Previously, I was dissatisfied with the nearby Monro, so I changed the schedule maintenance location here. I used Midas for the first time and the front desk staff were very professional. The work was done on time. I was very satisfied. I would recommend this to my friends.
These guys always go out of their way to help me. Front manager is hell of a guy great man love working with him. Dean always works on my car always very helpful polite and does great work hands down. This is the only shop I take my car to and all my pass cars also.
I fixed my car brakes at this store on jan 2020 and my brake pads went very bad in few months for 8000 miles .Due to pandemic we are not allowed to go to store and it took me lot of time to go and ask them about the brakes. In July 2021, they examined my brakes and told me that your front brake pads and rotors is damaged and the rotors are out of warranty now so if we fix them your problem will be resolved . After fixing the front brake pads and Rotors, i still see the same issue nothing changed on my brakes. Now the manager asked me to fix my rear brake pads and rotors and he charged me 900 dollars for the both brake pads and rotors . This is a scam store, they will just rip you off . They dont give the estimate for both front and rear brake pads and rotors in the beginning . First they will charge you for front brake pads and they will let you know about rear brakes later .Now you dont have any option other than paying the bill for rear brake pads and rotors.
Great manager at the front desk. Went in for a job interview, manager was very respectful and wise with his wording and advise. I was ready to be hired the following week but another previous opportunity arrived at the same moment and I went for it. Overall I saw how he greeted customers and how he handled a perfect conversation with the customer while I was waiting to be interviewed. I say pay them a visit for your car concerns if you are in the area.
I canβt thank this business enough. As a woman alone on the freeway with my tire pressure signal saying my front left was only at 26, I was very scared. They were so kind, filled all my tires at no expense and put my mind at ease- not to mention my safety. THANK YOU Midas, youβre the best

When it comes to professionalism and customer service, this location is the best at it! The shop manager Bill was really helpful, and he made sure that (during this rough pandemic) I didnβt have to suffer even more with a high bill. Additional to my very cheap bill, he provided great momentary/ long term advice. I am now home safely, and shall be able to travel using my vehicle in case of emergencies until the lockdown is over. BEWARE and read the reviews before doing anything with this company. I am very irritated on how they treated my car. I took it in to get it looked at, and went back for my car they left the spark plugs, wires etc unplugged. Under the hood was a mess. They didnt do any work so I cant understand why theyre take it apart and left it that way or why they cant do their work professionally. I couldnt get any real answers on why they did what they did. In addition, they wanted to charge me $4,000 to get a new engine, when theres nothing wrong with the current one. I quote the dealer saying engines only last up to 36,000 miles and go bad after that. I recorded our conversations and I plan on pursuing legal actions because its low down, dishonest, disrespectful, and a waste of time to treat people like this.
If you have any problems with ur car please go see Bill at Midas in Novi. The man is so honest and professional. Ive been taking both my cars there for the past 2 years and I will keep going there. I recently had an issue with my envoy and i thought I had to take it to a GMC dealer but after getting a quote from GMC I thought I give Bill a try and long story short he saved me over $900.00 dollars. I took this in two weeks ago and they said it was going to cost $2700. I took it to the family auto shop that is well know in Novi and it cost $200. Shame on you. I wish it allowed negative βοΈ

I was in Novi from out of town when I started having brake trouble around 3 in the afternoon on a Friday. I called seven other auto shops nearby that all said they couldnt even look at it until Monday or Tuesday. However, when I called Midas, they expressed that they were busy but would make time for me. They didnt have the exact part I needed so I still had to find a hotel, but it was ready by 10 AM the next morning and I was so grateful they made time for me when otherwise I probably would have had to wait days. Prices were very fair, and everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!
Paid 500 to fix hissing sound from breaks. They changed the shoes but did not inform me the break boost is bad. Let me go home in unsafe vehicle. When I went back for still hissing breaks, they said you should go to the dealer for that.

Great experience with the guys here. Told Ken my problem over the phone, he did the research for my suspension control arm got it ordered and my car was done and ready to pick up in 3 hours. The mechanic broke a bushing during the repair, I was informed and this was replaced at no charge as you would expect but they could have easily told me this was part of the repair and charge me.
Got my belt changed in less than 2 hours

This is the only place Ive been to service my car. They were always pretty good to me and had decent customer service. Their old manager, Jon, was great. He was honest and took responsibility for any wrong doings that happened. He recently left and has been replaced by Bryan (I believe his name is). Bryan has poor customer service skills, and is rather rude. I was quoted a priced by Jon on Wednesday of last week. This week Bryan tells me that price is almost $100 off and they increased the price of labor! This is after I explained to him an incident I had there that Jon took care of, and Bryan heard of me. Very disappointed in who they chose to take Jons place.. They lost a loyal customer.

Was having an issue with my brakes and rotors that I couldnt figure out. I brought it to this Midas location and the mechanic Dean and the manager (I forget his name) went above and beyond to find the problem and fix it. They were very cool and answered any questions I had. Because of their positive attitude while I was there I decided to let them do my rear brakes and rotors and oil change which I would typically do myself. My wife and I could not be happier with the service!

