Casey Moore provided me with exceptional customer service. I am new to Nashville and was currently looking for an affordable apartment for me and my family. He greeted me with a smile and provided me all the information I needed to know regarding the application process. He made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process and answered all my questions. I am happy to say that everything was a smooth process, I highly recommend everyone to speak with Casey, he will take good care of you.

My Experience living at Hickory Point has been WONDERFUL! I recently went into the office with a couple of issues and the manager, JESSICA began resolving my issues in the twinkling of an eye. A true resolutionist who listens with a caring heart that doesnt skip.Shes a blindingly quick multitasker with no nonsense, but straight forward. When I left the office, I felt satisfied and even warmer about my living here at Hickory Point.

Alexander Braden from the front office has been super helpful from the day we turned in our application. He helped get us a move in date immediately, always responded to our emails and calls, answers all our questions and quickly resolves any issues we had whether it be on the website or in the apartment. He clearly laid out all the steps needed to move in and has been a huge help so far!

I moved in September 2020 after a very confusing leasing process- they sent me an email saying I was denied the apartment so I signed a lease elsewhere and they called me a week later asking why I hadn’t signed the lease and they had no information as to why I got an email saying I was denied when I was actually accepted. The gate that is listed as an amenity for a gated community has never been closed once since I’ve lived here and you have a better chance at getting struck by lightning than getting the office to answer their phone. After an “inspection” they tried charging me a pet fee with no communication to me because they noticed the cat tree in my living room even though I listed I had a service animal on my lease (which was included in the application form online) when I called 6 times in a row until someone in the office picked up they claimed it wasn’t a part of the online forms even though there’s a box to check that asks if your listed pet is a service animal and they then requested proof that he was actually a service animal and dropped the fee when I provided the documents. Cars are constantly blasting music outside and racing up and down the hill of the complex- the speed bumps make no difference. I’ve lived in college dorm buildings that were more quiet than this complex. My apartment itself is cozy and spacious and came with a washer and dryer in unit which has saved me a ton of money. You have to change the air filter in the AC once a month or mildew will start growing out of the vents and onto the ceiling which I learned after filing a maintenance request to have it fixed, the maintenance guys are always very friendly and helpful. The pool just opened over the weekend for the first time in the 11 months I’ve been here after failing several inspections. The valet trash service is I believe is $25 or $35 a month and they don’t always come when they’re supposed to and leave the trash they drop on the ground. There’s been several days where there’s just garbage everywhere. Overall, I do enjoy my apartment itself but the management and amenities are extremely lacking which makes this a very difficult place to live.

Every negative thing you’ve read on these reviews are true. I could start with the fact that nothing is upgraded, apartment was dirty when I moved in, pool was never opened, gate never worked, apartment building walls are razed thin (you will hear your neighbors), non proactive office staff ( at least the ones I dealt with I’m sure they will change in another 4 months like they always do), ridiculous monthly charges like the “trash valet” of $28 a month on top of an already $10 for trash. When given the option to renew I was presented with a higher price in rent and longer terms than what I started with. I could keep going on but please let me save you from the worst experience by renting here. If conditions were different it would be a new story.

Been bad from the first day. Was promised upgraded apt and upon moving in, we noticed it was only partially updated. Property manager at the time made some excuse that it was a misunderstanding and offered 100$ Off that months rent. Since moving in. Water heater was out for over a week in the winter. Ac has gone out. Our dishwasher has broken 2 times. First time took over a month to fix. Now it’s broken again over a month and nothing is fixed. The pool is constantly green. Like disgusting. The “gym” is missing weights and none of the equipment is maintained. We were issued parking passes. Yet the gate is constantly open. My truck was towed from my space overnight. I went to the office and the only thing the “customer service” guy said was “idk what you want me to do about it” i ended Up having to call the police to get my truck back. Hickory point personel did absolutely nothing to help. I LIVE HERE AND THEY TOWED MY TRUCK WHEN I WAS SLEEPING. And yes i have The parking permit. Was parked in a normal space. Anyway. Now toward the end of my lease and seeing as I’m paying 1320 a month for an apt that’s missing things i was Promised, pool is unusable, the dumpster is constantly overfilled with MOUNTAINS of trash spilling onto the street. Couches in the bushes and grass, appliances are junk and when they break HP doesn’t take necessary steps to replace them. Last but not least. Dude at the desk was a jerk when my truck got towed. So for those reasons. I will Not be renewing my lease here (and they raised the price 😂) If you’re looking here beware. It seemed nice in the beginning.

