Service technician was very polite and knowledgeable. Had the parts with him to fix the ice maker on a Samsung refrigerator. Well, we hope it is fixed… will know in a few hours. I was extremely pleased with the service.

Do not use this company!! They backorder parts and have no clue as to when the parts will be available. They also do not communicate well with each other. When I finally got ahold of someone in their customer service department they had no clue as to how to answer my questions and they kept cutting me off. I had to hang up and call them back to get another service rep. When I asked for a refund due to shoddy service. The service rep said the money I paid for parts and service would be refunded and going on 2 weeks later it hadnt been. They charged me twice for a diagnostic fee when I had to recall them them out to fix what wasnt fixed the first time I called them out. The customer service rep told me to send an email to some web address to get my diagnostic fee returned and I still have not gotten my fee returned. In fact, they havent even acknowledged receipt of my email. This company is terrible and I do not recommend anyone use the company for service repair...EVER!!!

Washer broke down the day before.I called the Sears Appliance Repair service when it happened.The receptionist took my information and told me atech would come the following day.The tech did arrive the next day and I was informed twice that morning of the approximate arrival time.The tech was curtious and professional and was able to adequately diagnose my situation and informed me of the problems that were still forthcoming in the near future.

I posted a negative review several weeks ago about my oven thats been waiting to be repaired under warranty for over two months now. Someone from Sears responded to my post asking that I contact them via Facebook and provide my information so they could help. Its been over a week since I reached out - and nothing. Ill bet if I was paying for the repairs myself Id be getting much faster attention.

I have been waiting over 5 MONTHS for a part for a dryer. Ive called atleast 15 times with the same answer of “its on hold at the factory”. We brought out a technician in January 2021 to fix our broken dryer, he was very professional and helpful but the part he replaced did not fix the issue. The second time he recommended a replacement part so i completed it myself, which was also not correct, the third time he ordered a part that was needed (Jan 16) and we got a notification saying it would be here in a week. After the week i called and they said it was a delay due to covid, now we have been waiting and calling to find out where it is. Today i was told again the same thing and ive had it. Do Not Use This Service if you ever need parts. They wont show up.

My beloved trash compactor just stopped working...being a Kenmore, I called Sears repair. Luis came and worked miracle and viola, she started working again. This was the best news since they are so expensive to replace. This Kenmore is working on 25 years of service...who knows how long she will last! Thank you, Luis!

I have always used Sears service for my repairs and was very pleased but this is the last time. I was told by a Sears representative that the $109.00 diagnostic fee would be included in the labor charge. It was not. They sent a third party repair company (A&E Factory Services) and instead of including the $109 in their labor charge, they added it to their labor charge. All I needed was to have my freezer drain line unclogged. No parts necessary. The entire bill was for labor. This is the second time I had Sears do this service. The first time they subtracted the diagnostic fee from the labor charge but this time they added it. I was totally mislead by Sears and wound up paying 3 times for the repair.

This is the second time someone has come out this year an I have another service call coming out on the 17th of July.This system was bought in 2016 a Kenmore and it has been a problem ever since. The first call was a periodic check up system was starting to act up he checked it said your good.Not so it doesnt keep up thermostat set on 70 an its 80 degrees inside called my electric bill has doubled for the month of June it just keeps on running. This weekend the house was so freaking hot inside we decided not to cook an go out to eat because of the inside temperature.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!! I have never employed a company to fix something that has diagnosed the problem incorrectly and then sent 2 female technicians out to my home that completely didn’t know what they were doing!!! The first one didn’t even put the dryer back together correctly and the second said sorry this part didn’t fix the problem. Call someone else to diagnose it!! Keep in mind it took a month for them to get the part in and get back out here!! Terrible service and even worse customer service! DONT USE THEM!! Go local

Technician called ahead to let me know when he would be arriving for the scheduled repair. Work was done in professional manner and quickly. Technician was courteous and the work place was left clean. I use Sears for all my major appliances and have a service contract, which has worked great. Well worth the money!

Maurice did a wonderful job. However, the washing machine still stops after the wash cycle and goes back to WASH. As we discussed, I have to manually, turn the knob to rinse and spin. This should not be happening, as we discussed. The dryer is now doing a very good job.

Only issue I had with the service was the timeliness. Almost one month from the time the request was submitted to the time repair was effected during the most intense use part of the year. Once the service provider showed up it was quickly repaired. Quicker turn around time would have netted a 5 star rating.

The repairman did a good job. But Sears tried to change my appointment date without calling me and that was bad. I was not going to be home on the date they wanted to change me to. Thank goodness I got the appointment changed back to the original date and time.

