Although the service reps are nice, they’re extremely slow, understaffed, and overbooked. I booked an appointment for an alignment, left my car there all day, and it still wasn’t done. The work they do is good, but they need more staff

Consider this my highest and most glowing review for this Pep Boys location. Scott (the manager) and Tom (technician) stayed late to help me out with new tires after a flat tire (they knew I was in a pickle with places to be tomorrow). Not only have they stayed late to help, but Scott took initiative to drive up to where I was at while I was waiting for a tow truck just so that he could get ahead of the curve and know what tire was needed and if he had it ready to go.They’ve also been polite, kind, and have not acted inconvenienced or annoyed whatsoever. I’d recommend going here for service. Not enough businesses that run like this anymore.

Took my car in to compare to dealers recommended service. Many of the items on dealers list unnecessary. Have always been treated with honesty, respect & dignity.

Scheduled an appointment for new tires. Arrived 25 minutes early, they didn’t have an employee to do the work. He left when I arrived due to an emergency. 45 minutes after I arrived, I asked about what we were waiting for, only to be told they didn’t have anyone there to do the work. I took my keys and told them to cancel my appointment. I understand that there are circumstances that happen, but there were no other cars in the shop waiting nor any other customers. So I would suggest to go somewhere else where an employee emergency doesn’t affect the customers getting something done. They should always have a second employee available who could do the work. I’m not sure if the guy behind the counter just doesn’t do the shop work or just didn’t want to get his hands dirty today.

Made two confirmed appointments within three days and both were cancelled last minute by this shop costing unnecessary time off from work. Don’t bother making an appointment they clearly don’t seem to have the capacity to manage before my vehicle even enters the shop.

Fair pricing, quick, high quality work, and a safe, well maintained, clean environment (in terms of covid). Best experience Ive had getting work done on my car in at least a decade.

I brought my car in for an issue and left it there overnight. They claimed to do something to fix it, but they did nothing... I wasted my time and money getting rides back and forth for nothing. Its a fleet account so Im not going to waste any more of my time with this place Ill just go somewhere else.Edit: After getting a second opinion from another service center and working with ARI fleet its been discovered that the whole brake system that was supposedly replaced a few months ago is completely shot. Its obvious this location didnt want to warranty their work and Im taking it to another Pep Boys to have the warranty work done. Avoid this location at all cost. Theyre crooks!

My wife and I recently had some work done on our car. 4 new tires a few months ago, and a new battery today. Both experiences were enjoyable, and that’s saying something because I really hate car stuff!! Doug was extremely helpful in finding us the right parts we needed to keep our car running strong. Pep Boys will ensure that your vehicle leaks fluids into your driveway. This is not the 1st, or even second time Ive taken my vehicles there only to have this happen. Never again. Save yourself the frustration and go to a shop that actually knows how to turn a wrench.

I had an issue with a noise coming from the front end of my vehicle. I took it to the dealer where I bought my vehicle and who has been servicing it for the past six years. I told him what was going on and they came back with a completely unrealistic response that simply wasnt true. I called up Pep boys in Novi and spoke with Doug. He told me to swing in for a free inspection at no charge which I did they ended up identifying what the situation was took care of it very quickly, efficiently and reasonably priced. Ill be taking this vehicle and others up there and definitely recommend these guys!

After I got my front and brakes and rotors installed i noticed that my break felt like they werent bleed and now it sounds like my right passenger breaks are sticking or maybe the caliper so no Im not very happy with it.

I brought my car there on Friday night around 5 and it is taking them until 5pm TONIGHT (Monday) to fix just the starter!!! I had to constantly call them because they made no effort at all to let me know what was going on with me vehicle and they only answer the phone sometimes. I am highly dissatisfied, I came from out of town and have to stay extra time withing for them to fix something small and straight forward. If I would have known it would take this long I would have had my boyfriend fix the starter himself. 😡😠😡

Cant say enough about the great service! The manager Doug is a very nice person and very efficient at what he does. Kudos to Tom for going out of his way for me. I highly recommend Pep Boys.

We set up service for our company vehicles and they were not able to live up to the promises given. They said they would be able to get our trucks in and out quickly and they are saying we need to drop our trucks off. Which as a business we can’t afford to do. We will be taking our business somewhere else.

Dropped off my car this morning around 7:45 and was taken care of right away. Ran a few errands around 1130AM I didnt hear anything so I made a phone call! I spoke with shawn he informed me my car had not been serviced. He told me he would get it in right away. 45 minutes later he called me and told me what my car needed. 2 hours later it was done! I didnt pick my car up till 630. Shawn met me at the desk and explained everything and apologized about the delay in service!!! He was super friendly and took my phone calls all day!! Thanks Shawn!! Glad there is still great customer service out there!!!! I will be back :]

Biggest thieves on earth. Do not go there for anything! I called about brake service. Was told 209 for basic with pads. Got there and after 2 hours they cane back with a starting estimate of over 900 dollars!The 209 was per axle! Not per car! 418 to start. Andxrefused to change out the pads, without brand new rotors! What jerks. I could on with all the other things they said needed repair that was already practically new. They were aiming for 2k in repairs!Used to be a reliable, reputable company. No more! Total waste of time.

