I am new to getting my nails done. My daughter in-law took me for the first time in May. I was in MI for my granddaughters graduation. After a while they were in need of fixing or removing them all together.I was introduced to a different product that is less harmful to my nails, and fits my lifestyle so much better.They really care about their clients, they back up their work, and they are so talented❣️This is the only place I go to.

Love this salon! They are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The work they do is of very high quality, and the polish lasts longer than other salons I have visited. They also made allowances for charges for my 7-year-old grand-daughter’s nails. Some places charge full price...which is ridiculous. Try it...you won’t be disappointed!

I have been going to Nail Concepts for over 10 years. My gal is Vicki. She will do your nails anyway you like them. I trust her totally each time I go! Tried other places at times when out of town. Always end up going to Vicki to fix them !

I used to love going here for pedicures & dip nails, but haven’t since last fall. Andy always did great work. I started going to a salon in Louisville closer to home, but missed Nail Concepts, so wanted to give them a visit again. Went last Wednesday, and this is what my dip nails look like as of today. Not sure what the girl’s name was, she barely spoke to me. She was very rough, filed them down too much, & only used two “coats”. She was upset because I told her not to use Gel polish on top of the dip (that’s not how you do dip, I would get gel nails if I wanted gel. I am beyond disappointed. I work in sales, not construction, my nails should not look like this in less than a week. Dip always last me 5 weeks, I always go the same day I go to the hair salon. Huge waste of $35, & the gas it took to get over there. :(

I absolutely LOVE Vicki. She is very precise with her work, professionals, & does quality work. I live in Louisville & this business is on Charlestown road in Indiana. I do not mind driving to see her because she does such a good job.

Very happy with my first experience there! I walked in, had zero wait time. They gave recommendations as to what service would be best for me, due to brittle nails. I decided to go with dip and couldn’t be happier! Although this was my first experience here, it definitely will not be my last!

They always make my nails look great, every time and with every person I get! It’s a great price for the service you get. I get dip and my nails would last longer than a month if I let them, no other place does them so well that they will stay on for longer than a month. I work with kids and I’m always washing my hands and I’m super rough on my nails so this says a lot. They are awesome.

Very professional, clean, none of the nail techs were hollowing or talking loud very much of an upgrade to where I had been going. I was listen to by Vicki. Even when she took a phone call, she was not loud and she continued working on my nails. She is fast because she knows her trade; but not to the point that I felt I was on a cattle drive. My nails did not have large humps close to the cuticle area. As had been done with Gorgeous nails. My nerves were not on end listening to Billy yelling. Vicki kept her station clean Prior to me sitting at her station and also during. Also their bathroom is very clean, stylish and maintained. I will definitely be going back. Also their nail art is reasonably priced, as well as their other services. In speaking to two other ladies who had been going there for several years, they could only sing the praises of this business.

They were A-MAZING!!! QUICK, FRIENDLY, EFFICENT, GREAT WORK!!! VERY PLEASED WITH MY RESULTS. They definitely gained a new regular today😊💯❤💅

The best nail salon in the area! Andy, Jenny, and Vicky are very professional and they care about their clients! My family has had a really rough year and when I go to Nail Concepts and one of them do my nails, it’s like a therapy session! They are so kind and compassionate, I feel like they are very genuine and they really do care about my family! I wouldn’t ever go anywhere else! ❤️❤️

I’ve been to many different shops in the New Albany area and Nail Concepts is the best. Their very professional, do an excellent job and sincerely appreciate your business. Another thing I like is they always listen to your needs, they’re sincere, honest and accommodating.

First nail salon that my dip actually lasts 2-3 weeks! I’m hard on my nails with constant hand washing and cleaning. Love the clean and calm environment!

I have been looking for a great nail salon. Not only does my dip nails look great, I’ve never had a problem with them peeling or chips off! They do take a long time, but it’s worth it for them to look great!

Awful! My mom and I went in to get polish changes for our nails. One of the workers did my moms toe nails cut them so short they hurt. They didn’t cut/file either of our nails evenly, and my moms weren’t painted on the sides. They didn’t ask us what shape we wanted, and called my mother (who is a saint) a name. Very rude experience. Won’t be going back. It’s really sad because the owner is nice, the other ones NOT AT ALL.

Normally Vicky does my nails, and does an absolutely amazing job! Today she was with a client so Amy did my nails. She was very nice and kept conversation going, she did an amazing job! This is a great place to get your nails done, and these 2 lovely ladies are awesome!!