Dont believe the positive reviews about this place. They give you a gift card to leave a positive review. This place is horrible. The gate might as well not be there. It was broken for 90% of the time that I lived there. When I moved in, my carpets were stained and the entire apartment smelled like animals. It was obvious that there was no cleaning after the previous tenant had moved out. I put in multiple maintenance requests that were never fulfilled. The entire apartment was under construction for 75% of the time I was there. When I called the front office with a noise concern about the construction and hammering outside of my window, which started promptly at 5am mon-fri, I was told there was nothing they could do. I say I contacted the front office. However, that is a rare occurrence. They will not answer your calls or even return your call 99% of the time. If you want a peaceful and low stress apartment complex to live in, this is not the one for you.

I moved into Hickory Point about two months ago and I couldn’t be happier. We moved in during the COVID-19 pandemic so we had to do virtual tours and online communications. Despite the unconventional move-in methods, we were pleasantly surprised at how smoothly everything went. We had a few minor issues after moving in but they were resolved promptly. The apartment is beautiful! The kitchen has matching black appliances and contemporary countertops. There are high ceilings creating an elegant look and beautiful wood flooring throughout. The apartment has three bedrooms and two full baths. I especially love the bathtub in the master bedroom! All the rooms are spacious and comfortable. There are large windows that flood the apartment with light and energy! The landscaping is beautiful, the view from my balcony is spectacular, and all the residents I’ve made contact with are very friendly. Compared to the last apartment complex I lived in, I would recommend Hickory Point to any of my friends or family. I love it here!

This is a horrible place to live. The management is unbelievably rude and is hardly even ever around to help you. Someone tried to break into my car and when I alerted the front office about it they were very rude and condescending towards me when I was simply just trying to let them know that this had happened. I had a unit with a backyard which was nice until the property workers would appear out our window at least once a day. I have no idea what they were doing but there were men constantly walking in our yard and driving golf carts through it. You could end up with a nice view of the city or you could end up with a nice view of sketchy men out your bedroom window. They always have a new reason to come into your apartment to check something with very short notice. Our water went out for a day and there was no information given about it whatsoever. The office will never answer your phone calls or get back to you and we lived with broken lights/fans for the entire 9 months that we were there because they just never came to fix them after being contacted several times. The parking situation is horrible. There are not enough spots for all the residents that live there and its a hassle to have friends come over because they are not allowed to park in the lot overnight without a visitors pass. The gates are always open so anyone can come in and it is right next to some not so nice parts of town. I honestly could not say enough terrible things about this place and I DO NOT recommend living here!!!

Im weary of this place. The assistant manager, Katie is extremely rude and disrespectful. i asked for an corporate contact or general manager s email she was very rude about it and told me she reports to no one. that is only the half of it.i was so fascinated by the photos i tried to get more details before applying. Good Luck with that. i have called at least 3 times a day for the past week and no response. i can only imagine what it is like if you live here. i drove a hour away just so i can get someone to answer my questions. This is where i met Katie. I told her ive called at least 5 times today at different times and can never get anyone on the line unless i drive from home. i guess it offended her because she was very rude.i drove down a day prior to take a tour. in which you have to pop up to do. its impossible to schedule or talk to someone. My tourist told me it is her first day. and was unable to answer any of my questions. She provided me with so much inaccurate information it is crazy. She knew nothing but was persistent on getting me to sign a lease. She was a really sweet girl just have to be trained better. especially when it regards peoples finances and living situations.this place has a 2.9 star review. ive only visited the parking lot twice and see why. 2.9 stars is overrated management will be the downfall of this place. i suggest anyone living here to build a relationship with a realestate attorney in the case they try to screw you over. They seem like sketchy characters.I hate unprofessional-ism, i am making sure to be very persistent on contacting whoever interviews and employees the property manager. they have a real issue on their hands.

