Really great turn around time, and also really nice guy. I am happy with the service and I don’t want to go anywhere else now.

Marco did a fantastic job. Brought in a suede jacket that was bothering me because I liked everything about it except the length, hardly wore it because of it. Marco shortened the bottom perfectly (and even replaced the zipper with a better one) and I wore it all the way back home even in 75 degree weather because it finally felt great to wear. Can’t wait to wear it all the time it as soon as the summer weather ends.

Marco is a remarkable tailor! I owned a leather jacket I wasnt able to wear in years because the sleeves were too long. I brought it to him and sure enough, he did his absolute magic on them. Super nice guy and he really takes his time to make sure youre satisfied. Now I am beyond happy to be able to wear this jacket. Would highley recommend going to him for any tailoring service.

Marco is hands down one, if not the best, tailor in NYC. He is extremely responsive and even stayed late one Sunday night to squeeze me in for a time sensitive tux alteration. Every suit/tux he has altered for me fits like glove and is comfortable. He will take a $400 suit and make it look like a $1,200 one. I won’t even use in-house tailors at suit retailers (even the reputable ones) anymore. I bring all my suits to him. 10/10 on customer service, timely alterations, skill and knowledge, location, and price. I highly recommend giving him a try!

Marco is such a sweetheart! I had a very special leather jacket - a gift to my dad from my mom who has since passed. He took in every measurement just perfectly. Wonderful service and attentive. Any changes to leather will be somewhat costly but so worth it. I’m very happy with my leather jacket. Gracias!

I recently got a hand-me-down leather motorcycle jacket from my uncle — we found out it was a size 38, big for me (Im a tailored 36). I needed the sleeves shortened, and shoulders and sides taken in.Everything I read on reddit said its a huge risk to try and get leather tailored, they need the right equipment, its very hard, and requires skill and experience and if they dont know what theyre doing, theyll ruin itI read reviews from around the city and ultimately took it to Marco thinking well I got it for free so ... here goes. Marco is friendly, professional, and incredibly welcoming. He gives off the energy that he absolutely loves his craft, and just loves working with clothes and leather. When I came back a week later, the jacket felt like it was custom made for me — sleeves are exactly right, shoulders are exactly right, the body is correct but doesnt restrict when I move my arms around, and still has the room to wear thicker winter sweaters underneath. If you have any leather at all, Marco has the skill to handle it correctly.Leather tailoring IS expensive. Theres no way around that but it is a skill that can only be done by hand and with years of experience, so it felt correct to pay him what his skill is worth. Just know that going in, put aside some money each month, and get it done.

After consulting with a few tailors on Staten Island, I was becoming frustrated that Id have to replace my one-year-old Schott Perfecto jacket. (Unlined, full grain leather, cafe-racer style jacket) I had lost 70lbs, and needed someone who could turn a size 46 jacket into a 40.After a quick Google search, I found Marco, and after reading some reviews, I decided to give him a try. He answered the phone after business hours and gave me an appointment the next day.Marcos measuring technique seemed a bit unorthodox, which made me nervous, and his price was a little higher than I had anticipated; but a week later, I had a leather jacket that feels custom made for my body. He narrowed the shoulders (Which is almost impossible to get right on an off-the-rack garment), tightened and shortened the sleeves, and narrowed the body- and the job was done in HALF the estimated time.Excellent work. Couldnt be happier. 100% recommend. Thank you Marco!

Excellent tailor, the best in Manhattan. Marco has tailored a number of sport coats, pants and shirts for me, each time to perfection.

I’m writing this review hoping it could be helpful to people who are looking for a good alteration service in New York.I went to 6th Avenue Tailor about a year ago to alter a few dresses, work skirts and dress shirts as I recently lost weight. I usually have my work clothes custom-made by a tailor in my home town so Im not new to the experience. 6th Avenue Tailors charged me a little over $500 for all the alterations. Yes, it was expensive but I was willing to pay the price as long as the work was done properly. Except, the quality of alterations was subpar.First, my light grey skirt was stitched with black threads which were clearly visible. I asked that to be fixed, and it was done. Second, I had to come back 3 times for my clothes to fit properly. One dress was too tight, the other one was too loose. After multiple trials and errors, the clothes finally fit me. A few months later, I travelled to my home town and brought the clothes to my usual tailor because one of the threads were loose and I was still not fully satisfied with the way some items fit me. The tailor turned my clothes inside out and showed to me that there were no overlock stitches over the edges of the material. It means it was a matter of time for my clothes to fall apart. My review has nothing to do with people who work at 6th Avenue Tailors—they were nice—it is about the quality of their services. I had to take time off work to visit them multiple times, supervise their work and still got a bad quality work. I would not trust my clothes to them if I were you.

Excellent work! I got a bridesmaid dress and my wedding dress altered here and had a great experience. The wedding dress had some tricky changes, and they did a beautiful job. The prices are reasonable for Manhattan and the work superior.

Just bought a beautiful hand crafted black biker jacket from Marco himself. One that you can practically wear with anything. This man has a gift when it comes to leather works! And will definitely do business with him again.

This guys a swindler. He lied about how much it was gonna cost because he knew I didn’t have time to haggle him. First he said it was $300, which is ridiculous, then he said 150, and then when I went to pick the suit up, he said it was 200. My fault for letting him walk all over me, but he definitely knew he was taking me for a ride. Don’t go here.

Quality of work, sense of style and value are superb. They re-made a 15 year old leather coat into a hip biker style jacket and the fit is perfect. I also took in a new shearling jacket to have it tapered, shortened and a bit of the fur trim reworked. The jacket went from an okay coat to a perfectly fitting high style version. Highly recommended!

This place is a gem in the ocean. You may not expected a lot in Koreatown, but Mr.Kim is one of my best tailor in my life. Also, price is really good. He respects customers opinion and try to listen yours as well as advise at the same time. A++ for my suits as well!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.Their employees are dishonest and will attempt to scam you.Whilst on a trip to New York from Australia I bought a jacket that required four buttons to be sewed onto the sleeves on each arm. The employee at this store attempted to charge me $80 USD which is outrageous for what is a 5 to 10 minute exercise and further stated that I would have to pay him in cash and could not offer a receipt or proof of purchase (presumably so that no record was created and the owner / his boss wouldnt find out about this).Once I looked up the schedule of rates on the website and realised that the price is a fraction of this, I confronted the employee, at which point he attempted to lie and say that the price list on the website is 6 years old and things have changed. I then asked him whether there was a new price list on hand I could sight, or just anything really that could justify such a ludicrous quote as its vastly different from what my hotel had to told me to expect. It was at this point that employee started to panic and began pacing around the room, pretending to look for a price list and saying no repeatedly until I took my jacket and got out of there as quickly as possible.Unfortunately this business has opportunistic employees who, in trying to make a quick buck, have now damaged their own businesses reputation in the process. Its a shame really as this place otherwise appeared to have reasonable reviews online.I would urge people to go elsewhere. Nobody should support a business that attempts to extort its customers.
