I came here twice….I was really rooting for this place, I promise.I gave it another shot. The first time, during my pedicure, he PULLED my cuticles and made me bleed on 4 of my toes. I kept it together during the appointment because I didn’t want to be rude and he was very nice. But it was extremely painful, after he kept putting the green alcohol on my toes over and over to stop the bleeding.Then today I went to get a refill and pedicure. $88 dollars. That’s ridiculous…. I got the basic pedicure. And they added $15 to it which I have no idea what she added for the charge when I asked for basic $22 mini pedi. And added design… for a simple French tip?Then, for my refill, she was very sweet… but when she was using the handheld device to flatten my nail, she dug so far down on my cuticle bed that 2 of my fingers bled… I attached a photo of my fingers and you can see how very red the nail bed is from her using the machine. It hurt SO bad while she was doing it….. as you can tell from how red my fingers are.They do give 2 complimentary drinks, but after seeing the prices, I believe they overcharge so it covers all expenses.My problem is not the price. My problem is that I went twice, and the quality is not up to par (for pedicures) and I’ve been hurt twice…. This has never happened to me before. I see reviews on Amy, so I may request her. I’m just very disappointed.

The shop is dark, dingy, and looks dirty. It is Labor Day weekend, Saturday morning. You can clearly see that the price I paid today did not guarantee the quality I received. These are pictures from my spa pedicure with shellac and a basic manicure ($22), this morning around 10:30 am at the New Braunfels location of Luxx. This is my second visit, the first one was shortly after the store’s grand opening. My services with a $10 tip were $109.00. The tech cut my ring finer trying to trim my nail. His hands were shaking. I was with my daughter. My tech kept, (very nice by BBC the way), looking over at my daughter’s tech as if he was “watching and learning” from the other tech. Timers ran the services granted. The techs were pleasant but clearly need training. The chair arms were disgusting and dirty. Since it was early in the day, and the place was very unoccupied, this must have been left over from the day before. Then they put an herbal neck sock on you for calming, —- hello, COVID??? My manicure consisted of a plastic glove preloaded with lotion, soak for 15 minutes, then wipe off, trim and a bad cuticle push and barely a trim. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Never again. Now I’ll have to pay someone else to fix what should’ve been done correctly the first time. In case you’re wondering, I tipped my tech because he clearly was trying but did not have the experience to be on his own yet. Normally I am sadly, very disappointed.

Photo my nails grown out about ten days, but they still look dang good! I love this place. Im always, always, always nervous about new nail places and usually follow my techs if they switch salons, but during Covid I lost contact with my usual girl. I was devastated about it until I found my go-to gal here at Luxx!!! Bee does such a quality job and Im always so impressed by her attention to detail. Nails are expensive and I will not walk out without them being on fleek. Call it entitlement or whatever but we pay a lot of money for something well see every day. I want to love my nails. Now I do!!! Great place and staff. Super sweet and Abby is fantastic as well. I would post a photo of my pedicure but nobody should have to look at feet unsolicited.

Awesome experience the first time there. The gentleman giving me my pedicure almost out me to sleep ha ha. And may I say I like the different drinks they offer. First place I have gone that my nails werent sore as all get out the next day . Ill be visiting again soon.

Pros: Very friendly and professional at the front desk, seemed glad to help. Very easy process checking in for a first time goer.Cons: I paid for Shellac, and it has been just now a week since that time and two nails have already popped off. Considering the $55 pricing, this is very disappointing. Also, it does not take a practiced eye to see that certain parts of the salon were very dirty, and had not been cleaned in some time.

UPDATE: I was rooting for this place but they let me down! I hate writing bad reviews but I can’t lie about the nail service. My nails started lifting before 2 weeks, which was surprising to me because I can go 3 to 4 weeks when I get my nails done. Anywho.. I went back in, to have them filled (paid more $$$) and now it’s less than a week and they’re lifting again. I was able to get in again to fix the ones that were lifting, which I left a tip, so more $$$. Now today, it’s been less than two weeks again, and 2 nails fell off and the rest are lifting. I give up. I will try somewhere else.Ive been looking for a nail salon since I moved here in January. I kept going back and fourth with a few places around NB. I was skeptical about this location because some of the reviews but I’m happy I gave it a try. Before you walk in Sign In on their website. I learned this the hard way. But thankfully I was able to get in a few minutes later. The salon was beautiful and the staff was very friendly. I was seated with Amy. She was very polite and listened to what I wanted. I showed her a picture of what I had in mind and she did even better. I’m definitely happy with the service and will return.

