I recently moved out of The Colony but enjoyed my time there. Hands down the most helpful person in the front office is Tremaine! He would always respond to my emails and help me out with printing random items here and there - all while being so personable and having a huge smile on his face! I will miss seeing and interacting with him!

I love this property! Price is reasonable and amenities are great. The assistant community manager, Tremaine is absolutely amazing. Super helpful and made the move-in experience very smooth for my family.

The staff at The Colony is second to none. One of my favorites is Tremaine Bean. I highly recommend leasing with and working with Tremaine at The Colony. Tremaine is extremely personable, but more important to me has been Tremaine’s work ethic. Tremaine gives 200% effort in resolving any community or personal concerns. Tremaine is efficient and he handles all matters with a smile and with quick turnaround time. Tremaine is an advocate for all the residents, as well as being a tireless advocate for helping The Colony maintain its outstanding reputation as one of the most desirable communities in which to reside. I am not alone in my praise of Tremaine. All of the residents I know agree with me, and we are delighted to have Tremaine on staff here.

Everything amazing here ! Location is amazing. Staff is amazing!!! Very helpful!!!I am giving 4 stars because I used to live here before and Colony was a really luxury place. But not now :(1. No rules anymore about disturbances noises after 10 pm . People heavily vacuum and laundry at night ( 1 am ).Sometimes impossible to sleep.2. Some flowers like jasmine ( a lot of jasmine in Colony ) make me nauseous, dizzied and headaches. It’s common side effects of a lot of jasmine for old people. I offered to buy other healthy flowers for Colony but it was refused.

In a nutshell, we are delighted with the Colony.We needed a rental for my very senior dad while major repair work was being done on his home. We looked at many possible locations and decided on the Colony because it could accommodate his mobility and safety needs (which was very difficult to find), it was conveniently located, and it offered a range of lease duration options that suited our needs.Our experience with our apartment and the staff has been excellent. The apartment, the grounds and the facilities are all extremely well maintained without exception. The leasing and customer service staff have been accessible, friendly and responsive to our requests. The following incident illustrates their service attitude. On one occasion, my dad, who uses a walker, needed to use the elevator to get to our car for an appointment. The elevator, that we normally would use to reach our car, was being serviced by a specialized contractor. I called the customer service staff and within five minutes the contractor had suspended his work and put the elevator back in service so we could use it, and everyone involved was genuinely gracious about accommodating the unplanned need.The maintenance staff is amazing. They were prompt to respond to our requests, mostly related to my dad’s needs. They installed grab bars, changed shower heads, adjusted the height of chandeliers, as well as tuning up a sliding door and squeaky drawer -- all very quickly, and professionally.Our entire family gives the Colony a big thumbs up for meeting our needs so well.

This is a great place to live, The management team makes our community alive by offering many perks and the property is very well maintained. I highly recommend this community.

I recently moved to the Colony from New Jersey, and my experience here so far has been wonderful. Every one of the Staff is friendly and helpful, and the maintenance staff is courteous and professional. The community is beautifully maintained, inside and out. I feel very lucky to be living at the Colony! Its a beautiful place to live.

This used to be a 5-star review but The Colony has become visually tacky, at no fault of the onsite staff, and I can no longer recommend it. Im a local guide and dont take a 2-star downgrade lightly, but after a week of consideration I am proceeding.The Colony used to feel premium and refined (which residents are paying for) with subtle white/tan buildings that were coastal and harmonious with what you would expect of a premium property. Recently the patios and front doors were painted various shades of ORANGE...to the extent that if you open your blinds the color GLOWS inside. While not as obnoxious as the oranges, it is prudent to call out is that main color of the buildings are now various shades of light yellow, pink and pink/tan (or maybe thats just the orange reflecting)Every resident I have bumped into (without exception and including ones that have lived here 10+ years) has brought up the new paint job ... and has indicated that unfortunately they will be moving out! Wow, thats a turnaround/mistake by the Irvine Company if such a preponderance are indicating that the quality of the community has been DEGRADED that far.The onsite staff has indicated that they have received COUNTLESS COMPLAINTS, but that the chairman likes the colors. Needless to say that I anticipate rising vacancy, as a community this hideous does not belong in Newport Beach nor will justify the previously acceptable premium rent amounts.The physical location is still desireable, and the staff is awesome, which is the only reason The Colony maintains a 2-star review and not a 1-star.

Excellent community to live with outstanding service from the entire staff

I would have given 5 stars but cannot with the orange Now Leasing signs out front. Very tacky for Fashion Island and luxury resort style complex. No need for the signs. They MUST GO! 👎

Location, location, location is an expression used by many over the years.The expression stands the test of time because it rings true.I have owned and leased property in Newport Beach for many years and location is key.I currently have the privilege of leasing with the Irvine Company at the Colony at Fashion Island.These newly renovated apts are located steps from Fashion Island and all that surrounds Newport Center Drive due to the new transportation system known as the FRANC.Free Ride Around Newport Center.This neighborhood is wonderful and the Colony apts are no exception.These homes have the charm of classic design with the bonus of updated amenities.To name a few of these the living and dining rooms are dressed with crown molding, gas fireplaces and beautiful lush carpet.The wood floors are state of the art, sturdy and easy to clean.The appliances are KitchenAid quality.I love the silent dishwasher!There is a sunken bathtub and the shower has a waterfall shower head.Luxury all round.Its a wonderful location with many amenities but most importantly are its peopleThe residents and those who manage this property are quality.The resident population is diverse in age with a common thread of being neighborly.They are friendly, respectful and courteous.A great group of people to call ones community.This culture I believe is fostered by the outstanding property managers.Tremaine, Nazar, Kenia and Casey are all exceptional in their own fields.Dedicated to their jobs, dedicated to excellence.Ask for assistance from anyone of them and all of them will follow through to the highest standard.What more could one ask for in a community setting.The Colony is a great community in a wonderful location.Im so glad to call it home.

My mother was injured due to their appliances and fixtures being old and not cared for. They blew it off as nothing then charged her for then. She lived theee for 3 months waiting for her own home to be fixed. She had a gas leak and they tried to charge her to replace the entire apartments carpet because she had a pet.(her pets were with me 30 min away her entire stay) no pet ever entered her apartment. I would never send anyone to live there. They do not take care of their residents and they are rude and inconsiderate when you ask for help.
