Visiting my home town, New Braunfels, and needed a haircut. I stopped by J.D.s and got the best haircut possibly ever!

Brittany did an amazing job on my haircut and beard trim (with razor edging). On the day and time I walked in, I was immediately greeted by Brittany and she was ready to go. She was efficient, in and out on my lunch break. I will be going back. If you havent been to JDs yet, give them a try. Friendly, Effective, Efficient, Affordable.

They always do a great job. Its nice to get service at an actual barber shop where the barbers seem to take pride in their work and arent just rushing you out the door. Sometimes their pricing can be a bit inconsistent though. I got a bald fade and was charged $17 on one visit and $20 on a different visit a few weeks later. Its still worth going to have a peaceful, quiet break in the day while getting a needed haircut. The barbers dont push you to make small talk if you dont seem interested in doing so.

Walked in and was greeted with a smile. I really enjoyed the haircut and neck shave from Johnny (sp?). Definitely a place I will return for another cut.Just make sure you have cash or check. Luckily I had my checkbook and didnt know they dont accept cards.

The worst. Not only was my hair cut so high on one side of my head that I had to go somewhere else to get a high and tight, no fade as requested and the older lady used a cold dull razor with no lather or cream and just started chopping away at my neck. Like it has to stop her. And just left. Didnt want to create a scene but had to go spend $45 more bucks somewhere else to have the only hair cut I could get at that point, a high and tight. Unless you want a an old school buzz cut, stay clear. Its 9pm and my neck is still bleeding and all bumped up bad.I dont know how to leave a picture here but its going on Yelp.

They are always extremely nice in there and they r reasonably priced.

J. Ds is a great place for a guy to get a haircut---with one exception. Unless you want your hair cut close to your scalp, DONT get into Abreyschair (second chair).I showed her a pic of what I wanted and got scalped anyway. She acts immature. The good news is that anyone else in the shop is super. Love the country music and Texas Style decor. Give them a try. You will love the experience.

This place is so bad the person who cut my hair was so rude and didn’t even blend my fade in. i had to go to another place to get it fixed it was so bad. i don’t recommend this place. Worst barber in New Braunfels

The best barbershop in town I recommend Aubrey to everybody and all my friends and family we go there at least every two weeks great service very clean very friendly wouldn’t go anywhere else Great customer service!!

The girl that cut my hair is very nice and good at what she does

Not impressed. My husband has been using JD’s for at least a year and my father for many years. While normally the service is pretty decent for them, today I brought my son in 15 minutes before closing. My son and I are not familiar faces here, let’s make that clear. The attitude in the shop was evident they were ready for their day to be over. My son and I were not greeted when we walked in and when we requested a certain barber do his hair we were told who would be doing his hair (not the one we requested). I will not be bringing my son back for another hair cut. JD’s you just lost business.

Dont fall for it, the high review is misleading! Should have known better when I asked for a pompadour fade and was told that he didnt use that word and would just take a little off the top. I showed him a picture before we started and he said no problem. Well, there was a big problem. There is no fade whatsoever, its a 10 year old kids haircut with a short buzz all the way to the crown and some gaps in the rest of the long stuff. Absolutley horrible. Looking back I should have paid what I wanted since he gave me the haircut he wanted. The girls at the front were nice and offered to try to fix it which was the only redeeming quality of this location. Did not accept the offer so cant speak to their ability but I appreciated the offer.

This is an awesome place to get an old fashion haircut by the best people in town. Love it and a definite recommend.