So far, those apartments have been okay to live in. They’re a bit on the pricy side but overall, they are decent. I gave this review two stars because of the trash issue and nothing is being done about it. I hate to walk out of my door and see trash just sitting on the ground outside of the bin. There’s a stray animal ripping through the trash and instead of people cleaning it up, they just let it sit there and it smells horrible, and the flies are even worse. I wish the property would do something about this issue.

Let me start this review by sharing the positives. Its a nice area and for the most part, we felt safe living at Hickory Point. Also, a majority of the time, maintenance was great when we needed something done.My family and I lived in this complex for 4 years (including a cat for 3/4 of our last year there). We started in a 1 bedroom for two years and then moved to a 2 bedroom for the other 2 years. One of our biggest complaints about this place has been lack of communication with things happening in the complex. The communication we did receive usually lacked some detail. The second biggest complaint about the complex is the crazy amount of turnover with management/staff. There have been multiple times where we were not pleased with the lack of follow through from management or consistency between the switching of management. Its never felt like a customer first business with anyone from the office. Living there for four years and being good tenants honestly meant nothing to the complex. We ended up not getting out deposit back because of a list of things...but the thing we didnt understand was the fact that we also paid a hefty pet fee which we thought would take care of things when we moved out if any damage from the pet. BUT that wasnt the case. They just kept our deposit money because of a few things our pet had damaged and charged us a cleaning fee for the carpet...when we know they are just going to rip up the carpet and put new in. So the pet fee is apparently just another way to get your money. We also had a silverfish problem, that pest control couldnt take care of. It was gross and we ended up just dealing with the random silverfish that appeared on our wall. Last but not least, my last complaint is the parking. Its really sad when you cant find parking in front of your own building at night. Sometimes we would have to park at a parking lot that were for the buildings below us (we lived on top of the hill). Its just not right. This complex is a money trap and I could keep going with more details but this review is lengthy enough. It wasnt a terrible place to live, but it wasnt just awesome either.

When I moved in, my apartment was not even ready and was being painted and renovated. I was 8 months pregnant moving from Kentucky and I could not even stay in my apartment because of how strong the smell of paint was and nothing was clean - it was disgustingly dirty. They didn’t even check the apartment before I moved 3 hours with a uhaul, pregnant, and I called them before I left to make sure all was good but they didn’t answer or call me back. Then they tried to blame me and treated me awful! It gets worse... the manager Whitney had the nerve to tell me “well you’re not even supposed to be moving in until 3 o’clock...” IT WAS 1:30pm! WHAT? So are you saying my apartment will be ready by 3? She even had cigarettes just laying out on her desk, so unprofessional and the head manager James smelled like them too. The entire office staff was so rude and they promised me everything would be fixed by next day. Guess what... NO ONE CAME! Empty promises all week. Finally about one week later it was ok to move into. What a disaster. So now I had an issue with a late fee for rent - I called the office & they said it would be removed. They didn’t remove it. So now they are threatening to evict my family and newborn baby if I don’t pay their late fee. They are the worst people and worst apartments I’ve ever experienced in my life! DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!

Unbelievably overpriced for what the apartment is. Management is terrible and they do not respond quickly to problems. They are also very rarely in the office. The gates are always broken so anyone can drive in. People leave their garbage outside their doors all the time and nothing is done to stop this behavior (which just attracts bugs.) When I moved in the carpet in the apartment was a disaster. Stains and dirt everywhere when it should have just been replaced. The kitchen was so greasy (microwave and stove just covered in it) that I had to clean the entire place before I could even unpack my stuff. I moved out after a year and they did not return my deposit to me within the 30 day time limit imposed by Tennessee state law. It has been almost 60 days and I still do not have my money. This is horrible place to live when it comes to parking space and deal with management.I have been living in this apartment since last June month and we are facing lots of problems with parking. Although having high rent, they dont provide allocated parking slot. they have general parking. they do provide garage parking but that costs 100$ extra per month. due to problem of parking space we parked our car in front of garage such a way that car inside garage can be taken out and inside easily though the tenant complaint and towing company towed our car. we had to pay $200 fine for this. Management should have informed us once before calling towing company. Management team is not up to the mark. when we went to them for towing companys information they replied like there is a board hanging on gate. Review №58

