Chose the place on a whim while I was out, so that was my own fault for not doing research first. The lady was nice, but I got a gel manicure and almost every nail was different in shape and length and not painted fully either. I regret paying for basically every aspect to be botched, with no cuticle care either. And the place looked so promising too

I just moved to this area. I was really worried about going to a new store during the pandemic. Fortunately, my friend brought me here. I am very satisfied with the cleaning work in the store, whether it is disinfection and temperature measurement when I enter the door, and they disinfect every chair and table for each customer. In addition, the store is big enough, they guarantee social distancing perfectly. I did SNS French style, very well done, this shop will become my new place.

I got dip powder manicure done by Sherry.It was amazing!!! She was so thorough and meticulous. Ive been getting dip manicures every 3 weeks for a year now and this was the best Ive ever gotten! She was so careful to cover and smooth every portion of the nail, and they look perfect. This was also the cheapest dip manicure Ive ever had. I normally spend around $55 and this was only $40.Highly recommend!!!

Although Ive been coming to Affina every month for years, I took a break due to COVID. Friday was the first time I came back, and I was super pleased with the COVID protections and the cleanliness. Everyone wore masks, the tables were spaced out, no-contact thermometers were used, and mandatory hand-sanitizer upon entry made me feel very comfortable about being indoors. As I sat down, I saw a lady across my table get beautiful chrome nail art, something Affina didnt offer before. I was ecstatic and wanted to try it for myself, so I got a simple polka dot design on my ring finger. Look at how cute the design is and how beautifully my nails are shaped. The gel application was absolutely perfect - smooth, thin, uniform, and perfectly rounded with no spillover, and my technician Lynn absolutely nailed the round- subtle almond shape I was going for. My dry cuticles are now nonexistent, and I wish I could show you what bad shape my untamed, unmanaged, and dry hands were in before Lynn and Affina. Just look at the photo. I highly recommend this place.

Affina is my go-to no frills nail place that I visit at least 2x a month. They offer a ton of Essie and OPI colors. The manicures last over a week (no gel, just natural nails). You just have to explain what you want (ie shape, cuticles), and you’ll be good to go!I get pedicures there, as well and they’re your standard pedi’s with a nail trim, foot soak, massage chairs and paint with base/top coat.The staff aren’t always the friendliest or talkative, but the frontdesk staff are nice. If you want a luxury mani/pedi, I wouldn’t say this is the place, but you can count on a long lasting nail job!

Came here for a gel manicure. Overall the service was rushed and sloppy. My technician started by roughly yanking off my cuticles and painfully filing my nail beds with an emery board, without doing anything to soften my nails prior. She then proceeded to hastily polish while several of my nails were bleeding and there was nail file residue all over my nails a fingers! She ignored me when I asked to wash my hands before polishing. I was able to talk to someone on my way out, and was offered $5 off of the $37 that I paid. Still, I’ll never come here again. My nails look worse than before.

Ah! I used to love this place and went every week but now there is a $20 credit card limit, for a $17 regular manicure. No massage while you dry your nails and then they suggest a 20% tip. I would pay $50 for a manicure if the service was great and they weren’t nickel-and-diming to save $1 from credit card companies. I hope they do right by the customers soon.

I went to this place for the first time and I got seated quick for gel manicure. They did not have a big selection of gel nail polish. I overall think that the manicurist did an amazing and careful job with the shape and applying the gel nail polish. My nail polish did not chip for more than three weeks. I am very impressed in the quality of my manicure.

I’ve been going to the salon for a while now and was always happy with the results, but last time l went there lady name Linda botched my nails! While every one was getting their keratin gloves treatment she started cutting my skin dry and made me bleed! She was very insensitive! After l asked for some oil and lotion she gave me an attitude ! All of my nails were uneven and looked like a 5 year old did them! Thanks to her l will not return to the salon. What a shame.

I never write reviews but I’ve never had better manicures than at Affina. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially given the location. The aestheticians have amazing attention to detail and give a lot of care to the health of your nail. The salon is clean and hygienic and offers free wifi. I’ve always had a great experience here.

Came for my usual pedicure and the polish looked bubbled and not smooth, the manager after her staff tried a couple of times to rectify, took over and fixed herself. Kudos to this establishment for taking care of their customers. I truly appreciate it.

Not worth it if you value your time. They will take an appointment over the phone and still make you wait 25 mins when you get there. Every time you ask them how much longer it’s 5 minutes (when it’s not). Other than that it’s fine.

Clean place, nice ladies, overall great quality of manicure and pedicure. Ive been there over 25 times and only once I wasnt completely satisfied with the result. Definitely recommend this place.