Loved my entire experience! Got a full set and pedi and my technicians paid attention to every detail. Will return and definitely recommend. Drinks are a plus 😉

First google review and worth it- Extremely disappointed in the service I received today is an understatement. I’ve been to Luxx several times and have never been more grossed out by how unsanitary everything was (although masks are required?), looked like the place hadn’t been even swept or wiped down in a year and they rushed through my $100 service, one girl sitting next to me was crying because no one ever helped her after 30 min of waiting in the chair. NEVER spending another dime at that place and you’d be smart to not do the same.

Bobby is so friendly and welcoming!! Super relaxing experience on a rainy Sunday. Drinks were great and beautiful work done by the techs. Will definitely be back again.

I’ve been coming to Luxx for about 2 years now and have always loved them! Nathan and Amy have always done a fantastic job with my manicures. After a recent couple out of the ordinary less than ideal visits, the Luxx team reached out and wanted to make it right. They’re a company that cares about quality and clients and it’s shows! My wife loved it. Quality work and service. They dont appear to appreciate men getting pedicures though. They started me 15 minutes after my wife and finished me 10 minutes before. Skipped multiple steps. Hot stones for example. My wife will definitely be back, ill stick to the shopping mall places.

Got a pedicure today; service was good but she cut my big toenails too short and they bled later when I was walking around.

I typically go to Bee who is amazing. She is very mindful of big-time and does great work. However, I took a friend in today and our experience was awful. I don’t mind the wait but, they should tell you they’re ready for you and take an additional 30 minutes after you’ve been seated.It was my friends first time and I was embarrassed for her to pay for the service. I was truly shocked by how bad her nails looked.

Very nice place. All the nail techs are very experienced and personable! The manager Bobby went above and beyond to make it a memorable experience for both my wife and my daughter! I highly recommend this place if you haven’t tried it yet.

The place is very clean and quiet. However we went for a mani/pedi. They did the mani while waiting for the hot towels to cool for the pedi. He gave me the file for my nails! Polish job is sloppy. They actually rushed us through so they could get the next three customers. Not really wanting to go back.

My girlfriend doesnt write reviews but I do. I have to say this is a great place to get your nails done and the staff is very friendly including Bobby! Also 1 complimentary free alcoholic drink which is relaxing. (For me at least) They have a salon, you can get your eyebrows, foot massage and other waxing stuff. We had a little mix up with that, but despite that the manager handled everything flawlessly and took care of us! I definitely recommend this place to anyone!P.S. these arent my nails 😂 just my girls

First time visiting this salon. Glad we decided to pay them a visit, all the techs we dealt with were very helpful. We had several services done. Mani, fills, pedicures and wax. Haley, Daisy, and Mr. Bobby in the front was a delight to work with, very accommodating and welcoming for first time guest. A bit on the expensive side, they provide a 25%off for new customers but don’t be fooled they nickel and dime you and charge every little thing separately which normally is included in other salons, therefore there is no true discount. But; the salon is beautiful and they offer delicious bar drinks. Would recommend and maybe visit them again. Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Had my feet my nails and my eyebrows and disappointed.One the lady had the water too hot and it started to over flow on the floor.My toes had too much clear nail polish you can see where it dried and I had her do them again. A whole hour and a half just on my feet and after my hands were done I waited another 5 mins in the room for my eyebrows. Mind you slow and then she did my eyebrows for 20 mins and they’re not even matching ! Look I don’t know what happen to this place it used to be good. Got my $10 back but I can’t get my eyebrows fixed .

I went to luxx for the first time today and I got the milk and honey pedicure. And I will never go to any other nail salon in New Braunfels again! By far the best pedicure Ive ever gotten. Regrettably I didnt get the name of the nail tech who did mine, but she did such a good job, a lot of attention to detail and didnt seem rushed like so many nail techs do. They offer complimentary drinks while you get your service and they are actually really tasty too! My toes look beautiful and Im so relaxed after my experience. I went with 2 other ladies and they both had the same experience so it seems like they have an all around good staff.

IN-FREAKIN-CREDIBLE!!!! Bobby the host noticed it was my 1st time, Renishas 3nd and proceeded to blow me away with superb intro to services and my wants. Rachel was my nail technician and was amazing and skilled.. such a soft professional touch. Explained the new nail dip method...so I went with that... love it. Nick, my daughter in-laws technician was phenomenal as well... Free had jewel design and other last minute asks were welcomed... Beyond amazing service and skill. I definitely have found my new nail home... OH did I mention the beverages both non-alcoholic and alcoholic full good beverages. I had the Mango Sangria and Nisha had the Goblin After Sunset. Im really hoping to upload these pics so yall can see. BTW Im SUPER PICKY when it comes to customer service. And if I could give then 10 stars I would...in a heartbeat.