Im not usually one to hand out negative reviews, however I had an exceptionally bad experience with Hickory Point. Mostly in regards to their most recent front desk staff. This is not the staff I signed my lease with and from what I understand theyve gone through four different property managers in the last year, if thats not enough of a red flag for you. They have stopped taking packages for their residents at the front desk because of too many complaints about losing or mislabeling packages. They lost a very expensive package of mine, however their only advice was to report my package to the company as lost, even though it said very clearly in their log book that they had received it, and Maddison had even remembered taking the package. I also received absolutely no apology or sympathy for the fact they had clearly made the mistake, regardless of what they said their company policy was. A month later, after already ordering and receiving a replacement, my lost package magically showed up on my doorstep. No note, no apology, nothing. Also, the parking situation is horrendous. They think theyve solved it by booting cars, however that happens so sporadically that people still abuse the rules regardless AND the parking pass policy is so strict that you cant even have a social life. You cant have anyone over after 6pm unless they have a visitors parking pass, which are only usable for 24-48 hours at a time, so hopefully you dont have anyone coming in from out of town. Also, the visitor has to park near the office, which is quite a trek for most of the apartment buildings. If you want to have friends or family over spontaneously just be ready to pay the booting company $50 per car the next morning. There is no solution as to what happens if you have your visitors come on a whim when the office is closed and you cant obtain a visitor pass. I wouldnt bother bringing any of your concerns to the front desk staff though, they dont seem to care about their residents at all.Maintenance is a total joke. Every time I left a maintenance request, I received a condescending note from the maintenance man telling me whatever I had requested was actually not broken or just a blatant I dont know how to fix it. I honestly gave up and lived with a broken sink for 10 months.Lastly, let it be clear that an armed robbery happened in building 11 last March. This armed robbery resulted in a murder of the burglar. I didnt find this out until months after I had been living in the same breezeway. My advice here is dont let the gated community fool you. This place is not safe. I would see suspicious characters aimlessly walking around in the parking lot after midnight when taking my dog out all the time. The gate also rarely works. If its working right now, give it another month and it will somehow be broken again. Im not sure it worked properly even half of my time living there.

I currently live here..Ive been here for at least 6 months. The property is nice, if your looking for a gated community do not come here.. I cant tell you the last time I had to use my card to get in. Also you should know that you have a base rent and a ton of fees. My extra fees come to 75$ a month that wasnt told of upon moving. A trash compactor fee of 7 then valet is like 28.. seriously Im paying $35 for trash.. but its not an option Id much rather walk to the trash compactor w the garbage. Also when you pay rent its a fee of 35$ regardless of how you pay it. The gym is a joke the machines are old and screech. The best people so far are the maintenance team they are on top of things. I jus kind of sit in the background and I never call the front, when I do Im quickly rushed off.. Im not sure if fletcher is still here but boy he definitely does not need to be in customer service. Thats the first person who needs to go... I really dont mind the late night now late meaning midnight pool parties... or the late night basketball teams or kids that practice till 11 at night.. heres what I did mind.. this morning at 6am pool parties seriously cant people be considerate people are asleep. I cant call the office bc I will either not be able to get a hold of them or they wont help.. but Ill try.... this apartment has the potential to be a stellar property but there isnt anyone who cares enough to invest. Hickory Point is a prime location that is central to most Nashville landmarks. The area is convenient, the apartments are decent and the amenities are nice. With all this said, there is one major issue. There is no parking. For the studious, the hard workers or just the late nighters, expect to come home with parking unavailable. While the efforts to boot and tow unlawfully parked cars remain a never ending battle, actual residents with parking passes are held accountable to the same regards when parking. It is clear to note here that there is NOT a parking space available for every resident. Weigh this extreme inconvenience heavily as Hickory Point staff are aware and have no plans in the near future to rectify the situation.

