Went here a while ago and got acrylics which have turned out amazing! the entire staff was amazing at what they do and very sweet as well! very clean, great quality, and not to mention the prices are really really good! Definitely recommend coming here to get your nails done!

This is my go-to nail salon - such a cute place with the sweetest and caring staff! They never fail to make my nails look amazing. Tina is definitely my go to for getting my eyebrows done for the last 3 years. Great prices with a professional and relaxing atmosphere. They are a smaller salon ... so have patience even when calling for ahead because it is really worth the extra wait. I highly recommend going here ☺️

I just came to area to camp for the holidays and wanted my nails done. Had one broken nail so wanted to try the dip process again, have had it done in several different salons in my home area but was always disappointed. Let me tell you my nails turned out perfect and so beautiful. Am so very pleased wish I didnt live so far away from this salon. Am assuming I dealt with the women owner, she was so nice and any little question she handled. Great salon!

Took an hour 45 minutes and my nails are a little wonky. The acrylic was put on top of my cuticle and skin on a lot of my nails. Not the cleanest look :( Very slow work with sub-par quality.

They did a good job on my toes and a decent job on my manicure. However, the lady was very pushy about trying to upsale. I went in only for a pedicure until she looked at my hand and said I needed to do a manicure, which I allowed because I was just gonna clip them anyway. The whole time she was doing my nails she kept asking if I wanted to do any special designs or acrylic with which I kept telling her no. After she finished my fingernails and toes, she started asking me about touching up on eyebrows saying I needed it, which is a little rude. I told her finally no I’m okay and paid and left. Just to come to find out that they didn’t even charge my card until 2 WEEKS after I had made the visit! I definitely won’t be going back to this salon again.

My girlfriend has been going to model nails for a few years now and always has me tag along with her. Every single person in the place is so welcoming and friendly. Tina is so kind and most importantly.. The work they do is always amazing. The girlfriend is always happy with everything she gets done. From her nails to her feet to her eyebrows. I highly recommend model nails. Anyday!!!

I called this place to get a quote on how much it would cost my boyfriend to come get a mani/pedi with me. They told me $20 total over the phone but charged double that after we were all done. I believe there was a misunderstanding over the phone, but the lady who worked there raised her voice at me after I asked about it calmly. She laughed and said the price I was saying she told me was JUST if he wanted to get his nails clipped (????). Its fine that she misquoted me- I can overlook that, but the fact that she raised her voice in front of other customers was pretty upsetting.The service was good, but it took 2+ hours for a standard mani pedi. Suuuuper slow service, but I prefer that over a job poorly done.

I absolutely loved it here. The hardest part about going is that the technicians always make me feel bad about how short my nails are. Here I felt super welcomed in and taken care of. I love how my nails came out.I can honestly say that I cant wait to go back.

Ive only been here a few times. Which I had a fine experience all previous times before. Today I got Sam and my nails look great! He was super friendly. He took the time to ask better detailed questions about shape, thickness, etc. Usually Im a walk in client and am usually too busy to care who I get, but I think I will start scheduling appointments with Sam from now on! Will definately be going back soon to have him do my nails again.

I had a most wonderful pedicure today. I always like going to Model Nails, but I had Sam (Uncle Sam, Sam I Am👍🏻) for the first time and he is my guy from now on. Friendly and attentive. Nice to talk to. Very gentle, thorough and great nail shaping too. Gave me everything I wanted.

I usually don’t share reviews unless my experiences were really good, or really bad. Unfortunately this was wasn’t too great. I’ve been here a handful of times before and this was by far my worst experience. I paid $67.00 for a full set acrylic and pedicure, the price isn’t what upsets me but it was the quality of work I got done for the price. Let me start by saying neither service was relaxing and felt more like a chore for her to do for me. While trimming my cuticles (I think) I bled on multiple fingers. All of what she did was painful which I’ve never experienced at the salon I usually go to. My nails after 3 days are still inflamed and in pain and now, turning yellow at my cuticle which I’m assuming is now infected. She was very careless, rough and not welcoming. I looked forward to this visit as a treat for myself after working so many hours and being on my feet, none of which was relaxing and now I’m just in more pain. I’m very sad about the service I received to say the least and will not be returning. I have photos but can’t figure out how to post them on this review. Just horrible!!

I have tried many nail salons in New Braunfels. I love Model Nails mostly because the quality you receive is provided with a super competitive cost. 25.00 and my feet feel great after my pedicure. They will scrub and scrub to get them smooth. They do not cut corners. The massages are fantastic too. You can also add a scrub for 5.00 without being forced to upgrade to a higher pedicure. I love it!