I love Luxx! The environment is professional and clean ALL the time. After yourefinished, Vince comes, behind with a steam cleaner to disinfect the area. The bar area is spotless and the drinks are delicious! They take the time to learn your name and remember you when you return. The staff is always helpful and patient in finding what the best service is for you. Luxx is the most clean, affordable, and enjoyable nail bar Ive found 💙💚

Received the combo manicure/pedicure. The polish did not last one day. Also requested leg waxing. Many areas were missed and the management was very rude and refused to refund. A waste of money don’t go to this shop.

I checked in online after calling and being told it was over an hour wait for walk ins. It was actually really convenient to continue shopping and be able to track where I was in line for the next available appointment. The customer service was the best part. After arriving they addressed by name, and updated me consistently on how much longer it would be. The pedicure I received was fantastic. Ivan even gave me a blanket when he realized I was cold (I am always cold). I have been to several nail salons in NB. This is now the only place I will go. Thank you!

My sister and I went to go get our nails done here and they turned out looking amazing. The price was a little high but is understood bc of the designs we got. I would rate this salon a 5 but the man working at the front desk was very rude and made up rules as we were there. While my sister was getting her nails done, I asked the nice man doing them if we could bring drinks in and he politely said yes, but as me and my friend brought drinks from a coffee shop next door, the man at the front desk came outside as we were right by and told us we can’t bring it in. He obviously has a problem with underage girls, we were quite and polite while there but he was rude and hostile which my mom was not happy about especially because the bill was 150$. The lady doing my nails did amazing but due to the front desk man I will not come back again.

They definitely are busy, so I would recommending making an appointment first, but if thats not an option they always work people in as fast as possible. My friend and I had pedicures done 5/16/19. We were walk-ins and checked in via tablet. Within 2 minutes we were greeted/seated in the pedicure area.The chairs were the most comfortable chairs I’ve been in. After being sat down we were greeted by our nail technicians Alan and Helen. They provided us with the menu of pedicures and it also included the list of complimentary drinks. Alan and Helen were AMAZING! They were friendly,professional and efficient. The staff beats my expectations every time and they always remember who you are and what you like! I have been here a few times and every time I feel like I am given a 5-star experience. The receptionist is always kind and quick to book an appointment, the nail artists are very professional and do incredible work. I usually get the dipped nail, and it lasts me a few weeks (without any chipping!) before I take it off because its grown out. This past manicure has been my favorite so far and was perfect for graduation! Id recommend calling in advance to book an appointment.

I spent almost $200 on nails and a pedicure room the same damn the design on my pedicure came off my nails were two different shapes I kept on telling the nail tech and she kept on finding them very thin and ended up looking horrible.

I’ve been coming here for about a year for dip and I really look forward to it every 3 weeks. They pay attention to detail which I really appreciate because I am super picky. My nails always look great and if I ever have a problem they fix it right away. I recently smashed my finger with a dumbbell at the gym and broke my nail and they fixed it for free even though it was my fault and I fully expected to pay to fix it. It was very nice and I appreciate that they do these little things for the customers.

Was recommended to Luxx Nail Bar by a coworker. When I walked in the shop i was welcomed with a warm greeting by Bobby and another gentleman. I didnt even have to wait five minutes for Tracy to take me in. She worked her magic and gave me the most beautiful nail work ever. The pedicure was so relaxing and amazing that I felt completely at ease with everyone on my first visit. Everyone was so professional and friendly. The quality of work is exceptional and their work lasts. I am now a devoted customer and recommend this salon to everyone. You cant beat it. The quality of service is worth every penny.

My friend and I went in for an eyebrow wax and we’re sat immediately. Looked promising. Tech came in with an attitude, did my friends eyebrows then left. I waited. They asked my friend to get up from her seat to sit another client and sat another client. They begin servicing both of those women before me even tho I had been waiting. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND DISSATISFIED. ended up leaving. Wouldn’t recommend this place for waxing services

Dirty. First chair they tried to seat us at was all ripped. It’s like a cattle barn. Just trying to get as many people in/out as they can.

By far the absolute best nail salon ever!!! Felt so comfortable and it was a great time. They are all perfectionist at their jobs and have awesome customer service. They have a great sense of humor, super sweet, and friendly. Definitely recommend coming here. Also definitely will be returning and will become a regular customer!