Manager and leasing agent not willing to do the right thing and prorate an apartment when we moved out on the 4th of the month. They made us sign the lease upfront for the entire month, but told us verbally that they would prorate the month. Now, they said if they get someone in before the end of the month, they will give us the money back. However, the person will not rent it because they raised the price. Madison, the leasing agent, was not nice at all, very rude. Dont rent here if you want nice people to deal with.

I cant choose 0 stars but if I could it would fit the bill perfectly. This is the WORST apartment complex in the city. After an experience living here for 2 years I will never live in an apartment again. Everything you read with a 1 star rating is 100% accurate. The management is trash, and you will have a new manager every 4-8 months. They dont fix anything in a timely fashion and they are near impossible to get ahold of. The pool pump went out last year in the summer in middle July. The pool doesnt close for the season till Labor Day but they chose to ignore the problem and never get it fixed so residents couldnt use the pool. The rates are constantly changing and they are constantly changing the ways they want you to pay the rent. Live in literally ANY OTHER APARTMENT COMPLEX THAN THIS ONE!!

Great apartment. I previously lived downtown and was concerned about the commute from Brentwood. I was pleasantly surprised that there are so many options to get in and out of the city including back roads to take during rush hour. Uber is $20 or less into the city. The location is gorgeous and the management staff are always very friendly and helpful. The maintenance is very prompt and they go out of their way to help you. I recommend this location without hesitation. Thanks everyone!

This place is horrible. My vehicle was broken into. The suspect shattered my window and took my belongings. When I contacted the front office they said they couldnt do anything because they had no parking lot cameras. Also, at that point the gate was open, which explains how the burglar made it into the complex. Also, about this gate, it does not always work. They leave the gate wide open from time to time. They have developed a parking permit system but they only towed cars the first week or so. Also, if youre trying to have friends over after 6pm you must ask them to park by the front office. Their car will be towed. This happened to my friend and they charged her 50$. They say you must get a visitor pass for them but this is impossible since they only open until 5pm and close on Sunday. The basketball court was cool until they require a special key you can only obtain during operating times which are 9-5.Our A/C broke down about a month ago. Maintenance went in and fixed it, but the issue continued. After reporting it once again they said they would send someone to our apt. The next day the apt continued at a 90 degree temperature. The conditions are nearly unbearable considering that we are in mid summer. At this point my roommate noticed some of his belongings missing. The apt was locked when we arrived and the only other person who could of been in our apt were the maintenance team.We reported the issue once again and they installed a temporary A/C unit which lowered the temperature to mid 80s. They assured us they would fix the ac the next day. It has now been a week and the A/C is still not working. Last night our apt reached 95 degrees Fahrenheit. I will update if this issue becomes settled. If you are considering this place, DO NOT.

I cannot recommend a place to live any less than Hickory Point. I have been a resident here for 2.5 years, and this has honestly been the worst experience. I have lived through a robbery that led to a shooting and murder, a water pipe burst that left us without water or an explanation for over a week, lease term changes without any type of explanation, absurdly high rent with horrible traffic, constantly broken entrance gates, overflowing dog poop bins with no bag refills for months, some of the rudest and most unhelpful staff I have ever met, crazy high utility bills, overflowing trash collector, extended maintenance issues and numerous entries into my unit that were either unannounced or less than 24 hours notice. This place is a revolving door for tenants, and I would recommend that you save yourself the trouble and frustration of living here!

I have lived here for approximately 4 months. My experience has been overall pleasant. The apartment is in a great location (15 min. or so from Nashville & Franklin area with minimal traffic ), cost very affordable for the area, generous living space, great appliances, fixtures, looks new, beautiful views, well kept property, quiet neighbors (everyone keeps to themselves), safe area and responsive management team. I have had a few minor things that required maintenence and it was repaired within 24 hours. Yes, parking is a huge problem because they are not assigned and some neighbors are not considerate when having guests. This becomes very frustrating and troubling when arriving home late or when you have packages etc. This definitely is something that needs to be addressed by management but cooperation is needed from all who Iive in this community. I feel that some of the reviews are very one sided and unfair. I invite you to check Hickory Point Apartments @Brentwood out for yourself..You be the judge!!

