Of course my AC unit decided to break Friday night on a holiday weekend... I called them first thing on Monday and they were able to come out and fix the unit Tuesday morning. They came out to potentially fix a leak and refill the Freon. Found out the valves broke and they made several phone calls to find one in stock in the area to make sure I would have my AC back that day. They found them in stock and came back and did the repair. The fixed everything just to find out the fan motor was dying.. Just my luck.. They were able to find one for my unit and came right back to repair it. Its working like a charm now!! They reassured me that IT WILL be fixed and they wont leave until it gets done and they delivered!! They are very professional and had such a great experience with them. Also, as a new home owner they took there time to explain the issues that went wrong and how to do maintenance on the unit to prevent anything bad happening again. I 100% recommend Max and his team and will use them in the future for any maintenance or repairs!

Finding a good reputable HVAC company in my area is hard to do. I took a chance on calling Maximum Air Heating and Cooling Inc and it paid off quite nicely. I seldom write reviews online but after the great experience with Maximum Air, I decided to write one. Max, the owner, came out himself to do the initial assessment on my heat pump. He arrived on time and was very informative. He took the time to go over the problem and explain the details of what needed to be done. He was able to fix and correct the problem that A-1 American had left a few years back. That company was horrible but Maximum Air was terrific. Max was professional and spot on for solving the problem. Now my HVAC system is working wonderfully. I will be using them again because of the great experience I had with fixing my unit and having it run correctly. Thanks Max for doing a great job!

I called Max on New Years day, and he managed to fit me in with a diagnostic appointment first thing the following morning. He was very punctual and professional during the entire experience. Ill definitely be reaching out again should I ever need to.

Max came out and installed a new unit for us last October, 2019, he and one of his employees. They cleaned the drainage line from the air handler in our attic as well. Super affordable!! The upstairs thermostat wasnt working well, it wasnt getting to the right temperature it was set on, never turned off unless we bumped it up a degree. ODell came out and looked at the unit and said it was working perfectly, said we just needed a new thermostat and that we could get one at home depot for $50. We bought it and had a terrible time getting it installed right and getting it to turn on the unit. Put the old one back in so we could have air upstairs. We called Max and he spent about 1 1/2 hours with us on the phone to get it installed. He told us to make sure a fuse hadnt blown in the air handler, sure enough it did when we put the old one back on, it wouldnt work! So we put the new one back in with his guidance and sure enough it started working!! Its been nice and cool upstairs since and we havent had any problems with it keeping the right temperature!Thank you so much Max for your help and professionalism! We couldnt have done it without you! Thank you for taking the time on your time off to get it going right!We will never call anybody else!! Btw, didnt charge us a dime to come out or talk us through the installation!!

He explained everything he was doing and gave recommendations without being pushy.He respected my home, he wore shoe covers even when I told him that he didnt have to.He goes the extra mile. Max goes above and beyond to assist. He truly cares about the work he does and the clients he serves. He came out to my house at the last minute to assist me with an AC emergency. After my AC unit failed and my house temperature rose to 90+F, I had tried to use my home warranty to get the necessary service. The company they sent out would only diagnose, for a $75 fee. They wanted $170 to do the maintenance, were booked up two weeks into the month, and informed me that my home warranty would not cover the charges. I called Max because I had used him with a prior diagnosis, and I trust his opinion. He gave me several tips to try with the home warranty company, and contractor. He told me that he did not want me to hire him to do the work, if I could get the same job done by someone else for free. This honesty went a long way with me, and I immediately hired him for the job. He charged me less than the contractor quoted, and was able to do the work in 20 minutes. Home warranty or no, I will be bringing my business to Maximum Air from here on. They are a business that truly understands customer service and affordability,

I love, love, love this company! As a new homeowner, it took me a long time to find a heating and air company I felt comfortable with. I have now been using Maximum Air for over three years, and they are excellent--always polite, always courteous, always fully prepared and always professional. Max and his associates are amazing--there have been problems two or three other companies werent able to diagnose, that Max was able to fix in minutes. This is a top notch company--I am so glad to have found it!

Absolutely excellent service! I have used them a few times over the past few years after a bad experience with a popular company in the area. The technician was able to restore my AC and the heat actually within a matter of 40 minutes (due to having to go get a part). No tricks or gimmicks like the other company to upgrade my old unit. Just real service and real fast! I will always recommend this company! Pricing was great too! Just wish they were open on weekends for emergencies but thats not worth me taking away a star.

