Bill, i believe was his name, was the man in charge when i was there. He was super nice, personable, and not at all pushy with the extra services that provide. Made the process of getting an oil change relatively quick and a pleasant experience. Easily earned 5 stars!

AVOID! Terrible experience! First oil change they screwed up and I had huge oil leaks; had to replace my own oil just to get it back to the Valvoline in Novi for them fix. Then they performed a 2nd oil change. Seemingly no major issues. Then I used my free/complimentary oil change again many months later (voucher provided for the horrible first oil change). Since that time Ive apparently had an increasingly worsening oil change (AGAIN) but didnt know for some time. Had to have another non-Valvoline shop look at it and they explained to me Valvoline had either destroyed the gasket or neglected to tell me it badly needed replaced. AVOID this location!!

Perfect place in the area for a quick oil change! They check tire pressure, battery and washer fluid as well completely free of charge. The entire oil change procedure took just 19 minutes for me (including pulling the car into garage, the payment) and only cost about 70$! (Make sure to keep your coupons from last visit to save money on the next visit)

Place is going down hill with the new help they hired here. 1 was lazy and looked like she was in the clouds and the other didn’t seem to know how to do things. Sad, this place used to be top notch.

I was in the area when my check engine oil light came on. They were the nearest oil change center to my location so I pulled in. The technician not only determined I was 1 quart low of oil but that my front right daytime running lamp bulb was burned out. After adding oil in replacing the bulb, the checkout process was quick and contact free. I was in and out in under 15 minutes.

I came for tire rotation and ended up waiting for more than an hour to know that they will not be able to do that today as they donot have a proper jack to lift the car. Not a happy experience.

Kudos to Matt & Donovan at this location! I drove down to Louisiana to visit family, and went to a Valvoline location there earlier this month. I had my cabin air filter changed. However, afterwards, when I turned the A/C on high, it made a loud humming noise. The employee there said it was leaves, and they couldnt get them out. I contacted Valvoline corporate customer service, and they said I could bring it to any Valvoline location to have it checked. Im so glad I waited to come back home to use this location. Matt & Donovan were empathetic, professional, and solved my problem. Matt, the manager, reached his hand in the cabin air filter cavity and pulled a few leaves out. Now my A/C & heat are quiet again. Thanks again. I will be back for service in the future at this location. They treated me well when they clearly had nothing to gain financially. I appreciate your integrity!

Terrible experience, got ripped off!! Convinced my 18 year old she had to get synthetic oill otherwise the warranty on the vehicle would be void. The dealership has always used semi synthetic (half the cost) in the past. Charged $75 and told her she would need the next change after 3000 miles. I called asking why they lied to her about the warranty and they had no answer. Asked why they told her to get next change after 3000 miles, should be 10,000. He gave me some BS about the quality of the oil is better but still need to change every 3000 miles. Asked why someone would pay $75 instead of $25 (regular oil) if you only get the same mileage, no good answer. Now wondering if they cheated and put in regular oil but charged synthetic oil price??!!

I was there today for an oil change. The guys were TOP NOTCH!! Cant say enough about how great they were! Everyone wore a mask and was very respectful! They joked around but were extremely professional! I really appreciated their attitude and demeanor. Im sorry I didnt get the names of the crew but I was there around 6 p.m. Managers/corporate, if you reading this, give them all a raise!! I will be back!!! Great job! I would give you 10 stars if I could!!!

They always do a good job with our Explorer here. The mechanics always explain what additional service is recommended by the manufacturer but they arent pushy about getting it done right then. Friendly, professional, and fast; oil change usually takes 20 minutes or less and they top off fluids and check your lights.

Went and got an oil change today cause I dont do my own when its cold out. They arent taking the keys anymore during the virus outbreak. As the guy explains this he seemed like he expected a bad reaction from me. And instead I explained that I appreciate it because Im high risk for this thing. He listened as I told him what would happen to me if I catch it. He seemed a little shocked since Im not an older person, but glad that they are taking those steps. I hope that helps him justify their actions to people that dont understand the safety aspect. 10/10 will go back there. Thank you for doing your part.

