Quality matters and the shirts that are made here are by far the best I have had made. Similarly, the suits are constructed to last. My first suit from 2017 has taken a beating with regular usage. Despite this, the suit still holds up/drapes as if it were new and continues to garner compliments.

After reading many reviews, I decided to go to La Rukicos to tailor my new suite. I was a little concerned when I was first being fitted as I was looking for a more modern European look and the shop was adorned with a lot of classic style suites. However, after showing the team a photo of what I was looking for they perfectly executed my desired look. I would recommend La Rukicos to anyone, but would suggest to come with photos of what you are looking for.

One thing on my mind on my trip to New York few years back was to explore custom clothing options. I happened to visit La Rukico Custom Tailors and am glad I met them.The staff was awesome, fabrics were nice and their attitude was friendly and professional. They guided me with what I wanted, explaining where necessary and still giving me the necessary freedom of choice.I happened to order 2 custom tailored suits from them and they delivered perfect fitting suit at my home in 4 weeks. The suits came out perfectly and Ive been a regular customer ever since.I can now order from comfort of my home. They have my measurements saved and every time the custom clothing comes on time and it fits great. On one occasion I needed a few changes after I placed my custom suits order. I ordered 4 suits. Paid $5500. On first try on the suits were very ill fitting and had to be altered. Once altered, the suits were now huge and visible seams in places on the jacket that shouldnt contain seams now existed. I confronted Kelly and even had one of his employees agree with me that the product given me was far from what passes as a custom made suit. Yet despite this damning admission, nothing was offered to me in terms of rectifying this untenable situation. Im beyond disappointed and have written off the purchase as a bad investment. These are now my rainy day suits. I could have gotten better suits at Mens Warehouse!

I buying from La Rukico for many years and couple of times small order issues and they fixed it but its cost time and money to go back to back to them.Last order was messed up twice and third time its still not what I paid for and this time Mr Kelly was so rude.I will never go back to this shop ever again.My advise is do not pay them in full in advance and must check your order carefully before making the payment.Bad bad bad customer services.Almost 6 or more Months 3 trips to Manhattan NY my order and still not correct order and while I am trying get this fixed I placed another order.Out all your customers I am UN-happy with how you handle my complaint and you must have more UN-Happy customers as well.

I was looking for a good custom tailor in New York for a long time. I went to so many throughout the years of my career in business in New York City and I have used several.... I used Alexis Custom Tailor, he did my custom suit for Christmas in 2011, even earlier than that I had suits made for me in Queens by the Honk Kong guys and I also purchased ready to wear suits in Europe when I traveled there for business in the 90s. But no custom suit was ever made as at La Rukico Tailors in Manhattan. That master tailor ( Mr Kelly ) is an exceptional guy. From the moment you walk into his tailor shop you know you are in different world, a world of luxury men fashion. The prices are moderate but the fabrics and the craftsmanship there are really the highest end. When I picked up my suit yesterday I was very happy. I wore it right away and went to my parents house to show them the suit. They loved it. they said I looked like a model... The suit was also made the way that it was slimming me down and was making me look skinny. Mr Kelly really knows what hes doing. Hes really a master tailor and a Pro. And the entire cost with the vest was $1,200 ( for 3 piece custom made suit from imported Italian fabric in the city thats like a steal ). From now on Mr Kelly from La Rukico is the only tailor I will go to.I recommend him to any NYC businessman.

La Rukico is known for mens clothing. But they can do womens clothing well as well. Im very petite and can never found coats that fit me perfectly. They did such a wonderful job! Impeccable details - lining, inner pockets, monogram. My favorite detail was they did a double front pocket for me. The second one is hidden behind the first one with an invisible zipper. Thats where I put my metro pass in, very functional. They are my go-to tailor now and I highly recommend them. The selection of fabric there is AMAZING!! I originally thought they only have suiting and coat fabrics. I was totally wrong. They have a wide selection of Tweed and silk as well.

La Rukico is a boutique type shop for truly custom made clothing. Mr. Kelly and his tailors are experienced, courteous, creative, and helpful. I had a particular request which several other custom clothiers couldnt accommodate. I wanted a Nehru type suit made and Rukico made it beautifully and had it ready a few days ahead of schedule. All custom shops have access to the same fine fabrics. The difference is in the fitting, service, and attention to details. La Rukico is my choice from now on.