Update: the gentleman, Max called and spoke to my spouse after doing some digging offered to refund the amount we paid for thework the guy did I appreciate the sentiment and the call. Was very apologetic and stated that is not how he wants to do business.We had used this company in the past and was pleased with the service we received, so we called to use them again, but I guess not everyone is Max!do not even deserve one star!!They went out to the house we are renting out and the renters stated they showed up and began working on it without telling them what was wrong or calling us (the owners) to get authorization to do the work. three weeks later and countless phone calls and emails we finally got a bill via email telling us we owed nearly 500 dollars but for what the invoice said something about fixing a board and cleaning. but a week after they (fixed it) it stopped working again. they went out.... didnt call (us the owners) say they cleaned and blew out the system wasnt worth working on and then left. Now a month later they send an invoice via email stating no charge like you did us a favor! NOT! do not use them if you do not live in the state they do not ask permission to work on your appliance they just do work and then eventually send a bill a month later!

I would highly recommend!!!!!! We had another ac company which also installed our ac when we built our house 18 years ago. They always had great prices and was always prompt. We had 2 service calls in the last two months repairs were made but each time we also mentioned that the house wasnt cooling very good. Well we called again and argued that it was set at 70 and would only cool to 80 now and that was just downstairs. Finally the owner told us again its not much you can do when it get that hot. Really??? We have lived in the house for 18 years and it has always cooled. So we called a couple of places and Maximum Air was the only one that immediately knew what the problem probably was and gave us more info since I was wondering if it was something we could do...if we wanted to attempt the fix they told us what to google. It came down to cleaning...I didnt realize how technical it was so we decided to call them back and left a message since it was after houses and to our suprise they responded immediately! We didnt have to wait and schedule a morning appointment. Needless to say they saw the problem immediately!!!! Fixed it and now our house is cool like it should be. The original ac company should have known it needed a cleaning when they came out and heck they serviced it for 18 years and never saw or suggested a cleaning!!!! Maximum Air just got a new happy customer from now on!!!! Let me mention again we highly recommend!!

Maximum Air has been maintaining our 2 HVAC units for 6 years and our 17 year old main floor unit needed replacing this week. We had many questions for Max while making a decision on what unit we should have installed and he was very patient explaining our options as this was our 1st experience replacing an HVAC unit. When we finally decided, Max was here with his crew two days later for the installation 1st thing in the morning. They worked efficiently and we had a cool house by 12:30 pm. The quote was very fair. Our AC would not turn on so we gave Maximum Air a call based on the reviews. We called at 9:00am and they told us they would arrive between 11:00am-1:00pm. As I begin to settle in for the wait, 20 minutes later I received a pleasant call from Max. He arrived about 10 minutes after his call, diagnosed the problem right away, and had it fixed within 1.5 hours. He was very professional and courteous, taking time to answer all of our questions. We have had the usual bad experiences with other types of home improvement contractors in the past, but max was great. We highly recommend Maximum Air and we will be using them in the future.

Had a technician come to my house today for a diagnostic. My appointment was supposed to be between 11-1 but the technician was running behind and wasnt able to show up until a few minutes before 2; which I completely understand, it happens. Once he arrived, he was very kind and professional the whole time. The tehnician was there for 30-40 minutes. At the end of the appointment I was upset and slightly confused that the bill ended up being almost doubled what I was told that it would be for the diagnostic (no repairs were made) and I didnt have that amount of cash on me. I gave the technician all the cash I had on me and felt embarrassed. Afterward, I called and spoke to Max about this and the concern that I had and he seemed very sympathetic and understanding as to where I was coming from. After speaking with him I did feel better that he seemed to care about how I felt and states he will try to make up for it. Overall I am very happy with the customer service and professionalism within this company. We will be coming back in the future.

I called maximum air because my a/c wont work . I was able to call them and set up a appoint for that day. The tech was early and very professional as he fix my unit . The tech took time to explain to me what he was doing as he was work on my unit so I understood what they was doing. I would recommend this service to anybody.

Just to say: When I first spoke to Max he was very cordial and polite. Since I am not in VA I looked at this as a plus. I thought by reading all of the reviews on google and speaking with him, that I had got the right company for my ac unit. Well needless to say, when it came around for my appointment time they arrived about 10 or 15 mins late which really wasnt bad but they never called to say they were going to be late. Matter of fact, I and my renters had to call them several times before they decided to answer their service call from us. Professionally, that doesnt look good on their part and neither did it look good on my part.Now when they arrived, they inspected the unit and they told us that they were going to charge $90.00 for the inspection, $225.00 for the cleaning of the coil, and if it needed a charge it would have been extra for that service as well. Since my husband works on ac units but we are not there (mentioned earlier) my husband knew that those prices were clearly out of the ordinary.He spoke with them and because they did make a trip out we were charged the entire $90.00. There was no service done on the unit and he told us that the furnace door was off and he placed it back on. My husband said he didnt believe that to be true either because if that door was off the unit would not have ran. I dont know if he threw us a price or if normally thats what their prices are.

