I’ve been going to Marty’s for the last 3 years after a friend of mine recommended them to me. They’re awesome! Really professional and courteous service. Everyone who works there is really nice and knowledgeable. Whenever I needed a quote for anything I got it right away. Really great location because it’s easy to get to .. right in Chelsea- but on the West side off 10th ave which means you’re not really driving on a super congested block like 6-8th aves. Plus if what you’re getting done will be quick or even a few hours, there’s plenty to do in the area while you wait - restaurants, the pier, or just walk around the neighborhood. 10/10 I recommended!

Second time visiting Martys. This time it was for a second opinion on issues from an inspection. They said only 1 of the 3 things I failed at another shop were real. Saved me a ton of money.

Just had my inspection completed here. No nonsense, quick in and out service, no attempts to inappropriately/unnecessarily upsell. As with any downtown location, parking/entry can be tough but these guys have a convenient way to queue up down the street and they flag you in when they have an opening. I was in and out with my inspection in 30 minutes. Enjoyed the conversation with the guys during the inspection - cash only for inspections ($37 or $38).

These guys are Grade A people! A friend blew a tire on the west side highway between Houston and Clarkson and I found this shop on Google Maps. I asked if they had a lug nut wrench to remove the damaged tire from my friends car and they allowed me to borrow it and return it with no charge. I gave them $10 for their help anyway, but these guys were super friendly and accommodating. Thank you again for helping me today 🙏🏾.

I have been going to this shop for about 3 years, never had any problems, prices seem fair especially considering its in Manhattan. Do not expect a pep boys type of place with a lounge area... this is a working shop, standing room only. Ive done oil changes, inspections, a/c compressor and radiator fan change outs here and as I said no problems

Unprofessional, rude and just wrong. I had a bad tire and drove to this shop. First he claims that he had no workers to help. Went to use the bathroom which they allowed me to do and no work is going on. Meanwhile, customers are going in and out for quick work. Then, I assured him that Im a mechanic and could I borrow some tools. Even said Id pay. He then said that he doesnt have any tools for my car. Told me to go to another shop.

I asked them to change my timing belt about a year ago as part of preventive maintenance. Last week the car stopped working. According to a different mechanic a timing belt roller crapped out. Martys didnt change the rollers which would have been part of the timing belt kit. The other mechanic said they did a sloppy job. After two other separate repairs, I had to return to Martys immediately after taking the car. Ive had mechanics in 3 states.. never again.

Just got my car inspected. Excellent experience. Was already there when I called at 6:45am. Performed the inspection in 15min. Clean shop. Didnt makeup any bogus defects for repair.

I can’t speak for the mechanic work or bodywork as I wasn’t there for those services. However, judging from their ethics I would not use this autobody shop. I needed to do an auto inspection for Geico. I had call to see if I can show up within 10 minutes. I was told that appointment was not needed and that I can show up anytime between 9 to 3 Monday through Friday. When I show up I was told that the Auto inspection guy is not available. However I can give a little tip off $20 to have another guy in the location to do it. The tip is required because it is not his job to performed the photo inspection. And that they only get five dollars from Geico. Also they rather not be bother with photo inspection anyway.

Typical mechanic who wants to take advantage of people. Came in for an estimate to repair a stain, I didnt know what it was. He said its chipped paint and would cost $1000 to paint the full hood. I said no thanks, went a few blocks up north and got the job done for $50 bucks. It wasnt chipped paint! He just wanted to rip me off.