WORST PLACE IVE BEEN TOO! I just moved into the city and I decided this was a nice place. It was a 35 mins wait. Once I sat down not only did they hand me off to 1 or 2 people but 4 people til the 4th finished my nails. I had a problem with one nail and had to re explain it 4 times times to 4 different people. From the moment i walked in and waited till the moment i got up to pay it was 3 hours JUST TO DO SNS POWDER!!! Which is uncalled for and they didnt except card (but they do they just prefer card so they just say no to card but she let me pay in card since it was my first time) when i said i would only tip 3 dollars bcus i did not enjoy my experience being tossed from person to person and 3 hours for average sns nails for an expensive price she gave me attitude saying they only accept 15 percent minimum and she said that this wasnt the place for me. She was rude and belittling. I WILL NEVER GO BACK. What a poor way to treat a customer. On top of that my nail chipped after 4 days which has never happened. Just unpleasant to say nicely will be an experience here and leaving you running to a new salon to fix their mistake.

While the services are great, you need to double check the prices. They tend to charge more than the price thats posted. And when you ask, they say the posted price needs to be updated, but refuse to honor the posted price.

I get the same services every time, and every time its a different price. Went to pay and was told my bill was $58, ok. Then she tacked on another $8.50 because she didnt know I had gotten waxed, and then proceeded to tell me I now owe $71.50, WHAT? I then asked her how she came up with that number, and I was told this was a little extra and that was a little extra. What was so extra about my wax? Did they use sticks that were made from a 1000 year old Redwood??? I certainly didnt ask for or receive any special services, and certainly wasnt told about any charges outside of what I had made an appointment for. Will definitely be finding another salon that is consistent and not overpriced like this one. If the quality was worth it I wouldnt complain, but I felt my recent experience was worth sharing. Save your money.

I have been here multiple times and loved it in the past. But the quality and hospitality has gone down tremendously to the point that I will never come her again.1) upon arrival I was told to wait 15 minutes every time. Ive waited anywhere between 15 minutes to 45 minutes. Even still that has been my fault for the walk in.....2) decide hey let me make an appointment. Was told yes no problem! Picked a time convenient for them. Upon arrival receptionist tells me she cannot honor the appointment and it will take over 30 minutes. When asked whats the point in making the appointment, she says its first come first served.3) during a session, a wax technician did a terrible job and burned me to the point I had to tell her multiple times that it was too hot. After many complaints she said I was just too sensitive. When I paid I gave her an 18 percent tip (math teacher) even though I thought it was terrible, I did still value her time, and she had the audacity to ask for a 20 percent tip.4) decline in service has been a long term coming. The manis and Pedis are rushed to try to fill their time slots that they do not even honor.Im beyond angry and will be taking my business elsewhere. It had been a long time coming but I thought the few lapses was just the individuals Ive dealt with. Turns out its becoming a regular thing.

Got a lip wax yesterday that pulled off a layer of skin. I woke up this morning with highly visible scabbing around my top lip. The worker stripped my lip three times! Of course the skin came off

I went here a couple weeks ago and the woman who did my pedicure cut into my toenail on the side without warning. It was painful at the time and the next day I had an infection in both my big toe and one of my fingers. The toe infection would not go away on its own so I had to go to the doctor for antibiotics. Fast forward a week or so later and I stubbed my toe and the entire nail became disconnected from my toe. Because of this pedicure Ive had an extremely painful month with a lot of trouble walking. Luckily my finger resolved itself. I would not suggest going here!!

Cannot beat! I work as concierge at a five star hotel in the area and constantly send people over, I absolutely love affina. I only deduct a star because of their lack of color selection. They don’t have a wide variety of colors which I attribute to catering to the rich Tribeca housewives that are probs most of their clientele. I went in looking for a pretty dark purple, pretty basic expectation, but they only had a few options in dark purple that were all super similar and more reddish purple which was not what I was looking for. Fun summer colors? Forget it. Please please please!!!!! Get some more colors!!!

This used to be my go2 spot until, their service quality went down hill..... In the past I have returned many times giving them the chance to redeem the bad experiences but each time got worse.STRIKE one had an apt was not honored and waited 1 hr before being seen.STRIKE two nail tech was too rough and spoke to her twice to be more gentle (tech continued and became frustrated) and eventually made me bleed. After pulling away from the pain, I told her this was why I asked you to be more gentle, the nail tech LAUGHED!!! Spoke to the front desk, HE DIDNT CARE AT ALL, I had to insist to see another tech.STRIKE 3 A few days after my mani I received an infection on the side of my finger! I liked them bc I THOUGHT this was a clean and high rated place. THOUGHT they gave great service, but SPARE YOUR SELF bc after years of coming this happened to me.

This is usually my go-to nail salon, but today I was disappointed with my nail tech. She did a sloppy job on my gel manicure and was rushing when it wasnt even busy. She also did not ask if I wanted change from my payment, just assumed it was her tip without asking.