As a traditionally shaped lady, I had terrific fun being fitted by the team. The suit fit brilliantly. I love my shirts. They made me feel very comfortable while setting me up with a blazer, vest, skirt and slacks.I will continue purchase custom clothing with La Rukico Custom Tailors. Now that they have my measurements, ordering is a phone call -- although, given a choice, dropping in is always worth the trip. It is just too much fun.

To date, I’ve purchased three suits and six shirts (awaiting another two suits) and have been impressed with the fit and quality. I have worn the suits almost continually for six-months and they’ve held up to wear and tear (with the exception of the loss of the odd button). The price point is medium-high, but you pay for what you get. They memorialize everything post-order by email and communicate the moment the suits are ready. Takes approx six weeks from fitting to collection. If you’re in midtown east, and are considering switching tailors or buying your first bespoke suit, you’re not going to go wrong with this place.

I bought a custom bespoke suit from here that was great. Max is a great tailor and the fabric was beautiful. Then I went to Hong Kong and went to Sam’s, which is “world renowned” for their suits. Bought one there, and the fit and fabric were both worse! So I came back to La Rukico and bought another! Best bespoke suit ever!

You cant go wrong - trust me - I am very discerning about my clothes and I dont want to wear any other suit out of my closet!

I purchased 5 shirts from La Rukico Tailors (as a new customer based on the recommendation of a good friend) and they were excellent/great quality and fit. One of my favorite shirts by them was torn in a restaurant -- the edge of a table had a nail hanging out which ripped the right sleeve of my shirt. I thought it was done for...it was a bad tear and was not really repairable. I told La Rukico and they took in the shirt, gave me a brand new sleeve FOR FREE and the shirt looks immaculate. They also allowed me to get another new shirt for my trouble at a discounted price. Their customer service, willingness to help and attention to detail was amazing. I am now a life long customer!

Was supposed to have my jacket done for a wedding and when I came back to get it 4 days after it was due to which I gave sufficient time for, he said he completely forgot about it and offered no reconciliation except an apology. Didnt even offer some type of credit, instead he gave me my jacket back and said he cant do it. Horrible customer experience after I had already paid $340 for alterations prior to this! Completely Disgusted!

The whole process was seamless and quick. I was measured, chose my fabrics, and all my details within 30 minutes. The suit and shirt came in a week earlier then promised - and it fit like a glove. He also dispenses rarely honest advice about whats suitable and whats not--even if the suitable option is cheaper--while helping you remain as economical as possible within your budget range. I was looking to get a tuxedo for an upcoming wedding. Being in a bit of a time crunch, I was worried that I would not get it in time, but Mr. Kelly took great care of me. Further, it was made with Dormeuil cloth, for a really reasonable price.Highly recommended and will be going back for some business suits.

Bought my first suit 3 weeks ago from La Rukico after buying more than 10 suits from another custom suit maker over the last 3 years. Long story short, I will be a La Rukico customer from now on. Unbelievable value, customer service, shipping time etc... Everything was top of the line from the second I walked in the door 3 weeks ago. Suit arrived in less than 3 weeks and is without a doubt the nicest suit I now own. We were a first time customer and ordered 3 shirts: 1 wrinkle free, 1 regular and 1 untucked. The untucked one they made was just the same as the other two (way too long to wear untucked). The store (reluctantly) replaced the shirt (not without a lot of hesitating and complaining about what to do with the faulty one - their problem) and the wrinkle free fabric we ordered doesnt turn out to be wrinkle free at all. I am not a happy customer

Mr. Kelly and his team are top notch professionals in the industry and are true masters of their craft. I got a loro piana suit with an extra pair of slacks within a month. It was hand stich and tailor made to myself which is great having broad shoulders. My clients and even randon people in the streets of NYC will random compliment me having a such a nice suit.

Excellent quality for a reasonable price

Referred by a friend and customer for over six years. I visited their shop a couple of months ago with the idea of buying only one suit. After seeing their fabrics and speaking with Mr. Kelly and Neil I was impressed with the level of service and bought two suits instead. I went with the Dormeuil 15 point 7 and the Loro Piana Super 170s wool. In addition to the suits I also ordered the Alumo Soyella custom shirt. The quality and service of Mr. Kelly and company is outstanding and I highly recommend their service.