By far the worst Valvoline location I’ve been to. The three employees there did not seem to want to be there or show any sort of customer service or motivation. The guy at the computer had to ask his coworkers serval times for help. He did not know how to work the groupon and tried to charge me again. I asked for tire rotation and you could tell by their facial expressions they were annoyed at my request. Then moments after they brought me to the waiting area a worker came and told me my driver side lug nuts were swollen and that they wouldn’t be able to rotate the tires today. I went straight to bell tire. They laughed at what I told them and informed me my lugnuts were absolutely fine and rotated my tires for free. Will continue to go to Valvoline. Will not go back to the Valvoline in Novi.

Ive been using this location for almost 7 years, now. It used to be great & I was confident in most services I received, but the last couple years, the knowlege of the staff/employees seems to have declined. My last visit was the last straw for me. They were so rude! When it comes to problemsolving, a problem that they have created, by-like-say, something as simple as replacing my battery, they fail! After becoming stranded, because my car wouldnt start, I went back to complain about the new battery I just bought at Valvoline & they told me it must be something else wrong with my vehicle. So, I went to C.A.R.S. next door, where it was discovered that my battery was not connected properly. The mechanic was surprised it even started at all & he was nice enough to correct the connection. PLEASE, just stick to oil changes at this location Valvoline or change managers!

After the oil change noticed Oil was leaking. Got it checked by another mechanic and had to replace the oil filter.

My girlfriend just bought a used car so she took it in for an oil change. I was in the passenger seat. They told her the serpentine belt was in dire need of replacement. Said it had 8 cracks per inch and that it was dangerous to drive with more than 3 cracks per inch. They wanted to charge her $90 to replace it. I told her to decline because I can repair that myself. When I got home and took the belt off I was confused. I havent changed many belts but it looked fine to me. decided to take it to auto parts anyways and get a new one. When I set it on the counter and asked if I could buy a new one the guy picked it up, looked at it, handed it back, and said Why? This one IS new. Got a second opinion from a mechanic I know. He too said it was fairly new. Its obvious to me that when a young girl who doesnt know much about cars came into their shop they saw it as an opportunity to make some extra dough.

I think I might be overcharged here. I just moved to the city and came to here first time for my wife’s Honda Civic cause it’s close to my home. The car requires 3.9 Qt 0w20 oil and they charged me 89 dollars. I think it may cost less than 50 dollars at a dealer’s service. I will confirm with dealer and if they were not overcharge me I will change this to a 5 star.

So I decided to give this location another chance. My first experience last year resulted in bay#1 breaking down and spraying hydraulic oil onto my vehicle in bay#2. In an attempt to clean the overspray off my vehicle the employees used a towel and tried to remove any excess oil they could. They proceeded to tell me to get a car wash from up the road. Well the car wash attendant seen the oil residue and told me they would not allow me to wash my vehicle because the dirty oil water would contaminate the water.Well shame on me, I went back this year for an oil change. The employee asked if he could check the tire pressure in all 4 of my tires. I said sure. Here it is 2 days later and I noticed both of my passenger side valve stem caps are missing. No big deal but these are not ordinary. They show the tire pressure on them. I called today to ask if by chance could they have maybe not put them back on and I was given the lamest excuse. I was told they had been put back on but they must have loosened and fell off. Smh. I will not stop at this location anymore.

Paid a bit more than what I was expecting to pay. Also really did not like the constant pitch to change things other than my oil. Other than that, my oil was changed and it was what I wanted.

My go to oil change shop now. Incredible service - they didnt have the belt in stock my car needed so someone literally RAN to the shop to get it. Alex, the assistant manager, explained what was happening to my car with pictures and diagrams. Great team.

I stopped in this week between oil changes just for a quick tire balance check and to top off some fluids. The guys did a full safety inspection for free for me and even topped off my oil for the price of only half the qrt... $5.30 cents, about 10 minutes later and some priceless peace of mind later, my car is ready to keep my family safe for a long trip this weekend. I have been going to Valvoline for 10 years, in 3 different states, and I have never failed to be impressed by their customer service policies, friendly staff and the speed at which they work. I just wanted to finally take the time to leave a review!

