Took a minute to get our quote but out of all the quotes we received Michiana was the fairest, honest and realistic option for us. Noah was very professional when I asked a million questions. This week our furnace quit working in the middle of Monday night, because of my husbands Alzheimer’s disease I was in quite a tizzy as to what to do. After trying other yellow page listed places I called Michiana in Dowagiac, they responded by sending a gentleman name of David to see what he could do. Unfortunately he could only do a patch job, which he explained could not last. He was very kind and explained everything to my understanding and went over my limited options. Unfortunately the repair, as predicted did not last. Next morning I called him and asked for help to get a new furnace, he was very good at explaining and getting me thru the process of filling out the paperwork. We were approved and by 10:00 Wednesday morning a very polite young man name of Chance showed up, explained everything that would happen, explained very well the paperwork I signed And he got right to work. He was soon joined by another young man (to us old folks everyone is young haha) name of Brian, who I later learned was his father. These two respectful and cheerful guys worked continuously all day. They took only occasional breaks and took no lunch break (which I tried I insist on) They explained all that was happening and being done and answered all my questions. They cleaned up and removed everything from the old furnace. By afternoon we had heat and I was truly grateful. At a very stressful time I was very pleased to have had the help and consideration of these two exceptional professionals. What a great decision it was to call Michiana Heating & Air Conditioning. My technician, Taso had my issue diagnosed in minutes and repaired in minutes. From first calling to saying goodbye to Taso it was only a few minutes past 1 hour (and I live 25 minutes away). I stored their number in case anything else happens, because I know who to call.

Michiana Heating & Air Conditioning has some of the best customer service Ive ever dealt with. From the initial phone call to appointment to billing, customers know what to expect every step of the way because of clear, open communication. I am by no means an HVAC expert, and their technicians take time to explain what they are fixing, how they are fixing it and what your options are. Im SO impressed.

Noah came over and did not even offer wearing a facemask. He then quoted me for a performance carrier unit 8k - the very same model another Michiana contractor quoted me 4300. All the quotes were inflated by 50% - so draw your conclusion and go elsewhere. These guys just want to fleece you.UPDATE: Yes, both quotes were for the exactly same models, same installation. And I asked Noah on the phone to double check both model and serial numbers - so yes, Michiana prices 100 % above others. Excellent profit margin.

I need duct work done and so many places were absurdly high. Michiana did the job for THOUSANDS less than other companies like Sun Services, BW, and Great Lakes. They were done in less than a day and very respectful of our home. I will likely continue to use them and refer them to anyone. It is worth getting estimates because these guys will price fairly and competitively. Job was completed less than a week when I had an estimate.

We had Michiana Heating and AC come take a look at our AC issue. The technician initially told me that the capacitor needed to be replaced and he would do it right then and come back the next day to check if everything was running fine once the system thawed.For some reason, he changed his mind within the next 10 minutes and calls and informs me that he will not replace the capacitor today and will do that the next day. He also informs me that I should hear from the office to let me know of the time he will be visiting the next day. Then they charge me $99 for the diagnosis.The next day, I do not hear at all from them. So I call the technician to check when he is going to show up. This time, he says that he cannot fix the AC because he doesnt work on the newer refrigerant systems and that there is nothing wrong with the capacitor!So why did they not tell me the truth in the first place before charging the fee? I wasted 2 whole days for nothing when I could have hired someone honest and capable to fix the issue.

Found Michiana Heating & Air Conditioning in a Google search when we badly needed help with a non-functioning AC unit Sunday night of Memorial Day weekend. The person who answered the call was helpful and friendly. Their on call tech Aaron called us back quickly and he came to our house at 10:00 pm and fixed the unit. The next day (Memorial Day) was 94 degrees. They saved us and earned a customer for life. Signing up for a service contract. Best service weve had from anyone in a long time.

Michiana Heating and Air did an excellent job at installing a furnace, central air and gas water heater in my home I recently purchased. They gave me a better price than another local company offered. They were very polite and considerate while in my home and even did extra things they didnt have to do but did anyway. I would highly recommend them.

The Michiana H & AC team saved me a lot of time, confusion, and even more money today. I had contacted a competitor first (at random--I have not needed these services in my home yet). They charged me $100 for the inspection, and within 5-10 minutes, told me: (A) I was three pounds low in freon, but the type I need didnt exist anymore, and (B) I definitely needed a new AC unit. They quoted me anywhere from $4-8 for a replacement, but couldnt give me an exact amount until they showed up to complete the job. We are trying to pay for our wedding this fall, and this news made my heart drop to my feet. I decided to get a second opinion. Thank goodness I did. Michianas team were so professional and helpful...from the dispatchers to the owner to his son who came out within an hour to take a look. As it turns out, the type of freon I needed does exist, I was only one pound low (my unit only holds four pounds total), and the unit does not need to be immediately replaced (although will need to be within a few years). They also waived the technician visit-fee because they thought I was not treated fairly by the first company. Needless to say, they will have all of my heating and cooling business in the future! Thank you, all!

Im recommending Michiana Heating & Air Conditioning as they are very prompt and when parts are needed will make every effort possible to get the part and make repairs in the same day. Their Service Man was polite and concerned. He explained what my problem was with my furnace so I could understand. Their maintenance agreement is extremely reasonable as are their pricing.

Was impressed with timely response. Tech came out diagnosed problem said had to order part be back i a few days. Week goes by shows up says still not working need another part hear nothing for 3 or 4 days call still waiting for part. Tech comes out says still not working need to create another quote. Get a little uncomfortable call another company who comes out and shows us that nothing has been replaced the enducer motor never added the custom tubing never added.. new company replaces the inducer for 220.00 less. Would advise not using this company

Had michiana work on are system before did a great job till this last time . They came out said he thought it was a thermost that I just replaced charged us 99 . I changed the thermostat again still same thing called them back they came out said they needed to see a code Pop up to see what was wrong and left a few hours later I sent them a video of what it was doing said they would be out in the morning a no show so out 99 bucks got a competitor he came right out and found that the high voltage switch was bad and only charged us 79 to fix it havent had a problem since

DO NOT CALL THESE GUYS IF YOU HAVE A HOME WARRANTY!!!!And in general, Id recommend going elsewhere for your service needs. This company is more concerned about getting paid - and the way they get paid - than taking care of their customers.I had these guys come out on a Saturday to take a look at my furnace. They charged me a $119 fee for the diagnostic, which I knew up front. Whether I agree with the $119 diagnostic fee policy or not, I had them come anyway since I assumed Id be paying for some repairs. My home warranty is great about covering the costs of repairs, so I wasnt concerned about the diagnostic fee. It turns out that Michiana Heating & Air REFUSES to work with home warranties. They wouldnt even get on the phone with the warranty company. They apparently dont want my business or need the money. Nevermind that my home warranty company allows me to choose any contractor, nevermind that it has covered 100% of the last 5 claims Ive made, nevermind that Michiana H&A would have made plenty of money from an extremely simple replacement of parts, their policy is to NEVER work with home warranty companies. Money is money, business is business. If I managed my business by refusing customers, Id be fired. Thankfully there are plenty of companies that can do this work that are happy to have the business. The ONLY reason I used Michiana H&A is that they had someone who could come on a Saturday. I wont be calling them again. They wasted my time and my money!To Michiana Heating & Air: Charging me $119 and then refusing to complete the repair because (in your opinion) it might be more difficult to collect payment is both shady and disrespectful. Clearly you view yourself as more important than your customers.