I could not be more pleased with the service I received. The repairman was courteous and professional. He explained everything he was doing and showed me exactly what the problem was. When I made my appointment, I was told that I would receive a phone call from the service provider. The gentleman called me and told me he would be arriving in 45 minutes. He was right on time. I will definitely use this service again in the future. It was a five star experience.

No one ever came for the appointment and none one called to cancel. Someone called a week later to check on repairs. When I told her all of the above, she said someone would call. Still no call. Appliance still broken. Very disappointed. At this time of the year, I cannot take more time off of work hoping they will appear. They have our money so we no longer matter to them.

The refrigerator had a leak in the refrigerant system and the first technician ordered parts 3/21. After 10 days the second pair of technicians arrived 4/4 to install and repair. They worked to replace the evaporator, dryer assembly, small valve and charged the system. My wife paid and they promised we would receive a receipt. 3 days later we have never received a receipt and the refrigerator still does not work. i was maybe a little generous with 2 stars.

I contacted Sears to schedule a repair. They gave me a date and time window (12-5). On the day of my appointment I did not hear anything from Sears or its technician. Frantically, I went directly home after work fearing I had missed their call. I called them and was informed the technicoan was delayed but would be at my home between (5-7) but the technician would be contacting me back shortly. Shortly became never... I was at work the following day and received a notification of an appointment scheduled a day later. I thought this was odd because neither my husband nor I rescheduled, ESPECIALLY after they were a NO SHOW. Buyer be aware of Sears, lousy customer service...this has never happened where a technician just dont show up or call.

I have had sears appliances and service agreements for several years. I have always had great service, until now. I have had to call sears service two time over the last few months and have had very poor responses.The first issue was receiving of the parts needed to do the work. It took three weeks to get a $30 part that took the repairman less than five minuets to install.The last service was the one Im responding to now. This repair took three set ups before the service center got it correct. Each time they sent a repairman to my home he was the wrong type of service man.I sure hope my next encounter is a better one.

The repair man was very good, and very diligent. He was through and even gave me advise on how to better care for my washer dryer unit. He checked out the transmission and gears to make sure they were not about to fail. A part was needed and he went for the part rather than making me wait until another day. GREAT. SUPER I was not left hanging another day without a washer.

The repairman was called to fix my mower that wouldnt start. He fixed a tire that kept going flat. He jumped the mower and pulled it back into our garage then left. When I went out to mow my lawn the mower wouldnt start. My wife told me that the repairman told her that the battery must be dead. She told him it was a new battery. He said that I mustve left the key on and ran the battery down. The mower still doesnt start. It cost me over $225.00 to have Sears send out a repairman to fix a flat tire on a lawnmower?? Thats pretty expensive.

The repair woman and a trainee arrived as scheduled. Both were very polite and seemed well trained. My Kenmore dryer is over 30 years old so I was concerned that it would not be repairable. Problem was a broken switch which was diagnosed and repaired within less than 1/2 hour of arrival. I am very happy with the service and would recommend highly to anyone.

While the technician was knowledge and thorough - he did NOT have the part supposedly to fix the issue. Now I am waiting AGAIN for another 2 weeks. This is absolutely unthinkable being that - we nought a 3 year extended warranty with Sears, instead of the manufacturer, LG. While I do not know about LG service direct, I do know in years past, I bought GE direct and everything was always repaired first visit. Now, we have a refrigeration waiting on a door vent part (likely just 5 bucks) which already arrived and yet ... we .... wait ... for ... 2 .... weeks ... for .... another .... technician.

Technician took dryer door apart and broke it while trying to put it back together. Left without saying anything. When I went to use it the next day it didn’t work. Dealing with customer service was a nightmare. Long story short, I was a month without a dryer before the problem was taken care of. Disappointed ☹️

Repairman was very professional. He quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired it with little need for my assistance. I was thrown a bit because he came in an A&E factory service truck which if I had known about I may not have gone with them as they have significantly poorer reviews than Sears Home service. Still this guy did fix the main issue. So I guess I got lucky and got a good technician.My reason for only 3 stars is cost. I think it’s bonkers that they don’t waive the $100 diagnostic fee if you decide to let them repair it. I let him repair it mainly because I had to run out during my appointment block and felt bad that he was waiting for me. Labor fee on its own was another $126. Diagnostic should be a part of labor. $126 is reasonable for the hour he spent. $226 seems like an overcharge. The part was $56 (I found the oem part online for $35-45.) So they definitely are up charging you on that to some degree- assuming it was even oem. So I’m partially kicking myself for not just fixing it myself after it was diagnosed and saving a good $150. Oh well. May not go with them again but by no fault of the technician. He said costs were set by corporate. Smaller, more flexible businesses are the way to go for me!Though if you are good at fixing your own stuff and just scratching your head as to what the problem is- $100 for the diagnostic is not bad and like I said he was very professional so in that scenario I’d say they are good.