DO NOT MOVE IN HERE !!!!!!!!!!!They women at the front office continuously harass me and my roommates. They lied to us about absolutely everything before I moved in. When I moved in, some of the power sockets in my apartment didnt work so I had the maintenance guys come out and fix it, they didnt fix it and told me to not call them anymore. When I tried to complain about being lied to, they refused to help me. Today, they booted one of my guests cars because he didnt have a guest pass (I couldnt get a guest pass because the office is closed on Sundays) and when I went to the office to ask about it, Maddison and Whitney both yelled at me and told me that if I dont like it here then I need to move out and that they are tired of me and my roommates. They also watch me and take pictures of me and my roommates on our balcony. The maintenance staff will not fix anything in the apartment and when I filed complaints about other tenants, they were not taken seriously. The apartment is way overpriced. The staff is terrible and the parking is unbelievably awful. The only way you can park anywhere near your apartment, is if you pay an extra $150 per month to have a garage. But even if you get a garage, they will tow you or boot you if you dont have a BLUE parking pass. I hate it here. Ive only lived her about 4 months and I wish I didnt. Take my advice and stay away from this place. Youd be better off in the Section 8 housing next door.

I do not recommend this apartment complex (just look elsewhere):When initially looking, I was shown an apartment that had been newly renovated - new carpet, new paint, and clean. I filled out the paperwork over the weekend and came in the following Monday to finalize the paperwork. After I had signed the lease and documentation, they gave me the keys to an apartment directly across from the original apartment I had been shown. The carpet had stains throughout, tears in certain areas, and overall needed to be replaced. (bait and switch) I went back to speak with the apartment manager, I was told you should have seen the property before signing and that the other unit had been switched out. (I wish that had been my only issue). The management does not care about your business and will try to nickel and dime you when they can.Like the idea of a gated community...? Well dont be deceived because they hardly work and usually open them up throughout the night because they malfunction. Now lets talk about moving out. They have a 60 day notice from when you plan to move out. My lease was ending on the 31st of December so I made sure to send them notice well before the 60 day mark. Come January 4th (after Ive moved into a new home), I come to find that Ive been billed $1300 for January rent from Hickory Point Apt. I went in the following day to speak with the complex manager about it. They had no word of me moving out and this is the first they had heard of it. The manager started to say well Ill fix the situation by...then paused...and said, Well I cant tell you when we can get you the refund. Since they had just found out, I said no problem, I understand but please keep me posted on what you find out. Itd been just about a week and I did not receive any email or phone call about the situation. So I went in the following week to find out whats going on. The manager gave me the run around and stated theres no way to refund and theyre trying to figure it out. I asked why I havent received any notice and said it was my responsibility to keep in touch (arrogantly).I WOULD not and WILL not be recommending this complex almost solely based off the management. There are plenty of complexes in the surrounding area that would not treat their residents in this manner.

BEWARE!! DO NOT LIVE HERE!! One of the commenters that put 5 stars..she actually works here, so dont believe it...There are a thousand things that I can say about this place that makes this place terrible, and if I could give 0 stars, I definetly would. Instead of listing a thousand things, Ill just do 5.1.) Yes, they do have a some what of a half court basketball gym which is the main reason I moved here. All summer they took away the privlege of using the court 24/7 because kids from other places kept breaking in. Why punish people that actually pay rent here when its not us breaking in. Then the key stopped working to get in the gym and it took them forever just to try and fix it.2) You pretty much cant have guest because their car will either get towed or booted, and if you have 2 cars but dont have atleast 2 ppl on the lease then your car WILL be towed or you can try and get a garage for an extra $100 a month to hide the second car.3) The pool actually does look nice but was only open for like 3 weeks during the summer because it started to turn green. Yes...green. They told us that they would try and go and fix the problem but now its getting cold so we cant use the pool anyway because its not a year round pool.4) The people that work in the leasing office are awful. They dont care about your problems, and they dont care to fix the problems. I have a refrigerator that has been messed up for the longest. When I asked maintenance, they were saying that I pretty much needed to get a new fridge because almost everyone is having a problem with the fridge. I didnt mind getting a new fridge, but the ppl in the leasing office did. They told me that I couldnt replace the fridge even though it was messed up and they didnt care that I kept wasting hundreds of dollars of groceries.5) Now I know that people dont usually want to work on Super Bowl Sunday, but when your apartment is flooding because these damn people dont want to replace their washing machines, then thats a huge emergency. I called on a Sunday to let mainance know that my apt was flooding from the washer, and guess what they told me....that that wasnt an emergency. This place is awful. And just to add one more. They tried to tell me that I didnt pay my rent (knowing that I did) but it showed nowhere on my statement that they even tried to take it out, so they charged me for a late fee. Maybe if they got some cameras and fixed the cameras that they actually have then we wouldnt have some of the problems that we have.