I love my nails every time I come in here. However today I didnt have such a great experience. I came here religiously every two weeks I needed a fill or a new set. When I first started, I noticed that the prices were fair and extremely affordable. However when i started to come more often I noticed that the fills became higher in price . A new set I understand its more money... today i came in and i asked a specific nail price and was told 35$ plus 5$ to take the old nails off so 40$ was the total. Then when i sat down they wanted to charge me a total of 45$. I felt like there was some miscommunication all together. I never even remember them charging me to take the old nails off any way. I would see other people come in and be charged much less than me a lot as well. Im not sure whats going on with the pricing. They do a wonderdul job however I dont enjoy being taken for granted as a regular customer. Unfortunately, Im going somewhere else where the prices will be the same every time.

Came in for a pedicure in July with my daughter. They were able to take us right away and did a wonderful job! In fact, we left on a vacation a few days later and spent two weeks walking around Spain. One month later my nails are still looking perfect. Would definitely recommend coming here!

This shop has been here for sometime so the furnishings are a little dated but its really clean. Tina, the owner, is older but very good and experienced. She is also gentle and friendly.I had a pedicure and the price was less than other shops.I would recommend it to anyone is looking for a clean, friendly, experienced shop.

Excellent, friendly, detail-oriented service. The salon is spacious and clean, with alcoves that create separate quieter areas. The TV and stereo are both kept at very civilized volumes. The staff are welcoming and courteous. This is the only place Ill go for nail services from here on out!

Tina did my nails with a pink and white ombré and they turned out amazing. Everything I could have wanted and more. The place is very clean and the staff is extremely friendly. Definitely made a dedicated customer out of me.

I came it with a group of almost 10 on a weekday when there was no one else there and they treated all of us like they just wanted us out as fast as possible. The nail job was done poorly and barely lasted a few days before it began chipping off. When one of my friends was paying the woman in charged asked for my friend to tell her the pin number for her card. Not enter it into the machine, tell it to her. Ive never felt so disgusted by a service of this sort.

On vacation and needed my nails done. No appointment. Worked me in. Professional. Very good job. My nail tech took his time and I never felt rushed. I got the dipped nails and I wish I could take this place home with me. Sadly, we probably wont be back to the New Braunfels area but I would definitely recommend this place again and again.

My nails still look good almost 2 weeks later! The staff are all highly trained and know what they are doing. Make sure to call and schedule an appointment before you get here.

Wow, this place defines the name spa pedicure . I am new to this area and decided to try out Model Nails and treat myself to a manicure and pedicure. The spa pedicure was great! All the ladies were very nice and welcoming. They made my experience wonderful and i would recommend it to anybody.

Awful!! An old man did my pedicure and missed spots, which I was fine with but do NOT let him do your acrylics!!! His hands were sticky, he didnt correctly fit or apply the tips to the nail, he used his machine on way too high of a setting that caused heat and hurt my nail, and he used way too much monomer and laid the thinnest sheet of acrylic imaginable. Nail structure out the window. I then had two people filing my hands at once which I would’ve been fine with if either of them did a half decent job. The nail is very fragile and will likely break within a couple days, the shape is not what I asked for (I asked for almond), they said the polish was dry so I put my shoes on and just that messed it up in three places, and worst of all they CUT my finger while they were filing!!! We weren’t even that far along when they cut it and they kept going, didn’t offer to fix it or anything! They were acting like they didn’t notice until I brought it up to them as we were leaving. And even after clearly expressing my frustration with the job, they still made us pay for it. I will never be returning and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Which is not my only complaint; the lady was really nice, but she didnt do such a great job on polishing my nails. I asked her to fix it and she didnt quite fix it all the way.. Went here for nails last minute to do my nails my regular nail place was not being available. Every one was nice you know the fake nice . I was first annoyed by the insistence of using the color she chose for me cause it’s more “beautiful “ not the color I said I wanted. She used already used old tools on me after I asked are they clean. The bag was clearly a regular reused bag . She was like Yes!! On top the gel polish is already chipped after a week on solar nails wich I never have experienced. That’s nail polish fault right . It also took 1:30 for a refill. It was cheap though 35$ this was my experience

I have been going to this nail salon for over ten years now! Within that time Ive gotten colorful nails, nude nails, styled eyebrows, waxes and always been impressed. Even having moved to a separate state now, I always choose to come with my family here every time I visit. They do not dissapoint! Worth the wait if theyre busy! This place was absolutely horrible.for one, they told me $35 then charged me $50 at the end.THEN she was ready to close so she rushed, didnt speak to me. made 4 fingers bleed, was rough & didnt even do a good job. not nearly what was expected. the white is streaky with bubbles & one nail isnt even painted on the side.THEN our change was a good amount & she had the audacity to ask for a $15 tip for doing a HORRIBLE job. 10/10 do not reccommend. id rather drive 30 minutes & pay $75 for a NICE set. not 2 minutes for $50 & absolutely horrid.