Sent Larrys appliances and they did great. the call center for Sears was HORRIBLE though. They cancelled our appointment and rescheduled it without contacting us first. They tried to blame Larrys appliances when it wasnt there fault. They could barely speak English and that only added to the problem. When I asked to speak to a supervisor to resolve the problem, they put me on hold and after 5+minutes I hung up. They then called back. Same person no supervisor and yet gave me a different name: Ty instead of Bianca but the voice was the same. Ive been a loyal Sears customer for 20+ years and my parents before me. If this is the kind of stuff I have to go through to get service, Im taking my business somewhere else. SAD.

Kevin called the night before and gave me the window of 0800-1200. I explained that my husband would be home during that time but doesnt answer the phone. He said he should be there by 0830 and arrived at 0841. Identified the drain hose was actually siphoning the wash water out of the machine and clothes are now exceptionally clean! Work completed to include cleaning any debris left behind. VERY satisfied with his workmanship & knowledge

The technician Maurice was knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. He asked questions, listened to my answers and then troubleshooted the problem -he didnt just put a new part on, hoping to fix the problem, he actually figured out what the problem was!! I think the best part of his visit was his suggesting that I use laundry bags for smaller items like the sock that got caught in the pump so I would not have to deal with the dastardly F20 code again!! This was not a good experience from being the last appointment and technician had problems Im guessing not enough experience, to leaving at 7pm and not fixing washer and having to order parts= laundromat for me who havent been in 20 years. Two weeks later different tech, new problems. He had to re-do all repairs, didnt need the ordered parts and ordered more parts leaves at 9pm! Another week or so (I lost track), previous tech comes and asking about parts he ordered and read some notes, understood what to do fixed in 1 to 2 hours and left. What do you think?

Not worth it!! Our 4 month old refrigerator broke and the earliest a technician could come was 2.5 weeks out. He diagnosed the problem and scheduled a day to repair it 2 weeks later. Showed up the last 30 minutes of the window they said he would arrive and said it’s a 3+ hour repair. Now they just called again and said they can’t come back for FOUR weeks. Every time we call we get the runaround and a promise for a return call...which doesn’t always happen. Their representatives are kind, however, they can’t get things done.It is frustrating that a 4 month old product (which they claim to be top of the line) is broken already. It is even more frustrating they fail to communicate and still have not fixed the issue.

Id give zero stars but that is not possible so Ill have to stick with hated it as a rating. My dryer stopped heating before thanksgiving. Since then Ive had 3 appointments and my dryer is still not heating.Technician #539619 (Carl) showed up twice without the parts needed for repair. My dryer has gone from (1) running with no heat, to (2) running, but only if you hold the start button down, with no heat to (3) not running at all.On my 3rd appt, Sears was gracious enough to send a senior technician, Mike who did not leave any other information about himself, ...but without whatever parts he may need. He got my dryer back to the running without heat state and would like me to schedule another appointment.Ive taken off work 3 times so Sears could fix my dryer. They have failed 3x.Sears is not worth your time.

I have had the Sears Master Protection Agreement on all my Appliances for many years. It was great in the past, never more then 2 weeks for an appointment, but now it takes forever to get them out for a repair. I recently had the water and icemaker stop working on my refrigerator and it was 2 months getting it repaired. One month for the first appointment and then another month to get them back after the repair parts arrived. These were the earliest appointment available. Obviously, in my area at least, they have really cut back on repair employees.The agreement is still an extremely good deal but with the now longer wait times its not nearly as good as it was in the past.

Dishwasher had a code indicating water inside of pan below the unit. Tech immediately saw mouse droppings looked at the drain hose and said there is your problem. Damn mice! ordered hose thru tech and he left. hose arrived today. Installed hose only to find that 2 other hoses are now needed. The tech didnt even look on the left side of the dishwasher. Very bad diagnosis! Damn mice!

The technicians were competent and were able to complete the repair properly.However, when I initially contacted Sears about the problem, the first appointment available for diagnosis was 5 days away. The technician arrived, made the diagnosis and ordered the part, but the first available date to return and install the part was another 12 days in the future. Altogether it took 17 days from the time I first contacted Sears until the problem was fixed. This was a simple repair that only required replacement of a pulley. I consider 17 days to be excessive.For each of the service calls I was given a window of 8 am to 5 pm so each time I had to schedule a full day to wait for the technician.