The apartments are nice- especially if you luck out and get one with a view or tucked away in a corner. Everything else is pretty bad.I loved the idea of living in a gated community but the gate is broken 90% of the time. Parking is horrible- theres nothing reserved specifically for residents so if I get home later than 9pm I have to park a good distance away. Outdoor lighting is more often than not out, making the outdoor mail center right by the broken gate entrance difficult at night- I feel pretty uneasy going there by myself to get my mail. What upset me the most is that the beautiful pools are closed 9 months out of the year, not to mention that the hot tub they said would be completed still has yet to be finished. They also have a lot of hidden fees for grounds keeping, trash, and pest control (even though weve had a good number of stink bug infestations). When we moved in they hadnt finished laying down all the new carpet but werent even aware that they had left entire sections of the apartment with ripped up carpet and nails everywhere so we had to notify the office and have them finish while I tried to unpack around them.Ive lived in worse apartment complexes but Im very glad my lease is about to be up and would not consider renewing. I would avoid living here if you can.

Moved to Nashville in Jan 2012. Looked at over 10 apartment sites around Old Hickory Blvd from Nolensville Pike west over to Brentwood, south down to Franklin. Rents ranged from about $.90/sq ft to $1.50. You have to compare not only price, but location and look.We picked Hickory Point Apartments then and are still here, Feb 2016. The cost of our 1200 sg ft apartment now is in the $1.00/sq ft range. We liked that the apartments were located on a hill, and spaced openly. The porch and windows makes the apartment very open and bright and we have a nice expansive view, not just an apartment next door. We do occasionally hear activity from the apartments above and below, but again, minimally. These are apartments after all. Some people complain about lower cost housing being nearby, but there are woods between Hickory Point and the adjacent properties, so nothing is really visible. Our electric bill average is $107/month. Each apartment is also charged separately for garbage and water; I pay for me not us.The gate system is challenging, but minimally. Lived in a totally gated community, and anyone coming to our apartment, family or workman, had to be signed in; irritating. Here, they call my phone and I beep them in. As the gate system ages, it does get stuck in ‘open’ from time to time.I have found management to be friendly and responsive. Once you accept that you are primarily responsible for your circumstances and that management is here to assist, everything is fine. They are not concierges.Would recommend Hickory Point to friends and family.Donald Horton

