I see all these good reviews but I just moved to Jackson michigan two months ago and they have only been over to pick up our trash 4 times. They’ve accumulated a month of missed trash pickups since we’ve been with them. I wouldn’t recommend this trash removal service to anyone and I’m currently looking for another service. I have my trash can still out right now as we speak and it is full of trash, this company even lied one week and said they were coming and never showed up. I honestly wish there was a way I could get my money back for all of the times they did not even come to pick up our trash. It’s not fair to pay for this service and we aren’t even getting our. Trash picked up. Terrible terrible business, and terrible customer service.

LOVE the guys that pick up my trash. The few times that I had forgot to move my can they go out of their way to grab my can for me (not far from where it should be). Due to this I will continue to use this company for my garbage removal, to me it is definitely the little things that count! Also every interaction I’ve had with one of the garbagemen they are always respectful and great! ❤️

We have used Emmons Trash for approximately 6 years. They are always professional and polite whenever we need to speak with someone. The online payment option is awesome. We needed a large dumpster for a renovation a few months back, the driver was punctual, professional, and very polite on delivery and pickup. He made sure to stay on the drive so as not to damage our landscaping. Recently our neighbors replaced their trash bin and the gentleman noticed a large crack in ours so he replaced ours out of courtesy. I am so impressed by this simple act of kindness.

I dont know if Im demanding too much but Ive been having to bring my trash container from the roadside to my garage every single pickup day for the last 2 or 3 months. I dont think its my job since Im paying your services. They used to bring it to my garage from the beginning..not anymore.

They missed are garbage but I called them and they came back to pick it up other than that they have always been on time.

Left cardboard today because it was too windy to carry our normal amount of cardboard from our monthly dog food order plus a few extra boxes since most stores are currently shut down. Called to ask why it was left and they said it had to be bundled but we have never previously bundled our cardboard and have had their services for a few years. There is also no mention of bundling anywhere on their website, only flattened and stacked, which our cardboard always is.

Usually good. Have left a bag or two in the bottom of the bin a few times. Once i got my bin out just as they pulled up and they drove right past me got the neighbors then drove back by my house again to leave without picking up the bin. (I live on a dead end) otherwise pretty reliable.

I wouldnt even consider using any other service than Emmons. Have used then for nearly 40 years.

Ive had Emmons Service for over 30 years and they have always been reliable. In all that time they only missed picking up one time and when called they sent a truck out to get the garbage. Great service!

I have used Emmons for garbage services for 4+ years. Every contact I have had with the staff there has been a positive one. They are friendly and helpful. Their prices are also very comparable to others in my area.

Weve had Emmons for 4 years, Very easy to start up service, and convenient. Only problem was our trash was forgotten recently even though our neighbors was picked up. When I called I was told it would have to wait until the following week because the driver was done and was not sure when hed be back out our way again. A little inconvenient because of no where else to put our garbage and the bin was full. We have a barn out in the country and dont want to deal with critters making a mess. Otherwise, no major problems.

Weve been using Emmons for about 7 months now and we always bring our trash to the curb. Well, the last week has been a bit hectic and though we had 2 trashbags in our garbage outside, we forgot to bring it to the curb. This afternoon we went out to find that the garbage men walked all the way down our driveway to the back of our house to get our garbage. I dont know if thats always been part of the deal or if they went out of their way but I am so so thankful for such above and beyond service, it made today a little less stressful.

Shortly after my parents moved from nextdoor, Emmons cancelled my service by mistake, looking at the last name and wrong address. I was told countless times over the phone that I was the one mistaken, and that there was no service at my address. After having my father call the mix up was finally cleared, however they delivered the wrong, smaller bin back to me. After another round of calls to Emmons, they finally got that fixed and returned my bin a day or so later.Today I notced my trash was not collected so I got online and found my sevice was past due... I had requested auto payment after the last billing cycle. Being partially at fault I made a payment immediately and called to try to fix the problem. After explaining I had just made payment to bring it current I was placed on a brief hold and then told there was no one in the area that could help... there was nothing that could be done untill the following Tuesday. After a few rounds of this I told her another week was unacceptable to me and that Id like my $80 payment back and to end my service. The woman on the phone replied snarkily it would be 30 days to return the payment I had made, in a very, Gotcha type fashion.Apart from my time in the military I have lived in Jackson my whole life, the Emmons name use to mean something locally, but Ive had nothing but problems the last couple years.A day or two of inconvenience finding an alternative, more organized service, and a 30-day wait for payment return will be a small price to pay to be done with the head aches, their terrible lack of customer service, and professionalism over the phone.I would encourage anyone to do a little research on other services before just settling for Emmons.

Dropping off my garbage can they broke a concrete driveway marker. Instead of just saying sorry (which is all I wanted) they who said it wasnt their fault and the driver is very honest so he would report that kind of thing. Most recently I had 3 extra bags of basically cardboard and 2 moving boxes set outside along with my can. I understand why they didnt take this because its an extra charge. But when I opened my trash can after they were there, there was still two grocery size plastic bags at the bottom of the can they didnt take. They are also kind of pricey compared to waste removal services I have had in the past. Maybe you have to pay extra for lack of accountability and laziness? I just moved to the area and my neighbor recommended them. Does anybody know another trash service in the Liberty Township area?

Emmons has repeatedly messed up our service, and at least twice we have called for dumpsters only to be told they are not available or wait a very long time. They also ask you to pay up front, without a confirmed delivery date. There customer service people are rude and very non workable. 1/2 star

I had to cancel with Emmons after 3 years since I was missed 2 weeks in a row. After canceling and calling 3 times I still have a pile of trash after 8 days. I am calling them today for a pick up. If not picked up I will have no choice but to call the township and the BBB.

Not very good service. They have gone down hill in the last couple years and prices are high.

I just started service with emmons. I cancelled and requested a full refund. I requested trash pickup 2 days in a row from the trash that was accumulated before I got service. and 2 days the trash has sat outside. Not a reliable service at all!!!
