Honestly, this place is fantastic. They’re clean, professional and the workers here are super personable! Anelisa did a phenomenal job with her straight razor skills & to top it off, she made it a learning experience rather than just some haircut. When it comes to price, if it’s done right, it shouldn’t matter what the price is because you walk out of this place feeing fresh AF ✨

Great barbershop and haircuts! Been many times before and will continue coming in. I love the music that is played but since the last time I was in I guess a subwoofer has been installed and turned up really load. Please kill the sub and keep the great music!

Nice place, a little high priced for a hair cut and wash tho. Id usually pay $35-$40 with a tip not $40 just for a cut and wash. I might be a little more upset with the amount that I paid had I not liked my stylist. $50 bucks w/tip for a hair cut is a little high. Maybe its because they have a good sound system or cool vinyl wraps on the wall or maybe its because of location but either way its still too much.

My husband brought me in after leaving the hospital no one else could fit me in all I needed was to get my hair washed after being in the hospital for weeks and several surgeries but this was the only business willing to fit is in, we were soo thankful for their time and help

I love this place! Ive been all over town and even tried a couple of those high dollar salons trying to find the right person to cut my hair. Nicole is awesome! She actually listened to what I wanted, and cut my hair like I asked. Great cut & customer service, hot towel, neck shave, and shoulder message... You can even get a free beer or soda if youd like. This is the place to go in New Braunfels.

My son is 12 and had never had his hair cut besides cutting it to his shoulders this summer. He decided he was ready for a real haircut. I called around looking for someone with experience with mixed texture and POC. After 6 calls, Laura was recommended by the receptionist, so we made the appointment. She was AMAZING. She spoke to my son and tried to understand what he was looking for. She took her time, asked how he felt about any recommendations she made and taught him the best way to style his hair daily. It was definitely a positive experience and his hair is perfect for him. I cannot express how grateful I am to her. We will be back.

Seems like this place has high turn over rate I see new barbers every time I come. The good barbers never seem to stay. It’s like playing roulette, sometimes you get a good haircut and other times you get buzzed. For the price you would think you’re getting a skilled barber but I’ve got better haircuts for way less.I will not be returning after yesterday’s cut. I got buzzed!!! The barber had my back to the mirror the entire time and she did not do the cut I asked/explained I wanted. I have nothing against new/inexperienced barbers please let the customer know you are inexperienced and ask questions if you do not understand the cut. Don’t assume everyone wants a high undercut. I would highly recommend training your barbers or at least checking their skill level before giving them a chair.

Working from my wifes computer.. This was my first time at a barber shop. Im used to a quick scissor cut for 14$. Half of the time I love it, half of the time its alright. Most of the time its quick and swift leaving me wondering if they had taken a little more time would they have done a better job? At Diesel Barbershop I didnt even have to check the mirror to know they were doing a great job. The time and patience Jamie took had me feeling confident that my hair was in good hands! Having come from a small town I had no idea what I was getting into. The haircut, neck shave, smell good spray on the neck, hair washed, head massaged, and a final check in the mirror just to make sure I loved it. Well I did and I will be coming back. $28 bucks for one hair cut that Ill love for the next month or so. People spend that much on food in a day going out to eat. (one complimentary soft drink/beer/water) :)

What an AMAZING place!! My son and I come here, and here ONLY, to get our hair cut. The staff is amazingly nice, the place is clean and the amenities are awesome! They give you something to drink when you walk in the door (water, soda or beer, if youre old enough), have great music, a LOT of TVs to watch and some really cool, old school, arcade style games to play while you wait. Then they take you back and give you an incredible haircut, hot shave straight razor your neckline, wash your hair and give you a hot washrag for your face while they are doing it. Then back in the chair for a quick, relaxing massage and top it off by styling your hair. If youve never been here, try it...you wont be disappointed!!

This place is terrible. Came in on a Tuesday morning and we were told the wait was an hour long even though the place was empty and they take walk ins. We waited for 1hr 45mins while 3 other customers who arrived after us were helped. I understand they take appointments but they need to be more accurate with their wait estimations. Maybe they should have more than 3 stylists working. We walked out and will never go back.

