Loved this place. Perfect for kids. Unlike most climbing places Ive taken the kids to, it took less than 5 minutes from the time we arrived to the time my kids were on the wall. If youre visiting Napa with your kids and need to do something for them, this is the place. There were plenty of climbs suitable for their ages (6 and 9). Staff is very relaxed. Well definitely be back on our next Napa trip!
Super friendly owner helped me get back into climbing after being gone for a while. Let me use some liquid chalk as well. When I used to come here in high school the owner would belay me since Id usually come alone. Great place, beginner friendly, definitely worth a visit!
Great local climbing gym. Bouldering and top rope options! Nice space with plenty of routes for all levels. Been going here for almost 5 years. Highly recommend!
Friendly owners! Helped me set up on the auto belay and even offered to belay me on some routes without auto belay. Routes are fun and challenging, mostly 5.9 and 5.10. The ceiling isnt super high so some routes will traverse across to make it longer. Place didnt have too many visitors today, possibly cuz it only just reopened. Cool background music.
Cool environment, awesome staff, one stop shop to get you climbing, and legit routes
Awesome routes & always new ones to try. Good vibes. Great people. Thank you!
Owner has a great sense of humor. Place is well kept. Lots of varying difficulty routes. They have equipment if you dont have anything. Friendly for beginners.
Friendly owner. Lots of Boulder problems. Definitely exposed some of my weaknesses.
Probably one of the best rock climbing gyms Ive been 2 and 7 years of climbing. Me and my girlfriend went here on New Years Day and had a blast! The owner even gave us free Waters! And a discount on my girlfriends first time! He even assisted her with her first climb and she gains the courage to climb the most difficult of Ledges. Very impressed with the service here and will definitely be back again soon with friends. #2019
This place was perfect for a bunch of energetic boys! The gym has a cool vibe and lots of walls to climb! Highly recommend checking this place out!
We’ve had two wonderful experiences there with my 4 year old son. After being assisted with strapping in the safety harness, my son quickly got the hang of climbing and had a blast. Great hospitality as well!
Very laid back. Courses get changed frequently enough to keep it interesting. Reasonable family membership cost. My kids love it here and they range from 4 to 11 years old, boys and girls. Mobile site needs a bit of work.
One of the best gyms in the bay area....Routes are true to grade compared to many of the gyms in SF. (some of the touchstone gyms are a joke) Theres also dramatically more variety of climbs...including chimneys, bouldering caves, and roof lead climbs. There are also a few self belays for those who dont have partners. Best of all....no initiation fees...$60 a month for full membership, and no contracts which bind you.A big gym with just about everything
Plenty of routes to climb. A nice location overall. Very nice staff who are encouraging.
Wife and I went for a date, to do something different. Awesome experience. The manager was very friendly, taught us the ropes and the equipment usage quickly. There were several walls to climb of varying difficulty - most climbs were buddy assisted, but at least one of each level of difficulty was setup with an auto-winch system if you didnt have a buddy to work your rope. We spent about an hour and our arms and hands were toasted. If we lived locally we would most likely would return.
Rockzilla is a friendly and relaxed place to climb for all ages. Rates are reasonable, routes are always changing and Dwayne is a charming host!
Stopped there on a Saturday to to some bouldering. Owner is super nice and did a good job setting up the place, which has been there for the past 9 years apparently. Bouldering section had a good mix of slabs, vertical, and even a good roof section that was super challenging. Grades were harder then your typical Touchstone gym ratings which I liked and routes were set well. Pro shop looked decent and top roping looked fun but I didnt have the chance to do any routes. Overall, if I was a local in Napa I think it would be a good place to train on the reg. Low crowds on the weekend with most clientele being there for childrens birthday stuff. No treadmill/gym equipment/weightlifting area which I would expect from a modern gym so 4 stars.
Great place to rock climb, good people!
Rockzilla is the place to get ur climb on in Napa! Awsome place with and great group of regular climbers who are all super supportive of beginning climbers!
Fun place to rock climb and you have many desions on what to climb but one of the helpers were yelling at kids for no reason and being cranky and just staring like we did something wrong.
Napa has never been known as a kid-friendly place, so Rockzilla is the answer.
