This place is as clean as could be. Never a problem here. I belonged to 4 spas and like this the best. All 4 closed but this has it all.

Perfect example of getting what you paid for. Great staff, answers every question they can, also it has enough amenities to keep everyone happy.. Oh and dont forget.... they have a basketball court. LA FITNESS > Competitors

Typical LA Fitness .. less crowded since the pandemic started. I think they can do better with up keep and keeping the place clean. Polite staff.

Cool gym. I go for a tour and to sign up for a membership but cant. The front desk employee stated he was the only one there. All employees that are able to undertake this responsibility are gone by 3pm. Ridiculous.

Just signed up for a new membership with the gym. Was honestly contemplating between here and Edge Fitness, but the Sales Manager Sikander was able to show me that LA Fitness is the right option. He was extremely professional and broke down the packages in a completely easy to understand way. Couldn’t recommend it more. Looking forward to safe and fun workouts at the gym! ( Hopefully the basketball courts open up soon ).

Super accommodating. I travel here for work and the team made it easy to get set up. Large clean facility. Will definitely be back. Sikander was very helpful as well.

It’s ok. Customer service could be better and cleaner bathrooms, but less crowded than most. Could be better social distances protocols enforced. But just keep my distance, wash my hands as well as sanitize.

I love working out at the this gym. The staff is very professional, the instructors challenge me. Plus, the gym is very clean. Staff go around and clean all the equipment. Yes, face masks are required because they are taking every precaution. Protocol is cleaning any machine you use or weight before and after you touch it. Honestly, this is common courtesy and good hygiene. I feel totally comfortable working out here.

Sikander is an amazing employee always there to help out and answer any questions! Will be coming back just becuase of him.

The experience in the pool is terrible since they have put in place a sign up system. The staff does not enforce and the rules are inconsistent. The front desk workers are often surly and uncooperative. In addition, the mens locker room has never been cleaned well even since the pandemic started. I recommend you look elsewhere for a fitness center.

After signing up I was offered a free assessment from one of the trainers here. While conducting the assessment, the trainer was on his phone most of the time and had no enthusiasm for the job.Once the assessment was done, we discussed the possible options on training and basically said Id get nowhere without him as my trainer. After I declined the personal training, he gave me an attitude as if I did something wrong. I eventually cancelled my membership because the same trainer would harass me during my workouts or stare and snicker at me when I entered the facility.If these are the type of trainers you hire for the business, then Id rather not be apart of it. I wouldnt recommend this gym to anyone.

I’ve been looking around for a gym that is clean during this pandemic. Staff here seems to take safety precautions and procedures very serious. Manager of the place gave me a nice tour and actually took an interest in my health goals. Highly recommend

Very clean and organized gym a lot more spacious than the edge fitness witch rather feels like a night club as its very crowded. Staff is sanitizing equipment throughout the day!! And pricing is great very affordable.

Be prepared to sign in for a lane in the pool. You can block a half hour or an hour, just know that with four lanes, you may have to wait a bit.

They keep it clean, and only allow one person per lane in the pool, due to the pandemic, but you can reserve a lane, thereby being assured of a lane. The recumbent bikes are missing the pedal straps on most of the bikes, however.

It was excellent. A complete racquetball smackdown!

Lots to offer, huge club, nice locker rooms, beautiful sauna and the staff is awesome. The pool, however, is gross. Went in once and the water was THICK and REAKED of chemicals, never set foot in it again.

Called and they said they’re open this morning come on in after snow storm. Then I get to the gym 15 minutes later and a sign says closed open at 9am 3 hours later. The workers are WORKING OUT in view and would not let any of us in outside. They said the boss called and said they open at nine. The boss should be fired.

Every time I call, the person i’m supposed to speak to about a membership isn’t at their desk. When I come in- it’s “he’s in the bathroom, he’ll be right out!” and i sit and wait for 10+ minutes.I’ve called and visited in total probably about 5 plus times and several friends experienced similar.

Love the staff. Felt safe working out there with everything going on. I see everything constantly being cleaned and everyone wearing there masks like there suppose to.

Great customer service! The assistant manager showed me a wonderful experience, how great the gym is, and on top of that informed me that everything is included in the membership!! Pool, hot tub, sauna, all group fitness classes- and more! Would definitely recommend this gym to anyone looking for all amenities included, and a super Friendly environment! You even get a complimentary fitness assessment with your membership! This gym is DEFINITELY worth every penny!!

Love going here, its clean and very convenient to get to. the staff are amazing and the facilities are roomy and spacious.

They renovated the pool and jacuzzi which is great! I love the machines and weight room. They keep it clean and the juice bar has the energy drinks I need. The classes are always packed. Great gym!