Thorough, professional

Manager Chad, Ben, and newbie Bradley were all wonderful. Took about 30 mk in overall and Ben was doing a phenomenal job training Bradley as it was his second day. They made suggestions based on needs but didnt push too hard. Wonderful men, thanks much guys!

Employees were friendly and informative. They did a quality job in about 15 minutes. I liked the concept, the customer just stays in the car the whole time.

Update: Dont trust the response. Their corporate/district offices have refused to call me back after numerous calls and emails over many months.Do NOT go to this place thinking all Valvolines are the same. Ive had pretty good transactions in the past, but this last time I visited, they claimed my battery was dead when it clearly was not(got it tested again at the dealership), claimed that my differential fluids needed changing ever 15k miles when it was actually 60k, tried to drain the oil but stripped the plug causing $200 worth of damages, and the LIED about it. I finally got in touch with the corporate office, but after saying they would talk with the district office about getting my car fixed, they have ignored me for the past three weeks. Screw the $200 in damages, I will just be vocal about my incident and make sure people stay away from this place.

I have been to a lot of Valvoline’s, but this is by far the worst one. They had 6-7 people working but it took over 35-40min to get a simple oil change. The workers looked like they just got out of bed and were moving painfully slow. There was nothing “instant” about this experience.

Just because they are busy is no reason to not give full service! Girl said they checked tire pressure and all fluids and that was a blatant lie, husband checked that evening. Didnt check head/brake/blinker lights. Feel like they always just b.s you to get you out quicker. Will NOT be back! Fyi....changed this from 4 stars

Service was fast enough and they were friendly, however, the panel on the underside of my car fell off less than a week later. Car was fine before I walked into work and then I start to head home and hear a grinding/dragging noise. Checked under the car and the panel is hanging there.

Friendly and super fast

The staff works really hard here to make their customers happy. I waited 30 min for my oil change because they were really busy, however they werent grumpy or rude because they were busy, but really pleasant.

The service is over priced and not that fast. I can change my own oil for about one third of the price they charge. The workers had no sense of urgency at all. The person in the pit struggled for 10 to 12 minutes trying to just get the filter off. It takes 1 to 2 minutes with the right tools.(I know, Ive done it). Total time from driving in the bay to driving out was about 35 to 40 minutes. Overall I was not impressed.

I have been using this facility for many years. Seen managers styles come and go. Today, while everyone was friendly enough - they seemed quite preoccupied with phone calls and themselves.The service was slower than I recall 3 months ago...though one improvement seemed to want to help it along.Right when you pull in they check basics. fine - then a ten minute wait for the actual work, then a 10 minute wait for the work..So not great. Keep it friendly but tighten up the ship.Dont like $70 for an LOF.

Absolutely horrible people and they smudged grease on my car. I came in there with a rental car and they said they could not do rental cars so I called enterprise and another location that could show them how to do it. They complained about me on the phone in front of me and did not even acknowledge they just did not know how to do it. I told them this was my third trip to an oil change place that kept saying they did not know how to do it so if it was not resolved today it would still be an issue down the road. They kept telling me they have the right to refuse service and when we got everything resolved I just decided to drive 4 hours because I overheard an employee saying I would get what I paid for. At the other location I had no issues.

I had a very disappointing experience at this Valvoline Instant Oil Change location today. When I arrived, the attendant told me to wait in Line A. When the vehicle in front of me was finished the attendant told me he had to go with the first come first serve policy, so Id have to allow a person from Line B to go in front of me in Line A and I would move to their spot in Line B. I happily moved to Line B, understanding the first come first serve policy. Line As vehicle ended up finishing before the one in front of me in Line B and someone who arrived long AFTER me was allowed to proceed forward into the empty bay and she received service in Line A long before I received service in Line B. I asked the attendant What happened to first come first serve that you sited when you made me move? He said there was nothing he could do about it, I just had to wait, and he would offer me $15 off my service for the trouble. $15 does not make up for my lost time but I agreed to stay. When it came time to pay I was only given a $10 discount (only $1 more than the coupon I had in hand), not the $15 I was promised. What a disappointing experience. I will never return to this location and I will take my business elsewhere.

Didnt tighten my oil drain plug enough, but I took it back and they fixed it. Apparently they have gone through some staff lately. Place is quite expensive, so make sure you bring a coupon.