This complex is over priced, will cost you hundreds more every month in addition to the rent & not worth the money. The complex is 1.5 miles from Antioch & not near Brentwood. The complex right next to the east is section 8 housing. The complex has an agreement with the federal government to accept refugees from Somalia, Burma & other african countries. The residents BBQ chickens in front of their apts with all of the feathers, head & feet. If you like an international flavor, you will get it when there are Somali women covered head to toe in colorful robes standing on the street at the entrance to the complex when you come home. Drive 3 miles east & get a nice apt for 40% less. The management will brag that the complex is newer than all of the other complexes. They may be newer but the buildings were cheaply built with little insulation between apartments & the outside world. Expect high electric bills to heat & cool. One month my electric bill was $315.00. Its like having an extra car payment. The cabinets are worn out, the sink fixtures are ancient & cheap, the carpet is cheap & never been replaced & expect cold & hot air to blow in & roll in off the windows. You will be able to hear your neighbors, walking & talking. I called the man in the apt above me The Elephant Man because it sounded like that. The tenant before him played wii & the floor squeaked the whole time they were exercising. I recorded it on my phone. The parking is problematic, dont come home until 8:00pm & youll be parking 2 buildings away. The gates are chronically broken, so much for a gated community. When you move out be sure to have a cleaning crew come in, you will be charged for every minor thing they dont consider clean enough. If a countertop isnt clean, they charge you $5.00. They dont give you a move out sheet when you sign your lease, theyll just try to make $$$ off you when you move out. Moving out could cost you a few hundred if youre not careful. The management is arrogant & will try to add extra charges in violation of your lease agreement if you dont watch carefully. I had to consult my lawyer when they decided to double my water bill because they changed their policy. Within the last year they were raising the rent of any current resident that isnt paying what they have decided the going rent should be. I moved recently because they decided to raise my rent $235/mo & attempted to charge me more than the monthly rent that was listed on the website. Be diligent when ordering packages, in 6 wks I received 3 notices of package deliveries & they lost all of them. No over site in who takes what package. Absolutely cannot recommend this complex. It will cost you a bundle & you wont be in a nice neighborhood in Brentwood.

No stars absolutely horrible experience lived here for 2 years in 2 separate apartments. First a one bedroom then a 2/2 they cannot keep a manager because they are such a crooked company blue stone is the conglomerate that owns it. Nothing gets fixed in a timely manner the gates never worked good luck getting into your apartment you pay 1500 a month for later at night when the gate malfunctions, was so bad someone tied it open on a weekend with a chain, Also there was a home invasion when i lived there and the guy shot and killed the invader in his apartment the police report is on file with Nashville metro and Davidson county sheriffs office look it up for yourself. On top of all that huge utility bills and nothing included, You are billed on your rent statement for water, sewage, and trash they claim are included in rent. Power bills were always at least 200 bucks a month and you freeze in the winter and boil in the summer. Had packages stolen from the office several times cause they just throw them in a back room and anyone can walk in and take whatever they want. Also there was a fire in one unit because the fire place flume was clogged and had never been cleaned . Also if you get home after 8pm you will have no where to park i spent countless nights circling the parking lot before then having to park 3 buildings away from mine and hope no one messes with your vehicle cause that has been an issue in the past as well. AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU SIGN A LEASE YOU WILL REGRET IT !!!!!!!! the section 8 next door is far nicer and better this place is such a joke.

UPDATE! Another new manager has started. This is 4 property managers in 8 months. The Vice President of the organization has been contacted and does not have a care in the world. Things are going further downhill. Do not live here. You will regret it.Horrible. Absolutely horrible! Do not move here if you have a choice. This place is infested with centipedes and spiders crawling out of every crevice. The gates have never worked in the 4 months that we have lived here. The property is dirty and disgusting. Management does not care. Since May, there have been three managers; none of which care about the residents. From the start of moving in, we experienced nothing but horror. The carpets were disgusting and needed replaced, but the manager said the carpets were only 4 years old and it wasnt in her budget to replace. The staff (except for Haley) is extremely incompetent and we wont even start talking about the maintenance staff. I plea to you, do not move here. You will be absolutely miserable. Government projects would be a much nicer option than this dump! Run, run as fast as you can!We can never have a quite day at home because people are crammed into the apartments beyond capacity and never seem to stop stomping around. Parking is an absolute nightmare and I have been trapped in my garage more times than I can count. The gates never work and it seems they never will. We always hear promises that there are going to be repairs made, but it never comes to existence. The apartments are not in the best area of town, the gate was one of the deciding factors in us choosing this dump of a complex. We went AN ENTIRE MONTH WITHOUT AT LEAST ONE, IF NOT BOTH, WORKING TOILETS. An entire month! Leak after leak would occur and alas nothing would be done about it. Maintenance said nothing needed to be done. To this day, our hallway bathroom will not flush poop down without flushing 3 or 4 times.Run!