SEARS is by far the absolute worse customer service I have ever received! I will NEVER purchase anything from them again! I have an inoperable refrigerator that was called in for repair Oct 2016. Less than a year later the same problem occurred. We called in the service warranty and we got an appointment for two weeks later. The technician came and rescheduled because a part had to be ordered. Three weeks later the technician returns and 3 days later the fridge is still not working! I called this problem in again and the soonest they can come back is August 11th; three weeks later! I have called SEARS 7 times back to back and the associates keep placing me on hold, they say they are reviewing my account and then hang up the phone on me, they are extremely rude, and to make it worse, it is difficult to understand them through broken English! Do not waste your time nor your money--go to Wal-Mart, I guarantee you will get better service! I will use my home owners service warranty to get this fridge repaired!

I am not happy with Sears.Before scheduling the service I called to check on the cost of service. Since nothing is wrong with our two furnaces, I requested basic diagnostics to be done on these two systems. I was told that the price for each system is $69.96 with the cost for a second system at half the price.The service has been completed with no need for any repair while I was not home. Our refrigerator malfunctioned in the worst possible way: no power whatsoever. Called Sears Home Services that evening, purchased the one-year ~$270 protection plan for the fridge, and got a technician to come out the next day (Wednesday; fridge blew out on Tuesday). Technician came and found the problem was due to a faulty fuse. Unfortunately, to replace the fuse the entire control board had to be replaced. Technician ordered a replacement, 3-5 days, and scheduled a second technician to come out a week from Wednesday to replace it.Thanks to having MyUPS, I got an email confirming that the control board would actually be delivered on Friday. I called Sears Home Services back with this information and asked if they could instead reschedule the technician to come on Saturday. They did this without problem. Technician came on Saturday (we had gotten the control board on Friday), replaced the control board, did some tests to make sure everything was okay, and was then on its way.Total cost (parts + labor) came out to around ~$374. Good deal!

Repair of an LG gas dryer has not gone well. The dryer repairman left the exhaust vent obstructed after the work, which has rendered the device unusable still. When I called for a repeat visit to correct the mistake I was given an appointment over a week out. The repair job will now stretch out over three weeks. The only good thing I can say is that the repairmen actually showed up on time and called in advance. My dryer is still not functioning correctly.

I wouldnt even give the experience a 1 star. It took 2 technicians 3 hours to supposedly repair the freezer and they didnt fix the problem. Now all of the food in the freezer has gone bad while we sit and wait for another technician to come. At first, we were offered an appointment on 3/20. Then the lady said she would look for an emergency slot which is 6 days since they were last here. Over $100 in food has been lost and we remain unhappy Sears customers.

What a DISAPPOINTMENT and UNPROFESSIONAL treatment...had to wait a week to get a washer repair appointment, with a window of 8AM - 5 PM (who does the scheduling?), took an entire day off work only to have the repairman call at 4:15 to tell me he had bounced around Williamsburg and Yorktown all day and decided to cancel our appointment after Sears sent an update saying he would arrive between 4-6PM. It was more than obvious he did not want to come to Gloucester to do the repair at the end of the day and confirmed we were the only service call in Gloucester that day. Customer Service did nothing to rectify the totally unacceptable service we had received to that point except a rescheduled appointment 11 days later. I have used Sears repair in the past many years ago, but it is obvious after this experience, customer service has deteriorated to the point that it is unreliable and lost all integrity, with no regard to customer convenience. After this total lack of respect for their customers and lack of job integrity by the repairman, we will never use them again.

Terrible customer service! We had an appointment scheduled to get a fridge fixed. Our apt window was 3 hours and 20min before the end of the window I called to get an update and it turned out the technician scheduled for our fix did not come into work that day. We received no update or help to even try and resolve the issue. Our fridge was not staying cool at all and ended up having to purchase a new one as we could not wait another 3 days for a new apt.

Unsatisfactory Service! Sears outsourced the service to a 3rd party technician who never showed up on time. New parts were ordered to fix the dishwaser -- none of this was coordinated between Sears and 3rd party technician. As a result, follow-up service was scheduled by Sears prior to the parts arriving. My wife ended up waiting all morning for a service appointment which did not take place due to poor communications on the part of Sears with 3rd party technician. I would not recommend Sears Service Agreements to anyone. I paid lots of money for this agreement and have had to coordinate my own service with the 3rd party technician -- this is what I paid Sears to do for me. Totally unsatisfactory service.

