Ive been going to the Tailoring Room for 3 years and counting. As a little person, I need most of my clothing tailored (my suits, shirts, pants, swim trunks, jackets etc) and theres no one I trust more than Ms. Andrea, Mr. Frankie and their amazing team of tailors to get me RIGHT. Theyre the best at what they do, they make sure I walk out of their shop with PERFECTLY fitting garments, and on top of all that, theyre really sweet people. Theyre the best in the city hands down! Grateful for their services and grateful for their friendship too!

Ive had my clothes tailored in NYC & Sydney as well as in Mexico & Spain, & Andrea is by far the best. Shes altered & repaired so many of my clothes Ive lost count. She rebuilt a lovely 1940s bolero that had had the shoulder pads ripped out. She gave the bolero its distinctive 1940s shape back. She charges super reasonable prices too. Highly recommended.

I have been going to this tailor for at least 10 years. I used to go to two other tailors in Queens and two within walking distance but The Tailoring Room has better pricing and better quality of work. Now I only go here. I have brought many items here, ranging from t-shirts, to jeans, to suits, to down filled jackets. I have had clothes hem, slimmed, altered, repaired, etc. Everything has always come out perfect and they are very honest with their work and opinion on what can be done. I now live more than an hour away and still drive here because the work is top notch, especially for difficult alterations. This is the only place I trust with my clothes. I found them based on their stellar reviews online. Dont be fooled by one sour person. I was not paid to write this review and I always see happy customers in this establishment. I would recommend them to anyone.

The quality of the work is very poor. They pay for their reviews. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. A good tailor is hard to come by and based on the quality of work, I am doubtful many people are schlepping their clothes all the way from another state as reviews claim. If you dig a bit, there are pictures of their work. There are many more talented tailors at more reasonable prices.

The Tailoring Room is LEGIT. I have been going here for years and they are such a pleasure to work with. Really nice people, great quality work and fair prices. What more could you ask for? I would highly recommend!

Best tailoring in NYC, hands down! I have been coming here for 12+ years, and will never go anywhere else. Even when I lived out of state, I always brought clothes back to NYC so that I could come to the Tailoring Room. Andrea is incredibly talented, creative, thoughtful, and the workmanship is of the highest quality. I have brought professional clothing, formal dresses, pants, sweaters, shirts, and always receive compliments on the clothing Ive had tailored here. I cannot recommend them more highly!

The work was unfortunately very shoddy and unprofessional. A picture is worth a thousand words. You can see that the hem is very poorly done.Update: It has been almost 2 weeks and I have yet to hear from Andrea. I will say this: At the time, I pointed out in great detail the erratic inconsistencies in the stitching and what I was disappointed with. She was insistent that this was considered good tailoring and did not fix it then. Only after I wrote my review did I get the response below. I also started seeing a flood of forged positive reviews negatively referencing me and my review. This is beyond unprofessional.

Ive been going here for years and I wont trust anyone else with my clothes. Andrea and Frank are two of the best tailors in NYC and Ive given them some really complicated projects on expensive pieces. Theyve done them all with such a high quality and care. Trust them. They deserve your business.

Incredibly nice people, great work, fair prices - and quick turnarounds. I have had a wedding dress and coat altered with them for more of what I consider pieces in the “major” category, and several little things. Trust them a lot! Leave any prevention at the door - they work hard here and deserve great customers who appreciate them!

By far the best tailor shop in the city! From the simplest hem to the most complicated gown, their work is impeccable. I’ve been going to them for years. Take your jeans or your Prada. I love them!!!

Frank/Andrea and the crew are the best in town. No kidding. Creative, fast and affordable. They transformed my wardrobe in a way I never thought possible. They made my skinny clothes fit when I got fat, they made my fat clothes fit when I got skinny. They can take an H+M suit coat and make it look like you spent a million bucks on it. GO!

I travel here from Brooklyn for my Tailoring, wont take it anywhere else. The workmanship is top notch, the people are so nice, and Ive only ever had good experiences here, and for such reasonable pricing.

I had to have a cheap suit tailored for a wedding 3 weeks away. The suit fit like a tent and the shoulders made me look like a linebacker. The tailors and seamstresses at The Tailoring Room were able to take me in, fit it exactly, and turn it around in a week. These alchemists literally made gold from polyester. Im never going anywhere else.

They altered my wedding dress and it is perfect. The seamstress was so helpful and knowledgeable. She took plenty of time with me, was not afraid to offer her opinions when I asked but was not pushy at all. She noticed when I was still a bit uncomfortable about how the bodice rested and had a solution right away. This is a clean, friendly, well priced shop. I would recommend to anyone!

I recently moved into the neighborhood and had lots of odd tailoring jobs. I am so delighted to have found The Tailoring Room! This is by far the best tailoring experience I have had in New York City: skilled, responsible, honest and very reasonably priced. The owners are true professionals in their craft! They have now custom-made two shirts and a dress for me. The quality is excellent. I could not recommend them more highly.

This place does amazing alterations with a fast turn around. I dropped off a couple of designer jeans to be hemmed as well as an original hem. It was done beautifully. I also had to get a pair of jeans repaired by the zipper area that ripped from the belt to the bottom of the zipper, the repair was flawless.Best tailor ive ever visited.

These folks are magicians. Been coming here for over 5 years and everything I’ve thrown at them has been flawless. Most recently, I gave them a very nice pair of wool dress pants which I’ve worn a few holes into. They do this patch-like stitch, which blows my mind. Beyond this, they are pros - they are quick, organized and efficient.Btw I live in CT now and I still only go here. I tried one place once up in CT and had to come back.

After many bad experiences with tailors I was nervous finding one in the city to tailor my designer jeans. I brought just a couple pairs to start off with just in case they got mangled, but I was pleasantly surprised. This place is legit. Talented tailors and talented seamstresses. The tailor took his time marking up the jeans, and made suggestions on length while not being pushy about it.I had 4 pairs of high end jeans taken up, and had the original hems sewn back on and the job is flawless, and I had them done in a week. I will definitely be bringing my jeans here in the future.

Wandering around shops is not my thing. It is quite frustrating to find a shirt in the perfect colour but not available in your size. Or...neatly tailored trousers but available only in this disgusting beige. I am so fed up with all this that whenever there is a special occasion, I bother to come here 2 or 3 weeks in advance, talk with the specialists, take under consideration their advice and order a shirt, trousers, suit, tuxido..whatever I may need. The results are usually delighting. Frustration is out of the question.