Max is awesome. Installed a new HVAC system in our house last year. Heating bill was cut about 1/3 the original cost. The system works great. They seem to take pride in their work, and do the job right. Weve also used him on smaller jobs, and he always stopped to take time and explain the problem, and the possible solutions.

I was very impressed with this company. They scared me a little bit when I called - when he was troubleshooting over the phone, he made it sound like I might have to buy a whole new system. I was also expecting a bill between $300 - $500 without buying the new system. However, Max came out, explained how my system works and best practices for making the AC system last longer. While he did say that I have an old system and it may need to be replaced in the not too distant future, he charged up my freon and only charged $105 for his work. Very professional company. I called during my lunch break and within an hour I had an estimate on my HVAC repair. Completely agree with all of the previous reviews. Max came out this morning and fixed my system, which was short cycling due to refrigerant overcharge. Another contractor came two days ago and recommended an entirely new heat pump. He literally saved us from frivolously spending $$$$ to complete unneeded repairs.Needless to say, Maximum Air has earned our familys business for all future heating and cooling needs.

I recently posted about a not so great experience I had with Maximum HVAC, but soon after I was called and apologized to for the event. I can tell he was sincere about it all and wasnt just calling because I left a bad review. Besides the one incident, its been nothing but great customer service, so I think thats more than enough to warrant a higher rating.

I called Maximum Air one morning when my furnace went out mid February and we woke up to a very cold house. Its a 20+ year old furnace, Ive issues with it repeatedly, and have had multiple companies work on it. Max came out and throughly impressed me with his knowledge and troubleshooting ability. Ive had techs come out before, spend 5 minutes, and recommend a pricey fix that half the time didnt resolve the problem. Ive also had them come out, spend 2 hours, and tell me they cant fix it. Max worked diligently and identified several issues that compounded to cause the problem. He communicated very well that those were, and had them resolved in short order, without needing to replace any major ($$) components. With the temperature in the next few days expected to be in the teens, hes a real life saver! Next time I have an issue, or when my furnace finally gives up the ghost and I need a new one, Ill definitely be calling him and his team and Maximum Air.

This review is long overdue...I used to work for maximum air a few months ago. After working there I realized it was one of the best companies Ive worked for. Its a small company with not many employees but that made it even better. Max was always helpful and always willing to teach people. He was always respectful to the customers and never offered them anything that wasnt needed. Another company i worked for used sales tactics and psychological tricks to make people feel like you were closer to them so you can sell them more items, max never once did that, and that to me is very respectful.Vlad was a guy with a good sense of humor and probably one of the most intelligent people Ive met and got to talk with. I called Maximum to fix my very old heater. He came out the same day and repaired it within minutes. He was very professional and I highly recommend this company.

I called Max in the morning about 830, cause my AC stopped cooling the day before, I had thought that it was just because it was really hot out and I had the curtains open. but once the night came around and it was muggy in the house I knew something was wrong. I checked both units upstais and outside to find the outside unit not coming on. So when I called Max at 830 he said that he was near by and would stop and look at it. He arrived no more then 10 minutes later, checked out both units, and told me the problem and he fixed, plus he told me how to keep it from happening again. Good company and out here helping his community and not trying to pull one over. I reccomend highly and will be calling him again if I have anymore problems with my HVAC in the future. Thank you

They came to my home from newport news... i am in chesapeake. spent 2 hours. found the problem which was a leak in the coil. instead of a $400 replacement they used a $75 sealant system that has worked great. i would have paid more. double thumbs up on these guys.UPDATED. I have moved to Norfolk and just had Max check out my HVAC. He came five minutes early, found significant issues (a wire arced to the freon line and melted a whole and...) and fixed it on the spot. He then check the temp of the other units which I thought were OK and found two had low freon. They now run about 20% less. All of this (plus using a ton of freon to fill the broken unit up again) for $300 bucks. Sincerely believe these guyst to be the best.

Ive used these guys twice so far. The first time, they replaced the igniter in my furnace and had me up and running within THREE hours of my call.The second time, I had some storm damage which had caused the fan in the AC unit to jam. They called right back, asked me to text them a picture of the damage, and then saved me a service call by telling me exactly how to fix it myself in five minutes.Next time I have an HVAC problem, guess who Im gonna call?
