Zoya has to be the most attentive Barber I ever had. She asked so many questions about my haircut preference which demonstrates a high level of skill. Most other Barbers dont know or dont care because theyre training is so hardwired into them that they they treat everyone the same. Highly recommend these guys.

Quick friendly and reasonable. Everyone seemed like they were enjoying themselves. Hair cut was good with Gregory. Incandescent lights go a long way toward feeling good while youre in the chair.

Very nice service, good people and my baber was very kind as I asked him to cut twice since I wasnt happy the first time. He did it without complaining. The only problem is the only take cash so its a no no for only cards people. Just 20 dollars for a hair cut which I feel is pretty decent being in Manhattan. Overall happy with the haircut.

Very cozy traditional barber shop in the Chelsea area. No fuss, just walked in and got a great haircut for a fantastic price. The staff are friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for a haircut in this neighborhood go straight to Freestyle. I’ll be going back.

I was a little hesitant walking in since it was my first visit and only had the reviews as my guide. Needless to say I walked in a lunch time and Gregory sat me immediately. He politely asked what I wanted and began to deliver on my ask, in about 20 minutes and $20 later I couldnt be more satisfied with the service provided.

THE best barbershop in Manhattan. Ive be getting my hair cut by Leena for 20 years, but from the entire, talented, and VERY affordable crew, Ive never seen a dissatisfied customer. Leena, Sonya, Lillya, Gregory, Eddie bring such a happy, upbeat, relaxed energy to the place. You KNOW whether a small group of artisans enjoys going to work, or its just a J.O.B. that is required to pay the bills. All fit the former catagory. Stopped in for a hair cut while in New York, the conversation was great and the mood in the shop upbeat. Cash business only so bring enough for the cut and the tip.

This place is a gem. Walked-in on a Wednesday afternoon, was seated immediately. The barber (Lilia? Something like that) listened to me, took her time, and went to work. Haircut cost $20. I was told this place was awesome by my friends and was not disappointed.Haircuts are cheap; leave a good tip if youre happy. They could easily charge another $10 per cut.

Great place and very nice people and service. You barely have to wait, which is critical for me. It’s my routine haircut place. If you are looking for your “once in a lifetime, pre wedding hair stylist” than maybe try something on fifth ave. Overall, they are doing a great job and the place is very clean

Haircuts are now $20, which is still considered affordable in these parts! Besides the price, what is most impressive was that 3 out of 4 barbers were women. Of all the cheaper barber shops Ive visited, I havent once seen a female barber. Alas, when it was my turn I got the guy. He worked quick and checked in multiple times to make sure the cut was to my liking. I can always judge a cut by how much I need to touch up when I get back home. Amazingly, I didnt need to after coming to Freestyle.

Giving it a 4 only because its cash only. other than that, clean place, happy with my cut. there were 4 stylists/barbers working so although i went in with 2 people ahead of me, it went fast. doable in a lunch break for sure.

Ask for Zoya. She is so meticulous and detail oriented. She probably uses 14 different kinds of instruments to shape your hair. And she has a great eye for aesthetics. For 20 bucks, this is a steal.

Ive been twice now and had very positive experiences both times. Leena and Makhail(?) delivered results I was very happy with, despite my vague and probably unhelpful instructions. I was in and out in 25 minutes each time, and was there during my lunch hour. Would definitely recommend.

I was in town on vacation but needed a cut before I head home to a full week of meetings and playing catch up . I Googled and saw I was only 1 block away at my hotel and the reviews were solid . I walked in and only waited about 3 minutes before I was in the chair . The gentleman was very polite and courteous . I get the gentlemans cut with a 1 faded up and he nailed it . Great cut, great service . I payed 24 bucks with tip . Only a few bucks more than what I spend in KC so it was a deal for Manhattan.

Well after I was waiting for over a 30 mins in Manhattan Barbershop on 261 21th st,I decided to go to another place n thank God I found this one..and in less than 15 min Im done with my son hair cut..I highly recommend this barbershop to anyone that need a hair cut my son was happy with the hair cut..fast and a good price..Ill come back

I was looking for a new barber close to work so I gave this place a shot cause the reviews were ok. I asked for a cut and a shave was done by 2 different people the haircut looks like I did it myself they did not lineup the front or side of my head just my neck. Then i asked for a beard trim they did not line up my mustached and I still have hair all over my neck. Never going back

Lost my barber down the street at Made Man and after testing several of the other barbers there, I wound up at Freestyle. Not only was the haircut very good, but the price cant be beat, and the ladies who work there are gorgeous!!

So I went there yesterday, asked the guy to do a low fade cut and I explained in details how I wanted it,....I even showed him a pic of my previous haircut, he ended up doing a weird high fade, then when I told him that was not what I asked for.....he was like well next time go to your other barber who gave u that cut just like on the pic......Very weird and unprofessional
