This shop is ok. Some barbers are better than others. The elder workers pretty much don’t do what you ask for though so be prepared

Simply outstanding. This is probably one of best cuts Ive ever had. Miguel is truly an ace barber. He handled the scissors like a fine artist. I told him what I wanted and I knew immediately I was in the care of a craftsman. This level of service and skill is a steal for 20 bucks. Highly recommended.

Reviews of my haircut from friends/colleagues: spectacular looks great your best haircut ever. To me it looked fine not incredible, and maybe its just that I hadnt had a haircut in a year so there was a lot of room for improvement, but who am I to question consensus? It was also very fast. And cost $20. Older barber, didnt catch his name.

You cannot go wrong with this classic 9th avenue institution. Russian Americans run the place with a dry sense of humor, a load of regulars keep returning, the cuts are good and always on point. You also pay a good price $20+tip. You can also have your beard done if needed. Not to be missed if you want good results.

Miguel is my go-to barber. Ill be a regular every two weeks for a skin fade and beard shape up, and I live in Jersey! My GF says Im like a new man every time. Wait can be long but well worth it.

The staff was super friendly. They use a straight razor too, which is a lost art these days. The attention to detail is great too! Im from out of town, and these guys will be my regular barbers if I ever move here.

I have been to a lot of barber shops in the city and in my opinion this is one of the best ones out there. I always get a good haircut no matter who cuts my hair and when they shave your neck with an old school razor, it is the icing on the cake. Remember its cash only.

Pretty consistent barber shop with good prices and fast service. You have to know what you want though, these guys are all business and not there to imagine for you. My regular spot for a few months now.

Tonight I tried to get a hair cut after 6:30 Pm. Two barber shops were still open but told me I was too late and refused to take me on. I kept walking until I walked up to Three Aces barber shop. Even though the door was locked the owner opened the door after seeing I was disappointed that they were closed.I got an amazing haircut. Great customer service that went above and beyond.. TPC

No Frill Barbershop. Pretty decently priced for NYC. You. Will find a lot of regulars here, so there is usually a wait, but it goes pretty fast. They also do straight razor on the back of your neck. Very consistent service.

Easily the best barbershop in Hells Kitchen. Always busy but the line moves fast as a lot of guys are waiting for specific barbers. Less of a wait on Sundays if youre short on time.

Rude and doesnt know how to give fades.I asked for a fade, the guy didnt know how to do one. After that he lied and refused to shave. Never going back there.

If you care about your hairs health or good service and care, dont come here. This place is geared toward the young who want a quick buzz-cut type of haircut.They try to give all the customers the same type of cut regardless of instructions -- they treat all types of hair the same way.Examples: making a customer wait on the barbers chair to take a smoke. Place and barber reek of smoke. Inattentive and constantly distracted. Picking up his personal cell phone multiple times in the middle of the haircut. Going outside in the middle of the haircut. Without a warning and without asking, uses blow dryer. Uses blow dryer on the highest temperature and without a heat protectant. Burned hair and burned scalp to the point where scalp is inflamed. Damaged hair and scalp. He doesnt know how to use a blow dryer. For a barber, thats unforgivable.

Solid local barber - often a wait but there is a high turnover so usually goes quickly. Many people are waiting for a specific barber, but any time I have gone I have just gone with whoever was available and have been satisfied with the cut.

Ive been going to 3 Aces since 2010 when I moved to the city. I have always liked my haircut and always thought it was for a great price. Lots of great people working there, Id recommend trying it out for yourself.

The dude named Isaac litreally just completely shaved my beard I only asked him to trim it and I showed him a picture of it done I don’t recommend this place to anyone that care about what they look

Sadly, they are losing what made them good. Been going here for 7 years - used to be $14! always got a great cut from any of the barbers. No longer the case, but some the good barbers are still there.The newer guys don’t always listen closely to what you want. They now have new barbers that like to step outside for a smoke while people are waiting and they’ll come back and work on you wreaking of cigarettes. Today, I had my last bad experience - I walked out! Never did that before. The barber told me he was ready as he went to the register to cash out his last customer. Then he stayed there to chat for a few minutes. WORSE, he walks past me as I’m in the chair to head outside. He says, “one minute...” I noticed thru the window he was chatting with someone on the sidewalk as he was clearly texting on his phone. Poor service. Too many other options in this locale.

Regular mens haircut $18. Not sure how much for ladies but as its a barber shop clientele when I was there was exclusively guys.There was a line of 10 people when I walked in 30 minutes before closing time. I felt bad because I thought I was gonna keep them late. Instead I was sitting in a chair in 15 minutes with Yasha hacking through my head (haircutting instructions were shorten it up by 6 weeks or so), and a few minutes later I had a sweet new do PLUS straight razor shave around the ears and neck.Will be back for another haircut and a full shave the next time the beard is growing out.

A 100% terrible experience... and a pleasant experience and result is exactly what getting a haircut is about for most men.Very unpleasant staff, rude and unnecessarily unpleasant.And a bad haircut to really top it all off. I really wouldnt recommend this place atall.

Great cuts, Aaron,Nick, or Mike, moves the customers fast. A must go, if you dont already have a favorite nearby.

Today one of the hairdressers in the salon gave himself a tip of $ 7 on my cut to $ 23 (a tip more than 30%) by giving me back $ 10 on the advanced $ 40 ... I claimed my $ 7 and gave him $ 5 ... he allowed himself to comment aloud to his colleagues in his mother langage ... very disrespectful ..I will not go back and already made a lot of comments in France not going there !