This is such a cool place. Super friendly, great service. Don’t expect to come in on Saturday and immediately be seated in a chair. A quality cut is worth waiting for. And the receptionist is so sweet.

So we have been there twice, both for my son (2 years old) and husband! Yes husband got a little treatment and price came out a little pricey ... understandable with all the extras, but today he went in got just a basic hair cut for them once again (no beer) and it came out to $68!!! What! In what world does a little boys hair cut and a mans hair cut cost that much! I’ve worked in very nice salons and it wouldn’t even cost that there, not doing that again! There’s a difference for paying for good service and over charging.

Excellent service, excellent shave! Although my appointment was lost, the staff immediately took care of it and had us seated in no time. The stylist that took care of me did am excellent job and was very nice and friendly. I would not hesitate to come back. I believe my stylists name was Desiree.

I have been coming here for a few months now, the shop is always SPOTLESS, staff is very friendly and welcoming, always providing well above average haircuts and customer service for a great price! Beer and arcade games are definitely a plus. I would give more stars if I could, Diesel is the place to go if you are any man looking for a great cut and experience!

After my son had his hair completely messed up at great clips, we decided to try this place out. There was no wait, luckily (however, after our visit Id say its worth the wait) and he was called back by Laura, who did a great job fixing his hair. She was very nice as I explained what kind of cut we were looking for. My two youngest were able to play a few video games while we waited. We were offered a beverage while we waited. We are very happy with my sons new look. His hair looks great now, thanks to Laura. I highly recommended this place. We will for sure be returning. *side note: my son said he will never go anywhere else, he felt like a king here!! LolGreat job Laura 👍.

1) JAIME was the BEST! Never had I experienced a barber with such precision! Her hand/eye coordination is impeccable! Please provide this feedback to her so she can continue with superb customer satisfaction!2) **Please use logical reasoning with doorbell during peak periods. It was very annoying to hear it every 5-10 seconds.** Better yet just remove it completely because it mimics GreatClips as they welcome their guests when their doorbell goes off. Be DIESEL, not Greatclips!3) TO the OWNER & GM: With the heat index in the 100s does it make SENSE to offer customers a hot washcloth during their shampoo?Play the role of a customer and get a HOT washcloth on your face vs. COOL washcloth and provide feedback to each other. I firmly believe that customers should be offered a COLD washcloth.

The place is clean and they do have drinks they will give you while waiting. But wait you will. They have 8 chairs with only two barbers cutting and they take a long time even when you are in the chair.They always try and up charge you for products that you probably dont want or need.The barbers are nice enough and its decorated well, but I would just rather go to a place where I can get a normal haircut without the freebies and where its quicker and easier.

If their goong to charge you 45 dollars for a hair cut, a beard trim, and a wash then they need to be more trained and experienced at it. I also got a, what they want to call, massage. Was not worth the money spent. Plus they trimmed my beard uneven.

Came here on Saturday afternoon around 140. Was told it would be a 45 minute wait. After an hour and 15 minutes I ask how much longer they say about 15 minutes. Half an hour later after the girl we were with got her hair and make up done nearby and was ready to go they still didn’t know when he can get in. I said how can you be so off on your estimation it’s not like your brand new when you have a been doing this for a while girl was rude and said I can take your name off the list no apologies no offer to get him in next I said if you can’t get him in the next five minutes or so we can’t wait to she said well it’s not gonna be that so just take your name off the list. You just wasted two hours out of my Saturday and I could’ve gone to another place but now I don’t don’t have time. Definitely not professional. When I asked why she couldn’t give a better approximation she said next time I suggest you make an appointment. Maybe they should’ve said that when I first came in instead of putting us on the list if you don’t want walkins and you can’t handle walkins or be at least in the ballpark of estimated times then you should only be reservations. Absolutely will never come back here again. Rude unprofessional and completely not worth even trying if it’s busy.

Went in totally didnt get the haircut I wanted. Medium fade turned into high like a kite fade. Also they kept offering all these extra accommodations. Im there for just a haircut not a shampooing and beer. Ended up paying 28 dollars for just a haircut.

