In a rush, on 10/20/20, I purchased hair product from this salon at WalMart in New Braunfels. It had a odor I couldnt tolerate. I rarely return things but had the receipt and took it in 2 days later. This salons policy is NO RETURN ON ITEMS USED OR NOT USED due to Covid. Their receipt (after the sale) does state this but the staff at checkout did not verbally inform me of their policy. I contacted the owner, and she stated that there is a sign stating this. I did not see this sign and doubt the sign was highly visible. I called ULTA and was cheerfully informed that ULTA policy is 180 day returns on used and unused hair products. Buyer beware! Im sure all these SmartStyle Salons have the same ridiculous (IMO) policy.

I went too get a cut by a stylist named Ana, she was very rude and didn’t listen to what I was saying, when she got done it was not what I had asked for at all. Once I stated the cut was not what I wanted she said I was over reacting and not too worry it would grow out. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!!

Went in @640 to get a product, and they informed me they were already closed for the night and told me to come back tomorrow when it clearly states they don’t close until 7. Bottom line make sure your there at least one hour before they close or they won’t help you.

I recently moved from a big city and have found it extremely difficult to find someone who was knowledgeable of my hair texture. I was walking by the salon in Walmart just so happen to meet my new stylist. CORIN is polite, efficient, and professional I highly recommend her for any and all hair types but especially for those with extremely thick and coarse hair textures, her hands were magic.

I have gone about three times, with three different ladies. They all did an amazing job on my hair which I love because I have long and TICK hair. Didn’t give them 5 stars for a few reasons. The first two times I went i got the exact same thing done.. cut, thinned, and straightened. the first time i was only charged $15 but the second time it was $35 which really irritated me. That’s a $20 difference for the SAME thing. The third time i went in the lady asked what i wanted and i simply said a trim.. She walks me over to the hair washing stations and i said i do not need a wash. She recommended it because apparently it’ll be better for the cut. i said i do not need it, i never get my hair washed before a cut and it comes out fine. then she says, “ok so you’re fine with it not being the best it can be.” which i found really rude because of the tone. i guess she sensed that i was annoyed because she made the other lady do my hair. and the other lady also insisted on the wash. but i said no. just wish they would listen to the costumer the first time and not keep insisting. another thing, they do charge an extra $10 if you have longer hair, not sure how long it has to be but $10 is understandable.

I asked for a very simple men’s haircut and the gal managed to mess it up. First time I’ve ever gone an entire haircut without her wetting my hair. She literally took one swipe across my bangs and called it good. She didn’t fade anything, so there are obvious lines in my hair. Morale of the story, done use Coren.

Got my bangs cut yesterday, and my hair cut in layers,well she did a horrible job on my bangs, I aubaluty hated them, I had to go to the landmark salon and had to have them fixed,, she took to much off the sides now I have to let them grow about 2 inches till I can have that fixed .NEVER GOING BACK