HORRIBLE STAFF HORRIBLE SERVICE-they literally made my friend bleed with how rough and fast they were going, then continued to try and force us to give them a five star review- the manager GRABBED and took my phone!!! A younger manicurist commented on how i wasn’t wearing a bra- which made me look like a “little girl” to her- which she felt the need to tell me while cutting my toes up and screaming every five seconds to not mess up my nails- because she said “it would be such a waste of time for me” for her to fix, they also took 3.5 hours for two people getting a mani pedi, and get this, WE WERE THE ONLY ONES THERE!!!! at the end, she wanted to charge me $5 more than my friend for the exact same thing, and it’s cause my nails were “longer”- which they weren’t, the staff proceeded to argue saying “they’ll charge you $70 at luxx” and blah blah blah. After paying, the manger then hovered over us to see how much we would tip, THEN SCREAMED THE TIP AMOUNT TO THE STAFF!!! guys, GO TO LUXX!!!

Was a bit disappointed with the service after reading all the good reviews. We had reserved a time for a small group, yet we werent helped till 30 minutes after our reservation. I got a pedicure and was disappointed by how they had me sit there for 30 extra minutes till I was helped. The water was room temperature and soon got cold. So I sat there soaking my feet in cold water. The lady did an ok job on the pedicure, but the actual gel polish was clumpy and did not last longer than a week and a half. I spent $45 on a pedicure that I was not pleased with. Will not go again.

Stopped on for a pedicure while I was on vacation. The man was very rough with my feet, painfully rough, I thought I was going to cry. When I got to the hotel I noticed a little blood on my heel, that night my heels hurt so badly that I had to sleep with a pillow under my ankles because just touching the sheets was painful. It is a week later, I have been wearing bandaids on my heels because the skin is so thin it is painful to the touch. I cant wear anything other than flip flops & I walk with a limp due to painful pressure on my heels. Dont go here, not sure if he just didnt like me or if he was just this terrible with everyone...I even gave him a $5 tip because that is just how I am. Now I am regretting not letting out the screams I was keeping in as he was scraping every layer of skin off my heels.

If I could find a 0 Star I would. Worst nail salon Ive ever been to. First they took 4 hours to do my nails and pedi. Secondly they were trying to give me things I didnt ask for to charge me extra. Third they did a horrible job. Then when i called them out about it the lady told me she would refund me $5. Seriously??? My nails are horrible! Then tried pulling me to sit down to fix them. No! Also I asked for a black acrylic and they did clear acrylic and painted my nails black. Id never recommend them to anyone in a million years!!!

Dee dee, is amazing (I hope I spelled that right). I went to Model Nails for the first time and had a pedicure and got my nails dipped. The pedicure was fantastic. I had never had my nails dipped before, and Dee dee was patient and talked me through it and did a wonderful job. I will definitely be back.

I have been here only once. That lady Tina is crazy. she was obviously having a bad day. Screaming and yelling at the nail techs and throwing things. Will NEVER darken her doorstep ever again. I am told she also owns the salon by the old HEB.

Worst Nail Experience Ever. My nails look horrible and the lady I had yelled at me when I told her I didn’t like my nails. She told me and I quote “look from far away the look great.”

The ppl are nice, but the product, quality and technique is horrible. 1 they used a metal bit on my natural nail, NEVER should a metal bit be used on the natural nail. 2 the technique well lets just say there was none. (Seems like nobody in new braunfels area knows how to do pink and white acrylics.) 3 the powder had dirt and dried up chunks of old product. Which shows up on the nail when applied. 4 they were dirty, the drill bit that they used were dirty and clogged with other ppls skin cells and dried up blood. Very unsanitary. 5 took them 2 1/2 hrs to do a full set that looked like crap and hurt like heck because they didnt know what they were doing. All so I could go to the nearest store to find nail polish and a file to shape and cover this hot mess. Waste of money and time. Not happy at all.

Upon walking in, the place smelled like a sewer. There were plenty of seats and about 5 customers but only 2 staff members. We informed a staff member we were in a hurry and asked the wait time and she said no wait time. We waited for 20 minutes and still had not even gotten started with our services.

We complained at time of service and they did nothing about it!! Then when I called backed about the overcharge they want me to come into the shop to get my money back and I do not live in the area. A family member has been going there for years but will never return!!
