Great service. Quick, easy, and professional

First I would like to say I never ever write reviews. Its just not my thing but for Marco I will make an exception. Ive been a customer for over 10 years. Ive been there so many times they consider me family. Im proud of that. Marco the owner, his elegant wife Elizabeth and their beautiful assistant Lizbeth are amazing people. Marco is a perfectionist in every way. I can be satisfied with an alteration but he wont give me the garment unless its perfect. Im a sample sale bargain hunter and I find great deals on high end clothes, sometimes I spend more on the alteration than the garment itself. I can also buy a cheap suit for a $100 and spend $150 on the alteration because the suits looks amazing when hes done with it. I always get compliments on all my suits due to Marcos work. You could say Im a walking billboard for the shop. Ive used another tailor in the past to save a couple of bucks and Marco ended up fixing their mistakes. If you go home and see something that needs to be corrected its never a problem. If you need something rushed he can handle it. You wont be disappointed if you trust him with your clothes and if you are lucky youll become part of the family!

Marcos and his staff are very pleasant, professional, and reliable. Im a long time customer and as a result of Marcos excellent work and attention to detail I will never go anywhere else. The custom suits hes made for me are perfect and the off the rack suits that hes altered now look like custom suits. Ive had everything done here - jeans, tuxedos, suits - and the work has been flawless. Highly recommend this place because of the product and the people.

Very warm and welcoming in terms of service and a bit tucked away on little brazil street above an Italian restaurant. Ambience felt very professional and also the advise from Elizabeth was very thoughtful. In terms of price be prepared to pay steep mark up for rush and express services. My 2 blazers came at $220. 🙄🤓. Its how it is 🙂.

I love custom things and when it comes to fabric related customization NYC is the spot I go even if its 3 hours from home. In this case a Levis Trucker Jacket needed some love and a custom liner is what I thought it could use . After I found my fabric I did a quick review search to find a local tailor that could bring my idea into reality . Charlies Custom Tailor Alterations seemed to fit the bill so I headed there. I found a nice shop with a warm, friendly, and knowledgeable service staff. I was quoted a very reasonable price and time frame so I gladly excepted. Close to the date I was picking the jacket up they were dealing with bad weather and potentially being closed but they thought enough to call and give me a heads up 48 hours ahead of time. In the end they were open the day I was coming but I appreciated the heads up and wish more business would be so proactive in these sort of situations. The work they did on the jacket is immaculate and exceeded my expectations. Im thrilled I found this place and now when I need some alterations or custom work I have tailor I can count on . Life gets better all the time .

I purchase a dress from the designer Roberto Cavalli, very expense y fancy dress, I was very concert about were such I the get my dress altered because I was looking the ver well fit. my friend Kelly recommended Charlies Custom Tailor for the alterations, The time I went in, I felt that I was in the right place. The staff is very friendly, first they explain me everything if anything was not the way I want it, they took the measurement, for the shoulder, the sides and the length, also Elizabeth explain that she will working with me until I will be happy. I went there only two times and my dress was exactly how I want to be fitting on me, I really glad that I come here for my alterations. they are really professional and they really know about tailoring fancy and expense garment. Didnt decent job with a trouser alteration on quick notice. But please be very clear on how much you want altered. I had to go back again because they didnt hear me correct the first time.

Best alteration experience of my life!!! The quality of the alterations is perfect. Their customer service is great, theyre always really welcoming, and wont let you leave the store until you are 200% happy with the job. Whenever I buy a suit, I have to take it with a tailor, to fit measure because nothing fits on me from the shops, the cost is usually high for the alteration and I been tried many tailor, so I decided to try with a tailor made custom ​​suit. After exploring a couple of places, i come to Charlie’s custom tailor and the care and service is excellent and professional, I was treated by Marcos, I confess that in the beginning was unsure to put my closet in her hands, but after hearing about his career in tailoring, (family business), I knew I was in good hands, talking about the kind of work I do and how I could get more out of my clothes, also prices of clothing store and custom made, I understood that my clothes had to be tailored this for the shape of my body. Anyway could never be better than one made for me, Also I spent the same money like to get in the store, thanks to Marcos for being honest and also for the work youve done for me, the services is totally very good and professional, Im really satisfied.

This place did really nice work but is a little more expensive then I thought they would be. Hemming a layered dress is $40-70 and I was charged $100 for a chiffon hem. Like I said, great work, but definitely a little pricey.

Staff is very friendly. Came here for alterations. Did the work and allowed me to pick up a bit earlier. Overall the prices seem a bit higher than normal for alterations. Work done was fine.

I came for alterations for a pair of pants, 80 bucks, work properly done. I came one month later for two more pants (exact same alterations) and the guy asked me ... 360$ ... he did not get the job.

Came here to get 4 pairs of pants hemmed and 4 shirts altered almost entirely. 3 of the 4 shirts where made much too tight and short on the sleeve. 2 of the 4 pairs of pants were hemmed about 1 in. too high. Prices are too high (paid much more then listed price range) for such poor work.