I came in without an appointment after my exhaust manifold on my truck failed. Joe H was awesome! He got my vehicle in immediately and figured out the problem. He walked me through the shop and showed me the damage and explained the process required to fix it. He was honest and kept me informed throughout the process and got it done by the next day so I was only without a vehicle for the night. He even offered to drive me home from the shop when he saw me waiting for my ride. Ill definitely come back for further auto maintenance.
Dropped my car off Thursday night. Itβs Monday afternoon. They said they could it by Saturday, and they still havenβt hit me back up, still donβt have a price for my repair. Only had 1 car in their shop when I dropped it off. Now there swamped all of a sudden

Quoted me over $500 to do just my front brakes. Said rotors were out if spec and needed replacement. Wasnt buying their pitch as the rotors were less than a year old. Went elsewhere and rotors were fine... ended up doing the brakes myself on ALL FOUR wheels for $57 and it took an hour.These big chains sure are lucky people are dumb and will believe anything they are told I suppose.

Paul was a great customer service representative .....my power steering and breaks were bad....already had an idea of this and he didnt try to sell me on anything more. Mike was nice but Paul went the extra mile. My old rusty car sounds better then it has in a long time and I feel confidant that any other problem I have they will fix as good as they have every time Ive been there. I am going through the process of filing dispute with the bank and filing complains with BBB and Small Claims courts, to recover my moneyAfter having spend thousands of dollar at this location (over many years) on my car giving my complete trust, this what I get in return.My 2nd time replacement of under warranty was charged a 220$+ of labor on 10/26/2019 as it was deemed as βoutside of daysβ warranty.The first warranty replacement of the struts was well over 6 months from the original part install date in 03/2018. That was not charged a anything at the time .To add to this, I was told that they will need more money to inspect the vehicle as I found the car not driving properly after the 2nd warranty replacement of struts. I was told it is having other suspension issues and hence would incur additional cost, without even having the courtesy of checking for any installation problem.I do not know what they did, they have completely screwed up the car.The mechanics installing these parts are careless enough to ignore the tightening of sways bars etc. before handing the car back to customer. This happened more than one occasions, and I had to return to the shop with rattling sound coming the suspension immediately after the strut replacement.Other parts (front half shaft) what have been replaced previous have gone bad in less than 6 mnths. I had the wisdom of replacing them from other reliable auto shops in my area.Do not come to this location and waste your money.
They are professional and always available. They have worked with both my cars and everything has been great. Once they didnt even charge me because they thought it was not fair.

Years ago, this place was great, but today charging 4x actual time.They charged me 1 hour to fix my tailpipe July 2017. It took 15 minutes including a test drive, parking the car and bringing the key inside. Not good business to overcharge hours when the time is so clear.
Let me start by saying I know next to nothing about cars. I work in clinical research, which seems like effectively the complete opposite of car mechanics. I have not learned so much about why some repairs were indicated as I did talking to this stores staff today. I very much appreciate their taking the time to explain, and really felt like they provided solid recommendations rather than trying to take advantage of my naivetΓ© on the topic. I dont have my car back yet, but wanted to make sure I shared my experience for those like me who are hesitant to trust auto shops. If the quality of their work is anything remotely resembling the quality of their service, Ill be totally satisfied. Plus: online scheduling portal!

Im from out of town wasnt ready for snow took my van here where they put the wrong size tire on then blamed me for the error. Then had to go pick the right tires so here I sit with my family wasting time from our vacation. Thanks Midas oh ya costed me more for the correct tire. Should have gone else where

Back in November 2018 I took my car into midas because I suspected that one of my wheel bearings were bad or going bad and indeed the right front was bad and making noise and had some play. My whole bill was 762$ Whoooa right??? 59$ for an alignment, 137$ for 1 right tire rod end replacement, and a whopping 380$ for a right wheel bearing. I had been told in the past that once you replace one bearing that the opposite one goes bad within a few months, So here it is March 20, 2019 and I took my car to another shop because i suspected that now the left wheel bearing was bad since I had just had the right one replaced at the end of Nov 2018 and come to find out that the same wheel bearing that Midas had claim to have fixed, was the one that was making the noise and had to be replaced. If I received a new and or quality wheel bearing there is no way that bearing should have needed to been replaced after such a short period of time. Leading me to pay for another bearing and hub assembly kit not even 4 months later. The new mechanic said that Midas just replaced the bearing itself and not the whole hub and assembly that goes with it, (i wonder how much more the whole kit would have cost).I called midas back to see if it was still under warranty and they said no since it had been over 90 days. I do not recommend taking your car to this shop . They are money hungry and do not care about your car nor put quality parts on your car. If you try to supply your own part they donβt not warranty the work and the labor prices are DOUBLED,I would definitely research other places in the area before taking your car to them.
Brought the car for oil change and specifically asked to do the tire rotation . Upon return noticed tires have not been rotated. of course I went back to the store, at first they tried to convince me tire rotation was not required! after 10min discussion they blamed the new mechanic forgetting to do the tire rotation. They rotated the tires eventually but this could be easily overlooked by most of the customers.

