. Overall if they would like to be successful I think they need better training staff and spruce up the overall image of the place .

I had acrylic nails for such a long time and my nails were getting so bad, I first saw this place when I got a groupon and they were so friendly and nice . I started coming back again and ever since my nails have gotten a lot healthier before they were so brittle and now the gel polish goes on so smooth ! I am now more confident with my nails !