1.5 hours for oil change and tire rotation. Never again! Sad when it was Goodyear it was less than 30 minutes.Editing Review it ended up taking almost 2 hours and the Manager was apologetic and comped me my oil change. So I considered that as an act of being professional so I bumped my rating up from 1 star to 3.If I patronize Pep Boys again I will get a time estimate right up front.

Why dont your desk employees have masks on especially while helping elderly customers?!?

These people are beyond rude. I ordered a part online and we went to go pick it up and they very rudely told us it was at the Farmington location. Even though the address said specifically NOVI. Even the way they told us was rude. ‘It’s at 8 mile.’ This is Metro-Detroit. When someone says something is on 8 mile... that usually means DETROIT right? When we asked for specifics, they VERY RUDELY told us it was at Farmington. So we went to Farmington to get it. They then tell us we need to pay for the part, even though we paid for it already online. No explanation, no sense of customer service whatsoever. So I called this location to cancel my order so I didn’t get charged twice. I told them my last name ONLY and he says ‘ok yeah it’s cancelled.’ No part #, no order #, nothing. So I asked the guy to verify the order # for me so I knew it was canceled. He then put me on hold. He wasn’t cancelling anything. Clearly. So he finally gets back on the phone, gives me a four digit number (that was NOT my order #) and so I asked him to specify the part that he was cancelling. VERY RUDELY, AGAIN says ‘*pause* it’s a control arm.’ It was NOT a control arm. This entire process was so idiotic. DO NOT order anything online here. DO NOT expect anything less than the worst customer service ever. Unbelievable. Especially with Amazon and Auto-zone being so convenient, if not more so, they really are not doing themselves any favors with going out of their way it to be rude and unhelpful.

I had a horrible experience with this Pep Boys location in Novi, MI yesterday morning. A car service light regarding my brakes came on in my vehicle so I decided to take it to this location. It was around 8:00 a.m. I went into the Pep Boys and waited at the desk where someone should have ben to greet me, but no one was there. There were a few customers waiting in the waiting area, but no employees. I waited ten minutes and then started looking for someone to assist me. Someone was in the back where they fix the cars, but I could not get to them. I then proceeded to wait another ten minutes thinking someone has to come and assist me, no one came, While I was on my 20 minute wait another customer came in and still no one came. I called the number to this Pep Boys so someone would answer the phone and they wouldnt answer. I went back to the door where they fix the cars and saw an employee and told him we needed help, he looked at me and said we will be there. They still never came and I had waited 30 minutes. This is ridiculous and no one should be treated this way at any business. Shame on you Pep Boys!

Ordered a battery from Carrie for 2010 FJ Cruiser. Had it there ready when I arrived. Easy no hassle transaction, saved money ordering online. Bosch battery had best warranty and reviews. Also best price to boot.

Great service. While in for a repair, they found extensive rust on my moms car and called to have us check it out before proceeding. When we got there, they made a point of putting the car on a lift to show us in detail and point out the safety hazards.

Was given an inaccurate quote and then asked to pay much higher price when i brought my car in for service. No one was behind the desk when I arrived to pick up my car at the time they told me it would be ready. Half a dozen other unserved customers and myself were waiting inside for about 20 minutes because apparently no one was around to serve. Missed my next appointment due to this tardiness. Never had any problems at this garage when it was still Novi Motive

I made an appointment for 6:00 and got there at 5:30 to find out they were closed.

I booked a appointment at 2:00 for a oil change at their Novi branch. The store calls me up at 1:30 to tell me that they had walkins and that they cant honor their appointment. One thing i dont understand is how can they do walkins when they already have appointment scheduled. Pathetic Service. No wonder they dont have any reviews on google. Or they might be deleting them.Learn how to honor your appointments or stop taking them. Very unprofessional.

Pep boys novi is a rip off they try to sell you stuff that your car doesnt need if you want someone honest take your car to sovels in novi on 10 and meadowbrook. Rip Off!! Didnt work for this guy. Never will go back.

Faulty online scheduling had me make an appointment, but there were no technicians. Guy at the desk claimed he wasn’t able to leave a voicemail on my phone. I tested it by calling my home phone with my work phone and my voicemail works just fine. Won’t be coming here again.

Unorganized dump. Not even capable of receiving an online order. Had to call 3 times to get a confirmation that my order arrived several days late. When I stopped to pick up my part it wasn’t there or they couldn’t find it in the piles of dirty unorganized parts everywhere.

5 MINUTE ENGINE CODE DIAGNOSTIC TOOK 3 HOURS. THEY DROVE MY TRUCK INTO THE BUILDING CAUSING $3000 IN DAMAGES. DO NOT GO THERE. AVOID THIS BUISNESS!