Beware. Theyll scam you if they think they can get away with it. My husband is a foreign software engineer and looks like the kind of guy who would just write a check without asking any questions. He went here in to get routine brake service on our 1-yr-old car. After dropping it off, the staffperson called my husband with some bad news and tried to tell him he needed to pay $750 to completely new brake parts, and that HE COULDNT DRIVE THE CAR OFF THE LOT and that he was risking a serious accident if he did. The good news is that they could start working on it right now and have it done in a few hours! I told my husband that the repair shop is legally not allowed to keep our car and that this is a common scam repair shops use to get your money. I wanted to get a second estimate somewhere else. Just in case the Midas rep was being honest (or in case he tampered with the brakes or didnt put them back together correctly), I got a free tow to Sovels repair shop on 10 mile and Haggerty (thanks AAA for the tow) and explained the situation. The owner brought me to the garage and SHOWED ME himself that the brakes were just fine and that we were being scammed by Midas. He replaced my brake pads for a discounted price and let me drive on my way. Apparently if youre foreigner, elderly, or a woman, beware of Midas! Highly recommend Sovels instead.

I went in for a brake issue and wasnt confident what it was. However, they suggested that I have a service that would charge me $1000 and, upfront, he mentioned it doesnt guaranteed the fix the issue. Im ok with that because I understand the mechanics of a car. But after the repair, it was still making the noise that I came in with. This time, they suggested something different (not sure what you called it) and it would cost another $1000. The problem is that the 2nd service could have been done first by thoroughly testing it from what they told me. That would have eliminated the 1st service if it was tested properly. Very POOR KNOWLEDGE for being a brake-service specialist. Im writing this because I feel I got scam. And yes, Im mad that I spent $1000 for something I didnt need done. Obviously, I didnt go with their second recommendation neither.
Went in to get my exhaust checked out. Called the night before to see when I should bring it in and they told me they could look at it at 8am. Had to call at 11:30 because I hadnt heard anything and they hadnt even checked my car yet (I was the second one to arrive in the morning). Then, when I finally hear from them again at 1pm, they quote me $1900 for a fix and $120 for a temporary fix.Even if the quote was comparable to other places, the wait time was ridiculous. I had already decided to go somewhere else before they called to give me a quote. A 5 hour wait time is outrageous, especially when I called ahead.

I came in last year (May 2017) to get my front brakes checked out. While leaving my truck there, I get a call and they say that its going to be $900 worth of work(calipers, pads, rotors, brake flush). I then tell them that I will have to get it done another day b/c I dont have the money. The guy says that the breaks are sticking and Midas canβt legally let me leave due to my car not being safe to drive.I asked him to please put my truck back together because my brakes worked when I drove in there so they better work when I leave. After going back and forth for 10 minutes, he tells me he will call me when they finish. (they never called.) I came up there and get my truck myself. Also, I had to sign some paper stating that I know that my brakes are sticking and its not Midas fault if something happens... blah blah blah.. I bought the rotors (which I didnt need), calipers, and pads for about $250. Me and my friend did it myself.Donβt know if the same guys are still there but I wouldnβt go to this location.
It was my first time going to Midas and I am very disappointed. I took my car there to see why my tire pressure keeps going down and the guy tells me they dont have the right tools to work on my car (dodge charger). Why are they even open if they dont have the tools to work on cars like that. It just seems to me that they didnt want to help me out and they wanted to kick me out the store. I would not recommend you going there.
Lack of what a Customer Experience means.Took my car to have break pads checked. I dropped car a 2:00pm, with an appointment I made. 1 additional car there, a staff of 4 and took 1:30 hours to get the car back, just for a checkup.I asked 3 times to check if my car was ready since I could see their technician working on another car he should not be working.This business needs to get a clue on

DO NOT GO THERE. They wanted to change me over 1900 dollars for a brake job. Took it to another shop and the parts were just over 200 dollars and labor was another 150. Total 350 dollars for what Midas in Novi wanted to charge me 2,000 for. What a rip off.

I went in around 2pm to get an oil change and had to wait around in the front for a few minutes. The owner came out and explained how busy his guys where and how they hadnt taken a lunch, so they were on lunch and wouldnt be back for another hour. I set up an appt for the next afternoon for 4pm. I got there the next day around 2:30 and waited in the lobby for 5 minutes without anyone coming to see me. That was all while I watched a mechanic stand outside and smoke while leaning against a car and rubbing the car. Then another mechanic had a smoke with him. I decided I wouldnt want to anyone from there touching my car and how they had terrible customer service. It seemed like waaaay too much effort for $25 oil change. There are plenty other oil change places around Novi.

I came in at 5:20 on a freezing Saturday because I got a flat over at west oaks. The Open light flashing, the DOOR OPEN and the jerk behind the counter says he cant help me because theyre closed. The door open and light on were an accidentI sure hope he doesnt have a sister or daughter stuck an hour from home because some ass actually turned her away knowing she had no way of getting home.

I was in a wicked rush and this guy used every trick in the book to rack the bill . Unnecessary warranty, overcharged me on labor on an old car for a super simple procedure, maxed out the price on everything and added in services that I didnt need. If you are looking for an honest place dont go here.