I felt super rushed the whole time I was there, this is the first time I had been to this nail salon, the pricing isn’t bad at all... $28 for a full set. Staff wasn’t the friendliest, but the place was super clean. The lady didn’t get the skin from my cuticles. 3/5 probably won’t go back.

I have been to nail concepts 3 times. My first two times were quite wonderful and I loved my acrylic nails. My most recent trip was quite the opposite. I went in hoping to get a fill in on some acrylics I had gotten at a different salon while I was out of town. I walked in a waited for a good 25 minutes. Then they seated me. She immediately took off my polish and then preceded to awkwardly trim my exsisting acrylics. She told me I needed a new set although I had only had the acrylics for a little under a month, I will admit I let them grow out a little long but still not terrible. I understood the acrylics were apparently unable to be worked with and explained that I would rather take off the acrylics and get gel versus getting a new set. I did this mainly because of time and I was hoping to give my nails a break from the acrylics. She then proceeded to soak my nails in acetone. She then left me to work on another clients nails. I sat with my nails soaking in acetone well over 30 minutes. It got to the point where my nails were extremely dry and uncomfortable. The entire time she was working on someone else’s nails and only checked on me once. I then had a gentleman take over. (The entire time I was at the salon no client had a single manicurist they all hopped around.) He was quite nice but filed my nails to an extreme point. My nails were already thin from acrylics and with the excess filing one became unbelievably thin and is now bent inwards. He didn’t really try to find a solution and just painted over the messes up nail. He also switched over polish brands half way which I thought was strange. I have had these gel nails for two days now and I already have 2 chipped nails. I am not rough with my nails by any means and tend to never have chipping even with regular polish but these are already looking bad. I hate to say I will never be returning to nail concepts. It was overall a bad experience even though I hadn’t had any issues with them in the past.

They are very professional and do fantastic work. I have been going to this group since early 2000. I started with them when they were in the Meijer on Charlestown Road and now they are in Nail Concepts across the street.

Good nails, no lifting

I always go here because I live very close but I never get the same experience when I go. Sometimes they do a good job and other times they don’t. However I just took my last trip there... they just charged me $50 for a BASIC PEDICURE!! I’ve always paid $35 which I thought was too much as it is.They do not list prices on a board or anything so you have no idea how much services are in the first place but knowing I’ve been there many times and only paid $35 for the same thing and they charged me $15 more for not doing anything more is absurd and I won’t go back. Nor did they do that great of a job.Prices are so much lower at other salons ($25) but I always went there strictly for convenience but convenience isn’t gonna take me there again that’s for sure.

STAY AWAY! Wish I would have read the negative reviews before coming here today! It was the worse mani/pedi service I’ve ever had and I’ve been to lots of different salons! When I first arrived I was looking through the nail polish bottles on the wall to try and find the name of the exact color I was looking for. I had only been looking for a minute when a lady came to me and asked if I wanted gel and I said yes, she said come here and motioned me to follow her. I was thinking maybe she was taking me to where the gel was but she took me to the chair she wanted me in and handed me the keychain of colors to pick what I wanted. I explained to her that there was a specific color I was wanting that I knew the name of if I could just go back to the wall and find it. I could tell she wasn’t too happy about it but she said I could go look. Once I found what I wanted and sat down she never said a single word to me the whole time she did my pedi. Never asked if the water was too hot, never asked if the hot towel was too hot. I have a pretty ugly looking scar on my ankle from having ankle surgery last year and usually the techs ask me about it and ask if it hurts still because they want to be careful with it and she never said a word about it. She cut my big toe nail down to the skin and then when she dug underneath it to clean it out, it hurt very much because she cut it too short in the first place, she was very rough. Then when doing my nails, she never asked what shape I wanted she just started filing them down. When she pushed back my cuticles she was VERY rough and I knew that wasn’t a good sign. I thought right then oh I hope she doesn’t cut me when she starts cutting the excess skin off. Well she cut me 3 different times. She took a chunk of skin off my pinky finger and it would not stop bleeding. She got out that little bottle of liquid they use when you have a bleeding spot (I’m sure there’s a name for it but I don’t know what it’s called) but being in healthcare myself it grossed me out to think they touch that on everyone else’s blood spots. So just as she was getting ready to touch the bottle to my blood I said can I just go wash my hands? She said yes but again seemed annoyed. I washed my hands and could not get my pinky finger to stop bleeding it was so bad! I held a paper towel to it for a while and the other employees were starting to look at me and wondering what was going on, I think they eventually figured it out but no one said a word to me. As I was walking back to my chair I almost decided to just pay for my toes and leave but I really didn’t feel like going somewhere else just to get the paint put on. So I sat back down and my pinky was still bleeding bad and another finger was decently bleeding too, she then took that bottle I was talking about and put the liquid on a piece of cotton and then placed it on my blood spots. I was just so fed up at this point that I didn’t even care I was just ready to get out of there. What really got me was she NEVER ONE TIME apologized, never asked if I was ok....NOTHING! Literally not a single word the entire time. Once the bleeding stopped she painted my nails and on a couple of my nails she missed the sides of my nail so there’s no polish there it looks kinda weird if you are looking close. She was just so rough, rude, and unfriendly. Never will I ever go back there again! And I will tell everyone I know to stay away! She’s lucky I’m nice and still left her even a little bit of a tip despite my awful experience.UPDATE: literally a week later my gel polish started peeling up from the cuticles and I just went ahead and peeled them off the rest of the way. They actually all easily peeled off in one sheet/layer rather than being hard to get off or chipping off like they normally do when I get gel. It was almost like I had on sticker nails or something. So not only is their technique awful, the products they use for gel must be old or cheap and not long lasting either!! Never again, especially for how much it cost!