I have only gone to this Nail salon to get my eyebrows done. Although the waxing has always been excellent, the service in this establishment has been horrible to say the least. Lucky for them they are always busy and when I decided to finally have a pedicure and facial done, I booked an appointment beforehand (always busy). I get to my apt and I’m welcomed with a sign saying they are all booked up (lucky me I have an appointment). I go ahead and tell them I have two different appointments, one for my eyebrows and the other for a pedicure. I was informed that I have to wait an hour since they are all booked up. I told them I have an appointment for 11:00. The one guy said he didn’t have me on the list. I showed him the confirmation text I got and then he went back and said oh, there’s your appointment. He then repeated that I will have to wait an hour. It is very unprofessional for a nail salon to have appointment setups and not adhere to it. It is customer service again to not believe a customer the first time they say something. I would think that the customer is always right (not really) and you would do the best you can to accommodate. The two guys just standing at the front counter could have rolled up their sleeve to help as well.

Unprofessional masseuse. Great massage don’t get me wrong, but tread carefully. Massages are supposed to be relaxing. I don’t want to hear a persons opinions. I’m trying to relax. Not only that, but her unprofessionalism is unprecedented. Calling me to threaten me about a charge I reported fraudulent because I had been hacked financially. Once I noticed my mistake after she called me about it, I happily rescinded my error. You would think it would be over? WRONG! Masseuse personally called and text me to tell me she was going to the cops! If that’s not a threat I don’t know what is?! I called the location to report her inappropriate behavior and she still continues to personally message. Not appreciated or warranted. I feel personally violated. Great place, but be careful.

I am here from out of town and went to get my nails done with my girlfriend, I was nervous because I am very picky with my nails. I got acrylic ombré nails by Jay who did AMAZING!!! They came out picture perfect and he was very patient with me - i changed colors multiple times! If I lived here this would definitely be the place I would go and get my nails done by Jay!

I had an awesome time here. Pricey but they did a great job. Dipped nails and a pedicure with nail color removal (my toes were polished so they charged to remove that) $77.

First time and was very satisfied. Wont give a 5 stars because there are two guys at the reception, Bobby very nice but the other one is rude. Needs to work on his attitude or get a different job. I asked about a gift certificate I was given for Xmas. He didnt even look at it and told me I needed to use it in San Antonio saloon not at NB. When it was bought, my sister was told it can be used at either one. Such a nice place needs a better person to be at the reception. Maybe he should learn from Bobby.

GROSS!!! I have done hair for 17 years never have l seen someone reuse the same waxing stick and dip it in the pot over and over got up and left (after paying)Had it not been for needing glasses l would have left immediately!! Totally Unacceptable!!!!

Management has definitely changed. My nail tech, Bee, is fabulous but NOT the salon. My last visit I had an appointment and STILL waited 35 minutes. Then, the nail tech cut 5 of my nail beds as he was filling them, making them bleed and they are still sore. I’m cleaning them constantly so they do not get infected. The visit before last, they mixed up my appointment. I, nor my family, will be coming back here which is sad because I’ve been a loyal customer since they opened.

Honestly, if you can get past the rude guy at the front desk, this place is awesome! Most of the staff is so nice and accommodating. Jennie did my pedicure and manicure perfectly! She’s so sweet and funny. She made me feel completely comfortable. If it’s your first time here, request her!!

Didnt care to return after my first visit. My nail tech kept making fun of everything I was saying. My $50 set of powder dip started chipping on more than one nail. I called within their time frame (5 days) to replace it but I could only see them that day or I would have to repay for the service. I couldnt make it that day, so they wont be receiving my business any more.

Lam and Amy are amazing!! They are a couple who did my nails and my friends nails at the same time! They were talkative and funny and made our nail experience a great one! We will definitely be back to ask for them again!

I will not be returning here. 8 times out of 10 my nails break within a week. Hayden and Ivan are so rude along with one of the guys who works the front desk, I wish I knew his name. I just went and got 2 of my nails fixed because they broke within 4 days of getting them done and they look terrible. They are not shaped the same as the others and the color is blotchy. On top of that, the nail tech, Hayden, laughed at me and made me feel stupid when I said something about them not being shaped the same. Im so disappointed. Im not spending anymore money here.

Walked in with hardly any wait time. They were super sweet to my 3 year old who accompanied me for a girls day. My girl, Amy, did an amazing job on my full set, and she also painted my daughters nail for free!! Super sweet! Definitely my new NB nail spot
