For many years my family and I have done our laundry at Laundry Boy. The staff is nice and sometimes my familys laundry is delivered on time or earlier than expected which is a good thing. However quite a handful of times Laundry Boy has accidentally put other peoples laundry such as shirts, underwear and one time a towel in my familys laundry. Sometimes things from my familys laundry goes missing as well. Last time Laundry Boy didnt sent back a fitted sheet I wanted wash. Im not happy about that. I get mistakes happens but I dont like my stuff going missing or getting other peoples clothes or towels. The staff needs to pay more attention to avoid getting other peoples stuff mixed up.
I dropped off my laundry around 4 PM and was told that they could have it done by that night, or I could come pick it up any time the next day. When I came to pick it up, I brought a carrier bag -- which unfortunately didnt fit the bag of neatly and compactly folded laundry which they provided. Seeing this, the staff gave me a nice carrier bag, one of the those reusable grocery store bags, at no extra cost! Their rates are also very reasonable ($1.20 per pound of laundry, with a 10 pound minimum), and the people are friendly. Cash only!
New staff in the last few months I have found them rude on several occasions zero customer service and my wife has also found them the same. Owner is a hard worker I have known him along time but if your not around and watching your business it’s situations like this day after day multiple people being spoken to rudely and unnecessarily and your business takes a hit. Good staff is very important in every business.
First of all it is way overpriced! A small load is $4 and to drop of a shirt to get it cleaned it’s $4.95. That’s insane considering around the corner you can get the shirt cleaned in a 1. much faster dry cleaner and 2. much nicer and more up to date dry cleaner for only $1.95.I frequently have wet clothes in the dryer after a 40(!) minute round. It’s ridiculous how old the machines are. If you can avoid it then try and do avoid it. Especially dry cleaning. Go to the one around the corner on 95th (30 seconds walking) and you’ll save money and get better, faster service.
The staff is friendly some speak very good english and even the ones that dont understand what youre saying. My laundry is always clean and perfectly folded. They pick up and drop off which is convenient. One of my favorite perks. The place is clean.
I used this place as a one-time fix in the middle of a 3 week long road trip. It wasnt perfect by any stretch but the gals working there were polite, helpful when needed, and had everything I needed. They are also open until 11pm which is great when you are travelling...who wants to quit sightseeing at 3pm so you can get to a laundromat before they close at 6:00!
This little hole in the wall laundy mat is terrible. The place is dingy and dirty. The whole place needs a renovation from top to bottom. The machines are outdated and half of then dont even work. The staff acts high strung and are anything but friendly. The prices are cheap but the stores atmosphere is cheap so i guess you get what you pay for. So be careful when you do your laundry at this place because there is no telling how your clothes will come out after using there machines. So dont be suprised if your clothes come out ruined. After all there sign says there not responsible for any damages for using there machines. They warned you ahead of time.
Today was my first time there. The place is clean and small. There are just few small machines $3.25, about 10... The others are bigger and cost around $6.25. The place is cramped and there is almost no option to seat and wait for your clothing. I dont know, but I used to go to Rupert Laundromat on the 3rd Ave, a much bigger and comfortable place, but now that they run out of business I gotta adapt to new places.
Been using this laundromat for 7 years owners are extremely nice and helpful
Never had a problem here--cant say the same about their in-house service, because Ive never used it. However, their delivery service is affordable and great. I use them regularly.
The worse experience in all my life. I’m never coming back.
You want to throw your money to drain? Use this place. We recently moved into the apartment next to this laundry, so after moved in we went to use this place to wash things and dry. This place is so dirty, and workers are so rude and impolite seems veitnamese woman? And we dried clothes twice for same one, still wet, so we complained the machine need to clean the dirt back. (They locked back not to clean dirt). Suddenly she cursed us not to open, not to use this place unless to put money again to dry up. (They use to trick to money in for drying up). No A/C, only fan use for the workers, Dirty, humid, hot and terrible place. Here is my conclusion; We found fantastic place nearby(less than 50 yards, 94th and 3rd, Rupport or something), Cool A/C, Fans, Waiting patio, kind workers, Nice but Cheap than Laundry boy(Same machine $2 instead $3 etc). Trust me, I am not related or known to recommended place. You will realize what my mean wasting money to drain comparing to places. Good Luck
Only service in the area that is consistently timely in laundry pickup/delivery. Nothing fancy, never been there physically, but reliability is all I ask.
Solid dry cleaning service for a good price.
Old machines that broke down constantly. Nasty staff screaming they are closing at 9:00 PM constantly and putting the clock ahead 20 minutes so they can throw you out beforehand.I went there 20 years ago and realized why I havent been back since and dont ever plan on going back again.
The employees at this laundromat epitomize unprofessional. The worst member of the staff being the elderly woman who works in the evening. She is aggressive, abrupt, and screams at customers over problems caused by unmarked out of service washing machines, grime, and faulty dryers. On three occasions I have watched this woman scream at customers when they bring broken machines to her attention and today she pulled the same behavior on me! I have lived in the neighborhood for ten years and have never encountered such awful service from a local vendor. If you live in the area avoid this laundromat like the plague! If leaving no stars or negative stars was an option on google reviews this laundromat would be a perfect place to exercise that on.Side note: there is no such thing as hot water here
Its very expensive and the dryers dont work well
Machines are ancient and constantly broken. By-the-pound takes precedent over walk-ins, so you may be waiting awhile. The only reason they are still in business is that there is nothing else around.
The worst place!!! They take your clothes out even though you come back one minute after your clothes are finished drying and clothes may still be wet. Staff is very unfriendly. Old washers and dryers.
Friendly staff and plenty of folding tables.
Great laundry
The lady who works there was very rude to me. The agency had sent me in this laudry to work and they are paying very little imagine $ 300 for 6 days 7 to 8 hours a day so I told the lady that it was very little most of the laudry pay at $ 13 an hour that is the new law from now on and the lady told me then go back to the agency and look for something for $ 15 dollars as you say she told me 🧐🧐 be careful to send people in this laudry they are profiteers