Amazing gym! I heard about the renovations so i will be coming alot more often. They cleaned the gym spotless. The new janitors did an amazing job. The members notice the difference and i recommend this gym to everyone. Great customer service.

Im happy they finally renovated the pool and jacuzzi. Management are fixing up this club a lot. I’m excited to hear that they cleaned up the club better than before. It feels nice to know they care about member concerns. Great gym overall!

I really like this gym, it has all the machines I need and is very spacious. I come with my friends mostly everyday and they love the basketball court. All the staff treated me with respect which I like. I definitely recommend this gym to friends and family.

I love this gym because they have the most amenities of any club in the area. Tons of free weights and plenty of space to lift, too. You’re not bound to a contract because it’s a month to month membership and you can cancel anytime (not that you would!).

This was my first visit to a LA Fitness gym. The front staff was welcoming and showed me around the large 1 level gym. I appreciate all the open floor space for stretching and group classes. There was a good mix of retired and young folk at 11am.

Spacious, has racquetball courts, has a basketball court. Awesome thing about this is that there’s open gym volleyball from 5pm-close on Monday through Fridays. Saturday’s 12pm to close and sundays 8pm-close. Basketball is available Monday through Friday 5am-5pm and Saturday 8-12pm.

Stair masters are shot. Need new ones. Or some serious deep cleaning. Also the bar grips are missing from 2 of the machines, which is not safe. I find myself slipping often. More stair masters need to be added as well. Other than that, I like this gym.

This branch doesn’t allow people to play basketball in the afternoon. They have volleyball scheduled so the people want to play basketball can’t and the worst part is there isn’t a crowd for volleyball they just do that so we can’t play. Literally the gym is empty when volleyball is scheduled every time. Can’t play on weekend as well because imaginary volleyball people are there scheduled for the whole day Saturday and Sunday. This Branch is a joke!!

This gym has the best equipment I’ve seen so far. The basketball court is my fav so I go there a lot. I recommend.

Typical.....no soap for the showers (again!) And the locker room was filthy (lazy and sloppy members cant find the waste bins). Ive been a member here for 5 years and theres one constant....the place is inconsistent in its cleanliness. Cant put all of the blame on mgmt as the members have to do their part BUT....... About time to go back to the Y and its antiquated equipment .... At least its clean and tidy!

The reviews about the gym being really dirty are not true. You need to go speak with Bryan the general manager. He is very friendly and easy to talk to making your la fitness experience a very pleasant one! This gym also has a basketball court which is awesome.

Newington location is one of the two best LAFitness clubs in Connecticut. The other bring Trumbull. Clean, spacious and Ive found never too busy. Thumbs Up.

My friend invited me to the newington location to try out of Zumba classes here and I was very impressed by the instructors and staff. They’re very friendly and are very inviting. Music is great too. They do have the equipment I needed which is a plus. Amazing place overall. Jose the manager was a great help.

Great space with a great variety. Some features a bit under maintained - rusty handicap chairs in pools area, some machines could use an actual cleaning in addition to the general wiping down after use,but overall I am a very happy patron!

I love it there and I am also satisfy with the new management. I see some reviews are not the best ones, but in my opinion what the gym offers is worth the money I pay. In terms of the cleaning condition, I can say from my personal experience that if you visit the gym during the morning hours all the way until early evening is usually very clean, obviously in the evenings people get out of work and it is crowded which makes the equipment at time no as clean as we expect it to be, but that happens at any gym you go during those late hours. I think they just need some more light dumbbells available, I noticed there is not enough.

Bright and clean gym (doesnt smell of sweat or cleaner), with excellent amenities including a pool, hot tub, sauna, and racquetball courts. Classes are consistently good, although each instructor has their own style and preferences. I bring earplugs to the cycle and zumba classes, since the volume is regularly too loud for me. The front desk staff is nice but not particularly helpful.

I came here with friends and we love the weights and basketball court. I can’t get enough of the sauna. This place is great!!!!

The gym is clean with a lot of machines. The staff is very helpful and always pleasant. My personal training sessions enabled me to achieve my goals being appropriately pushed through my challenges. This included nutrician and diet planning. Thank you everyone.

I love this gym and the classes and instructors they have. The spin instructors here are some of the best and the spin community is great. However, compared to other LA Fitness gyms in the area, this one really needs renovating. I never knew that a treadmill could rust. Machines are old, rusting, falling apart and desperately need replacing. For what you pay to go here, the quality could be drastically better.

Great staff. They always friendly and ready to assist with any questions. I love the kids center; Totally feel safe leaving my 5 year old behind while i workout. The girls always have the place under control and kids entertained. Im also loving the cycling class. The place is always clean and Im never waiting for machines.
