OK, so...a not so atypical occurrence in ones NYC professional life befalls me: The dreaded note under the (office) door saying something like, Fire code violation somewhere on this floor--i.e., gotta go! Ugh! 13 years in the same building, same office, same Street-meet-Avenue, Downtown New York City. The scramble was intense, the flight frenzied---but the landing! Ah, the landing: St. James patron saint of laborers...or lost souls! Perfect...been loving the 11th floor--looking right out at the Empire State Building--for years!!!
Standing between the entrances on my phone, waiting for someone who was going in the building, and the man at front desk called me in to say that I should wait where I was waiting to be on my phone, or go up!...Was that really necessary?!I was obviously already standing where I should have been while waiting, and texting on my phone!!
Volunteering at OHNY as they are getting ready for their main event in October. Solid brick building with an attractive exterior.
Clean and modern office rental but really, really pricey.