I can truly say that I get it now. I used to work for Sears and couldnt understand why my main function daily was to put out fires that were ignited by Sears. We are encouraged to push the protection agreements as employees. Believing and the protection that it provides I purchased a master protection agreement for all my appliances. I requested service on my washer and dryer and a repair on my refrigerator. I was given an appointment all three on the same day... June 2nd. The washer and dryer work serviced, but as of June 22nd I am still waiting on my friends to be repaired. I have now lost all my food, numerous days away from work, I have no refrigerator that works and Im still waiting on my appointment. The appointment has been rescheduled several times because Sears does not hire responsible Representatives to repair their products the appointment has been rescheduled due to their inability to get a technician to my home. I am happy that the dishwasher door was put back in place, however, the technician went rather quickly through the checkout procedures and checked the box saying the machine was tested, In my haste to get on with my day did not try the machine until that evening. Now the dishwaser light just blinks and I cannto get it to start so I have to call another tech to look at that problem. I do not feel I should have to pay for a second call when the first was not completed properly.

Confidence shaken.I want to start by saying that the technnician was great. But I called to have my heating/AC unit fixed on Oct. 28 and given an appt. for Nov. 8 for someone to come out and look at unit. On Nov. 8 told by tech that the part had to be ordered and then given an appt. on 21 Nov. Then on 21 Nov. 1 hour before the end of scheduled time received a text saying I was rescheduled for 3 Dec.. Called 29 Nov. to confirm appt. and was told that I did not have an appt. for 3 Dec and that they would give me one for 7 Dec.. On 7 Dec. no one showed up and no one called. Called Sears and was told they rescheduled me for 11 Dec. between 1 and 5. Now in the midst of all this going on I was told they were waiting for the part to come in. They also told me I could purchase space heaters and be reimbursed up to $250.00, which I did and was reimbursed . But I must say my confidence is shaken because of the length of time it took for my unit to be fixed from 28 Oct - Dec. 11 we had no heat. My family and I also went to stay somewhere else for a week due to the cold conditions in are house. The technician finally did show up and conduct the repair on 11 Dec..

Problem was not what it appeared to be, but technician (Sean) was able to run diagnostics and discover the real problem and repair the refrigerator. He was knowledgeable and polite. He is the technician that sold me the warranty, and for that, I thanked him!

Technician arrived three hours past scheduled time (8-12 window - he arrived 3 pm). Banged around for a while said needed to order part. A week later I called and asked if the part had arrived - said he had no idea when it would arrive. Called a week later and found the part had never been ordered! After that, the technician came several times .... never an appointment just arrived. We called customer service multiple times and were cut off after being placed on hold for 2-4 minutes. the dryer was FINALLY fixed on 10 Feb. Sears has lost a customer of 40 years.

Had to have repair technician come twice to repair a fridge ice maker under warranty. First technician was not as knowledgeable and didnt realize how to initialize the ice maker to begin making ice. Second technician was very helpful and was able to solve the problem.

Technician determined my $4,000 Samsung refrigerator unrepairable. He told me Id be getting a claim number in a day or 2. That was Wednesday morning. This is Sunday morning, and Ive not heard anything. This means Ive been without a fridge for a week now. Im VERY disappointed that such an expensive refrigerator failed so quickly, as well as your claims department being so slow.

My service call time was between 1p-5p. It is now 7:40p. I called twice and each time they assured me that someone was coming. My husband is talking with customer service and now he is being told that the service call can be rescheduled to the 16th (today is the 8th). I took off from work early to be home for the service call. I am not happy!! I will be calling someone else...

The repair technicians were great. I ended up replacing the motor because of a chopper blade attached to the motor had the gears sheered for some reason. I felt back for the 2nd technician because as Sears tried to hard sale a home insurance plan that would have cost me over 1,000 a year and I would have never used. The technician said that they would be told that he is not a good sales person (he is from Romania 2 years) because he didnt push the insurance plan. Thats not his job, his job is to fix my dishwasher. I ended up speaking to a representative on the phone who I told that I wasnt interested. I was and am very pleased with the service done on my machine twice, one to diagnose the problem and order the part and the 2nd to install. And the machine continues to run well.

Sears policy on replacing my Fridge is unreasonable. Fridge has been broken 25 days. Replacement compressor did NOT fix it. Sears coming back in 4 days and has ordered a bunch of parts which may not fix it either. I left phone message with Sears CEO. No response I have the maintenance agreement. They wont give me a new fridge until they have 4 certified visits to fix it. So far i have 2. To think they would leave me without a fridge for so long and over Christmas too.