All I asked for was a trim around the ears so I could look presentable for my grandfathers funeral, they didnt even touch the top. It wasnt until after she was done that the gal told me they couldnt just charge for a trim, or even a plain haircut. Whether you want it or not you have to pay for full services, so yeah $28 to trim around the ears. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I visited the Diesel Barber Shop in New Braunfels and had the privelage to be assisted by Caitlin Jandt. This was my first time ever experiencing this shop and Caitlin definitely went out of her way to make me feel comfortable. I have long hair with an undercut and I am very particular about the way I want it cut. Caitlin took the time to get down on her knee and consult with me (who does that these days?!!!) I love that she was eye to eye with me. It made me feel like she was listening to what I really wanted. Caitlin explained everything she would be doing before we started the service which let me know she was truly listening. My hair is amazing and I would absolutely recommend Caitlin to anyone!!!!

Best haircuts in town. I dont mind paying a little more for looking really good. There is a reason there is always a wait, but at least you can enjoy a beer while you are.

Both stars are for Dom, hes the man, master of the fade.As of 1.1.19 they have made all their pricing al a carte. I just cant wrap my head around ending up with a $50 price tag on a barber cut, no shampoo or massage or hot towel, no beer no beard trim or shave, just a barber cut for a teenage boy. Pure insanity.We will not be back. Its too bad because they have some skilled stylists/barbers (who dont make the pricing decisions) but even over priced Ulta only charges $30 for a basic mens barber cut(not that Id recommend going there for that). If you want the hot topic atmosphere in a $$$ salon for men, this place is 100% for you, you will love it. If you like to keep your fade fresh and go frequently Id recommend a real barber, this place is not for you.

Yesterday I went to have a beard line up at Deisel barbershop and I had a terrible beard line up. Nothing I asked for was done by the time i saw the damage it was to late. 40 dollars done the drain for a terrible terribke beard shape up. Never again.

Only getting a one star cause I can’t give them less. Walked and was told 60 minute wait, long time but figured they were busy, I ended up waiting for 2 1/2 hours while watching barbers talk to one another disregarding us that were waiting. Not only was the wait so long but when I asked where I was in the order I was told you WILL BE CALLED NEXT! However I had 2 other individuals who walked in after I did get seen before me when I was told that I would be next. Manager was not helpful, I was very disappointed. Highly doubt I will be returning!

My first few visits were great. The past 2 months I’ve attempted to get a haircut here has been a nightmare...I have never seen such a poorly managed staff. No communication, obsurred appointment regulations, numerous unhelpful desk staff, and a cuts that went from $10 to $40 now...I’m very disappointed in the lack of customer service this staff has. I live 2 minutes away and I’ll drive the extra 20 minutes to the other side of New Braunfels just to avoid this poorly run establishment. Wish someone would step up and help them. It’s not they’re fault but no more of this. Not getting my business anymore.

Very good Manager! Took my boys to get their hair cut and their mom was not happy with the result. The manager called me and invited us back and she personally fixed it for free. Will be back!

Well I saw a good review and I saw diesel and so I thought it must be in the TA but it is not . It is across the street from Buckys and has nothing to do with diesel LOL . They do have nice ladies that cut your hair 80s video games (some work) and awesome wall art . I will be back as I was hoping Patti would have cut my hair BUT the 3 yr Rookie did a damn good job . I cant think of her name but she has a Cure style hair cut for you New Wave Rockers . Very happy with them .

Great barber shop just super expensive 35 dollars for my 5 year olds hair cut

I have been coming here since they opened, my only complaint is that I find a barber that I like and build a relationship with then and they leave. Its happened a bunch, I know its the industry but maybe something is happening on the back end with management.

This is great place for a simple haircut. Complementary Drinks and the works like sport clips and knockouts. But better because its called Diesel. LOL

I went in for a high and tight hair cut and a beard edging at the end of this experience I had to give them $50.00. There is NO HAIRCUT AND BEARD EDGING WORTH $50.00!!!! I will NEVER go back to this rip off business!!!!!

Love the model and tried it several times. It was very inconsistent haircuts throughout and seemed to have high turnover. Unfortunately I wait til I can go back home every two weeks just to get a haircut. This place has potential but the stylist are not up to par.