I went to get a fill in at Nail Concepts in New Albany on Charlestown Rd. Across from Meijer, and was told I couldnt a fill in with the ANC product even though thats what was on my nails. So they soaked off my set that had only been on for 3 weeks. Then started applying the ANC powder to my real nails which were very short and I asked are you going to make them longer, because they were longer when I came in? She seemed frustrated and said I had to have tips and I agreed bc I had tips before she soaked them off. She then began speaking her language to the girl next to her, which was very rude! Anyway I walked away with a terrible nail job and 6 cuts around my nails from the file that I felt was on purpose bc I complained. Will not be going back!!!

I WILL NEVER EVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE AGAIN. If I had the option, I wouldnt even give this place one star. I typically go somewhere else, but I wanted to try a new place to switch it up...well, never again.I walked in on a Sunday and it wasnt that busy, but I waited for a good 20 minutes. I went back and the lady took off my nail polish (but not all of it, which was odd). Then she started to take off my current fake nails. SHE WAS SO ROUGH. She also didnt get all of fake nails off my real nails, and then she cut me... and I said You are being way too rough.I almost left then, but then I thought maybe shell be more gentle especially since I asked her to be more gentle, AFTER CUTTING ME.Well, it didnt get better after that. She started to glue on my new fake nails, and I had told her that my middle finger fake nail wasnt glued on all the way. Each time I mentioned it, she ignored me. So I told her again, and again, roughly four times. Then I just told her flat out to fix it. So when she went to fix it, it popped right off and my husband was getting mad at this point because he could see how upset I was. So when it popped off so easily, he even said See, she told you. After that, he said, I really dont feel comfortable you finishing out your full set here, lets go somewhere else. I said, I agree. so when we were getting up, I said we are going somewhere else and the lady tried to pull off the already glued on tips!? OWW! (Wouldnt you have to soak them off??) We asked how much we owed and paid 10.00 and my nails were not even halfway done. I had the new fake tips on and no acrylic on top. I WAS THAT UPSET. Typically I would have sat and let them finish and never return, but I couldnt deal with it. They hurt me. And for my husband who was watching to say he wanted to leave speaks VOLUMES! The other lady, maybe the owner, said shed fix it and I refused. The lady who did my nails ran my card, and she was giggling? I left furious and went across the street to Pretty Nails.As I was waiting for Pretty Nails, a few ladies came in and they acted like they didnt want to wait at Pretty Nails and one of them said something along the lines of well, we could go across the street but they arent good and I told them my experience because I overheard them.So this place already doesnt have the best name for themselves despite these Google reviews. Word of mouth is much more effective. I will continue to go to my regular place and NEVER RETURN to Nail Concepts ever! I really wish I wouldnt have even paid for what they did. All they did was be rough, cut me, and do a horrible job.

I have never had a bad experience, rough handling or rude behavior at any time. From the moment I walk through the door I am greeted with a smile, a polite atmosphere and friendly conversation. With my many years, I have become a regular with Andy and Vicky as my technicians. I trust them to the point that I do not pick out my color or design of nail art. I just give them my hands and I can honestly say I HAVE NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED and neither will you after you visit Andy and his talented girls 💅💅

DO NOT GO HERE!! my nails were cut uneven, she didnt even paint the whole nail!! She cut me 4 times, and the polish had chunks in it and she said its ok!! Needless to say, I paid 40.00 for my nails to have to go somewhere else to get them fixed. If I could give ZERO stars I would!!!
